Hi there my name is brooke I am an 18 year old Australian female. I have been traveling around the Eastern side of Australia for the past 8 months or so and have had the opportunity to house sit near Manly recently. I really enjoyed this opportunity looking after two cats and the house itself, I am quite an adventurous person when it comes to going for walks or checking out the area I'm in but I'm not interested in nightlife type things so I can assure that your place will be looked after and someone will be there at night. I grew up on property and had lots of animals so I have always enjoyed the company of the little companions and look forward to having more opportunities like this.
I am a single, fit and healthy 63yr old retired Nurse and part time house cleaner. I am very house proud and would treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I am also an animal lover and lead a lifestyle that promotes this. I have previously volunteered in an animal rescue center caring for a wide variety of animals including, dogs, cats, birds, ducks and many others. I have also volunteered at a rescue center for abused and neglected horses. I enjoy a quite lifestyle and spending time at home which gives me plenty of time to keep your fur babies company. I also have a passion for gardening.I sold my own home to travel around Asia and am not ready to buy another property at this stage. I thought house sitting would be a wonderful alternative as I have house sat in the past and enjoyed it very much.I can provide references and a police check.Looking forward to hearing from you.

My children are grown and I am free to enjoy different places and people. I have always had animals and love nothing more than the unconditional love they bring to life. I am vegetarian, I neither smoke nor drink and I have practiced and taught yoga and meditation for the past 30 years. I look forward to the opportunity to house sit for you,Jan
We are a fit and healthy retired couple in our mid 70s living in Adelaide. We are interested in house sitting and caring for pets.We have references from past sitting.Prior to retiring we owned a farm and then a business. I have a police clearances for caring and volunteer-work. I like to keep a neat, tidy house and love craft.Col is a handyman and an ex- grader Both of us enjoy the outdoors and gardening.2017 we plan to travel around Australia beginning with WA. We have a 16 foot pop top caravan and enjoy travelling this wonderful country we live in. We are both non smokers.
Hello, I am a single, non smoking health professional with experience in caring for homes and much loved pets. I am very conscious of the need of keeping homes and pets safe and secure, and am aware of the trust that home owners place in house-carers. As mentioned I have house sat for previous home owners and cared for all manner of dogs, cats, fish....and would be happy to provide references. I am a non smoker, lead a quiet life, am responsible and accountable. I would be happy to care for your home.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
Hi, we are Claudia & Geoff, and we are a fit and energetic couple in our 60’s. We have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting people from all cultures and experiencing the traditions and foods of the many countries we have visited. We are home owners and appreciate the responsibility of looking after someone’s home and their much loved pets. We adore animals of all kinds and often dog sit our son’s miniature schnauzer “Beardsley” whom we affectionately call our grandson. We appreciate your consideration in viewing our application and your favourable response. We are able to provide references, police check certificate, finger print certificate on request.Regards Claudia & Geoff
We are a 'senior' couple (non-smokers) and have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland area after having sold our rural property in Tasmania late last year.In 2017 we became "professional house sitters" and enjoyed the experience very much. However we made the decision to become home owners again late 2017, but this does not mean we have "retired" and will always consider any suitable situations. We would particularly be interested in discussing our suitability for your needs if you live in the Sydney Northern/Eastern suburbs, Melbourne City suburbs or far North Queensland. We are practical people and have mostly lived on small acreage properties in Tasmania. We've enjoyed the company of many pets over the years including 2 cats, 2 dogs, a pet sheep, 2 goats (so not 'pet'!) and chickens. We have had work experience related to housesitting placements when we worked on a remote Pilbara island, and in Coral Bay, WA. Doug was responsible for pool maintenance and general groundsman work, and I did housekeeping duties - and kitchen hand! It was a great experience living on a remote island, and fairly challenging coping with a Pilbara summer. We have also worked in a remote Aboriginal Community in the N.T. Doug was the Essential Services Operator and I looked after the Creche in the morning before changing hats to be the Centrelink Agent/general office admin. person in the afternoon. It was another wonderful opportunity and gave us an insight into the lives of Australia's indigenous people. During 2017 (our 'gap year') we had the pleasure of meeting several home owners and their pets, and now have experience with managing big, bouncy dogs to the little feisty ones, chooks and cattle. We can supply excellent references with one home owner declaring we would win a house sitter of the year award - if there was one!We fully appreciate that making the decision to have people you don't know come to your home and care for your pets, garden and house may be a difficult one. We would like to assure you we would take the time to listen to what is required for your 'loved ones' to remain happy in their home, and would promise to care and respect your property as if it was our own. We are honest and reliable people! Most recently we had police checks done, which is a requirement for people working for the Australian Electoral Commission in OIC roles at State and Federal Elections, and this we have done on many occasions. We are in the process of obtaining our own police checks. Also police checks were done when working in the N.T. and when I did volunteer work for Vinnies (Airlie Beach) and The Red Cross (South Perth). Our interests are travel, music (member of a Community Band) quilting, gardening, walking and baking. I love to discover new speciality shops, delis, etc. We enjoy concerts and the theatre. Below are two references, contact details could be supplied once you have made contact with us, and as we receive new ones we will add them as well. Thanks for taking the time to read our profile, and we look forward to hearing from you.Thérèse and Doug Boote.
We are two retired guys who own a house in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and are renting it out for a year or so to drive around Australia. We would love to house and/or pet sit for other people on the way while they enjoy their time away. We have rented houses around NSW and Qld and have always treated them as if they were our own as is testament by the excellent references we have been given by the Property managers, and this is the way we would look after any properties that we are lucky enough to sit. We have had extensive experience with both domestic animals...cats, dogs, birds etc. after having owned all of these at some stage...one of which is shown in the pic I have uploaded...as well as farm animals whilst owning acreage in NSW and Qld.We are both extremely clean & tidy people, non smokers and like to ride push bikes, play tennis and go to sporting events like AFL, Rugby League, tennis etc.
Hi..! My name is Penelope /pene.I am responsible, mature, very tidy, and a non smoker .I love animals , gardening and walking. I will respect your home and pets as I would my own.I have owned 5 homes and pets in the past, so I understand they are precious.Over the past 3 yrs I have done house sitting through out Perth and have enjoyed them all .I have had many repeat requests.I have many great refs and also a police clearance on request. Penelope.
We are a professional couple located in Canberra and have previously completed a local house sit in between the sale of our house and the purchase of our new one. We have a seventeen year old daughter who loves school and enjoys part-time work. She is a mature young lady who loves animals of all shapes and sizes. We enjoy meeting and looking after new furry friends during house sits and our daughter currently does this in our home for Don't Fret Pet. We are clean and tidy non-smokers who respect other peoples property and privacy. Whilst we don't have Happy Housesitters references we are happy to forward both of our work histories which include over two decades service in the AFP and an executive HR management role with a not-for-profit.Our house sitting interest at the moment is for holiday breaks (either in or out of school holidays) as a family, or sometimes individually as I (Tony) don't work full time. Occasionally I am happy to get away for a break by myself. My wife encourages it;-)If you are after a small family who will take care of your pets and home as if they were their own then we would love to help.
Hi! I'm friendly, clean, honest, reliable, and I would be happy to look after your home and pets. I moved to Sydney several years ago to work in a not-for-profit renewable energy advocacy organisation as a community organiser. I loved my job, but it was exhausting, and so I'm taking a long-overdue lengthy break to recharge. So far I've spent this downtime helping people out by house-sitting in a number of places, while also keeping up several hobbies.I grew up with dogs, walking and feeding them every day, but I've also had experience living with and looking after other pets. I recently completed house-sits in Sale (VIC), Melbourne, Busselton (WA), the Blue Mountains, Glebe, Lane Cove, Waterloo, Epping, a second one in Sale (VIC), and now in Parramatta. Across all of these I've looked after dogs, cats, chickens, gardens, and, of course, the houses themselves. I have some references that I've attached to my profile.I'm usually an outgoing, active and outdoorsy person, though I'm fairly quiet when at home. I will happily spend my time looking after your house and pets, reading, practising my cello, going bushwalking and going out to spend some time with friends.I haven't yet applied for a police check, but I'm happy to if you need.I'm also happy to share with you anything else about me that you'd like to know, and I look forward to meeting you, your home, and your beloved pets.---TESTIMONIAL:(Copied across from Aussie Housesitters website. For my Happy Housesitters testimonials, see my 'References' section.)"Nick looked after our house and dog recently while we were away for 3 weeks. Our dog Radar is not the easiest of pets but Nick did a great job. He took great care of both house and dog and the house was very clean and tidy when we got back, complete with welcome message and chocolates to meet us on our return. We appreciated the fact that Nick kept in touch with us by email which made sure we knew all was well in our absence and which we definitely appreciated. I would definitely highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for a reliable and completely trustworthy person to housesit." -- Vicky, Lane Cove, NSW."Nick has proved reliable, punctual, courteous and clean. We left him with 2 pets, a self reliant cat and a demanding dog.+ house for 3 weeks. Nick kept us upto date with the two and we were able to relax while we felt all was under control. Nick comes highly recommended from both my wife and I." -- Bevin, Epping, NSW.
Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on email@example.com anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva
I am a happy, friendly, 60 year old semi-retired house-sitter who is a fit, non-smoking, mature female; honest, reliable, house and garden proud. I grew up on a farm thus have familiarity, experience, patience and love for animals and pets, having grown up caring for many various pets of my own.I have a passion for gardening and landscaping; I have the time to care for, walk and empathize with your pet/s missing their owner/s while keeping your home safe and as you left it. I have always owned my own homes and worked in responsible professional positions; married for 37 years to an electrician who works away six months of the year, with adult independent children living interstate pursuing professional careers.I will respect your home, garden and beloved pets with the care I show my own. I can supply a Police Check, Working with Children Check (pets are our children!), House Owners and character references when required.I am willing to listen carefully to your instructions, preferences & requirements. Thank-you, Dianne :)
My children have all flown the coop and after years of love my pets have all grown old and sadly for me, passed on. I have been house sitting FT since the end of 2016.I love gardening, pets and living an organic healthy lifestyle. Until I am ready to settle down again I would love to help you look after your home, garden and pets.I have just given up FT work and am moving to the Bribie area with the intention of helping to look after my elderly parents.Police check and references from previous sits are attached.Ask any questions you want, I am happy to answer :)
I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements.Hope we can assist each other .
We are a mature couple (68 and 72 year olds) non drinkers and non smokers. Fit and able to do garden and walk pet. We like to ride our bikes to explore whatever region we may visit. The idea is to head north each year to escape the southern winters.
Hello. I am a professional writer and senior administrator, an animal lover and experienced housesitter. As someone who owns their own (small) cottage - currently rented - I know what a big thing it is to entrust someone with your home. I enjoy getting to know new animals and places and hope to be able to help you with your house and pet sitting needs soon. Have a lovely day.
We are a mature non-smoking couple with a responsible outlook. Our three delightful children are now independent so we have an empty nest and itchy feet. We have rented out our own home and have rented others homes so we understand the need to look after someone's home. We are very trustworthy, clean, tidy and reliable and would treat you and your home with utmost respect. Whilst not yet retired ourselves we have a very mobile business (Ice Cream Van) and would love the opportunity to explore different regions whilst selling Ice Creams. Our family are animal lovers so over the years we have had a lot of experience looking after animals. Different animals we have had include: dogs (little spoilt inside dogs and larger outside dogs), cats, chooks, ducks, rabbits, turkeys and a turtle. Sadly, at present we have no animals. We like to keep some fitness and go to the gym so walking dogs would be a pleasure. We would welcome the opportunity to meet you so you can get to know us. Please don't hesitate to phone or email. References and referees available upon request.Warmest Regards,Michael and Di Chapman0403811840
Hello Home OwnersAs a writer of children's books and songs I am free to go anywhere and make my home anywhere, as long as I have my computer and good internet access (I have my own wireless internet)Writing, editing and research keeps me at home most days, so your pets will have plenty of company to keep them from fretting over your absence. I am an avid 'dog whisperer' fan and find those methods of interacting with dogs successful with dogs I know well, and also with dogs I have just met.HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCESince 2013 I have completed 20+ housesits all without a problem and am often asked to do repeat house sits. I have no complaints and have never received a complaint. I have many references which home owners were happy to provide.I house sit up and down the NSW & Queensland coastline from Hervey Bay to Newcastle & Gosford. I plan to spend more time in Newcastle/Sydney from October 2016. I am planning a long term car trip to Airlie Beach/Cairns beginning June 2017 and am endeavouring to secure house sits along the way,ABOUT MY LIFE & FAMILYI am an ex-infants teacher and have worked as a carer to the disabled (certificate 111 )I have a daughter and a granddaughter in Newcastle. They have a beautifully trained and extra loving male staffy, Nungo. I house and dog sit for my family several times a year when they go skiing or visit their favourite destination, Hamilton Island. Nungo keeps me company and we have a lovely time together.I currently share a beautiful house in Murwillumbah, NSW with my sister and her staffy Uschi who is 8 months old. She arrived here at 7 weeks of age and is a delight to have in my life.WHAT I OFFER?I have been a loving caring friend to my own dogs and cats. I have lived with animals in my own homes long term, and have looked after the pets of my friends and relatives.DOGS & IIn the last few years I have learned much about dog psychology, and find this knowledge useful when approaching and looking after other people's pets.I had experienced house sitting and dog sitting for friends, so I thought I would put my experiences to good use and start house sitting professionally.CATS & IAs a child we always had a cat. Always a female & therefore I have experienced the birth (and care) of many kittens. As an adult I had two cats on separate occasions, Victoria and Adelaide. Victoria was baited and that was a horrific experience. The only thing that settled me was to go to the shelter to get another kitten. Adelaide approached us with her big meow.... no decision necessary. She lived a happy long life.TRUST AND COMMITMENTI have looked after many children, dogs, cats and the elderly in my career as a teacher, as a nanny, as personal carer and also as mother and grandmother. I have a great respect for life and all creatures and view life as a precious gift.I understand the services I need to provide as a house sitter, and these fit easily into the way I live my daily life.I have owned my own home and rented many others and have always left these homes as I found them or better. My main goals in life are: to do no harm, add joy where possible and to enjoy myself through trying new ways of living. That is why I feel house sitting is a great experience! Great for the home owner, who will receive peace of mind and excellent care for their home and pet/s. And great for my writing, providing new opportunities for me to meet more people and investigate 'the other side of the fence'.Looking forward to meeting you, being of service and building a relationship of mutual trust.KrystynaPs… please read my references, but contact details for references will be given only after we are close to agreeing on the house sit. I respect the privacy of all parties involved.

As owner builders Margaret and I built our two story timber home at Hervey Bay where we lived for 20 years prior to basing ourselves at Agnes Water in Queensland. During our seven years in PNG I was posted to very isolated outstations where I was responsible for most government matters including police, magisterial, treasury and local government affecting the local people of a sub district. We are quite happy to house sit in areas that are isolated.Margaret as a retired early childhood teacher has taught in Primary schools in Tasmania, NSW, PNG, ACT and Queensland for the past 42 years. She loves gardening and outdoors. We have owned swimming pools in Brisbane and Townville and know how to maintain them.We have had many pets over the years. Our last two dogs were a German Shepherd and a three kg toy poodle who were great mates as we had them at the same time. We do not have pets now.We have our own self contained off road caravan and could be independent. We have house and pet minded at the town of Seventeen Seventy (near Agnes Water) on two occasions looking after three large dogs.We are currently travelling our way around Australia and wish to see and experience as much as we can.We have a son in Sydney and a daughter at Agnes Water and four grandchildren who we love dearly and visit regularly. Above all we are friendly, have a good sense of humour, active and enjoy meeting people. You can rest assured that we would look after your property in the best way.
Happily married, and still in love after many years of working together 24/7, we decided to retire early and take the time and opportunity to explore this great Southern land. With our four-legged child, a 6 year old Poodle/Maltese X, we like to spend periods of time in places that please us. We've met fabulous folk and seen wonderful sights on our journey. Now we'd love to learn more about the area in which you live!In our former life we were kitchenware wholesalers and retailers, with a cooking school - where John taught many culinary classes. He is passionate about real food and good nutrition, and continues to cook up a storm on the road! Michele is a qualified dog trainer. A Certified Training Partner of the, internationally recognised, Karen Pryor Academy she works with private clients and also volunteers at RSPCA centres. All just part and parcel of the house sitting service! With Michele in residence, your pets will enjoy the time out and holiday just as much as you will!We also have experience with a variety of farm animals, and can administer needles and medications as required. We enjoy the outdoor life enormously! We're mature - AND we still know how to have fun! We're energetic, active and interested in everything. Walking every day is important to us, and keeps us all fit. Other than that, we're quite content to stay @ home and enjoy the ambience. Pottering in the garden is always a pleasure - never a chore. We have a travelling, potted herb garden ... essential for the chef! Actually, we're healthier and happier now than ever before. We're non-smokers and we need a smoke-free environment. We keep a clean and tidy caravan, and will treat your house with due care and respect. We're responsible, reliable and trustworthy. In recent years I have been lucky to do an apartment sit in Hiroshima Japan, and a couple of house sits in NZ. I am a non-smoker and am single and have no pets. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.I have now just completed 6 months of house/dog sitting in Perth Western Australia and Darwin for 2 months and enjoyed every minute of it. I am now heading back south to the Sunshine Coast to where I usually live until the New Year. If you are looking for a house sitter while you have a break over Christmas/new year or school holidays I would love to look after your house and/or pets as though they were my own.

My name is Kaz, and I am an experienced house/pet sitter. I am 66 years old, non smoker, and love animals - particularly dogs. My last 4 legged companion (Tigger - a retired Greyhound) passed away several years ago. His passing (at the ripe old age of 14) meant I could take on new ventures.I love new places, and looking after furry kids - fishy, feathered kids if necessary!!Having worked in extremely remote communities over a 10 year period, I am organised and adaptable, and would look after your home and pets as I would my own. Up until late 2014, I owned my own home. I sold, in preparation to moving to country NSW in November of 2016. I have been permanently housesitting since 2012. In March of 2014, I closed my landline crystal and mineral business, and moved to selling online. Which means that I work from home. I have my own internet connection, and chose Telstra as my provider, as their coverage is (generally!!) greater.I am happy to provide details of referees. I have regular clients, and house/pet sit for some of them several times per year....Some feedback from clients:"It is always reassuring to know the dogs can be at home rather than in kennels We were able to enjoy planning the trip and then eventually being away with your great service. The dogs were well cared for and obviously enjoyed your presence very much so we are happy too!! No problem if you use these comments". Joe and Anne, Perth, WA"We were very happy with Kaz. Fergie is a rather strong and dominant rescue dog with a few problems such as separation anxiety and we came back to find her actually better than when we left! So much so, that I have asked Kaz to meet up for a walk with the dog so I can learn from how she handles her! For the first time ever, our cat had not pined and lost weight. The house was neat and tidy and Kaz had go above and beyond in every respect." Carol and Punch, Perth, WA.Referee's contact details available on request.
