Non smoker, male, 61 years young, retired after 43 years with S.A. Police. Now grey nomading Australia in a 2004 Chevy Silverado 4x4 diesel dual cab canopied ute and a very large 30 foot/ 9 meter long, 3.15 metre high, New Age Caravan, which is my home.Hence need reasonably substantial roads, and large driveway’s, block’s to access and park my home if engaged.I like and get along well with almost all animals and household pets and have had dogs, birds, fish and reptiles in the past. Do prefer dogs to cats. I do not have any pets of my own with me for practical reasons, and whilst I can quickly form a friendly relationship with them, I will not sleep with anyone else's pets in/on my bed or in my caravan/home and like to maintain a clean neat living environment. Have no problem residing in one of your rooms if need be for both house and pet security, comfort and reassurance.Looking to both expand wanderings and defray costs of grey nomading Australia by occasionally house sitting for mutual benefit.
I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements.Hope we can assist each other .

Dear Home Owner,I am a reliable, trustworthy, practical, clean and tidy, considerate and quiet, mature woman. I am active, a non-smoker and love walking – dogs too! We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus! We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. Over the years we have also had extensive experience in house & garden maintenance having renovated our own properties & also as sitters, we have cared for a number of different types of homes & properties ranging from large farms through to smaller homes & units. We do understand that everyone's house & pets are different & we seriously take this on board & listen to each individuals requests & we will follow through with meeting your specific requirements while we stay & promise to keep you updated while you are away. The opportunity to become your house sitter would be a great privilege & something we would not take for granted, as we both understand it is a necessity to respect your house & property & keep it well maintained while in residence. We are both non smokers, healthy & happy people & look forward to hearing from you.If required we can provide further reputable references & recommendation contacts.Hope to hear from you !Susie & Gary

I DO NOT charge a fee. I love travellilng, meeting wonderful people & making lots of furry friends! This is not a holiday for me, but my dream lifestyle, & I take my housesitting responsibilities very seriously. I was "born to housesit" & I absolutely love it!I am non-denominational in religion but lead a Christian lifestyle, with good family values. I do not smoke or drink, do not have parties. I am vegan, very health-focused, love exercise & being outdoors in nature. I am home a lot, so can spend lots of time with your animals, maintain property security & attend to all houseshold / gardening chores. I don't go out at night.I am very capable, independent, healthy, happy, friendly, reliable & extremely organised. I have always owned my own home & always had pets. I enjoy a "simple life" - much happier with less material things & more quality time spent with family/friends, exercising, eating well, being in nature, being with animals. I love meeting people from "all walks of life" - especially people from different races, cultures, age groups, religions & lifestyles.I spent many years working full-time in a NSW government department doing legal work. I spent two years working as a part-time cleaner in a high-security bank. I spent the last two years studying.* ANIMALS-----------I absolutely adore all animals & believe they are a big part of any family - you can be assured that I will treat them very well & include them in all family activities. I can do grooming, give medication, am confident with disabled or elderly pets. I can handle big dogs who pull on the lead. I can walk dogs twice per day - to the beach / park / around the neighbourhood. I will give all animals lots of company, play love & attention - whatever they need to keep them happy & sticking to their routine. I can send you daily photos / texts / emails of your pets playing / walking etc, to show you they are being well cared for & to give you peace of mind. I carry an RSPCA Pet First Aid Guide, to give immediate first aid to pets if needed. I have a stationwagon with a pet/cargo barrier to take your doggies on outings if they like. I have cared for rescue pets, dogs, cats, chooks, rabbits, cows, goats, bees, fish, wild birds, caged birds, alpacas & a pony - all of which I have photos. * YOUR HOME-----------I am very house-proud & keep a spotless home. Your home & surrounds will be immaculate upon your return. I never wear shoes in the house, never put feet on furniture, always use coasters/tablecloths. I can do whatever you need me to - collect mail, forward important mail to you, take phone messages, be home for tradesmen, put bins out, start car engine so battery doesn't go flat, water plants, gardening. weeding.I will not use your car, phone or computer - I have my own. I will not use your microwave or dishwasher - I just don't like them. I very rarely use a dryer.Prior to your return, I can stock the fridge/pantry. I will leave dinner & the following morning's breakfast for you. I would never have guests over without your permission.* I BRING MY OWN---------pillows, pillowcases, mattress protectors, rice cooker, blender, water filter, kitchen tidy bags, tablecloth, household items (dishwashing liquid, handwash, toiletries, washing powder), I just need sheets, towels & blankets please.* AGREEMENT---------I am happy to sign an agreement.* CHILDREN--------I have 2 wonderful children - aged 10 & 8. We "homeschool" on the road. They are extremely well-behaved, mature, very clean & tidy, do not break things, do not run around the house, do not wet the bed (I bring my own mattress protectors anyway), are very respectful of other people's property & absolutely adore all animals! They are very gentle & kind to animals, do not play rough & do not hurt them in any way. They have been brought up as vegan & to understand the importance of treating living things as equals. All of my previous homeowners will testify that my children are no problem at all - they are an asset - with all the love & attention they will give to your pets. You will see for yourself how well-behaved they are. It also means that we can walk three dogs at a time, not just one! They have their own references & their photos are attached.* BEDDING - we only need a double & single bed please. And we are minimalist, which means we don't need a lot of living space.Thankyou & look forward to hearing from you soon!Leanne.
Hi there, I'm a semi retired 50 something male (non smoker) who looks after people's pets and homes. I have had many happy clients, including lots of dogs and cats and horses and cows (see pics); I'm sure their owners are happy too. I have many references from pet owners who you can speak to; including police personnel, doctors and business owners, so you can check my bona fides.I have much rural experience and I'm rather handy with tractors, diggers, ride on lawn mowers, chainsaws and the like. Homes in my care have varied from farms to cute cottages to executive palaces and high security homes. My preferences are northern rivers of NSW / sthn Queensland and the greater Sydney area, and now, Melbourne. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks :) Available mid November to 24 December and from 14 Feb 2018.

My life has always had animals of some description - horses, goats, dogs, cats, birds, and the odd calf, sheep etc. Still working full time but recently at a stage where the kids have either gone OS or have boyfriends so I now have time and holidays to myself. Time to explore Australia and what better way than house sitting! I am very capable around the house/farm - understand machinery, can drive tractors, mowers etc. I love walking so dogs are a must. I have no animals with me as the kids have kept them, but horses live on the property I have recently moved out of although I still have full access. There are retired and happy. I am clean living, non smoking, happy to look after almost any animals, anywhere. I am heavily involved in Equestrian sports but also love the water, and the bush.
About me:I am an experienced house and pet sitter that enjoys taking care of pets and seeing new places. I enjoy the opportunity and friendships that house sitting brings. I don’t have my own pets so I really enjoy spending time with the animals while house sitting. I am a trustworthy, responsible, clean and non-smoking Australian male (37). I have a lot of house and pet sitting experience. I am reliable, practical, and easy to get along with. Your pets and home will be extremely well looked after by a capable person. I am a serious house sitter, one that does what they say they will do. I am currently completing my post graduate studies in Psychology. I have dedicated my career to helping people get through hard times and become the best version of themselves. I am off campus so I study from home and this allows for additional time with the pets and keeping an eye on the house. This is part of why I have decided to do house sitting. The other reason is that I really enjoy it! I enjoy the variety of living in new places and meeting new and interesting people such as you! House sitting provides an enjoyable and adventurous lifestyle for me. I have a current national police security check. In my work I have gained security clearances at the highest level that have allowed me to work at government sites such as ports, airports, government offices and defence sites which you need to have a clean record to obtain. I hope this indicates to you my trustworthiness. I have my own car and am independent in my style of living.Pets I have looked after:I go above and beyond with pet care. I love all types of animals and have looked after almost everything you could find in a backyard. This includes mostly dogs, cats and budgies, but also parrots, stick-insects, lizards, snakes, horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, hermit crabs and even a tarantula! I do my best to not disrupt your pet’s routines so I feed them and walk them as close as possible to the same time that you do. I am happy to spend extra time with needy animals that get upset when their owners are away. I always make sure all pets eat enough each day. I also can administer medicines, worming tablets if need be. Any special dietary requirements are catered for and an extra walk or games no problem at all. In the case of an emergency, I will contact you and drive your pet immediately to your preferred vet. I have looked after many rescue cats and understand they can sometimes need extra time and affection. From 2013-2015, I saved, reared and fostered 21 stray kittens at my house. They all were tamed, vaccinated, micro chipped, de-sexed and found happy homes!Types of houses I have looked after:I have experience looking after large multi storey homes with extensive gardens and pools, houses on acreage, normal size family homes and small apartments.Extra things I can do:If you like I am happy to send you email or text updates on the house and pets so that you know everything is ok and see how your furry friends are going. Clean the pool if you have one.Mow the lawn and water the gardens.I will collect the mail every day and If you like I can forward you any important mail via email if you need me too. Put out/bring in the garbage binsStart car if needed to prevent battery going flat (please note I have my own car and would not drive yours).I leave the house fully cleaned before you come back so that you arrive to a fresh tidy home. This includes the pool and gardens. I can also mow the lawn if you need it.I can also pick up some groceries before you come home so you can take it easy when you arrive. Most people like to come home to fresh milk, bread and juice.A quick noteI also prefer that we have a written agreement that outlines my duties with detailed instructions, vet contact, trusted person or family member contact (if you are overseas), authority to be in the house while your away (Id like it if the neighbours don’t think I am squatting in your house!) and any other things that may be needed to be carried out around the house. I am happy to send you some references if you request. If I sound like the type of house or pet sitter that you would like then please contact me.I look forward to hearing from you.Best wishesBrett
I'm a fit active 72 y.o. retired pharmacist. Home owner in suburban Melbourne. Sober and non-smoker. Don't use drugs. Divorced, living alone. When married used to have 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Love dogs, especially large ones. Fine with cats. Used to own chooks.Looking to house sit just to provide an inexpensive change of scenery. My previous experience in looking after other people's houses includes occasional weekend home swaps with friends who live in country Victoria, which included looking after their dog. They will vouch for me (contact details on request) and I could provide additional references. Updates re experience: I've recently (Dec 2017/Jan 2018) completed a 6-day sit looking after a house on 5 acres in country Victoria plus 2 Border Collies, 2 cats and about 20 chooks and ducks. And in April 2018 I did a two-week sit of house and dog in far north NSW. I have excellent references (available on request) from both of these.I live a quiet lifestyle. Not a party person. I look after my home with great care and would do likewise with others.I'd suggest arriving a day (or maybe two) prior to your departure to facilitate an effective handover and help us both to feel confident in the arrangement.I had a police check before starting some voluntary work and could probably supply a copy. Also have a Working with Children Check card.
We are an older couple. We own our own home and we recently lost our little dog who had been with us for 17.5 years. Our little dog was certainly "part of the family". We love all types of animals. We are retired. Peter is a retired Senior Sergeant with the Victoria Police. He still works in the judicial system as a Justice of the Peace. I have a current Police Check. I was a teacher/school counselor. We have had experience house sitting and we do know how we would like people to respect our property so naturally we would do the same for others. We really love to travel and visit new places. We enjoy walking and reading when we are on holidays.Your house would be left just the way we found it on arrival. We can provide references if required.
Update!!! Ross needs a new hip so we had to advise all our pet sits we couldn't sit for them this year. Better to pull out now while they still have loads of time to get new sitters than mid way though a sit. We love what we do! We will be back in action ASAP so watch this space!Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 62 and 63 who have lived and worked in the same area for 35 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide lots of references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We also had sits in Queensland, NSW and Tassie and would love a sit in NT, SA, and WA!! We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that we are retired, our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. We love animals and always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas and he takes his fishing boat. We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we will try to accommodate our time to suit your needs. We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and escaping the cold Victorian winters. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions and of course contact details such as your mobile number and email address. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we've found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Luckily for us we have lots of repeat house sits which makes us very happy.Jo and Ross Tanner
Recently retired from working in aged-care, now embracing house sitting full time to travel and explore Australia and meet new people.I am an active, non-smoking, mature single female. We retired after selling our property management business and are an active and very healthy, non smoking couple aged 73 and 70. Because of our business experience we are very familiar with the proper care of homes and the needs of owners.A number of years ago, between businesses, we looked after friends businesses, homes and a B & B and also have cared for our friends’ pets in our home. We own our home where we have lived for nearly 40 years. Until recently, we had 4 chickens, and also a very faithful old dog, Hoover, a kelpie and cocker spaniel cross, who passed away, aged 15, a number of years ago. During the last 2 years we have completed 4 successful house sits at Somers Victoria, Margate Tasmania, Bulahdelah New South Wales, and Port Wilunga and Adelaide, South Australia. We stayed at Margate for 3 months between July and October, 2015, and maintained a beautiful 5 acre garden of mainly European influence trees and shrubs and an amazing vegetable garden. We are able to forward details of these owners for you to contact. In the past we have also used house sitters. Most of the experiences were successful, therefore, we fully understand the requirements of the home owner and the responsibilities of the house sitter. We are happy to speak with you on the telephone or Skype if you wish.Warm regards, Howard and Mary
Two very quiet mature non smoking, non party, women who love classical music. We have been house sitters over the years and locum managers for B&Bs, self catering cottages and small farms. We would now like to pet/house sit for others. as after lots of travelling during which we have had special people look after our beloved boy who sadly has gone where good pets go when it is their time for peace, we would now like to help others to enjoy their travels.References can be supplied, and our police check is up to date Do you need us? We would be very pleased to help you enjoy your adventures.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

If you entrust something to John, he will take care of it, and you, with all his strength and ability – and as a highly tenacious individual, that is saying something.I stayed in John’s house as a “boarder” for a few days a week, for about a year, while travelling into Sydney on business a few years ago. John is a very house-proud and particular man, everything has a place and everything is in its place. He allowed me plenty of freedom to “make myself at home”, and looked after the property I left in the room from week to week, and his Golden Rule is simple: leave it as it was when you found it, or better. In reciprocity, for a few days a week for a year or more, I allowed John to use my Sydney-based vehicle while I travelled overseas; he follows his own advice, always surprising me with excellent care and attention to my car; perhaps he leaves it full of gas, perhaps he takes it in for a service, perhaps he cleans it; common courtesy perhaps, but that’s exactly what you hope for, when you leave a valuable asset in someone else’s care.In summary, I have no hesitation in recommending John for the role he has indicated he’s interested in (house-sitting), and I’m confident he will protect and defend the owner’s property, and consequently live up to your trust in him.Kind regardsJames PowellWiseTech GLOBALe: email@example.com | s: cargowise.james.powell | t:+61 (2) 8001 2200
HiWe are Tegan and Marty and we are a caring and responsible professional couple. We are currently completing long term House/Pet Sitting until September 1 2018 but looking for opportunities following this. In recent years, we have looked after pets and property for friends and family in and around the Sydney and Hunter Valley areas. We've cared for animals from dogs to alpaca's. In the city and on some land. We would love the opportunity to come and care for your house and any animals you may have. We both grew up in regional areas with pets of our own so we love any opportunity to hang out with animals of all shapes and sizes. We love animals of all kinds but have most experience with dogs.We enjoy good food, good wine, we like the outdoors and spending time with family. We both love our jobs and Tegan studies too, this means we are often home after work and over the weekends.Seeking locations that we can commute to work from as we will still work from Redfern and Cammeray. We are obviously happy to travel into work from all over Sydney, eg we will be housesitting in the lower Blue Mountains over winter.Any questions, please get in contact, we'd be happy to meet you and your pets prior to arranging anything to ensure it would be a good fit.We look forward to meeting you.ThanksTegan & Marty
AAA+ CAREFUL WITH YOUR PLACE & PETS ! We can guarantee that you'll be very happy if we mind your place and pets !Preferred Spots at the Moment :- Northern NSW & Gold Coast , QldWe have been house-sitters for 14 years now and we have excellent references. Our property experiences include a 300 acre farm , acreage blocks , luxury homes and suburban homes. Our pet experiences include cattle, horses, dogs, cats, chooks, birds , native wildlife.I prefer the Gold Coast & Northern NSW so that I can visit family without driving for 2 - 3 hours. [ We live an hour north of Brisbane]I am also looking for employment in these areas so that I can relocate down there. At present I am a charity worker. My current project is getting donations to send Hampers to farmers and country families doing it tough. After the recent floods, we will be directing much of our efforts to assisting those who have been affected. When I do a house sit , I will bring either my fiancee or my daughter .None of us do smoking, drinking, recreational drugs or any other bad habits. We are all neat and tidy in our habits. My fiancee Trevor is a great handyman who enjoys mowing lawns & doing little maintenance jobs - like the pool.My daughter Gena is a Natural Medicine student. She usually ends up being " Best Mates " with the pets. We all love animals & miss having our own pets.I do hope that you will get in touch soon so we can see if we can mind your precious pets for awhile.
