Hello there! Please feel free to look at my profile.

A little about me. I am originally from Melbourne though currently split my time between New York and Australia. I have a clothing label and also work with my father, musician Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio) so we do a lot of traveling back and forth with work.

I have been housesitting for many years now due to my work schedule and take great pride in looking after someones house. I treat it as if it is my own. I have over 9 years experience, so it is reassuring to have someone you can trust and knows the ins and outs of how housesitting works :) We now housesit around the world which is very lucky. We sit places with 1, 2 and sometimes 3 dogs, cats, birds, horses, fish - you name it we have looked after it.

I can provide many references and I am also happy to contribute to utility bills/rent/mortgage and also provide a security deposit if requested for reassurance.

When I housesit, I often update the owners of the animals with text messages, emails and photos just for the comfort of knowing they are okay.

I have a 12 year old daughter but over the summer period in Australia she spends a lot of her holidays with my mother in Geelong and as we don't see her that often with being in New York, so there may be a couple days here and there when she is with me but overall it will be just be in the house. She is very well behaved and enjoy animals as much as I do.

I work full time and am a bit of a homebody so you wouldn't have to worry about parties or loud music, etc. And the beauty of having someone like myself who works from my computer is that the extra safety of having someone home during the holiday season at all hours of the day.

The dates that I will be in Melbourne between Mid November 2016 - March 2017. I am available for housesitting during this period. I also have a car.

Thankyou and feel free to contact me back if you want to organise a skype meeting or a meeting when I arrive back in Australia. I can work on a time convenient for you

Feel free to look us up for more information: (my label) (another one of my businesses) (my blog) (maysas blog)

My wife and I own and operate an online business, established almost 8 years ago. The majority of our customers are world wide. As a result, we are permanent travelers, but need to be in Australia to visit with grand kids and assorted family! We are animal lovers, and recently gave away 2 fabulous cats to a good home. (Normally our sons look after the cats, but they all recently left the family home in New Zealand!) We now have good experience in house sitting, we are very responsible people, and would treat your home as we would ours, and the animals and garden would be treated the same. My wife is extremely house proud, and loves to potter about in the garden . She is an extremely organised person and she looks after the house and me very well! Kays Dad was in the 2000 Queens Honors List in New Zealand (R. J. SHARP ONZM, For services to Dairying), because he invented the herringbone milking shed in New Zealand in 1952. Only took 48 years to get recognised. We can provide good personal references. We are non smokers. Broadband or good internet access would be needed.

I'm a "professional" house/petsitter taking care of peoples homes and beloved pets around the world.

As a wildlife & lifestyle photographer I have grown up with many pets from chickens, cats, dogs, sheep, horses, ducks, birds and even reptiles. I have regular people i housesit for as i have an incredible trusting relationship with and looking at expanding my housesitting experience now I'm back home in Australia.

I have a family home with mum and siblings and a bunch of animals. I'm technically based in Sydney and spend my week editing and working from home which i belive makes me the perfect sitter. I'm a 39 year old, super career focussed, don't drink or party and have the utmost respect for others space and property.

My love for animals is authentically embeded in my life, i spend 3 months every year volunteering and rescuing dogs in Cape Town South Africa for a pro-life organisation called "Side Walk Specials".

If you have any questions or want to meet me in person i would be MORE than happy to arrange that!

Have a wonderful week and looking forward to exchanging hospitality experiences with your home and pets!

And you might get a couple of free portraits of your pet if i get the chance to take care of them :) i just cant help it.

I’m an experienced pet sitter. I’ve looked after many friends cats/dogs in the past in London and keen to get involved in pet sitting out here in melbourne.

Before arriving in Melbourne I was travelling/volunteering through India and Nepal.

I have only recently joined this website, so far I have completed one 10 day Cat sitting for two adorable cats. Both different personalities and I really loved my time looking after these cats, so super keen to get around and do more pet sitting for others.

I really love animals, particularly cats and would be very affectionate and loving towards your pets, I would certainly treat them as if they were my own!

I’m a non smoker, clean, tidy and would be happy to do other chores around the house such as gardening, watering plants and general house up keep. I would always treat your home as if it was mine.

I can arrange for professional references and/or personal references to be sent as well.

I have a working with children check card which ensures I don’t have a criminal record.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

I look forward to meeting many of your beautiful pets!

I've been renting in Southern Sydney for eight years but the property I'm in is going to be redeveloped. Looking to spend some time in the suburbs between the city and my workplace in Parramatta so that I can make a better decision about my next rental property.

I'm a non-smoker, work in law enforcement and have impeccable references which can be provided upon request. Due to the nature of my work I prefer to not share my photos online, however I am fine to meet in person at a time and place to suit you.

Pets have been part of my life since childhood. I'm fine to feed, wash, brush, clean, medicate, change bedding, fluff pillows, give cuddles, provide company, exercise or do whatever it takes to keep your pet happy while you're away. My work hours do mean that I'd be away from the home for 9 hours a day, so this would limit me to pets that don't rely on human company throughout the day.

I have always maintained a garden and lawns for each of the properties I've lived in, so if gardening is a requirement I'll relish the opportunity.

I am extremely resourceful with any household item or issue requiring attention. I'll keep your property secure and understand the importance of being friendly and respectful to the neighbours.

Thanks for considering my application!

Hi guys, I'm a 28 year old Sydneysider looking for some affordable housing and furry company while I save for a while in this pricey city we call home. I love to write, cook, adventure and meet new people. I study online and work a location-independent job which means I'm often home during the day to give your animals some love and keep the house safe and looked-after. I am bubbly, caring and responsible, and have experience house and dog/cat/fish sitting. I also run (though pretty poorly!) and if you happen to have an active dog am happy to bring them with for a little workout :) I drive a car (sedan), and will need a place to park nearby.

I am a housesitter in Sydney/inner city suburbs. Thanks for looking at my profile!

I enjoy the freedom and discovery of living in different inner city suburbs and would love the opportunity to care for your house and precious pets and plants.

Single, independent and flexible, I am a friendly, quiet and mature professional woman in my early fifties. No pets or children, just a car and some suitcases.

I am self employed and my part-time work allows me to spend more time in your home during the afternoons. This is useful to keep the dogs company, walk them, tend the plants and to be seen to be around during the day. I will also be in most evenings so your house will not appear to be unoccupied.

Responsible, dependable and reliable, I have experience with and enjoy sharing affection with small animals. Growing up my family always had dogs so I have a special affinity with dogs. I like cats too and have happily looked after rabbits, guinea pigs, parrots and fed visiting hungry magpies and lorikeets who expect the owners to be there waiting for them to arrive each day. I'll happily talk to/tend your plants and will carefully follow your watering instructions (especially for those delicate orchids).

I am a non-smoker, clean and very respectful of others, their homes, privacy and belongings. I am not a party person and will spend a good deal of my time caring for and maintaining your property in your absence.

Ideally I am looking for long-term housesitting opportunities but short-term ones are equally welcome.

Again, ideally, I would like to stay close to the Balmain area where I am currently housesitting but would also welcome housesits elsewhere. I have taught tai chi in Balmain for the last 4 years ( in different venues including the PYC and St Andrew's church, and am known, liked and trusted by the local community.

My previous housesits have all been in the Balmain/Rozelle area. The owners specifically wanted their houses to be occupied and well-maintained during their absence with the post brought in every day and the plants watered as necessary.

I would be happy to provide further references - professional and personal. My current and clean Working With Children Check is a more thorough police check of national criminal histories from CrimTrac.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to discussing your needs and how I can best look after your house so you can really relax and enjoy your time away knowing everything is being well taken care of.

Background and Professional Experience:
Born in the UK, I lived (and housesat) for 2 years in Bermuda, spent 16 years in France - ah oui je parle le francais couramment - arrived downunder in 2002 and now am a lucky Australian citizen. My qualifications include a BA Hons and current First Aid Certificate. As a qualified Integrated Body Therapist I am a member of ANTA (Australian Natural Therapies Association) and a Tai Chi instructor accredited with NCAS (National Coaching Association Scheme) and TAA (Tai Chi Association of Australia). For the past 2 years I have been a part-time carer for an elderly lady aged 85 who suffers from vascular dementia/Alzheimer's - a role that I have found very rewarding.

I look forward to house sitting for you and if you have animals (and/or a garden) caring for them as well. I have been around animals since a child having lived on a farm until I was seven. During High School years, my parents annually did a farm sit for two months whilst the farmers had a well deserved holiday - my holidays were thus on a sheep stud with two Jack Russells.

I began house sitting in Sydney in 2015 after being asked to mind my friends kelpies on a regular basis. Due to renting, I was unable to have animals and was glad to help as I love animals. In February 2016, I began minding one home (large garden) every other week, when the owners went to their farm. I did this until June 2017 when I moved out of Sydney.

Work has brought me to Melbourne (August 2018) and a friend has asked me to mind her house whilst overseas. It seems that house sitting is calling me back! I am a clean, honest and reliable person. I've been working as a school counsellor for years and have Working with Children Checks; I've been working as a school counsellor for 15 years and have a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check. Recently I had a career change and am now working in a university as an educator.
I am a non smoker and only drink occasionally.
I have house sat all types of homes; large homes and tiny ones. I've sat large dogs and tiny ones and many cats of various breeds. And one solo bird! I love animals, so pet setting meets that need well. As for gardens - great. I miss the huge garden that I used to care for in Sydney.

My first dog sit referee wrote ...

Having worked with Sharon for a number of years I have come to know of her interest in and love of dogs. She would often visit and spend time with our very energetic and demanding kelpies. So impressed was I by her genuine interest and care for our dogs that I asked Sharon to house-sit while we were away for 10 days in June / July. We left for holidays confident in the knowledge that our dogs would be well fed, walked, entertained, cared for and loved. We were also confident that our house would be looked after - Sharon is most trustworthy and honest. We came home to find two very happy and contented dogs and a house that was treated as a home. Aileen Grattan-Smith

With me looking after your place, you can have your holiday anxiety free.

I look forward to hearing from you.

References, Working with Children Check, Police Check can be emailed to you upon request.

Love animals and great at looking after plants too. Previously had a lab/rottie mix and a burmese cat. I am a non smoker who loves home living. Currently recovering from an op so really wanting to do lots of walks and chill at night time. Have owned my own home previously so know exactly how to look after yours. Feel that house sitting is a great way to check out different areas, make some new furry friends, recover and save some money. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hey! I'm Lily, I'm 22, non smoker, single, vegetarian, and most importantly super passionate about animals! I grew up with a variety of different animals from chickens, dogs, guinea pigs, budgies, rabbits, cats, you name it. Currently I have one cat Mini, (who lives with my parents) who I love dearly, however I love dogs just as equally! I want to try housesitting as I am thinking about moving to Melbourne and I figure it would be a really great way to experience the city, plus its a really good excuse to look after some beloved pets! I am a pretty relaxed and quiet person, I'm an experienced cleaner so would leave your house spotless and good as new! I have plenty of experience with dog walking, babysitting and housesitting and can provide references upon request. I also really love looking after indoor/outdoor plants and watching them flourish! I am available from 30th of July and would prefer a long-ish stay. As I won't be working I am free to look after your pets 24/7! Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions, Cheers, Lily :)

Melissa & Anita

  • Melb. Inner suburbs, Melb. SE suburbs

Hi there - We are not taking any more bookings until further notice!!

We are Mel and Anita who have been together for 5 years. We live a healthy lifestyle, are non smokers, vegetarian, keep a clean and tidy house and rarely drink. Both professionals who work full-time in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. We had been living in Elwood for the past 5 years or so and St Kilda prior to that so weren't in the position to have our own animals. After booking in a few consecutive sits, we packed up our belongings and did housesitting full-time for a whole year!! It was so much fun, that even after we bought a place, we continue to do it occasionally. We looked after some funny characters along the way :)

We completed a number of pet sits with various durations ranging from 9 days to 2 months. We have had the pleasure of looking after just one cat, some tropical fish and one household which had two dogs and two cats. We treat each place we stay at like it's our own and take on all of the responsibilities of housesitting, including mowing the laws, gardening, weekly cleaning, washing dogs etc. We have excellent references after completing a few housesits from this website and as we have done a couple of word-of-mouth jobs, we are more than happy to provide further information from other home owners if requested.

We own an apartment in St Kilda and both have properties in other states, so understand the concerns associated with leaving your home/pets in someone's else's care, but rest assured that it/they will be looked after to a high standard! Mel is an ex PE teacher and her 4 years experience as a live in property manager in London, gave her skills and knowledge required for the general upkeep of properties (including unblocking toilets).

We both have current Police Clearances.

We look forward to hearing from you.

You won't be disappointed, your pets will be well cared for and your house will be sparkling on your return :)

Dear Homeowners,

Thank you for viewing my profile, allow me to introduce myself.

I’m transitioning from 28 years in the technical field to the field of teaching English as a second language (ESL). I have chosen to housesit while earning my diploma in ESL through an online course. This means I will be home the majority of the time to ensure your home is secure and your pets are happy.

I am an animal lover and when I care for another’s pets I treat them as if they were my own; I keep to their routine to ensure they feel comfortable, and I play with them throughout the day, cuddle, walk, brush and feed them.

I care for their health as well as the happiness of your pets. I have a Level II First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification and have experience giving animals medicines, caring for wounds, ear infections and conjunctivitis. If issues arise while I’m sitting for you, I will promptly take your pet to the vet.

With me as your house sitter, your property will be treated as if it were mine—it will be secure and clean, and I will make sure your garden is clear of debris and watered as needed.

I am honest, clean, fit, reliable and health-minded. I am a non-smoker with no children or pets. My references include: 7 Victorian housesitting referrals; a job reference from the Department of Justice, Victoria; a recent National Police Certificate and a Victorian Working With Children Check card.

I have worked for Emergency Management Victoria and am well versed in emergency procedures if issues arise while you are away. I am a trained Montessori teacher; Neuro-linguistic Programming practitioner; and Mediation (conflict resolution) practitioner, and I hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work.

Years ago, I trained my dog (Doberman, Newfoundland, St. Barnard mix) based on Affection Obedience Training method. As a result, there is a mutual respect between me and dogs. They love me because they know I love them; and they miss me after I’m gone.

I've owned 5 cats in my life; I groomed them daily and fed them only the best food. I understand when cats need to be left alone (to sleep) and, when they awake, they love the games I make up like: tag, jump for the paper wrapped at the end of a string and find out how exciting it can be to explore a cardboard box together.

My background includes working at an indoor plant company so, I can tell when your plants need watering and when they do not. I keep them clean so insects are not attracted to them and make sure they have enough light.

When I care for another’s home, I bring my own food and supplies. I message the owners cute photos and videos of their pets so they feel close to them and are assured their pets are happy.

I’m happy to meet with you when it is convenient and will bring my police certificate along. If you have any questions, please call my mobile at: 04 5991 4223.

Kind Regards,
Marsha McGuire
