Professional, Respectful and Responsible House/Pet Sitter!Single, 35 year old female. Non-smoker, social drinker (very rare) and vegetarian. Having experience in UK, NSW, WA and now SA and Victoria, with a variety of animals including domestic cats, dogs, birds, fish, horses and a pony, I offer you and your pets with the care-free companionship they require during your time away. Being both an animal lover and home-body, I dedicate my time to offering all furkids as close to a usual home life that each are accustomed, whilst ensuring any other needs around your home and your property are met. I can provide references with regard to previous sits in NSW, Vic, SA, WA and the UK, prior to discussing or meeting in order to assist with your decision making. I have testimonials uploaded directly to my profile. Recent sits since returning to NSW have resulted in a great deal of call-backs and I am now booked until the middle of 2017; availability is maintained as best as possible on my profiles but please run your dates past me and I'll ensure I get back to confirm if I can accommodate. I have offers for repeats in late 2017 and early 2018 at this stage but nothing is confirmed due to my own preferences. As you may notice from my pictures, I do come with my own little dog and this has not been a problem in securing sits along the way. I can provide more images and some videos of Sammy with other animals to help reassure you but references speak for themselves about how Sam behaves in other peoples homes and how I will maintain and leave your property (generally the cleanliness is greatly appreciated which is a rewarding part of my role when owners return after a busy work trip or rested holiday).Sam and I have helped on a 100 acre property in SA with horses, that was 30 mins away from a local town, in a small rural town in Victoria with inside cats and outside dogs, that was approx. 90 mins to local shopping options, as well as being central in Sydney with no animals, and the perks of everything being very accessible. I have also looked after a menagerie of animals on a farm property in the UK prior to moving over to Australia in 2008. All these sits identify the variety of homes, gardens and animals I have successfully managed whilst working office hours OR from home and/or studying in the past. I can provide a comprehensive list of the diverse sits I have had most recently both traveling across Australia or around NSW but now only accepting Sydney/surrounding.I commence part-time work, based in Hurstville, in the beginning of June 2017 and have just re-joined this website after altering my plans for 2017 and gone about organising storage near my workplace in order to avoid carting too much of my belongings around with me now. I am open to paid work in addition to normal duties; I would consider caretaking and sitting at holiday homes/parks with cleaning or meeting/greeting involved for example and in a recent sit I did paid cleaning in the owners holiday let but, for general home/animal care, I do not request payment only accommodation and utilities. We look forward to hearing from you!Nicola & Sammy
I am a recent skilled migrant from Russia with permanent residency status, and am looking to house sit until I am joined by my wife and our cat in September. The cat has to undergo a long process before he too will migrate to Australia! It is of the utmost importance to me to create good relations with people in my new country and I think this makes me an excellent prospect as a house sitter.I have undergone exhaustive investigations into my good character and have passed all tests set by the government, including my language skills. I have a very strong sense of responsibility both in my work and personal life and have broad experience with pets. In particular we had fish, a ferret, a small dog (dachshund) and cats. I am also a good gardener, having spent two months with my grandmother every summer in my childhood learning to help her and was rewarded with my own plot.I am a self employed software engineer who works at home so I can provide the additional security of the house being constantly occupied. I am neat and living a very quiet life in these early days in my new country. I miss my cat very much and it gives me much pleasure to look after the pets and gardens of others. I can be relied upon completely to take your instructions and treat your home and animals as if they were my own.I am very happy to supply excellent house sitting references. Also please feel free to open my LinkedIn profile (https://linkedin.com/in/sergeylovchev-haron) and read my work references.Unfortunately, as I am doing an arts course, I need a lot of light in the morning. That is to say, I can sit for you only if your house is light-filled.I look forward to hearing from you.Kind regardsSergey
We are a 'senior' couple (non-smokers) and have recently sold our rural property in Tasmania, and intend to travel throughout Australia (and some overseas travel) during 2017. We will be using this time to make a decision where our next home will be, and looking forward to the opportunities housesitting will give us. We are referring to this time as our "GAP YEAR!" We are practical people and have mostly lived on small acreage properties in Tasmania. We've enjoyed the company of many pets over the years including 2 cats, 2 dogs, a pet sheep, 2 goats (so not 'pet'!) and chickens. We have had work experience related to housesitting placements when we worked on a remote Pilbara island, and in Coral Bay, WA. Doug was responsible for pool maintenance and general groundsman work, and I did housekeeping duties - and kitchen hand! It was a great experience living on a remote island, and fairly challenging coping with a Pilbara summer. We have also worked in a remote Aboriginal Community in the N.T. Doug was the Essential Services Operator and I looked after the Creche in the morning before changing hats to be the Centrelink Agent/general office admin. person in the afternoon. It was another wonderful opportunity and gave us an insight into the lives of Australia's indigenous people. To date we have had the pleasure of meeting a several home owners and their pets, and now have experience with managing big, bouncy dogs to the little feisty ones. We will be out of Australia from 13 May to 11 June, and as at April, have accepted bookings up til the end of October. EDIT:DUE TO CANCELLATION WE ARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM 21 AUGUST TO 21 SEPTEMBER.We are an easily adaptable couple and adjust quickly to new living situations. We prefer acreage properties, but equally enjoy the 'buzz' of big city living, and the convenience of suburban locations, and small rural towns. We fully appreciate that making the decision to have people you don't know come to your home and care for your pets, garden and home may be a difficult one. We would like to assure you we would take the time to listen to what is required for your 'loved ones' to remain happy in their home, and would promise to care and respect your property as if it was our own. We are honest and reliable people! Most recently we had police checks done, which is a requirement for people working for the Australian Electoral Commission in OIC roles at State and Federal Elections, and this we have done on many occasions. We are in the process of obtaining our own police checks. Also police checks were done when working in the N.T. and when I did volunteer work for Vinnies (Airlie Beach) and The Red Cross (South Perth). Our interests are travel, music (member of a Community Band in TAS) quilting, gardening, walking and baking. I love to discover new speciality shops, delis, etc. We enjoy going to concerts, and would look forward to hearing concerts by the MSO, SSO, QSO and ASO for example if possible. Below are two references, contact details could be supplied once you have made contact with us, and as we receive new ones we will add them as well. Thanks for taking the time to read our profile, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.Therese and Doug Boote.

Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on email@example.com anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva
We love to meet new pets and visiting new places and have been enthusiastic house sitters for over six years - many repeat sits with the same owners. We are dedicated pet carers and gardeners, understanding that your pets, garden and house are very special. We would look after them with kind enthusiasm taking excellent care and paying attention to all the things required. We are both fit and well, are non-smokers and are very tidy and organised. We live in Victoria, love to travel and can do any duration of house sit whether in city or country. We are university graduates and take a keen interest in gardening, graphics, art, books, bird watching and walking. Chris is familiar with pumps, tanks and the workings of mowers etc as well as computers and has good handyman skills.Full references with contact numbers can be provided upon request but here are a few:Rod and Lining - Cherrybrook NSW Chris and Fiona looked after our house and cat for about two months at the end of 2016. They were excellent house sitters and I can warmly recommend their services. They took great care with our possessions and treated the house as their own. They showed initiative to maintain the house and the garden. They kept the house spotless and the garden has never looked better than after Chris had applied his "green fingers". Throughout our absence they regularly informed us about any issues and this helped us to have enjoyable and worry-free holidays. Chris and Fiona are very good with animals and they took great care of the cat, goldfish and all. We thank them for everything and would have no hesitation to trust them with our property and animals in the future.Bob and Joan: Mullumbimby NSWChris and Fiona have been house sitters for us on 7 occasions. We have a 3 bedroom house and a flat attached to the garage. Our property is 1 1/4 acres. At all times they treated the house as their own and cared for it and the yard as if that what the case. They are both honest, caring, genuine people. We would recommend them as house sitters.Fred and Monica: Northern NSWI would like to offer this reference for Chris and Fiona, as they looked after our house and cat on three occasions and we were very happy with the outcome. We can definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a house/pet sitter.Sara and Leo - Repton NSWChris and Fiona house-sat for us for eight weeks taking care of our pets (chickens, rabbit, cat and fish) and home. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else looking for thoughtful and responsible house-sitters.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are certainly respectful, house-proud sitters, with Tony being a dab hand at housework and gardening while Helen is something of an expert at quality control, and you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
Don and Kerry Carlill are a newly retired couple. We have sold our apartment in Sydney, and have recently bought land at Medowie, just north of Newcastle. Our new home will be built during 2017.We are very reliable, and will respect and keep your home in original or better order. We are looking for house sitting in NSW.We have owned our own home on Sydney's Northern Beaches at Collaroy, Bilgola and Dee Why.We have owned a dog (Fox Terrier) and cat, so are familiar with their needs of feeding, exercise and company.Presently house sitting in Hunter looking after chooks, budgies, parrots and a cat.We are non-smokers.We would be pleased to meet you before any arrangement is made.
My preferred housesits are in the Hills area, Blacktown area, Penrith area and Richmond area.I am a reliable, mature young lady. I am a non-smoker.I am a primary school teacher living with a noisy family so I use housesitting as an opportunity to have some space and quiet.I am also interested in buying a house in the future so I find housesitting a fantastic opportunity to get to know the neighbourhoods and functions of different houses.I enjoy animals, and live a very tidy, active lifestyle. I also work as a casual employee at a leisure centre.I am interested in ensuring people have peace of mind that their house and animals are looked after whilst they are away. I have multiple house sitting experiences over the last 5 years and am called upon regularly for future housesits by previous clients. My partner joins me for house sits. He is 24, currently working as Lifeguard Team Leader and is working towards a career in musical theatre. He was a part of the Mary Poppins production at Riverside Theatre in 2015 and continues to perform in amateur productions.
Mature married couple, home owners in Elwood Vic, non smokers. We love the company of animals and have lived with dogs for over 40 years. Gemalla (Schnauzer) and Katielina (Airedale) are our mature, friendly and very well trained mates and would like to travel/holiday with us although it's not a pre-requisite.We love all animals and believe that we would enjoy looking after your pets and care for them like our own. Being house proud we would look after your home with great care.We enjoy a healthy environment, are keen dog walkers along the beach, parks and bush areas and share an interest in gardening, healthy living, the outdoors and food and wine.
Two very quiet mature non smoking, non party, women who love classical music, and our beloved 11 year old Lab/staffy boy who is a quiet gentleman, and an inside dog, he travels with us now since we have stopped travelling overseas, we promised him we would never leave again. We have been house sitters over the years and locum managers for B&Bs, self catering cottages and small farms. We would now like to pet/house sit for other people. After lots of travelling during which we have had special people look after our beloved boy, we could enjoy our trips, we would now like to help others to enjoy their travels. Our beloved boy gets on with dogs, cats, chickens, sheep and horses and of course loves people. References can be supplied, and our police check is up to date Do you need us? We would be very pleased to help you enjoy your adventures.
(Sorry but we are fully booked for the rest of 2017) Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 61 and 62 who have lived and worked in the same area for 32 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 months to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas. We love animals and we always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we can accommodate our time to suit your needs. We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and we are looking forward to a visit to New Zealand in 2018. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions including your mobile number and email address so we can make contact and get to know each other prior to your trip. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we have found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Jo and Ross Tanner

Hi! We are a 55 and 62 year old honest, reliable couple and are both employed full time. I (Cathy) am a Senior Accounts Clerk in the NSW Public Service, and my partner (Fred) is a professional truck driver. I also have over fifteen years experience in Hotel/Motel and guesthouse management (3 1/2 to 4 1/2 star properties), both in New South Wales and Tasmania. This experience shows I am very capable of looking after someone else's property (and business), and I have references which reflect this. I also have experience in housesitting, having looked after a house and farm in southern Tasmania. This was a six week housesit, and involved looking after two dogs, a cat and a herd of Murray Gray cattle (most of which calved whilst I was there.)!We live in Sydney, New South Wales and are very keen to do some more housesitting. We love animals and as we have no pets of our own at present, love to care for other people's beloved pets We are very house proud, enjoy gardening and love animals (both domestic and farm) and would look after all these as if they were our own. We are very enthusiastic to recommence housesitting, and welcome any enquiries from interested homeowners. References available on request. Thanks and Regards Cathy and Fred.
We are Paul and Alexander - a young (30+) couple who have recently relocated from Norway to Australia. Paul is Australian, and grew up on the open plains of the Monaro in New South Wales. Alexander is Swedish (also a permanent resident of Australia) and grew up on a small hobby farm surrounded by dense forest in Värmland. Until recently, we were happily living and working in Oslo, Norway - not too far from Alex's family in Sweden. We decided to leave Scandinavia in order to be closer to Paul's family and friends and to travel around Australia. In July of 2016 we embarked on a camping trip, starting in Darwin and taking us through the Red Centre and all the way down to Hobart, via South Australia and Victoria. We have seen some amazing places and our trip and look forward to seeing more of Australia in the coming year. We have our own transport.Paul practised as a Landscape Architect for 3 years in Sydney before moving to Oslo 6 years ago. Paul has a Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and a Masters' degree in Landscape Architecture from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Prior to commencing his full-time professional career, Paul was employed as a Horticultural Labourer at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney and at The Mosman Gardener (a nursery on Sydney's lower north shore). These positions involved regular maintenance and one-off improvement works at properties in suburbs such as Kirribilli, Kurraba Point, Cremorne, Mosman, Clifton Gardens, Seaforth and Balgowlah Heights, in addition to the Lower Garden and Government House at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Paul has, therefore, extensive practical experience maintaining and improving manicured gardens and large publicly accessible grounds. This underpins his 10 years of professional design experience dealing with public and private clients and various stakeholders. Your garden will be in good hands! Alexander is GREAT with dogs, having grown up with several show dogs trained by his mother on their property in Sweden. He is quick to establish rapport and assert authority as appropriate. And, both of us have grown up with cats, so we know they can be both kind and cunning. We are also able to perform extra duties & labour for those small home improvement projects that you’ve been wanting to get done for years, such installing shelving, re-painting the hall, cleaning and oiling of timber decks, intensive weeding, planting a new garden bed, composting, demolition of light structures (a chook shed, for example) and garden beds, light tree pruning, garden edging and much more. Talk to us if you have a project around the house that you’d like done while you are away! We are avid users of AirBnB and have enjoyed staying in private dwellings across Europe, Iceland, North America and Australia. There are 19 reviews of our stays available on Paul's AirBnB profile. These can be collated and made available upon request. A copy of our most recent tenant's reference can also be made available upon request. Non-smokers.

Hello My husband and I are a married retired couple that have had a lot of experience housesitting in Canberra and would look after your home as we look after our own and believe that it is very important to leave someones home clean and tidy as we found it. We both love animals and have a dog and cat of our own.If possible we would bring a little tiny Foxy with us if possible if that is a problem We are both non smokers. The reason we wish to housesit in Canberra is that my mother is living in Canberra in a Nursing Home at Weston and we would like to spend more time with her as she is getting elderly. We are available to housesit from early December
I am a single female with no children or pets.I am a non-smoker smoker and I rarely drink.I work mostly nights, so early morning walks if needed are no problem at all.
David and I have been house sitting for 2 years now and truly love this lifestyle. We have been fortunate enough to be continually on the move over this time and have returned to our first house sit a second time. David and I were original Sydney dwellers for 30 odd years and have always owned our own homes up until 2000. We had a hobby farm in Tasmania for 15 years, with farm animals including sheep, goats, chickens a horse, dogs and cats etc. We are familiar with living with tank water/ water pumps, wood heaters, septic systems and basic requirements for rural living. Leaving Tasmania in 2000 we rented in Sydney for a couple of years then moved to the Central Tablelands, NSW for 11 years where we rented a cabin on a 90 acre goat farm. During that time I did volunteer work on a regular basis for 8 years which involved 6 month periods away from home at a time staying with different families every week, so I am very accustomed to living in other peoples' homes. David worked as a full time carpenter in the local area accompanying me regularly on various trips. After leaving the central tablelands we both volunteered on a 7 acre retreat centre in Victoria for 7 months maintaining the property and looking after 3 acres of garden. We have been on the South Coast, NSW for almost 6 months now. I have a background in admin/bookkeeping and David is a carpenter. We are responsible and mature adults and have experienced many different lifestyles including living in Asia and Tibet. We enjoy the experience of new lifestyles and locations and feel that house sitting would be a great opportunity for us to do what we love and benefit the home owner do what they wish to do. At the moment we are on our 8th house sit and we have been invited back to our first house sit for another 3 months. Ideally we would like long term sits of 3-12 months or more preferably NSW and South East Queensland. Our interests include travelling, walking/hiking and water sports. We are both fit and healthy, don't drink or smoke and enjoy the outdoors. We feel that we are able to fit into a city or rural environment as we have lived in both and would certainly care for your home, garden and pets as if our own. We are more than happy to discuss any house sitting jobs, answer questions, provide references, police checks, photos etc and anything else you would like so as to feel comfortable and secure with the house sitter you have chosen. With kind regardsSusan and David Kirkwood
Hi, I am a reliable and experienced choice for house sitting. I'm currently looking for a new abode and don't want to rush into anything so I'm house sitting while I look. I have looked after 2 cats, a few dogs and some fish for friends when they've been away. I am also a clean and respectful person who has always maintained the garden, collected mail and kept the house clean. I also always make sure that the owners return to a spotless and tidy house. Please let me know if you have any questions. Regards, Larissa.

We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus! We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. Over the years we have also had extensive experience in house & garden maintenance having renovated our own properties & also as sitters, we have cared for a number of different types of homes & properties ranging from large farms through to smaller homes & units. We do understand that everyone's house & pets are different & we seriously take this on board & listen to each individuals requests & we will follow through with meeting your specific requirements while we stay & promise to keep you updated while you are away. The opportunity to become your house sitter would be a great privilege & something we would not take for granted, as we both understand it is a necessity to respect your house & property & keep it well maintained while in residence. We are both non smokers, healthy & happy people & look forward to hearing from you.If required we can provide further reputable references & recommendation contacts.Hope to hear from you !Susie & Gary
