Hi allByron and I are travelling this great country with our 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son. We are travelling in a large self contained caravan. We would like to help others who would like to do their own bit of exploring by looking properties, houses, gardens and fur babies. We are travelling anti clockwise and are about to head up the Qld coast but can travel inland if required. I spent 3.5 years working in a university veterinary hospital as an animal welfare worker/kennel hand while studying for my vet nursing qualification (completed just before we left). I worked with small and large animals and also had a horse that lived with our family on our 5 acres for 5 years (lovely old boy). I miss my fur babies :'(We are an active, non smoking couple who run a tight ship and like to keep things clean and organised. We teach our children respect for people and property and of course Manners! We have obtained police clearances in the past but can obtain new ones if required. Feel free to contact us with any questions.Looking forward to helping out soon!
We are a fully retired mature couple who live in the Warrnambool area. We have decided to see this fabulous country of ours by helping others care for their homes and pets while they holiday elsewhere. We are very house/garden- proud. Our garden is as immaculate as the interior. We would treat your house as our own and leave it as we found it. We are non- smokers. We have no pets of our own but love animals. Myles is a retired farmer, cleaner and transport company owner and I have grown up with cats, dogs, fish, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, stick insects, etc. Therefore, we would treat you precious pets with love, understanding and kindness.I have recently retired after teaching in the classroom for 40 years and from owning a tutoring business for 6 years. Up until now,we have been restricted to house-sitting during school holidays. We both have Police Checks and Working With Children Checks. We have completed 29 house-sits so far, so have happy owners who would be happy to vouch for us. We also have 2 other referees who are willing to chat to you regarding our honesty and integrity. We are presently booked in NSW until mid-January 2018 when we return to Vic for further sits..We contact owners on a daily basis by email, WhatsAp or Skype to put their minds at rest about the security and happiness of their pets.We would be honoured if you would consider us in looking after your home and treasured pets.Thanking you.Liz and Myles

We have completed many house-sits and we're delighted to have received great references for these. Our experience includes providing medicine to cats, and handling veterinary emergencies, as well as looking after dogs, chickens, birds and other small pets. We will follow any specific requirements you have, such as grooming your pets, keeping them indoors when required and any specific needs for your home. You can be sure that we'll look after your beloved furry friends and your home, as if they were our own.We have many five-star reviews for our house sitting on TrustedHousesitters - you can view our profile and reviews at the following site: https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/house-and-pet-sitters/australia/victoria/melbourne/l/293160/ - We also have detailed references and UK & Australian police-checks, so you can be assured of your home and your pet's safety and security by selecting us as your next house-sitters.

Hi there! My name is Nikki, I'm a 28 year old female from Scotland and I am studying my Masters in Landscape Architecture. I came to Melbourne in July 2017 to study and I will be staying in Australia until my final year of uni starts in Scotland in September 2018. My next semester starts in January but it is distance learning, so I will just be studying from home and don't have to attend uni which is why I thought about house-sitting. I've been renting an apartment in the CBD since I arrived but since I spend most of my time studying in the house anyway it would be nice to have a furry friend to keep me company and I would also get to see other parts of Melbourne. Unfortunately at this point in my life I can't have a pet of my own because of university and travelling but I love all kinds of animals and I'm especially experienced in taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fish and bearded dragons. The beautiful miniature pinscher you see in my pictures is called Benji, my friend saved him from a breeder who obviously didn't care about the wellbeing of her puppies and as a result he developed some behavioural problems and was aggressive and possessive. I offered to foster him for her until he was ready to be around other dogs and as you can see with a little training and a lot of love he turned into the perfect little gentleman and can't get enough of cuddling on the couch.I worked as an in-home carer for disabled adults whilst at home in Britain, therefor I have been extensively police checked and received specialist training and have certificates that confirm I am legally entrusted with the care of the most vulnerable people in society. I conducted personal care for severely disabled individuals and took them out for activities and assisted with general day to day living like shopping, preparing food, doing chores and I also maintained their homes for them so I am experienced with house cleaning. If you are interested in my references I will provide you with contact details for my previous employer who can verify my police check, that I worked there for over a year (the only reason I reluctantly left the job was because I was coming here to study) and that I am trustworthy and have the experience necessary to care for your house and pets. You also know that I couldn't have a criminal record or I would not have been granted a Visa or entry into Australia and I will provide you with photocopies of my drivers licence (full, manual and clean) and passport so you have my personal details.I'm more than happy to send you daily pictures or video calls so you can see that your pet is being treated with the love and attention they deserve. I don't drink or smoke, I am a clean and quiet lodger and will provide a reference from my current landlord (who lives in the property with me) to confirm this. I am happy to meet you prior to making any house sitting plans so you can decide if I'm a good fit. I am a warm, compassionate person just looking fsor a furry companion to keep me company during my studies, I'm looking for longer house sits preferably around a month so I can see different parts of Australia but not have to move around too often. I'm happy to sign a contract with agreed terms and will even provide you with a bond to ensure your peace of mind.I look forward to hearing from you!Nikki
Hi,I love animals, am considerate, quiet and very reliable. Love to roam and take pictures and feel at home in both urban and country environments. I have been running Airbnb properties for the past seven years, mostly as a 'superhost' so am clean and responsible around the house, and enjoy meeting new people from everywhere.House sitting is new to me but care of animals and gardens is not. I have experience with most animals including dogs, cats, horses and wilderness wildlife. I am hoping to find a long term house sit, but will consider short sits if I am in the area. Tess
Hello, I'm Jessica and I'm happy that you've visited my page. Some basic facts about me: I am a 30 year old, non-smoking, responsible person who is really excited about this idea of mutual exchange. Originally from the US, California, but currently exploring Australia. I am on the lookout for house sits that range from a week to a month plus. Currently based in Sydney, so ideally looking around the general area. I do not have a car, so being close to public transit is important to me. My lifestyle is pretty relaxed. I am in the process of launching a Virtual Assistant career, so I am at home doing things on the computer a lot. Of course its not all work and as much as I can I get out to enjoy all that Sydney has to offer. I am a clean person. You can be assured that I will be respectful of your space and keep your home clean. What makes me a standout sitter? As I mentioned I am very responsible. Having previous experience both house and pet sitting, I understand the importance of maintaining routines for your furry loved ones while you're away. I do not mind tending to other house matters as well during the stay such as watering plants, collecting mail and making sure the house is kept tidy. Of course, if there is anything else you would need done while you're away, I am flexible to help elsewhere where I can. I also am happy to stay in as much or little contact as you're comfortable with. Want photo updates daily - no problem! Every pet/home owner is different but for me, it's important that you feel comfortable and confident during our agreed upon stay. I am happy to speak via Skype, Google voice or whatsapp, before/during/after the house sit. Outside of my love of animals and travel I have worked at a bank, taught English in Spain at elementary schools & summer camps and most currently pursing my passion to work with people in the hotel industry being the face of the hotel in reception. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
We are a happy, fit couple who are currently travelling around Australia and are looking to house sit over the Christmas / new year period in Sydney as we are coming to visit our daughters for Christmas. We have just finished working and house sitting on a cattle property in Croydon Far North Queensland which has been a truly incredible experience. We were feeding cattle, mending fences, driving bobcats and looking after the farm dogs.Prior to travelling we were living in Wahroonga and I had been working at Sirocco in Willoughby.Shaun has been in the building industry and is very skilful in all aspects of handiwork. We have had dogs and chooks and love all animals. This year we have been working on Bedarra Island as caretakers/managers and are looking forward to visiting our 3 daughters in Sydney over the Xmas new year period
Hi!We're 2 young students who house sit to have independence without having to scrape by with rent whilst studying. We are quiet and sensible students who both adore animals and are quite active. We are happy with both short and long term sits, and ANY kind of animal (seriously- between us we've had dogs, cats, fish, chickens, galahs, ferrets, frogs, guinea pigs, plus Josh has farming family and is experienced with farm animals). Feel free to message through any questions :)
I am a non-smoking, part-time student/public servant who enjoys a mindful, healthy lifestyle. I love all animals and enjoy pats and walks with any furry friend I might have the pleasure to meet. I only work 2-3 days a week and spend the rest of my time studying from home, so they would be kept company in that regard too. As well as an alternative to renting, I find it very helpful for getting assignments and writing done, something about the unfamiliar surroundings inspire me. Police check and References available on request :)
We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus! We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. Over the years we have also had extensive experience in house & garden maintenance having renovated our own properties & also as sitters, we have cared for a number of different types of homes & properties ranging from large farms through to smaller homes & units. We do understand that everyone's house & pets are different & we seriously take this on board & listen to each individuals requests & we will follow through with meeting your specific requirements while we stay & promise to keep you updated while you are away. The opportunity to become your house sitter would be a great privilege & something we would not take for granted, as we both understand it is a necessity to respect your house & property & keep it well maintained while in residence. We are both non smokers, healthy & happy people & look forward to hearing from you.If required we can provide further reputable references & recommendation contacts.Hope to hear from you !Susie & Gary
We are looking for pet/ house sits in Queensland in July and early August 2018. We are booked May/June and Late August /September 2018. We love what we do!Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 61 and 62 who have lived and worked in the same area for 32 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that we are retired, our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. We love animals and always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas and he takes his small boat. We love to travel and see new places and while we get free accommodation and the use of your house as a base for our day trips, you get free pet sitting and the care of your home. We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we can accommodate our time to suit your needs. We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and escaping the cold Victorian winters. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions including your mobile number and email address so we can make contact and get to know each other prior to your trip. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we have found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Luckily for us we have repeat house sits which makes us very happy.Jo and Ross Tanner
We're two young and fit retirees who are travelling around Australia on a permanent basis in our little caravan. We're planning to be mostly out bush because we enjoy bird watching, but will sometimes be coming into towns and cities and would love to look after a home for a while. We've rented our house out, so we know how important it is to have someone you can trust to look after your home! Gardening is something we enjoy, so caring for one would be fine. For many years we owned two very spoiled cats and although we have never owned a dog we'd be happy to look after a small one. We've house sat a small dog, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and chooks. Birds, pet mice, gerbils, small reptiles etc. are all ok. We wouldn't be suitable for large dogs or horses. We can supply references from housesits we've done previously through happy housesitters if required. We're currently looking for a house sit northern NSW or SW QLD for Nov-Dec 2017 (not Christmas-New Year) We know this is a long way off but we're planning ahead!
We are an older couple. We own our own home and we recently lost our little dog who had been with us for 17.5 years. Our little dog was certainly "part of the family". We love all types of animals. We are retired. Peter is a retired Senior Sergeant with the Victoria Police. He still works in the judicial system as a Justice of the Peace. I have a current Police Check. I was a teacher/school counselor. We have had experience house sitting and we do know how we would like people to respect our property so naturally we would do the same for others. We really love to travel and visit new places. We enjoy walking and reading when we are on holidays.Your house would be left just the way we found it on arrival. We can provide references if required.
We are a recently retired, non-smoking, clean living couple who enjoy all aspects of home renovation including routine maintenance and gardening. We have renovated and sold homes our entire married life. We now have time and wish to do more travel within Australia and, whilst new to house sitting, can see that this is a 'win-win' situation ie the home owner has their property and pets cared for and we get to see a new area relatively cheaply. Over the years we have had our own cats, dogs and poultry. We now look after our son's English Springer Spaniel when he and his family are away. We also have Police Clearances available - necessary for our previous work.We look forward to starting this new and exciting period in our lives.
*Executive caring travelling Mum & son who tends to pools, pets & plants*Hi, I am a mature fifty-six-year-old now single Christian Mum. I've sold my executive home with large garden and pool in Flagstaff Hill (Adelaide) to travel the world with my twelve-year-old son. Both of us are fastidious, clean and neat. I am completely trustworthy and can supply many house-sitting references and have a Police clearance certificate. We leave behind our dog and have had to give away our bird, but we are both kinds of pets. I also used to own a turtle.I am also a qualified landscape gardener, so I can tend to any plants. I have cared for my own in-ground salt chlorinated solar heated pool for five years, so am happy to do that if you need also. We have just returned to base ourselves in Adelaide but to continue to travel and housesit. You can leave your property in my hands knowing you will come back refreshed with it all in good order. We are travelling around Australia with our 2 kids who are 11 and 12. We would love the opportunity to mind someone's home. We are leaving at the end of July and will be gone a year starting with going through cooper pedy, Alice springs and Darwin and around WA and back in Adelaide around Christmas and then heading off to Tasmania and up the east coast. Our kids are respectful and would also treat your home well. Looking forward to opportunities!! We are clean, tidy and we don't smoke or drink alcohol. We live a clean and healthy lifestyle and love animals.
Hi! There's no question about it: house sitting is a job that needs to be taken seriously. We are being asked to take care of your worldly possessions and beloved fur babies. Our little family can give your family all the time and freedom you need to go away and have peace of mind without having to worry about your home and pets. While you're holidaying we will take care of everything as lovingly and carefully as you do.Maybe having a small family in your home never really crossed your mind? Many home owners have families themselves, and have no problem handing over the keys to other respectful family house sitters. So we would like you to see it as a bonus! We are a healthy, clean, non-smoking family who will look after your home and pets as you would expect. We have lived in the suburbs and on acreage and can happily manage different size properties (including those with pools) and all sizes and varieties in pets. We are self-employed and home educate. So what does that mean for you? More time, flexibility and most importantly, the ability to be at home during the day, keeping your home even more secure and giving your pets lots of love and attention day and night while you're away. Having owned pets in the past we understand the responsibility and most importantly the love that all animals deserve!Desley is a Justice of The Peace (Qualified), a Hairdresser and Beauty Therapist (Self Employed) and also holds a current Working with Children (Blue) Card.Jason is a Self Employed Independent Contractor and also holds a current Working with Children (Blue) Card.Joel is 10 and just loves life! Being able to experiment with all things he loves on his home schooling journey is such a great experience for him and all the pets we look after just adore having him around all the time.We have strong, stable, family and moral values and this will show when you meet us.We are comfortable giving your pet medication or dealing with a special needs pet and also love being able to take your pet on outings with us (if you allow). We have a strong history of regular on going house sitting with many repeat bookings and believe that reflects the trust that people have in us.References are available and we are happy to talk over the phone, facetime, skype, and/or meet up for a chat to see how you feel about inviting us to look after your pets and home, taking the responsibility seriously. *(You may notice that our references sometimes refer to “boys”. Our eldest, Jarrod 17yrs, is employed full time as a 2nd Year Apprentice Boilermaker and has become independent (yay!) and is no longer living with us).
Hi there! We are an Aussie female couple. Nat is an ex-Australian Federal Police Agent and Jodie an Ex-Resort & Accommodation Manager. Now aged in our late 40's we have been happily moving around the world as FULL-TIME PET & HOUSE SITTERS since early 2013.Our references from over 40 home owners who we have loved sitting for, sometimes many times over during the last 5 years, are attached to this profile as individual documents from each year (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017). We can also provide phone and contact details for verbal references if you prefer.A bit about us...Natalie enjoyed a 13 year career in the Australian Federal Police, and Jodie has over 20 years experience in hotel and resort management, tourism and hospitality throughout Australia. We bring this knowledge, care and responsibility to your home. To say we love house sitting is an understatement. As natural teachers, we have spent the last few years helping others get started as confident and caring house sitters through our online course, the 'House Sitting Academy' and our own private network of quality sitters. This work does involve us needing reliable internet on any house sit we take on. Since the majority of our time is spent working online, we would spend most of our days and nights at home with your pet/s. For more information about us, including all our references and projects, please visit our personal site at www(dot)NatnJodie(dot)com. We always love meeting with home owners through Skype video so we can make a personal connection with you and your pets, and feel into whether we are the perfect match for each other. WHAT WE BRING TO YOU... OUR BACKGROUNDS - We are a vibrant & active couple who love animals & nature, connection and learning about new cultures and people. We bring our vitality to your pets and property, to spend quality time with your animals each day, giving them the same love & care we have given to our own pets since we were young, and to care for your property. Nat's 13 year career in the Australian Federal Police (certificate available on request) was spent largely in VIP Protection looking after the Australian Prime Minister, overseas Heads of Government, and various royal families, and a further 6 months in East Timor serving with the United Nations. Jodie has over 20 years tourism and hospitality experience, managing and maintaining various sized properties and Resorts all over Australia. We have both grown up with many pets in our lives since very young (including a many varieties of dogs, birds, Diamond Pythons, and tropical & freshwater fish) so having pets and looking after them is second nature to us; In fact it is strange not to have pets in our lives. We now always choose house sits with pets where we can. OUR PREVIOUS HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCE -Between us we have done over 40 house & pet sits over many years in various countries, which has taken us from extremely remote rural properties, to snow environments, tropical jungles, the inner city, suburban and smaller village life. Along our journey we have also had to deal with extremes of climates and environments, from humid rainy season jungles, hurricane season in the Caribbean, sub-zero snow conditions in a number of Canadian & US winters, to living at altitude (3000+ meters), and are equally comfortable in all. We have also been involved in the professional training of several dogs we have minded.Due to Jodie's background, some of our assignments have included the management of in-house staff, B&B's and holiday Gites (self contained) for which we have been paid. Outside of such assignments however, we DO NOT charge for our house sitting, instead being massive advocates of the fair exchange aspect of house sitting and the ‘Sharing Economy’. OUR OWN PROPERTY EXPERIENCE -Over the years we have both owned our own homes as well as multiple investment properties between us. As such we are well used to:• Caring for and maintaining property• Chlorine and salt water pools• Jacuzzis• Indoor and outdoor plants, gardens, lawns, greenhouses and vegetable gardens• The responsibility for the general running of a household We both appreciate the importance and value of owning a home, possessions and pets. YOUR PRIVACY & SECURITY –With our Federal Police & Resort Management backgrounds, security & privacy is of utmost importance for us, and we fully appreciate it is for you as a home owner providing your home & possessions for house sitting. You can be completely assured your home and assets will be completely secure and maintained with us. Natalie held an Australian ‘Top Secret’ security clearance for many years in her Federal Police VIP Protection work.WHY DO WE LOVE HOUSE SITTING? Simply put, this is our life & our livelihood! Our internet based education business has enabled us to break free of any fixed location for work & allowed us to live a full-time 'digital nomadic' lifestyle since early 2013... a lifelong dream for both of us! 97% of our time has been spent house sitting since we left our previous fixed location of Dubai in 2013, and we have absolutely loved every minute of it. To us, experiencing back-to-back house sits with absolute ease since we started really shows us that we living our heartfelt purpose... and it certainly feels that way. We envisage living this lifestyle for many years to come, especially since sharing house sitting experiences and tips to inspire others to experience it, has now become the focal point of our business itself.House sitting is an incredible lifestyle for us, combining so many things we love. We absolutely adore the company of animals to break up our work life and enrich our experience, and enjoy constantly experiencing different locations & people of the world.Ultimately, we find ourselves at this stage of our lives really desiring to not just travel, but live for periods in different locations around the world for our own enriching experiences and to also facilitate our business ventures.Thankyou for taking the time to read our profile. We really look forward to connecting with you & seeing if we are the perfect match for each other. KindlyNat & Jodie
Hi there! I'm a single, non-smoking 25 year old from Austin, Texas. I have been away from home for over a year now and have been truly enjoying seeing new parts of the world. I've been working in Tasmania for the past several months and am looking to travel through the mainland for my remaining working holiday. I house sat a bit in Melbourne at the beginning of my time in Australia, and found it to be a wonderful way to save money on accomodation, get a dose of cute animal cuddling, and help others. I have a college degree and a few years of professional work experience. I have a great love of animals and promise to take excellent care of your pets! I'm very tidy and will make sure your space is maintained and spotless when you get back. Happy to provide references upon request!
COPULE: LONG-TERM TRAVELLERS AND ANIMAL LOVERSHello there! We are a couple of overland travellers who have been roaming the world for more than a decade. We are both animal lovers and meet stray furbabies constantly on our travels. Our biggest joy is feeding them and giving them cuddles and a warm place to sleep for the night...in our tent!Chris and I are both travel writers and published authors and love nothing more than finding a peaceful retreat during our nomadic wanderings, where we can work and enjoy some down time. When we do house-sit, we spend most of our time at home, which makes us ideal pet companions :)Both Chris and I have quite a healthy online presence so just ask and we'll happily provide evidence of who we are, and what we do.WHY WE LOVE TO DO THISAfter more than 12 years on the road, I am missing the feeling of having a 'home', and the biggest setback of a travelling life is that we can't have pets of our own. I think this may just be the ideal solution.WHAT WE OFFER TO YOUWe are a responsible and quiet couple who loves to stay home and relish comforts when we are housesitting. Considering we spend most of our life camping and on the road, we really do see house and petsitting as the privilege it is. PETS: I was given my first dog for my 3rd birthday (when I staged a hunger strike to get an Old English Sheepdog!) and lived with pets all my life, right up until I started travelling in 2004. I am well versed in all things crazy-dog related, had 2 English Sheepdogs, 2 German Shepards and one nutty boxer, as well as 2 cats over the years. I also rescued a boxer puppy in Chile, whom I brought back to Australia. My partner has likewise always lived with pets, as well as having particular experience with farm animals. Chris managed a horse farm in South Africa for 3 months and worked as a horse-riding guide.PROPERTIES: over the last 8 years of together-travel, we've managed campsites, built furniture and rewired electricity in entire properties. We've fixed motorbikes, cars and maintained boats. We're both handy-folks and love having projects around the house/garden/farm/shed/garage. It's a lovely distraction from our writing work.Combined, we speak English, German, Italian, Spanish and a smattering of French. And dog of course! I worked as a tour guide in three continents over the course of five years and have looked after hundreds of tourists on vacation. It's this invaluable experience which, I believe, makes me reliable, trustworthy and responsible. Our aim is to look after your home, and your furbabies, with the same passion we would have if they were ours.NB: Please note that we are experienced house-sitter through a different website, and have only just discovered this Australia-specific one. Our profile may be new, but our expertise is not. In the last 12months alone, we have housesat and looked after 4 cats, 1 cheeky pug and two adorable rescue dogs, all in Malaysia. Please also note that I am, originally, from Sydney.
Wendy and Brian are a recently retired couple who are driving the full circle in 2017. We attempted this several years ago but after two years in WA housesitting in the Bunbury area (several repeat housesits), in Mandurah, Denmark and in Perth we came home to Victoria for family commitments (wedding). We then went north to Queensland and spent twelve months in housesits in Warwick, Toowoomba and Mackay. In October 2016, we looked after a house in Bunbury WA (we flew over from Vic) where wecaught up with our favourite dog Zoe (we have looked after her numerous times) and two cats. It was great to get back into housesitting in WA again. In 2017 we completed the full lap via Broome Darwin and Mt Isa then south to home in Bendigo. Our plans for 2018 are to head north from Victoria after Easter and would love enquiries from anyone in Queensland who would like their loved pets and homes cared for during their absence. We will be in Queensland for May, June and July 2018.We now have a confirmed open housesit north of Port Douglas to fit in with any other sits we may be able to assist with.As we will be staying in cabins in caravan parks for our trip we have no need for special parking space for a van.We are an active, outdoor loving ,NS, houseproud couple who value and respect others' property and privacy. We enjoy gardening and can ensure you that your pets will be given the love and attention that they are used to. We can supply names of referees from our repeat housesits, can provide current police checks and we are prepared to pay a bond if required. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like further details, we will gladly return a call if your email contains a phone number.
Annette and I left Sydney 8 years ago and worked as volunteer Rangers in the N.T. and assistant teachers in an aboriginal school. Then we house-sat twice in Swan Hill and while Annette completed a Masters in Medical Science looked after 3 properties in Tasmania. We looked after 4 properties on Kangaroo Island minding a vineyard/farm (finch, dog, 73 cattle, 1 poddy-calf; we love animals) until March 2015. We then moved to Western Australia where we have cared for another 7 places, 6 of them with farm or domestic animals, taking us through until early-May 2018. Non-smokers, we are active, love the outdoors, bushwalk, jog, participate in flora & fauna surveys, swim but we also enjoy reading, theatre and cinema. We have police clearances and recent references, which we are only too happy to supply. The house that we still own in Sydney is rented out and, as owners, we have an awareness of the property situation from that perspective. We can guarantee that that any house, animal and/or grounds that we mind will be looked after with the utmost attention, respect and care. Thank you.
Hi, We are a couple 67 and 60. We have just retired and have already done a number of house sits on Magnetic island and in the Brisbane area. We have enjoyed it immensely, we now would like to get more into house sitting to see more of this wonderful country. Our house sitting preference at this time would be Queensland or Northern NSW, however we are looking at all states. We have lived in our own house in Coffs Harbour for 40 years. We are a very stable couple who pride ourselves on looking after other peoples houses and animals the same as we look after our own. Although we have not had any dogs or cats at home we do have quite a bit of experience with animals, looking after many different kinds during the house sitting jobs that we have previously done. Spencer has also worked at an animal park for 40 years. We have bred birds as a hobby for the last 10 years. We are sure your house and animals would be in good hands with us looking after it while you are away. We are both non-smokers and enjoy the outdoors. References are available. Please call us to discuss any needs you may have.

We are an active couple in our 60's who live on a purpose built property with our extended family. Grandchildren are wonderfull but its nice to get away every now & then for a change of scenery. We have 2 labradors & chooks on our property the care of which we share with the family. We have always had dogs in our lives as well as cats, horses, fish, chooks. Our favourite animals are dogs. We treat them as family. We walk our two Labs every day (for our own health as well as theirs) - We love to travel and in between saving for the next OS trip like to do short breaks to satisfy our need for change. We like reading, watching movies, good food and have a glass of wine at night only. Non smokers. Fastidious in the house although we do let our dogs inside at night for a cuddle. We housesat for 4 months whilst our new houses were being built & we have done 2 houseswops and 2 non recipricol guest hosting. In earlier years we hosted exchange students when our children were still at home.
Steve is a freelance nature photographer and I am a freelance nature & outdoor travel writer. We spend most of our time roaming Australia taking photos and writing articles, and from time to time we like to take a break to catch up on work and to spend time in one place caring for animals and/or tending to a home and garden. We are both animal-lovers, and the only drawback to our lifestyle is that we can't have pets. Steve was previously a primary and middle school teacher in a number of schools in the Melbourne area. I was a child-therapist many moons ago before becoming a full-time freelance writer. We are both originally from the United States but we are now proud Australia citizens (a process that included police background checks). We will care for your animals, and your home and garden, as if it were our own. Please visit our website at Natural Wanders for more information on our work and our background. You may also want to visit our Pet & House Sitting Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LindaStevePetSitting. -We are a non-smoking, vegetarian, married couple who will keep your home tidy and clean and your pets happy and safe. -We work from 'home', in this case your home, so we would not be leaving your animals for long periods during the day. -We would not invite others to your home, and aside from a glass of wine or a beer with dinner, we don't drink. -We have respect for the privacy and property of others: simply close the doors of (or advise us of) rooms you do not want us to go in and we won't!-Once we accept a housesit, we do not back out unless there is a dire emergency. Please email us if you have any questions. Thank you.*For your protection, we are email, phone & address certified, identity verified via document check, letters of recommendation. We had police checks when we went through the process of becoming Australian citizens.
