Hi!!!

I'm a 33 yo Graphic Designer who has been freelancing running my small business for the last 5 years.

In a sea of pet sitting profiles, I decided to use a sense of humor with my one - I hope it makes you smile :)

I can work anywhere there is a wifi connection (or I can bring my own, no problems).

So this means your pets will always have company and cuddles.

I have no children and no pets and am a completely free agent. No sit is too long or too short.

I like to keep fit, so daily walks are always guaranteed. And always happy to venture out on the weekends for adventures to park walks or the beach.

I have my own car so getting around isn't an issue.

A Gippsland girl at heart - I have always been brought up in a household full of animals - whether it's dogs, cats, fish, bunnies, cows, donkeys, chickens - you name it.

I'll look after it. I love to listen to music and cook. I love to read and pursue my business/passion projects - so you'll always find me behind my mac most nights.

I love hiking and getting outdoors. I don't smoke and like to have the occasional glass of red.

I would really love to have a pet of my own - but as I am renting this isn't possible. So I'd love to look after yours.

My friends even bought me a french bulldog pillow to fill the void- I've called him George and he currently guards my couch.

My rental is has 3 balconies full of plants so am happy to be your green thumb too. I treat and respect my house like my own and have always had long-term rentals of 5+ years, with full back and front yards. I was always the gardener in the household and a lot of pride in presentation and cleanliness.

I have been criticised for being too clean - so I'll make sure your home is in the same condition as you left it.

Happy to always meet face to face before you go away for a coffee.

I think petsitting is a great way to experience different areas of Victoria.

It's also a great way to meet fellow animal lovers like myself and as a barefoot investor, I think this is a great way to save for those financial goals.

If this sounds like we match - let's get in touch. Go and enjoy yourself while you are away and I'll take care of the rest!

I am a fit and active, non smoking, single lady in my early 60s who retired a few years ago after working for 38 years as a high school English teacher. Since then, I have travelled extensively and worked as a casual teacher. I have previously owned 4 houses in Sydney and a holiday house on the NSW south coast. Four years ago I sold my Bondi home to live in my holiday house. However, I have now decided to return to Sydney and to would love the opportunity to do some house sitting while I am waiting to purchase a property. I have always taken great pride in decorating and caring for my home, as is evident in the attached photos of my most recent home..

What I have to offer:
Responsibility, honesty, and reliability - my long and successful career as a teacher and Head Teacher, are evidence of my reliability and sense of responsibility. A clear Police Check dated 19 September 2016 is attached.
Excellent housekeeping skills - people often compliment me on the tidiness and cleanliness of my home and my well kept gardens.
Genuine love of animals - for most of my life I have had a pet cat or dog (and sometimes both!). Our pets have always been greatly loved and treated as members of the family. I have bonded quickly with each of the pets I have minded when house sitting, given them lots of attention and love and have been very sad to leave them.
Extensive house sitting experience - I have done 5 house sits in Sydney, each for approximately 4 weeks, and 5 sits of 1- 2 weeks each in Melbourne. All of the owners were extremely happy with the way I cared for their home and pet, gave me very positive references and invited me to house sit again for them. I am sure I would be a great housesitter for you.

We are a retired couple from country SA where we have lived all our lives. We have a very small hobby farm with a few sheep and cattle and in the past have had a dog, cat and chooks. We have a cockatiel bird. We are community orientated people who put a lot back into the community.
We have a mobile coffee van that we operate at events to earn a bit of extra money. I have been secretary of our local show society for 20 years and worked at our local paper for 32 years. My husband worked at a timber mill for 30 years prior to retiring. We take pride in our home and respect other people's property.

Hi there! I am a friendly, considerate, clean and responsible single 39 yr old professional. I work as a paediatric nurse, have recently graduated as a child counsellor, and volunteer as a yoga teacher and with teens on meditation retreats. I love all animals, and grew up with a number of dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs and lizards at home. I have house sat many times for friends, family, and professionally. I am reliable and trustworthy and I pride myself on taking extra care of pets and houses as if they were my own. I will be respectful of your home and privacy, and will definitely not be throwing any parties, I can assure you. I will water your plants and maintain your garden too! I have a lot of love to give to your beautiful animals, and will always ensure they are well looked after with plenty of walks if required and lots of love! I have decided to try the house sitting lifestyle, as I love change, and I love to explore different suburbs and corners of Melbourne. Also, the idea of non-attachment to a house is something that really appeals to me! Given I already work as a paediatric nurse, I am required to have working with children’s checks up to date, and therefore police checks.

I am always happy to have a phone call, or meet you in person so you can decide if I'm a good fit for you and your home.

I have references attached and I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I would love to come and look after your lovely home and much loved pets! I have had many dogs in the past and they have all lived to a great age and I miss them dearly. I am a single, mature aged lady not working at the moment so have plenty of time to take your dogs for long walks, play and take great care of your home. I am a healthy non smoker. At present I don't have had a police check done, but this isn't a problem as I am happy to do so if required.

We are an Australian couple in our early 50’s who recently were lucky enough to retire early. We visited Mexico in March 2018 and returned in July 2018 on a semi-permanent basis. We visited Merida, Progresso, Tulum, Mahahual, Oaxaca City, Puerto Escondido and Mexico City, to see were our first port of call would be. We decided on Puerto Escondido and we have been loving the lifestyle and people here.

Prior to our retirement we were in Australia working full time, Dean in private schools in IT and Jeanette is an ex Bank Manager, and more recently a Business Systems Trainer in the Healthcare industry. We have a personal reference from a business / personal associate who has known us for over 30 years and we have taken care of their family pets when required.

Jeanette and I have owned our own homes for over 25 years and will treat yours well. Our family home of 17 years was on the Gold Coast had a large inground pool, and we have renovated 5 homes in both Australia and New Zealand. Dean especially is a handy man and would definitely be able to arrange and supervise any works/repairs on your property.

We are generally home bodies of an evening, so we like to do some site seeing during the day occasionally, but would be home each evening for your pets.

Our medium term plans is to head back to Australia in late November 2019, to visit my parents, children, dogs and extended family.

We look forward to speaking further with you and please let me know if you have further questions about us that we haven’t covered off.

We have two dogs back in Australia who are now homed with our sister (Charlie a chocolate toy poodle and Missy a toy poodle cross) we miss them a lot and have lots of love to give your pets.
Missy is our lap dog so we are very used to giving lots of pats and having her sitting on us for hours at a time. Charlie is high energy ball chasing boy, both our dogs like to have walks and playtime everyday. So getting the opportunity of spending time playing with other pets is something we love.

We are relatively new to house sitting, however we have done several in Mexico including travel to Lake Chapala in August 2018 to house sit for a lady with 2 large dogs and have her as a reference available on request. In September 2018 we completed a 3 week house sit in Cuernavaca, caring for 3 dogs and 2 cats. Homeowners are happy to have people contact them for a reference also. Both of these recent sits have been through House Sit Mexico site. Both sits have been great and given us time with great pets and also given us the opportunity to see more of Mexico.
We took a break from housesits from October to March, as this is peak season in Mexico and we had visitors, so spent our time in Puerto Escondido.

We have now completed 2 housesits over April and July 2019, in San Miguel de Allende for a month with a gorgeous long haired chihuahua and Lake Chapala for three weeks with two rescue dogs,

We are currently sitting for a month in Chetumal with two rescue dogs and three cats along with looking after a pool and all animals.

We a love the furry friends and have experience in house care.

We look forward to hearing from you.

We are a fit and active newly retired married couple in our late fifties.
Living in a suburban house with our aged but gorgeous cat we are now free and flexible in our house sit dates due to having no more job commitments!
In my previous life I was the Chief Financial Officer for a Brisbane based construction company.
My wife Patsy was a nursery hand for a native plant nursery on the Gold Coast and she is a still a keen gardener and likes nothing more than pottering around our garden.
Our previous home was on 8 acres which included horse paddocks and formal gardens which we maintained to a high level so the care and maintenance of your garden would certainly be in safe, experienced hands.

From an early age my wife has been besotted with animals and has kept a menagerie over the years which included horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and guinea pigs to name just a few!
Any animal in her care would be looked after with much gentleness and love.
Having had a house sitter to look after our rural property and animals in the past we fully understand the importance of our proposed job as house sitters.

We would appreciate the opportunity to become your house sitters and would meticulously maintain your property and care faithfully for your animals.

We have both character and previous house sitting references for you to view on the website and we also both have a National Police History Check available for any house owners that request it.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Vance & Patsy

Since retiring, we are keen to see more of our great country and would love to come to your part of the world and would consider it a privilege to care for your home.

What we offer:
Lifelong experience with and love of all animals. We have always had a variety of pets as well as caring for the farm animals. Enjoy gardening and happy to care for your garden as well as pets. Experienced in general repairs and maintenance if the necessity arises.
Having always owned our own home (except for renting for 15 months following the sale of our business and whilst considering our options), we understand the importance of having someone trustworthy and reliable to care for and maintain and care for your home and pets. We have now been house sitting for over 6 years and looked after 50 homes and various animals.

Over the past 3ish years Morgan (41) and Izzy (37) have provided security, love and care for both homeowners’ furry family members, and their homes.

We look after your home as if it is our own, thankfully we’re both tidy, responsible and genuinely value leaving a place better than we found it.

Professionally we are both video producers and biz consultants (emphasis on Morgan), and copywriters, video editors and artist (emphasis on Izzy). We often work from home, meaning we’re able to provide company for both your 4 walls, and your pets.
Morgan is also an avid DIY’er and enjoys helping with certain household tasks &/or fix-ups you might need done while you’re away.

We’re cinephiles, explorers of new places (whether around the corner, away from the city lights or across the globe) and avid foodie adventurers - both in and out of your kitchen :) .

We both grew up with various pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, and even a horse for Izzy, and genuinely miss all the care and engagement they encourage.

Feel free to get in touch and query away if you feel we’d be a good fit for your needs.

We are a 'senior' couple (non-smokers) and have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland area after having sold our rural property in Tasmania late last year.

In 2017 we became "professional house sitters" and enjoyed the experience very much. However we made the decision to become home owners again late 2017, but this does not mean we have "retired" and will always consider any suitable situations.

We would particularly be interested in discussing our suitability for your needs if you live in the Sydney Northern/Eastern suburbs, Melbourne City suburbs or far North Queensland.

We are practical people and have mostly lived on small acreage properties in Tasmania. We've enjoyed the company of many pets over the years including 2 cats, 2 dogs, a pet sheep, 2 goats (so not 'pet'!) and chickens.

We have had work experience related to housesitting placements when we worked on a remote Pilbara island, and in Coral Bay, WA. Doug was responsible for pool maintenance and general groundsman work, and I did housekeeping duties - and kitchen hand! It was a great experience living on a remote island, and fairly challenging coping with a Pilbara summer. We have also worked in a remote Aboriginal Community in the N.T. Doug was the Essential Services Operator and I looked after the Creche in the morning before changing hats to be the Centrelink Agent/general office admin. person in the afternoon. It was another wonderful opportunity and gave us an insight into the lives of Australia's indigenous people.

During 2017 (our 'gap year') we had the pleasure of meeting several home owners and their pets, and now have experience with managing big, bouncy dogs to the little feisty ones, chooks and cattle.
We can supply excellent references with one home owner declaring we would win a house sitter of the year award - if there was one!
We fully appreciate that making the decision to have people you don't know come to your home and care for your pets, garden and house may be a difficult one. We would like to assure you we would take the time to listen to what is required for your 'loved ones' to remain happy in their home, and would promise to care and respect your property as if it was our own. We are honest and reliable people!

Most recently we had police checks done, which is a requirement for people working for the Australian Electoral Commission in OIC roles at State and Federal Elections, and this we have done on many occasions. We are in the process of obtaining our own police checks. Also police checks were done when working in the N.T. and when I did volunteer work for Vinnies (Airlie Beach) and The Red Cross (South Perth).

Our interests are travel, music (member of a Community Band) quilting, gardening, walking and baking. I love to discover new speciality shops, delis, etc. We enjoy concerts and the theatre.

Below are two references, contact details could be supplied once you have made contact with us, and as we receive new ones we will add them as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read our profile, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Thérèse and Doug Boote.

We are a mature, responsible couple who have had extensive experience over 3 years house sitting. We have looked after a wide variety of animals during that time including dogs, cats, tropical fish and chickens.
I am retired and Michael works part time in the construction industry as a mechanical plumber. We are homeowners ourselves and our home is now rented out on a long term basis as we recently purchased a yacht which we live on in Hobart. Our plans this year are to come back to Melbourne from early May to the end of September to visit family and friends and tie up loose ends before finally cruising full time.
We are both non smokers, house proud, enjoy gardening and exploring new neighborhoods. We are happy to provide references from previous home owners.

We are a couple in our early 60’s – recently retired who enthusiastically enjoy house sitting because it allows us to provide a valuable personalized service to home owners. Nothing gives us more pleasure than making home owners feel comfortable with being away from home, knowing their house is in good hands until the owner's return. We're very grateful to all our wonderful clients for the opportunities they have granted us through inviting us into their homes and lives. We receive trust, and in exchange, we provide loving care. We are non-smokers who are honest, reliable and dependable house sitters who will respect your property and personal things. Our background was in education. We have owned a home and are fully conscious of the care and security needed in keeping a house (including a pool) maintained. Also we have had pets that lived very long comfortable lives because we treated them as part of our family. We will care for your pets as if they were part of our own family. We have had experience in house/pet sitting before and we have references available on request.

*Updated 10 August 2019*

I am an experienced and reliable house-sitter.

I don't smoke, have police checks, former house sit referees, my own car, and am passionate about animals and gardening.

I am currently housesitting until 7 September 2019 (five consecutive housesits), and will be looking for opportunities to care for your home, pets and/or garden from 7 September to 6 October 2019.

I love animals - dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits. While studying at university, I worked in a petstore (Pet Stock) and was also brought up surrounded by dogs. My family raised litters of cavoodles and my parents now run a highly successful dog grooming business in the south east. I am very at ease caring for animals.

I am a government employee in my early thirties. I wake quite early in the morning (around 5am) and live a productive and healthy life. My work is very much 9am to 5pm, and there are options to work from home (we can also sometimes bring dogs to work). If you have a dog that requires walking, this allows plenty of time for both morning and evening walks,

My ideal evening is one spent at home, with a dog or cat to keep me company, reading a book, watching a movie, cooking, and just relaxing.

I own a home, although have rented it out as I have had the opportunity to house-sit and - for now - it makes sense and suits my lifestyle very well as I don't have any other commitments. The place I own isn't ideal for pets (there's no garden) and I'm also saving up to do something fun (like a big trip in 2020!), so house & pet-sitting is ideal for me.

I am very grateful for all housesitting opportunities, and ensure that your home and pets are extremely well cared for.

My preference is for a housesit that is 2+ months, with the more desirable house-sit being one that is longer in length. Once I commit to a house-sit, I will ensure that the commitment is always upheld even if better options present themselves. I pride myself on my reliability, trustworthiness, and integrity.

I will provide a written reference and police check prior to interviewing. Following an interview, if we think the arrangement would work well, I am more than happy to provide a number of referees you can contact.

Thank you for considering me for your house-sit opportunity. I hope to discuss it further with you in person.

23 November 2017 To whom it may concern Re: Monica from Margaret River as house sitter As you are aware leaving one’s home and pets in the care of someone you don’t know is rather daunting, risky and worrying. Monica house sat for us from 2-20 November 2017 and I was delighted with the care she took of our dog and our home. I returned to find a well exercised happy dog, the house looking immaculate, that garden watered, the sheets washed, beds made up with fresh linen, and vases filled with flowers from the garden. I was delighted. I would not hesitate to recommend Monica as a mature, reliable and conscientious house sitter and would be very happy to be contacted to verify this reference. I would also not hesitate to ask her to house sit again if she is available next year. Hi! My name is Carolyn and I am a 38 year old, non-smoking professional. I work full-time and own a property that I rent out while I continue enjoying house and pet sitting around Melbourne. I started house sitting many years ago, looking after the homes and pets of colleagues, friends and family. When I made the decision that I would love to house & pet sit more often, I signed up to this website. I've now been house sitting through this website for over 5 years, and I love staying in many different parts of Melbourne and exploring new areas.

I simply adore all kinds of animals, but mostly have looked after dogs, cats, birds and fish. As I house sit throughout the year I’m unable to commit to having my own pets, so I would love to commit to yours! Your fur babies will be given lots of love, fuss, and as many cuddles as they desire. It is important to me to follow your routine with your pets as closely as possible. I would very much enjoy taking excellent care of your fur babies, just as you do!

I am a clean, responsible and considerate person and I consider it a privilege to care for your home and pets. As well as happy pets, your home will be well looked after and on your return you will find it as clean and as tidy as when you left. I would really like for you to have peace-of-mind while you are away, so I am more than happy to provide you with as many updates from home as you'd like :).

THE ESSENTIALS:
I am a reliable, non-smoking, single 33 year old professional (lawyer/public servant) with house and pet sitting experience. I love new challenges and adventures but have parents who passed on to me the importance of caring for and creating a haven at home for all occupants (humans, plants and animals alike). I triple check locks and put myself in another's shoes before acting. I am an early riser and have energy and enthusiasm to play with your pets or water your plants as I am a fit and healthy individual.

WHY WOULD I SUIT YOUR HOME?:
I am trustworthy, clean and have great attention to detail (the lawyer in me!) - I have a stable professional career in government in Melbourne CBD as a public servant I don't work long hours so I can BE THERE TO KEEP YOUR HOME and PETS LOVED AND SECURE. I also work flexible hours and can work from home part of the week. I am as comfortable running around with a dog as I am tending to plants or fish. I am friendly and easy to communicate with should you need anything while away. I count turtles, cats, horses and hermit crabs among the animals I've lived with and cared for, as well as being allocated garden tending duties while the family for whom i used to nanny would travel overseas. I have travelled widely around the world from Japan to France to Tanzania to Colombia and such experiences have made me adapt well in new environments and I have good humour to tackle any situation. I enjoy reading and French cinema and am quite contemplative. I love a social beach day but also practice meditation.

If this is what you are seeking for peace of mind, then I am the sitter for you.

WHY AM I HOUSE SITTING?:
I have been living interstate for 7 years and recently returned to Melbourne for work and family. I have landed at my parents place in Parkville and am keen to find a place of my own soon but in the meantime I would like to do some housesits to try different areas of Melbourne. As I have house sitting experience from Perth and Sydney (I did six months in total 2013 / 2014 and also for friends in McMahon's point when i arrived in Sydney), the logical thing seems to put that to good use. I am keen to experience new areas of Melbourne and have a change of scenery.

I'm a 30 year old single gal with a passion for traveling the world and experiencing life in new places.
House sitting not only helps me fund my travels, but will provide me with the experience I need to secure house sits overseas while I'm traveling.

I've always had pets throughout my life - dogs, birds, rabbits, fish - I have even lived with a pet rat (he was my housemate's, but he loved to cuddle in my scarf) and I now care for my housemate's cat on the 3+ days per week that he's not home.

I have cared for my friends and colleagues dogs while they have been away, doing twice-daily visits for feeds, play time and walks. One of the dogs I looked after needed daily eye drops for 2 weeks, and we got on just fine :)

I work full-time Monday to Friday as a Medical Typist in the CBD, and in my spare time I enjoy exploring Melbourne, seeing live music, catching up with friends or just staying in and watching a good series on Netflix.

I'm available to sit for pets who are happy to be left alone while I'm at work, but ready to be spoiled in the mornings and evenings, with extra play time on weekends.

I am a Critical Care nurse and artist with a love of travelling and creating beautiful spaces. I am well attuned to living in other people's homes, having spent many months in Kenya and Morocco volunteering and living with local families. I love experiencing different cultures and always feel honoured to be welcomed into someone's home!
I have extensive experience house and pet sitting/dog walking for friends and family, and have recently started formally house sitting. I've found it to be extremely rewarding and a delight being able to spend time with different animals while seeing new areas of Brisbane. Having grown up with a menagerie of pets (dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, cattle and a horse) it has brought be a lot of joy being able to interact with so many animals again.

Something travelling has taught me is that I am both very flexible, but also very impacted by my surroundings -- as an artist this means I always put a lot of energy into creating a space which is beautiful, full of light, and clean. I work in a very busy Emergency Department so when I'm home, I love to relax with a coffee or wine, read and paint, and play with whatever animals happen to be near me! (I'm often found singing off-key to them but who's judging haha)

I am able to provide past sitting references, a police check, and a rental history report on request.
