I am a single 61 year old, retired former public servant. I am financially secure, well educated and well travelled. I try to run my life simple, peaceful and close to nature. I am a meditator and I practise yoga daily. I am fastidious and keep my surrounds uncluttered and extremely tidy. I clean the house I live in chemicals free as much as possible. I do nor smoke or drink, I do not gamble and I eat healthy and organic food. I like gardening and growing my own vegetables. I find these activities very rewarding as well as therapeutic. I like animals especially cats, which I find serene and independent and dogs for their fondness of humans. In my younger days I spent time on farms in Poland and enjoyed a lot of interaction with other domesticated animals. I owned several houses in my life, the last one being in Suffolk Park, which I sold in 2015. In my sits so far i have looked after the houses as well as vegetable gardens and dogs, cats, chicken, lorrikeets, cockatiels, goats, steer, sheep, horses, alpacas, fish turntle and a donkey.I have enjoyed my house sits. I feel they work for both parties. It is a great way for me to see new parts of Australia and give the owners the freedom to travel. I am able to provide good references which will show that I maintain properties very well.
We are an Irish couple who have been travelling to Australia every second year since 2009, usually spending 4-5 months there at a time. Our son, his wife and son live in Melbourne and, of course, visiting them is our main reason for travelling to Australia. On our previous trips we have taken part in WWOOFING. This is volunteering to work on various farms and properties around Australia in return for food and accommodation. Details can be found on the website..www.woof.com.au. We have had really positive experiences doing this and have met some wonderful people. Some properties we return to time and time again. It is a wonderful way to travel and see the wonderful Australian countryside. We have owned our own home here in Ireland for the past 35 years. We are both very houseproud, responsible and reliable and would take excellent care of your home, pets and property. We love the company of animals and have owned several cats over the years. We also have plenty of experience with dogs and farm animals. We live in a rural area in the west of Ireland. We will be available for house sitting from October 22nd 2017 until mid February 2018. We can supply references upon request.

Hi There! We are Mimi & Kurt and we have a great passion for travel, philanthropy work and are big animal lovers. We currently run our own not-for-profit business which focuses on hunger relief and hope to expand this worldwide. We are also planning towards opening our own animal shelter & adoption centre in the near future. Our work is 100% online and this flexibility allows us to travel the world - generally for both volunteer work and leisure. However, no matter where we are we will always call Australia home :).We are huge foodies and love spending most of our time at home relaxing, cooking and cuddling up with any fur babies in our care. As we both work from home we can guarantee that all pets will have company 24/7. We have extensive experience looking after animals within the family as well as volunteering at the RSPCA in QLD. When we are not home we love spending time getting fit outdoors at parks or the beach. If your pet needs a lot of exercise we are definitely the right choice for you!We are very house-proud people and non-smokers who like to keep a very clean home. Kurt also has had many years of experience as a landscaper and as a result he is more than happy to assist you in maintaining your garden. We are a retired, non-smoking, quiet living couple. We are well-traveled and when we stay in a property anywhere in the world we look after it properly and leave it in very good order, clean and tidy.Although we are UK based we are always looking for opportunities to stay in Australia. We have considerable experience of house/pet sitting with cats mainly, but also with other small animals, here in the UK and in Australia. We also had cats for over 35 years! We have, of course got references and a police check. Currently we are available for the following period:Mid-Dec 2017 to mid-Jan 2018 (4/5 weeks) when we will be extending an already planned Oct/Nov visit to our daughter who lives in Sydney. The tickets are booked and paid!Dick/Ann
Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on email@example.com anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva
I am a single, non-smoker and non-drinker who enjoys a quiet lifestyle and loves animals.I work in Business Improvement, which gives me the flexibility to work from anywhere in between projects and experience our beautiful country whilst looking after pets. I am responsible, reliable, organised, trustworthy and considerate ensuring neighbours are never disturbed.I am neat and like an orderly and clean environment. A committed safe pair of hands who can handle most emergencies and would be meticulous in maintaining your home, loving pets and plants whilst you are away.Excellent References.
My name is Sam, I'm 22 and a qualified emergency vet nurse and current vet student at Sydney University. I am quiet and clean, and spend most of my time studying, working or doting over animals. I love caring for animals of all types, particularly cats and dogs, and am trained to know when something is wrong with your pet- meaning you can enjoy your holiday knowing your beloved fur baby is in good hands!I love pet sitting and experiencing the wide variety of personalities I see in the animals I look after- no pet is ever the same as another and I love getting to know them all!I am looking for both long and short term house/pet sitting opportunities that ideally are located closer to my work and/or university, as I live quite a distance from both. I am always happy to accommodate and tweak my services for any special needs, be it those of your pet (medications, physiotherapy requirements, etc) or those of your home (watering plants, mowing lawns, etc).I hope to hear from you soon!
I am a single, non-smoking professional life model touring Australia on my motorcycle, heading up towards Queensland. I grew up in Melbourne and want to venture off to new places. I adore animals whether they be scaly, slippery or furry and I cared for my beautiful family dog for 15 years before she passed. I have previously house sat - duties included watering plants, caring for the family dog e.g. feeding, daily walks, playing etc., caring for family cat. I am capable to fulfil the tasks which you require and can provide excellent references. I'm passionate about travelling, having new experiences and being apart of wholesome communities. I'm open-minded, care-free, minimalistic and practise a clean and healthy lifestyle. I take pride in my living space and treat it as a sanctuary. I'm clean, tidy, organised and can provide a police clearance, so rest assured your place is in good hands! I am mature, responsible and very reliable. I also have a knack for being able to declutter whether that be pantries, cupboards or rooms, so if a place in your home needs sorting, I'm your gal! I enjoy house sitting because it gives me a solid space to call home whilst I travel, and it's even better when I have creatures that I can cuddle up to and/or care for while you're away. A little more about me - I was home-educated, I have a back round in the performing arts which includes acting (stage and film). I'm also a dancer and a former gymnast. I worked as a 60s GoGo dancer for four years at a well known Melbourne tiki bar and restaurant called 'The LuWOW' which was an amazing experience (sadly it has closed down), taught amateur gymnastics to children for six years and have been a babysitter and nanny for years on and off. My hobbies are - cooking & eating, reading, hiking, cold swims in the ocean, spending time with friends and family, learning new skills, motorcycling, writing, singing, photography, drawing & painting and of course life modelling which I do as my profession. I look forward to chatting with you!

Originally from Australia, I have been traveling full-time since June 2014, living in Thailand, Canada, USA, Mexico, Egypt and now back to Mexico. I am now looking for sits as I am returning to Australia in late 2017.A highlight for me is meeting new people on my travels, through housesitting I have made some wonderful friends - both animal and human! Before setting off on my journey around the world I used to work as an Executive Assistant in the Media field. I now am in the process of opening my own online business. I have extensive experience looking after dogs and cats through petsitting and volunteering. I have previously spent four months in Thailand volunteering full-time at a dog shelter with subsequent returns over the last couple of years. My main duties were walking, socializing, giving basic medical treatment, feeding and bathing the dogs. There were over 300 there, so it was always busy. I have always owned pets whilst growing up and into my adult life, both cats and dogs. I grew up in the country, so was also around farm animals. I have had to administer medication to some of my animals I have been sitting for in the past, I have also had to take animals to the vet for treatment. I am not afraid to get in and get dirty when it comes to animals, I understand they can make mess at times and I always aim to ensure your house and pet's environment is keep clean and tidy. Here is an overview of some of my past and upcoming housesits.Dec 2016 - Jan 2017 - Turkey, 30 Cats and 5 dogsMay 2017 - Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, 2 catsMid June to end of July 2017 - Mexico City, 1 catAugust - September 2017 - Cozumel, Mexico, 2 dogs & 2 cats and turtlesOctober 2017 - Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, 1 catI have been lucky enough to book many of my sits through Facebook forums, I have more references offline. I have flexible and easy going attitude with the ability to quickly adapt to new environments. I am responsible, trustworthy, independent and can think on my feet and problem-solve. I keep a quiet, clean environment and treat other people's home and possessions with respect and privacy. But above all, lots of love and care for your pets. I try to live like a local as much as possible when I travel and experience life away from the tourist areas. I am mainly working online and can spend most of my time at home with your pets. I am a homebody and feel very comfortable being on my own.
I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you. I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are certainly respectful, house-proud sitters, with Tony being a dab hand at housework and gardening while Helen is something of an expert at quality control, and you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
Hi, my name is Jayne. I am 62 and a non smoker. I am conscientious, clean and adore dogs, like cats. I would take the kind of loving care with your home and pets you would take. I walk once or twice a day so dog walking is fun for me. I like watering and gardening and i even love mowing but must admit i can't always get mowers started! I started housesitting in WA about 10 years ago in Perth and Dunsborough for 4 years and have housesat in Queensland, port macquarie and the northern rivers. People have always been happy with the health and happiness of their pets and their house when they have returned home. I have been offered repeat housesits. I have great references. I owned my own business in Sydney for 12 years so you can see i am responsible and reliable. I am semi retired and work mostly from my laptop so can work anywhere. i design and make semi precious stone jewellery and whenever i get the opportunity i make no dig gardens and grow beautifully healthy vegies. I sold my home in New South Wales in 2008 while i was enjoying living in the Margaret River region of WA. I have come back east because my mother is elderly now. I have had the joy of owning 3 Scottish Terriers: Mac, Skye and Kiltie. I would like to housesit anywhere from Port Macquarie up through the Northern Rivers and Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Please contact me if i can help. Kindest regards, Jayne

I am in a transition stage this year, having put my home in storage at New Year and I'm undertaking full time house sitting while I live in different suburbs and the surrounding areas of Sydney. Eventually I aim to buy an apartment and will either rent it out or live in it. In the last twelve months I sold a business after building it up over twenty years and moved out of a townhouse where I had lived for twelve years. I am undertaking a masters degree by research this year and next so I have a lot of time to stay "in" if required which will suit pet owners. I have been enjoying the house sitting community and it suits my current life of studying and doing much less work.I love animals and, apart from the last 5 years, have had pets of all descriptions most of my life. An inner-city person now, I have lived in different places over the years including by the ocean, on a river and on a farm over twenty years ago and raised animals of all kinds from baby lambs and calves to cats, dogs and birds. I pet sit for friends when they are away and the pets always take to me quickly as I do them. I have worked in the arts and business for twenty five years and now run a small home based business as well as my study which does not require attendance at class. I have grown children who are totally independent and I feel this is my time to explore new ideas and live in new areas. House sitting is a great way to live in new areas and transition to a new home eventually for myself. I am very responsible, a garden and pet lover. I do need to stay within commuting distance of Sydney for study and family.
Two very quiet mature non smoking, non party, women who love classical music, and our beloved 11 year old Lab/staffy boy who is a quiet gentleman, and an inside dog, he travels with us now since we have stopped travelling overseas, we promised him we would never leave again. We have been house sitters over the years and locum managers for B&Bs, self catering cottages and small farms. We would now like to pet/house sit for other people. After lots of travelling during which we have had special people look after our beloved boy, we could enjoy our trips, we would now like to help others to enjoy their travels. Our beloved boy gets on with dogs, cats, chickens, sheep and horses and of course loves people. References can be supplied, and our police check is up to date Do you need us? We would be very pleased to help you enjoy your adventures.
