Hello, I am a single, non smoking health professional with experience in caring for homes and much loved pets. I am very conscious of the need of keeping homes and pets safe and secure, and am aware of the trust that home owners place in house-carers.

As mentioned I have house sat for previous home owners and cared for all manner of dogs, cats, fish....and would be happy to provide references. I am a non smoker, lead a quiet life, am responsible and accountable. I would be happy to care for your home.

Hello. I am a retired senior federal public servant, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on eevahelena@yahoo.com.au anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva

Catherine & Wayne

  • NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC

We are retired, caring and experienced sitters. We are quiet, non-smokers, reliable, trustworthy, very clean and tidy. We have references and national police clearances.
We love tranquility (out of the way acreage sitting positions), views (from suburban blocks as well) or proximity to beach or lake. We will definitely consider other locations as well.
We have our own very neat and well cared home north of Brisbane. We have owned and lovingly cared for various types of animals. We pride ourselves in looking after your house and fur babies as if they were our own! We are also keen gardeners and have looked after pools and acreage.
We have done a lot of home renovating. As such, we are very handy with tools and equipment and would be able to tackle most urgent repairs or ongoing maintenance required in your home or on acreage.
In her early twenties, Catherine worked as a housekeeper, before becoming a front office and housekeeping manager in 4 & 5 star hotels. As such, you can be guaranteed that your house will be left clean when you return.
Before retiring, we both worked for the public service in professional high clearance positions for 20 or so years. We travelled overseas extensively and would now like to primarily concentrate on seeing other parts of our beautiful country. We love discovering new surroundings and living as one of the locals. So, being able to do this, whilst caring for your home and pets as if they were our own, is the perfect solution!
Thank you for considering us.
Catherine and Wayne

We are a 'senior' couple (non-smokers) and have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland area after having sold our rural property in Tasmania late last year.

In 2017 we became "professional house sitters" and enjoyed the experience very much. However we made the decision to become home owners again late 2017, but this does not mean we have "retired" and will always consider any suitable situations.

We would particularly be interested in discussing our suitability for your needs if you live in the Sydney Northern/Eastern suburbs, Melbourne City suburbs or far North Queensland.

We are practical people and have mostly lived on small acreage properties in Tasmania. We've enjoyed the company of many pets over the years including 2 cats, 2 dogs, a pet sheep, 2 goats (so not 'pet'!) and chickens.

We have had work experience related to housesitting placements when we worked on a remote Pilbara island, and in Coral Bay, WA. Doug was responsible for pool maintenance and general groundsman work, and I did housekeeping duties - and kitchen hand! It was a great experience living on a remote island, and fairly challenging coping with a Pilbara summer. We have also worked in a remote Aboriginal Community in the N.T. Doug was the Essential Services Operator and I looked after the Creche in the morning before changing hats to be the Centrelink Agent/general office admin. person in the afternoon. It was another wonderful opportunity and gave us an insight into the lives of Australia's indigenous people.

During 2017 (our 'gap year') we had the pleasure of meeting several home owners and their pets, and now have experience with managing big, bouncy dogs to the little feisty ones, chooks and cattle.
We can supply excellent references with one home owner declaring we would win a house sitter of the year award - if there was one!
We fully appreciate that making the decision to have people you don't know come to your home and care for your pets, garden and house may be a difficult one. We would like to assure you we would take the time to listen to what is required for your 'loved ones' to remain happy in their home, and would promise to care and respect your property as if it was our own. We are honest and reliable people!

Most recently we had police checks done, which is a requirement for people working for the Australian Electoral Commission in OIC roles at State and Federal Elections, and this we have done on many occasions. We are in the process of obtaining our own police checks. Also police checks were done when working in the N.T. and when I did volunteer work for Vinnies (Airlie Beach) and The Red Cross (South Perth).

Our interests are travel, music (member of a Community Band) quilting, gardening, walking and baking. I love to discover new speciality shops, delis, etc. We enjoy concerts and the theatre.

Below are two references, contact details could be supplied once you have made contact with us, and as we receive new ones we will add them as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read our profile, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Thérèse and Doug Boote.

We welcome the opportunity to look after your house and pets if required.

Hello wonderful house owners!

We are Matt & Yve :)

married professional couple in our early 30's, no children,
We prioritise fitness and health into our lifestyles, Our main activities are to cycle, swim, yoga, but most of all we love dog walks.

Our ideal weekend is relaxing and enjoying down time surrounded by fury and feathered friends.

Our main reason for house sitting is to conserve our funds and eventually be able to buy. We are fortunate enough to be able to be able stay with family and friends in between house sits who have maintainance and pets that we take care of from time to time.

We both love and have experience with all types of pets. My favorite piece of feedback that I've received so far is that I am a dog whisperer and can connect with most animals, even difficult ones, Yve has a gentle connection with cats and ferrets!

We are happy travelers and have much respect for the homes we have the pleasure of staying in and our surroundings.

Yve is Australian and I'm from London originally with a permanent visa for Australia, We are excited to explore anywhere our journey takes us! fortunately we work in flexiblie industries that allows us to travel and experience change.

Previously house sat for friends and family in England, Ireland and Australia and loved exploring the experience. :)
We can provide references as well as police clearance upon request.

clean, tidy and pro-active, We treat a home and it’s invitation like it was our own special space and We understand that every pets have different needs, every house has different requirements and instructions to discuss in person.

I am an and Educator and published children's Author since September 2015. (you can view my website at www.andrewgholt.com if interested) I was working full time as a teacher ( remote NT) these last 16 months till Easter which gave me time to completer the second book . Prior to that I lived on the Sunshine coast . From Easter 2019 I will return and run workshops for children on weekends and in the holidays whilst relief teaching. Reief teaching gives me more flexibility to work on the next book project, plus spend time with your animals too.
I am looking for a place to sit whilst writing some more and attending local markets on my way back up to the sunshine coast.
I have house sat before and as recent as September 2016 at Tanawha and October 2015 and then before in 2013 in Twin Waters.
I enjoy looking after animals and love spending time with them. I treat them as my own under the quidelines of each owner of course.
I am tidy neat and quiet. I enjoy the opportunity to practice yoga and became a qualified teacher in 2015 in Canada. I love bushwalking , reading about education and working on promoting the books I have published and writing draughts for future books. I am able to supply references if need so.
I have had a farm background as a child/teenager and have always had animals in my youth. My extensive travel as a teacher these last few years prevents me from having my own, so I would love the opportunity to look after yours.
I look forward to connecting if you feel I would be the right match. Any questions happy to chat.

Good Morning,

We are a non smoking and non drugging (but not boring) couple in our early 60.

After coming to Australia in the early 80's, we raised our family of 3 children.
Oldest daughter lives next door with her husband and the 3 kids and they own a number of restaurants in Brisbane.
Next daughter lives in Sydney and is a radiologist and our youngest, a son, lives in Melbourne and works for the Ombuds man as a mediator taking care of people who have disagreements with their insurance company.

We have had a successful printing business in Brisbane and after that bought a large run down house in Dunedin (New Zealand) and transformed that in to a luxury B&B.
Video's of Our property are still on youtube: https://youtu.be/YRIKRW871M8

After finishing the B&B we did some housesitting, first in Portbello near Dunedin as we wanted to stay near the property while we still owned it and rented out as apartments and later back in Australia while we made up our mind as what to do next.

Now we live on a 5 acre block with our oldest daughter and her family so we are going to do some housesitting just for fun and to see some more of Australia. We have travelled around Europe a lot but have seen painfully little of Australia!

We have experience with dogs and cats, obviously can tackle any emergencies that need taken care of with your house or animals.

Looking forward to hearing from you if you feel we could help you out and we would enjoy your property.

We are a couple in our early 60’s – recently retired who enthusiastically enjoy house sitting because it allows us to provide a valuable personalized service to home owners. Nothing gives us more pleasure than making home owners feel comfortable with being away from home, knowing their house is in good hands until the owner's return. We're very grateful to all our wonderful clients for the opportunities they have granted us through inviting us into their homes and lives. We receive trust, and in exchange, we provide loving care. We are non-smokers who are honest, reliable and dependable house sitters who will respect your property and personal things. Our background was in education. We have owned a home and are fully conscious of the care and security needed in keeping a house (including a pool) maintained. Also we have had pets that lived very long comfortable lives because we treated them as part of our family. We will care for your pets as if they were part of our own family. We have had experience in house/pet sitting before and we have references available on request.

Hi, we are a semi retired couple in our late fifties taking some time out to travel this beautiful country of ours. Completing the lap in our caravan we are looking for opportunities to stop, park up and explore and housesitting provides an ideal way to do so.
We are experienced housesitters, are very trustworthy and dependable, we are both non smokers and only light social drinkers.
As home owners we understand of the importance of looking after your house and we will treat your property and personal things as we would treat our own - with the utmost respect, keeping your property clean, tidy and secure, caring for it until your return home. We are also very happy to look after your lawn and garden whilst your house is in our care.
We are both animal lovers and will look after your pets in accordance with your directions and just like your house, we will treat your fur babies like they are our own. We have extensive experience with dogs, in particular greyhounds and up until starting our journey we were fostering rescues for GAP.
We are happy to send you updates and pics of your pets to show you they are happy, safe and well cared for.

Hi we are Brian & Emily!

We are currently on a journey through Australia travelling around in our 4x4. Brian and I have both grown up with dogs & cats and have great experience and memories looking after them and giving them lots of cuddles and love. After living in our car for a while we’d like somewhere to stay for a short time to enjoy the country and slow down a bit.

In New Zealand we house sat looking after cats but didn’t get the opportunity to experience it more due to having a short time there. So we’ve decided to peruse it in Australia with the help from you wonderful home owners!

We both come from the lovely country side of Dorset, England. Where we’ve worked and lived most of our lives.

Although being young we have a lots of life experience and maturity, becoming open minded, hard working and joyful. Both of us have experience running restaurants at home and in NZ, we helped looked after Labrador dogs, cows and sheep in south west WA and have worked for jef tomson in Vic.

When I was younger (Emily) I helped train my grandparents dog and also enjoyed horse riding with basic knowledge on how to take care of them! Now older I helped my parents train their puppy before coming to Oz, I miss being around my fury friends a lot and really want to have a short time companion again!

Brian grew up with 5 German Shepard’s and 2 cats, he really loves having dogs around and can take great care of them with all his experience.

Being outside lifestyle people we love long walks and nature, so would love to take your animals under our wing while you’re away to keep them happy, entertained but also safe.

Important info:
Non smokers
Can take care full time due to no work!
Enough money for all things
We absolutely adore animals
Happy to help out with other duties
Quiet and clean!

Gary: 51, Naturopath / Vanessa: 49, Writer / Alfred: 19 Student

Hi I am Gary of a family of three. We are very loving and family orientated. Over the decades, we have had many animals in our family, so far: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, a bird, chickens, fish and mice. We are still looking for a forever-home dog after our rescue-dog, Bella, died in 2017.

We believe in sustainability and alternative environmental options instead of industrial/chemical options - if we have to use a mainstream option we don't mind, but obviously environmental is our first choice. We love and accept all the people and culture that embodies our beautiful Earth. Our lives are simple and we aren't too radical when it comes to our social life. We do like meeting new people, however.

We have owned our home in the past and are conscious of maintenance and upkeep to ensure the house retains its value. We always leave the home in the way we found it. It would be an honour to care for your home, your pets and your garden. We take pride in our housekeeping.

We are new to House Sitting and are on our second assignment. Both assignments were personally offered to us. Please see our reference from the first assignment. Our current assignment is complete on 11 July – we can supply a reference when the homeowners return from being abroad. We are happy to discuss any issue regarding your needs. Please contact us.

My interests are fishing, gardening, spiritual matters, natural medicines, reading, walking, cooking and renovating. (Police clearance)

Vanessa's interests are arts and crafts, religion/mythology/spirituality/fairytales, Wisdom Crosswords and cryptograms, gardening, home preserves, board games/cards, bargain hunting, upcycling/recycling, music and family. (Police Clearance)

Alfred's interests are gaming, reading, creative writing, film, family movie night, entomology (insects) and neuroscience. He is on his Gap Year 2019.

Although we have no experience, we are willing to train regarding the care of farm animals and horses.

I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements. I do have references on this site, from previous happy pet owners. Hope we can assist each other ..

I currently live and work in Melbourne, living in a share household. I house sit as I also enjoy having time to myself. I also love caring for pets. Over the past years I have sat on many occasions with many homeowners asking me back to sit for them.

I will take really good care of your pets. I genuinely enjoy both cats and dogs. I Like taking dogs for walks and offering lots of affection. Same for cats too...except the walking.

Will also take good care of your property and leave it in an excellent condition.

I have excellent references. A police check. I don't smoke.
I am a friendly respectful guy who is very clean and tidy

Hi,my husband and I are retired teachers 63 and 64 who have lived and worked in the same area for 36 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide lots of references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes, we've caught the travel bug! We've had sits in Far North Queensland, NSW, Vic and Tassie. We would like a sit in WA. SA.or NT but you would need to give us plenty of notice so we can organise our travel details.
We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that we are retired, our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. We love animals and always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas and we need room for his fishing boat.
We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we will try to accommodate our time to suit your needs.
We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and escaping the cold Victorian winters. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions and of course contact details such as your mobile number and email address. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we've found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Luckily for us we have lots of repeat house sits which makes us very happy.

Active, healthy non smoking couple - social drinkers only - aged 68. Self employed prior to retiring with a background in family farming followed by tourism when we owned and ran holiday accommodation for ten years where cleanliness was of prime importance. Our business consisted of 10 cottages and 3 acres of grounds and garden which we maintained ourselves.

Wide interests including interior decorating, gardening, reading, music, natural history, bush walking, travel, and how life ticks in general! Since retiring, we are keen to see more of our great country and would love to come to your part of the world and would consider it a privilege to care for your home.

What we offer:
Lifelong experience with and love of all animals. We have always had a variety of pets as well as caring for the farm animals. Enjoy gardening and happy to care for your garden as well as pets. Experienced in general repairs and maintenance if the necessity arises.
Having always owned our own home (except for renting for 15 months following the sale of our business and whilst considering our options), we understand the importance of having someone trustworthy and reliable to care for and maintain and care for your home and pets. We have now been house sitting for over 6 years and looked after 50 homes and various animals.

Happy to provide references and Police clearance.

We have sold our lifestyle block, dream home and animals, preferring to travel and the good company of new friends. We are currently undecided about our final destination. We resigned from our jobs in November 2015 and have spent the last 3.5 years travelling the world and house sitting. We have enjoyed the hospitality of many kind, like minded people across the world, leaving wonderful memories and enjoyed finding our way in new lands and communities. We love life, people, animals, good wine, good coffee, good food and great company.

Our pet-caring experience is extensive and varied - dogs (large & small), cats, fish, ponies, sheep, quails, chickens etc.

If you have pets, be assured that we truly appreciate the security they feel with a familiar schedule/exercise/playtime routine and promise you that your customs, requirements and feeding schedule will be adhered to.

However, we know from experience, it's not just animals who can suffer from separation anxiety! To remedy this we send regular updates of your pets.

We are practical people and as experienced house sitters are used to dealing with a wide variety of issues - blown fuses, power outages, water issues, pools, security, etc.

In summary: -
- We offer honesty, reliability and commitment.
- We guarantee security-conscious, respectful care of your property.
- We assure you that your pets will have plenty of attention and loving company whilst you are away.

If you want to see what we've been up to for the last 2 years check out our blog www.virgoswilltravel.wordpress.com. There's no advertisements and we're not trying to sell anything. It's just a fun record of our travels and housesits.

We are always keen to Skype or Facetime to get to know you and answer any important questions.

We very much look forward to hearing from you.

Police checks and additional references are available on request.

After living in Melbourne’s beautiful bayside area for the last 22 years, we have recently sold our lovely home (happy to provide our address for you to review on realestate.com.au) We are extremely house proud (non-smokers), responsible and considerate of your privacy and would look after your house (garden/lawns and cleaning) and/or pets as if our own. We are looking to house sit and mind animals if needed whilst we decide on the next stage of our lives. Geoff is fully retired and I am joining him mid-late February 2019. We look forward to the freedom and independence that comes with this next stage and the experience of living in a variety of locations. We are without our own pets for the first time in many years as our daughter has moved to Tasmania with work and taken “our” much loved dogs which we have always shared with her. Through her work with the RSPCA and subsequent adoption of various dogs, we have had lengthy experience with highly spirited and challenging personalities and high-level needs including dogs with insulin dependent diabetes; dementia and currently a very severe epileptic. Geoff now travels to Hobart to mind this dog as needed! We totally respect and understand the importance of diets and medications being given when needed not when it suits us! We enjoy walking dogs, playing with them and giving them the amount of company you would like.
We hope this short e-introduction sparks an interest in approaching us regarding your needs and look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Margaret and Geoff Bell

I'm an experienced house sitter and have been house sitting full time now for over 18 months and prior to that at various short term house sits for a couple of years. I have experience with many dogs, small and large and up to 3 at a time, cats, chickens and birds. I enjoy walking the dogs and happy to walk them every day, if required, have also been known to have to walk a cat as well! I have also house sat where I have had to look after a pool and spa and watering of gardens. I also consider myself to be a clean freak and will return your home in the same condition that it was when you left and will look after it as though it was my own. In recent years I have been lucky to do an apartment sit in Hiroshima Japan, and a couple of house sits in NZ. I am a non-smoker and am single and have no pets. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
I have now just completed 6 months of house/dog sitting in Perth Western Australia and Darwin for 2 months and enjoyed every minute of it. I am now heading back south to the Sunshine Coast to where I usually live until the New Year. If you are looking for a house sitter while you have a break over Christmas/new year or school holidays I would love to look after your house and/or pets as though they were my own.

Kaz

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS

My name is Kaz, and I am an experienced house/pet sitter. I am 67 years old, non smoker, and love animals - particularly dogs. My last 4 legged companion (Tigger - a retired Greyhound) passed away several years ago. His passing (at the ripe old age of 14) meant I could take on new ventures.

I love new places, and looking after furry kids - fishy, feathered kids if necessary!!

Having worked in extremely remote communities over a 10 year period, I am organised and adaptable, and would look after your home and pets as I would my own. Up until late 2014, I owned my own home. I sold, in preparation to moving to country NSW in November of 2016. I have been permanently housesitting since 2010.

In March of 2014, I closed my landline crystal and mineral business, and moved to selling online. Which means that I work from home. I have my own internet connection, and chose Telstra as my provider, as their coverage is (generally!!) greater.

I am happy to provide details of referees. I have regular clients, and house/pet sit for some of them several times per year....

Some feedback from clients:

"It is always reassuring to know the dogs can be at home rather than in kennels We were able to enjoy planning the trip and then eventually being away with your great service. The dogs were well cared for and obviously enjoyed your presence very much so we are happy too!! No problem if you use these comments". Joe and Anne, Perth, WA

"We were very happy with Kaz. Fergie is a rather strong and dominant rescue dog with a few problems such as separation anxiety and we came back to find her actually better than when we left! So much so, that I have asked Kaz to meet up for a walk with the dog so I can learn from how she handles her!

For the first time ever, our cat had not pined and lost weight. The house was neat and tidy and Kaz had go above and beyond in every respect." Carol and Punch, Perth, WA.

We are an older couple. We own our own home and we recently lost our little dog who had been with us for 17.5 years. Our little dog was certainly "part of the family". We love all types of animals.
We are retired. Peter is a retired Senior Sergeant with the Victoria Police. He still works in the judicial system as a Justice of the Peace. I have a current Police Check. I was a teacher/school counselor.
We have had experience house sitting and we do know how we would like people to respect our property so naturally we would do the same for others.
We really love to travel and visit new places.
We enjoy walking and reading when we are on holidays.
Your house would be left just the way we found it on arrival.
We can provide references if required.

Hi, We are a couple 69 and 62. We have just retired and have already done a number of house sits on Magnetic island and in the Brisbane area. We have enjoyed it immensely, we now would like to get more into house sitting to see more of this wonderful country. Our house sitting preference at this time would be Queensland or Northern NSW, however we are looking at all states.
We have lived in our own house in Coffs Harbour for 40 years. We are a very stable couple who pride ourselves on looking after other peoples houses and animals the same as we look after our own.
Although we have not had any dogs or cats at home we do have quite a bit of experience with animals, looking after many different kinds during the house sitting jobs that we have previously done. Spencer has also worked at an animal park for 40 years.
We have bred birds as a hobby for the last 10 years.
We are sure your house and animals would be in good hands with us looking after it while you are away.
We are both non-smokers and enjoy the outdoors. References are available.
Please call us to discuss any needs you may have.

A caring house sitter

Judith: 67, Teacher/Lecturer

Hi I am a retired Educator, having taught students from Prep. to University level in NSW, Qld (city & remote) & the Torres Strait, NT remote area, Taiwan, China and Vanuatu. Therefore, I have current Police & Working with Children checks in a number of States. My upbringing, lifestyle & belief system have resulted in me being a: non- smoker, reliable, honest, hard working, friendly & viewing each new situation in life as an adventure waiting to be lived out, type of person. I regard others homes and property with great care as I am sure they would want me to treat them, their home, their pets etc. with respect and kindness.
Raised on a farm & enjoying most animals & gardening I find I can still do the work, but ... a little slower. In my spare time I like to swim, bike ride, organise my stamps & coins, take photographs & listen to music.
I have attended Universities/Colleges in NSW, Qld, Hong Kong, China & Taiwan, receiving degrees & certificates mainly in Education but with some in business & specific computer programmes. Much of my life has been teaching primary & high school students, teachers, Indigenous Australians & Chinese educators. Being able to speak Mandarin Chinese I have been enabled to teach in China as well as teach Mandarin in schools in Australia. As well as working in education, I have managed a small, business, worked with cattle, built fences & grown many vegetables.
From 2012 to 2018 I have lived in my Motorhome which has made working and house sitting in any state easy to attend. I began house sitting in 2016. At present (May - July 2018) I am farm sitting in Victoria. I will then move to Cairns (August - October 2018) to house sit, then Brisbane (November) These sits do not require me to use my Motorhome, it can be stored.
I enjoy longer house sits but am happy to do shorter ones of a few weeks or a month. City or country residences are fine.

A satisfied farm/home owner:
"Judith house and farm sat for me for approx 8 weeks, she looked after my goats and chooks, fed them twice a day, kept the yards clean to perfection, My home was kept in immaculate condition and Judith blended into the small community, she is a very friendly, warm women, If you want a house sitter who respects your pets and house as her own, I would highly recommend Judith and hope she will come again..."

We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
