I am a friendly, trustworthy, animal loving person with a beautiful 17 month old daughter, Luna Aurora. We enjoy a healthy and fun loving lifetyle and are well accustomed to domestic pets, from rescue dogs and cats through to rabbits, tutrles, birds and guineas pigs! I am a photographer who is currently working on online projects. I organise fundraising initiatives for animal rescue organsiations overseas. I also run the 2getherdogs foundation to speak for those who cannot speak for themeselves and help wherever I can to assist the rehomeing of stray dogs finding their furever homes. Luna is an incredible, sweet natured, happy, pretty much always smiling babe who loves animals too, having just discovered cats and dogs! Luna is into music & dancing, strolls in the park, food and lots of naps. Why do we want to house sit?~ We are in Melbourne visiting my parents for an extended period and currently have tenants in our space. Therefore we look at this opportunity to house sit for you as a perfect exchange. I am particularly attracted by the mutual trust that is essential for house-sitting to be successful. Being invited to look after someone’s home is an important responsibility. Your house and animals are precious and are to be treated with love and care. What can we bring? We are genuine animal lovers and will treat them like the furperson that they are. We will spend alot of time with your animals being home with Luna for a large portion of each day with plenty of time for walks! I have grown up with animals, and have taken in numerous rescue cats and have rehomed them aswell as have worked with stray dogs in rescue homes. Currently we share a home with rescue tabby TomKat and long time senior resident, gizmo the Maltese. We will bring a caring, reliable, organised touch with us to your home. I have experience during past travels caring for a range of properties, city and rural, all treated with respect for owners homes & privacy. I have also co run a B&B and am very aware of presentation & house related issues involving, repairs & maintenance. My house sit motto is: 'do no harm' I will always return houses to the owners in the condition received- if not better. There is always the option to keep regular email/skype contact with the owners if desired, I am non-smoking and am able to provide you with references on request.Looking forward to hearing from you:)
Hi, We are a couple 67 and 60. We have just retired and have already done a number of house sits on Magnetic island and in the Brisbane area. We have enjoyed it immensely, we now would like to get more into house sitting to see more of this wonderful country. Our house sitting preference at this time would be Queensland or Northern NSW, however we are looking at all states. We have lived in our own house in Coffs Harbour for 40 years. We are a very stable couple who pride ourselves on looking after other peoples houses and animals the same as we look after our own. Although we have not had any dogs or cats at home we do have quite a bit of experience with animals, looking after many different kinds during the house sitting jobs that we have previously done. Spencer has also worked at an animal park for 40 years. We have bred birds as a hobby for the last 10 years. We are sure your house and animals would be in good hands with us looking after it while you are away. We are both non-smokers and enjoy the outdoors. References are available. Please call us to discuss any needs you may have.
I am a recently seperated sinlge mum with 2 daughters who are 12 & 10yrs of age. I completed a Bachelor's at USC in 2015 and this year I intend to do a post grad by long distance. I have a vision of starting a few projects. Organising these takes up most of my time. My daughters are well behaved, quiet, tidy and they adore any kind of animal especially pugs & ragdoll cats. We have come from a home that had dogs, cats & fish and we are all capable of caring for any pets and would enjoy doing so. We have a strong Christian faith and will value and respect you and what is of value to you. I am a non smoker. I would prefer long term sitting but am happy to help out for short term as well. We are seeking to house sit to help us save money as rental prices are so expensive at the moment. Thanks so much for considering us.
I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements.Hope we can assist each other .
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are certainly respectful, house-proud sitters, with Tony being a dab hand at housework and gardening while Helen is something of an expert at quality control, and you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
HelloMy husband and I are a retired English couple whose son is now living in Melbourne Victoria. We want to explore Australia with a view of emmigrating to Australia and we see house sitting as a way in which we could do this. Looking after someones house and or pets would help us get a real feel of the area. We have experience in looking after dogs and cats having had our own and looked after family members pets when they go on holidays. We are in our late 50's early 60's and are fit. We love walking and are houseproud, so would look after your home. My husband is very practical, a handyman around the house able to solve most maintainance issues. We could supply references if required however, communication between us, potential sitters and house owners will put both our minds at rest..We will be available from November 2017 until July 2018.We would be very interested in a housesit over the Xmas New Year that would be open to us inviting some of our family to stay over. We would be very responsible and respectful of your property and pets at this time.Roger and PhyllisI have attached below a character reference from my colleague at my place of work for 23 years. To whom it may concern.I have known Phyllis Austin in excess of 23 years both as a work colleague and as a friend. She was employed by Tesco Stores Limited in various managerial roles including Customer Service Manager responsible for the well being and training of over 120 staff, before ending up as a Compliance Manager in Newton Abbot store,This role involved ensuring that the store remained safe and legal at all times. This meant liaising with the rest of the management team from Store Manager down to make sure that they completed all of their legal training such as Health and Safety, Fire and Pest Control.During my time working with Phyllis she was always diligent and thorough and had a way of ensuring that everything was completed to tight timescales through her manner, encouraging others to do their best, and coaching/training whenever necessary. Part of her duties included being in charge of the store as a duty manager, and this task she completed with ease.I would have no hesitation in recommending her for any role that she applied for as I know that her integrity and honesty are second to none.If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.Paul FosterCustomer Experience ManagerNewton Abbot 2920This is a confidential email. (Sorry but we are fully booked for the rest of 2017) Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 61 and 62 who have lived and worked in the same area for 32 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 months to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas. We love animals and we always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we can accommodate our time to suit your needs. We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and we are looking forward to a visit to New Zealand in 2018. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions including your mobile number and email address so we can make contact and get to know each other prior to your trip. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we have found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Jo and Ross Tanner
We are a professional couple located in Canberra and have previously completed a local house sit in between the sale of our house and the purchase of our new one. We have a seventeen year old daughter who loves school and enjoys part-time work. She is a mature young lady who loves animals of all shapes and sizes. We enjoy meeting and looking after new furry friends during house sits and our daughter currently does this in our home for Don't Fret Pet. We are clean and tidy non-smokers who respect other peoples property and privacy. Whilst we don't have Happy Housesitters references we are happy to forward both of our work histories which include over two decades service in the AFP and an executive HR management role with a not-for-profit.Our house sitting interest at the moment is for holiday breaks (either in or out of school holidays) as a family, or sometimes individually as I (Tony) don't work full time. Occasionally I am happy to get away for a break by myself. My wife encourages it;-)If you are after a small family who will take care of your pets and home as if they were their own then we would love to help.
Hi, we are semi-retired professional, non-smokers and animal lovers. We have always lived with cats and dogs and I currently have 2 horses. We house sat for 6 months during renovations to our house in Sydney and had return requests, which we gladly accepted even after our house was ready as we had so much fun with the dogs and were missing having a dog in our lives at the time. That experience opened our eyes to the joys of house-sitting, meeting new people and animals and getting to know parts of NSW and beyond that we had never experienced. We are honest, reliable and responsible and appreciate the level of trust placed in us to take care of someone's home and their much loved pets. So far have not been phased by any care requirements, and are experienced with elderly and nervous pets as well as the boisterous and cuddly varieties! Happy to provide references. Up to date police check by my employer (hospital) so no skeletons in the closet!
Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on email@example.com anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva
Who am I:I’m Caroline, and I'm now back in Australia after 15 months living in Bali (and house sitting for about 6 months of that time). Prior to living in Bali, I spent 12 months solid housesitting in different parts of Sydney. If you're travelling and don't want to leave your house empty, or simply want someone to water your pot plants every day or two, I'm very happy to look after your place on my own. I've also spent much time with lovely pets as well. I have a strong preference for easy to care for pets (rather than a zoo!). They can be 1 or 2 cats, or dogs, chooks, ducks, guinea pigs, fish or something else I haven't thought of but you can teach me to care for. Please note, I am a non smoker and thus I prefer to stay in homes of non smokers. I am a minimalist and prefer homes that a spacious and clean. Why I love house sitting:I love to housesit because I'm a bit of a nomad. Setting up shop in just one location for a long time has never really done it for me. So I travel light and move where I feel called to spend time. It's an unconventional life, but I love it. And the way social media and technology is these days, I can easily stay connected with friends and family wherever I am in the world.Where I am now: Sydney, NSWWhere I'll be next: Townsville, QLDWhen and where I'm currently available:18th July - 26th July 2017 (Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast or Byron Shire)27th July - 3rd Sept 2017 (Sydney)4th Sept - 13th Sept 2017 (Melbourne)14th Sept - 6 Oct 2017 (Melbourne or Sydney)(Overseas Oct/Nov co-leading a walking wellness retreat)Likely to be available again in Sydney from mid-late Nov onwards.Preferred areas in Sydney; Balmain/Birchgrove, North Sydney/Lavender Bay, Mosman/Balmoral, Bronte/Clovelly/CoogeePossible areas; anywhere within 30 minutes of Sydney city by public transport.Preferred areas in Melbourne; within 45 mins of CBD, accessible by public transport & walking distance from shops & cafésFor other parts of Australia, please keep reading. Why trust me with your home:I have a bunch of references from people who know me well and can say nice things about me, as well as from people who don’t know me that well, but have had me in their home. (I uploaded a couple of these to this site the last round of Australian house sits I did, but have more if you need them). I take my role as house, home, garden and pet sitter seriously. My policy is… if your place is worth living in, then it’s worth looking after. And I will look after it as if it were my own :)What I do for work:I work as a life and business coach helping people improve the quality of their life, relationships and/or business, and I do 95% of my work from home. That means I am at home way more than if you had a house sitter who worked a 9-5 job. It also means any house sit I take on must have fast internet, so I can use Skype (video calls) to conduct my work.Driving a car vs. Public transport:I do not have a car, but I do have a full driver's license and am a highly capable and responsible driver (I used to drive small buses full of people for a living many years ago, so I take this responsibility seriously). Often home owners will leave their car and keys with me to use if/when needed. This isn't essential to me looking after your home, unless you live in an area that has almost no public transport. If you live in an area with regular buses and/or trains into the city, and I can easily access a supermarket and other shops, a park and/or bushland, then I'm unlikely to use a car much anyway :) If you have a dog that needs walking and the dog off leash park is a car drive away, then you may wish to leave me the car for this reason.Length of stay:I'm happy to consider house sits for as little as a few days if it's an area I'd really love to visit (e.g. Byron Bay area, Sunshine Coast, Melbourne city, Adelaide city, because I have friends in each of these areas), and as long as one month. I'll consider house sits at short notice, and as far ahead as 2-3 months. If you do have a home you'd like me to look after that includes getting on a plane then I will consider anything far flung, or somewhat outrageous if you're happy to pay for/contribute to the travel costs for me to get to/from (within Australia). Never know unless you ask :) Other things to know:As someone who has lived in a LOT of different people's homes in my life, I am aware of things other house sitters may not be. If you're vegetarian or vegan, no worries, I won't consume meat in your home. If you're very, very private and don't want me to have any visitors whilst in your home, tell me, because otherwise I am likely to have one of my (lovely, super respectful, darling) friends over for a cuppa or a meal :) If you have particular sensitivities or allergies, or other specific requests, I'm pretty good at all of these things, just let me know.Contacting me:I like to have a conversation with people whose homes I might look after ideally a video call (Skype or similar) so we can talk AND see one another before deciding if I will come to stay in your home. Meeting home owners and pets in person, and seeing the home I may live in beforehand whilst nice in theory but is not always easy to arrange. However, if you can introduce me to your pets and show me your home on a video call that can work well.Things I have found make a house sitting arrangement work well:1. That we're both really clear on what is expected, what I am free to use and what I'm not (e.g. some people tell me to eat any food they've left in the house, use the home phone as I wish, watch any of their movies, and use their cable tv, etc. Others prefer me not to use any of these. Both situations are fine, as long as we're both clear beforehand)2. That there are written notes of important phone numbers for both you, vets and anyone nearby you want me to know about3. That you show me how to secure the house anytime I leave or at night when sleeping (is there a trick to the lock? is there a security door to the garage? etc)4. That I know how to care for your pets in the way you would want them to be looked after5. That you show me any particular quirks in the way your house works (e.g. 8 step process to turn on washing machine and it won't work if you don't do it that way)6. That your home and pets ARE like what you tell me they are (nothing worse for a house sitter who has gone out of her way to care for a home, turning up at a house after being told one thing and discovering that the pets are unmanageable, or the teenage kids have been left at home for me to "keep an eye on", or the house hasn't been tidied or cleaned in years... Did I mention I've stayed in a few houses before? I've seen many things I never wish to see again, hence now I am REALLY clear on what I will and won't live with. My creativity within my business nose dives with clutter, so spacious clean homes are my strong preference.)7. That I can meet you on the day I move in and spend at least 30-60 minutes with you, perhaps over a cup of tea, getting the keys, contact numbers and the low down on how everything in your home works. (Or in the case you fly out in the wee hours of the morning, I have stayed in guest bed rooms overnight and had that "cuppa conversation" over dinner instead. That works too).8. That we have a clear plan, for how and when I will move out, ideally again this is over a cuppa, with a conversation about how it all went, how your furbabies (if applicable) are doing, seeing where your mail is, where all your house (and car) keys are, and anything else we might need to discuss so you can settle back in and I can leave knowing everything is as it should be :)From here:Want to talk to me about minding your home and caring for your pets? Contact me my mail through this site and I'll get back to you soon! Thanks!Caroline.
We are an active couple in our 60's who live on a purpose built property with our extended family. Grandchildren are wonderfull but its nice to get away every now & then for a change of scenery. We have 2 labradors & chooks on our property the care of which we share with the family. We have always had dogs in our lives as well as cats, horses, fish, chooks. Our favourite animals are dogs. We treat them as family. We walk our two Labs every day (for our own health as well as theirs) - We love to travel and in between saving for the next OS trip like to do short breaks to satisfy our need for change. We like reading, watching movies, good food and have a glass of wine at night only. Non smokers. Fastidious in the house although we do let our dogs inside at night for a cuddle. We housesat for 4 months whilst our new houses were being built & we have done 2 houseswops and 2 non recipricol guest hosting. In earlier years we hosted exchange students when our children were still at home.
We're two young and fit retirees who are travelling around Australia on a permanent basis in our little caravan. We're planning to be mostly out bush because we enjoy bird watching, but will sometimes be coming into towns and cities and would love to look after a home for a while. We've rented our house out, so we know how important it is to have someone you can trust to look after your home! Gardening is something we enjoy, so caring for one would be fine. For many years we owned two very spoiled cats and although we have never owned a dog we'd be happy to look after a small one. We've house sat a small dog, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and chooks. Birds, pet mice, gerbils, small reptiles etc. are all ok. We wouldn't be suitable for large dogs or horses. We can supply references from housesits we've done previously through happy housesitters if required. We're currently looking for a house sit northern NSW or SW QLD for Nov-Dec 2017 (not Christmas-New Year) We know this is a long way off but we're planning ahead!

We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus! We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. Over the years we have also had extensive experience in house & garden maintenance having renovated our own properties & also as sitters, we have cared for a number of different types of homes & properties ranging from large farms through to smaller homes & units. We do understand that everyone's house & pets are different & we seriously take this on board & listen to each individuals requests & we will follow through with meeting your specific requirements while we stay & promise to keep you updated while you are away. The opportunity to become your house sitter would be a great privilege & something we would not take for granted, as we both understand it is a necessity to respect your house & property & keep it well maintained while in residence. We are both non smokers, healthy & happy people & look forward to hearing from you.If required we can provide further reputable references & recommendation contacts.Hope to hear from you !Susie & Gary

We are a 'senior' couple (non-smokers) and have recently sold our rural property in Tasmania, and intend to travel throughout Australia (and some overseas travel) during 2017. We will be using this time to make a decision where our next home will be, and looking forward to the opportunities housesitting will give us. We are referring to this time as our "GAP YEAR!" We are practical people and have mostly lived on small acreage properties in Tasmania. We've enjoyed the company of many pets over the years including 2 cats, 2 dogs, a pet sheep, 2 goats (so not 'pet'!) and chickens. We have had work experience related to housesitting placements when we worked on a remote Pilbara island, and in Coral Bay, WA. Doug was responsible for pool maintenance and general groundsman work, and I did housekeeping duties - and kitchen hand! It was a great experience living on a remote island, and fairly challenging coping with a Pilbara summer. We have also worked in a remote Aboriginal Community in the N.T. Doug was the Essential Services Operator and I looked after the Creche in the morning before changing hats to be the Centrelink Agent/general office admin. person in the afternoon. It was another wonderful opportunity and gave us an insight into the lives of Australia's indigenous people. To date we have had the pleasure of meeting a several home owners and their pets, and now have experience with managing big, bouncy dogs to the little feisty ones. We will be out of Australia from 13 May to 11 June, and as at April, have accepted bookings up til the end of October. EDIT:DUE TO CANCELLATION WE ARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM 21 AUGUST TO 21 SEPTEMBER.We are an easily adaptable couple and adjust quickly to new living situations. We prefer acreage properties, but equally enjoy the 'buzz' of big city living, and the convenience of suburban locations, and small rural towns. We fully appreciate that making the decision to have people you don't know come to your home and care for your pets, garden and home may be a difficult one. We would like to assure you we would take the time to listen to what is required for your 'loved ones' to remain happy in their home, and would promise to care and respect your property as if it was our own. We are honest and reliable people! Most recently we had police checks done, which is a requirement for people working for the Australian Electoral Commission in OIC roles at State and Federal Elections, and this we have done on many occasions. We are in the process of obtaining our own police checks. Also police checks were done when working in the N.T. and when I did volunteer work for Vinnies (Airlie Beach) and The Red Cross (South Perth). Our interests are travel, music (member of a Community Band in TAS) quilting, gardening, walking and baking. I love to discover new speciality shops, delis, etc. We enjoy going to concerts, and would look forward to hearing concerts by the MSO, SSO, QSO and ASO for example if possible. Below are two references, contact details could be supplied once you have made contact with us, and as we receive new ones we will add them as well. Thanks for taking the time to read our profile, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.Therese and Doug Boote.

Benjamin (32), Casey (32) and Willem (3) are a small family based in Melbourne. Benjamin is a postgraduate research student in international relations at the University of Melbourne and Casey is a full-time visual artist, specialising in ink paintings. We are a healthy-living and non-smoking family, that love to travel, enjoy nature and the great outdoors, and getting active (exercising, hiking and exploring.)In 2017, Benjamin is writing a thesis on Australia-Japan relations, and Casey is further developing her business and profile as an artist. This flexibility to work from any location will enable them to spend some time travelling amongst exhibition/research commitments.Benjamin and Casey have both grown up around dogs, with Benjamin's family home never having less than 2-3 dogs at a time, and Casey growing up with a mixture of cats, dogs and horses. They have both grown up on semi-rural properties, and Benjamin also spent childhood holidays on the family farm near Esperance, tending to sheep, lambs and farm dogs.Together, they have had experience house-sitting in city apartments, suburban homes and rural farms, happily adapting to the tasks and responsibilities unique to each. Whether it is caring for pets or tending to gardens and swimming pools, they take pride in maintaining the houses and properties they are entrusted with, and caring for furry friends! Willem has relished in these opportunities too. References are available upon request.
Happily married, and still in love after many years of working together 24/7, we decided to retire early and take the time and opportunity to explore this great Southern land. With our four-legged child, a 6 year old Poodle/Maltese X, we like to spend periods of time in places that please us. We've met fabulous folk and seen wonderful sights on our journey. Now we'd love to learn more about the area in which you live!In our former life we were kitchenware wholesalers and retailers, with a cooking school - where John taught many culinary classes. He is passionate about real food and good nutrition, and continues to cook up a storm on the road! Michele is a qualified dog trainer. A Certified Training Partner of the, internationally recognised, Karen Pryor Academy she works with private clients and also volunteers at RSPCA centres. Caring for your pets is an absolutely joy for her - and she'll happily train any problem behaviours you may be experiencing ... or just teach your fur baby a few neat tricks in your absence! All just part and parcel of the house sitting service! With Michele in residence, your pets will enjoy the time out and holiday just as much as you will! We're mature - AND we still know how to have fun! We're energetic, active and interested in everything. Walking every day is important to us, and keeps us all fit. Other than that, we're quite content to stay @ home and enjoy the ambience. Pottering in the garden is always a pleasure - never a chore. We have a travelling, potted herb garden ... essential for the chef! Actually, we're healthier and happier now than ever before. We're non-smokers and we need a smoke-free environment. We keep a clean and tidy caravan, and will treat your house with due care and respect. We're responsible, reliable and trustworthy. As former home owners, we understand that you want the peace of mind that comes with the right people caring for your critter-kids and castle. We are those people, and would love hear from you.Links to Michele's professional training qualifications, and also to our travel blog are available on request. This site will not permit us to include them in our profile. Character references also available on request.

Steve is a freelance nature photographer and I am a freelance nature & outdoor travel writer. We spend most of our time roaming Australia taking photos and writing articles, and from time to time we like to take a break to catch up on work and to spend time in one place caring for animals and/or tending to a home and garden. We are both animal-lovers, and the only drawback to our lifestyle is that we can't have pets. Steve was previously a primary and middle school teacher in a number of schools in the Melbourne area. I was a child-therapist many moons ago before becoming a full-time freelance writer. We are both originally from the United States but we are now proud Australia citizens (a process that included police background checks). We will care for your animals, and your home and garden, as if it were our own. Please visit our website at Natural Wanders for more information on our work and our background. You may also want to visit our Pet & House Sitting Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LindaStevePetSitting. -We are a non-smoking, vegetarian, married couple who will keep your home tidy and clean and your pets happy and safe. -We work from 'home', in this case your home, so we would not be leaving your animals for long periods during the day. -We would not invite others to your home, and aside from a glass of wine or a beer with dinner, we don't drink. -We have respect for the privacy and property of others: simply close the doors of (or advise us of) rooms you do not want us to go in and we won't!-Once we accept a housesit, we do not back out unless there is a dire emergency. Please email us if you have any questions. Thank you.*For your protection, we are email, phone & address certified, identity verified via document check, letters of recommendation. We had police checks when we went through the process of becoming Australian citizens.
We are two retired guys who are purchasing a house on the Gold Coast and will rent it out for a year or so to drive around Australia. We would love to house and/or pet sit for other people on the way while they enjoy their time away. We have rented houses around NSW and Qld and have always treated them as if they were our own as is testament by the excellent references we have been given by the Property managers, and this is the way we would look after any properties that we are lucky enough to sit. We have had extensive experience with both domestic animals...cats, dogs, birds etc. after having owned all of these at some stage...one of which is shown in the pic I have uploaded...as well as farm animals whilst owning acreage in NSW and Qld.We are both extremely clean & tidy people, non smokers and like to ride push bikes, play tennis and go to sporting events like AFL, Rugby League, tennis etc.
