Happily married, and still in love after many years of working together 24/7, we decided to retire early and take the time and opportunity to explore this great Southern land. With our four-legged child, a 6 year old Poodle/Maltese X, we like to spend periods of time in places that please us. We've met fabulous folk and seen wonderful sights on our journey. Now we'd love to learn more about the area in which you live!In our former life we were kitchenware wholesalers and retailers, with a cooking school - where John taught many culinary classes. He is passionate about real food and good nutrition, and continues to cook up a storm on the road! Michele is a qualified dog trainer. A Certified Training Partner of the, internationally recognised, Karen Pryor Academy she works with private clients and also volunteers at RSPCA centres. Caring for your pets is an absolutely joy for her - and she'll happily train any problem behaviours you may be experiencing ... or just teach your fur baby a few neat tricks in your absence! All just part and parcel of the house sitting service! With Michele in residence, your pets will enjoy the time out and holiday just as much as you will!We also have experience with a variety of farm animals, and can administer needles and medications as required. We enjoy the outdoor life enormously! We're mature - AND we still know how to have fun! We're energetic, active and interested in everything. Walking every day is important to us, and keeps us all fit. Other than that, we're quite content to stay @ home and enjoy the ambience. Pottering in the garden is always a pleasure - never a chore. We have a travelling, potted herb garden ... essential for the chef! Actually, we're healthier and happier now than ever before. We're non-smokers and we need a smoke-free environment. We keep a clean and tidy caravan, and will treat your house with due care and respect. We're responsible, reliable and trustworthy. As former home owners, we understand that you want the peace of mind that comes with the right people caring for your critter-kids and castle. We are those people, and would love hear from you.Links to Michele's professional training qualifications, and other relevant information is available on request. I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you. I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?

We are an older couple. We own our own home and we recently lost our little dog who had been with us for 17.5 years. Our little dog was certainly "part of the family". We are retired. Peter is a retired Senior Sergeant with the Victoria Police. He still works in the judicial system as a Justice of the Peace. I have a current Police Check. I was a teacher/school counselor. We have had experience house sitting and we do know how we would like people to respect our property so naturally we would do the same for others. We really love to travel and visit new places. We enjoy walking and reading when we are on holidays.Your house would be left just the way we found it on arrival. We can provide references if required.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are certainly respectful, house-proud sitters, with Tony being a dab hand at housework and gardening while Helen is something of an expert at quality control, and you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

I grew up on a farm thus have familiarity, experience, patience and love for animals and pets, having grown up caring for many various pets of my own.I have a passion for gardening and landscaping; I have the time to care for, walk and empathize with your pet/s missing their owner/s while keeping your home safe and as you left it. I have always owned my own homes and worked in responsible professional positions; married for 37 years to an electrician who works away six months of the year, with adult independent children living interstate pursuing professional careers.I will respect your home, garden and beloved pets with the care I show my own. I can supply a Police Check, Working with Children Check (pets are our children!), House Owners and character references when required.I am willing to listen carefully to your instructions, preferences & requirements. I am a single 61 year old, retired former public servant. I am financially secure, well educated and well travelled. I try to run my life simple, peaceful and close to nature. I am a meditator and I practise yoga daily. I am fastidious and keep my surrounds uncluttered and extremely tidy. I clean the house I live in chemicals free as much as possible. I do nor smoke or drink, I do not gamble and I eat healthy and organic food. I like gardening and growing my own vegetables. I find these activities very rewarding as well as therapeutic. I like animals especially cats, which I find serene and independent and dogs for their fondness of humans. In my younger days I spent time on farms in Poland and enjoyed a lot of interaction with other domesticated animals. I owned several houses in my life, the last one being in Suffolk Park, which I sold in 2015. In my sits so far i have looked after the houses as well as vegetable gardens and dogs, cats, chicken, lorrikeets, cockatiels, goats, steer, sheep, horses, alpacas, fish turntle and a donkey.I have enjoyed my house sits. I feel they work for both parties. It is a great way for me to see new parts of Australia and give the owners the freedom to travel. I am able to provide good references which will show that I maintain properties very well.

We are experienced Aussie housesitters, retired accountant and agricultural scientist, grey nomads, non smokers, and both dog and cat lovers, having owned our own pets all our lives, and looked after numerous and various animals as housesitters for other homeowners, like yourselves. My husband and I were introduced to the concept of housesitting when we retired in July 2005. Since then, we have combined travel with housesitting in Australia, New Zealand, England and Europe and made lifelong friends along the way. So far, we have undertaken 100+ housesits over the past 12 years since retiring from full time employment. For ourselves during the course of our life, we have owned large dogs; boxers and german shepherds – all obedience trained - also cats, fish and poultry. We both retired from our jobs in the Northern Territory and sold our home, with a swimming pool, owned for 20 years. We plan on continuing to travel whilst we are healthy and until we get the travel bug out of our system. Our motto is to treat your home and pets as we would expect our own home and pets to be treated - with respect, love and care.I was born and bred on a farm in South Australia, lived there for 21 years before moving to the Northern Territory, where my working life continued as an accountant. My husband is a Queenslander, and worked as an agricultural scientist in 2 Australian states, during the course of his working career. We can provide written references, photos and police clearances, if you require further info. – but basically, we are just ‘grey nomads’ – enjoying retirement and travelling around England, Europe and Australia whilst we still have our health and are able to travel. Thanks for your time

Hi my name is Emily and I am a 37 year old female, professional (teacher). I have decided to take a 12 month break and travel around Australia. Hopefully get some experience in things other than teaching and visit some new places. I am traveling with my 2 year old Labrador - Elvis. He loves all dogs and has had some exposure to farm animals. He sleeps outside and is more than happy to chill at home and is obedient. We will be around the North Queensland area from January 2017, so are very happy to organise a meet and greet so everyone is happy. I am traveling with a camper trailer, so can sleep in that if need be (& just require somewhere to park it). I am looking for house sits in Northern Queensland from January to July 2017 and in WA from August to January 2018. I am a non-drinker, non-smoker and active person that will spoil all animals big or small. I enjoy gardening and like to keep the house neat and tidy. I have done many offical and unofficial house sits over the years and looked after cats, dogs, lizards, chickens, fish and a variety of gardens. I am a fairly handy person and have lived on average myself over the years and am happy to care for farm animals too. References and a Police Check (via my VIT - teaching accreditation) can be provided upon request.I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi, my name is Jayne. I am 62 and a non smoker. I am conscientious, clean and adore dogs, like cats. I would take the kind of loving care with your home and pets you would take. I started housesitting in WA about 10 years ago in Perth and Dunsborough for 4 years and have housesat in Queensland, port macquarie and the northern rivers. People have always been happy with the health and happiness of their pets and their house when they have returned home. I have been offered repeat housesits. I have great references. I owned my own business in Sydney for 12 years so you can see i am responsible and reliable. I am semi retired and work mostly from my laptop so can work anywhere. i design and make semi precious stone jewellery and whenever i get the opportunity i make no dig gardens and grow beautifully healthy vegies. I sold my home in New South Wales in 2008 while i was enjoying living in the Margaret River region of WA. I have come back east because my mother is elderly now. I have had the joy of owning 3 Scottish Terriers: Mac, Skye and Kiltie. I would like to housesit anywhere from Port Macquarie up through the Northern Rivers and Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Please contact me if i can help. Kindest regards, Jayne
Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on firstname.lastname@example.org anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva
We love to meet new pets and visiting new places and have been enthusiastic house sitters for over six years - many repeat sits with the same owners. We are dedicated pet carers and gardeners, understanding that your pets, garden and house are very special. We would look after them with kind enthusiasm taking excellent care and paying attention to all the things required. We are both fit and well, are non-smokers and are very tidy and organised. We live in Victoria, love to travel and can do any duration of house sit whether in city or country. We are university graduates and take a keen interest in gardening, graphics, art, books, bird watching and walking. Chris is familiar with pumps, tanks and the workings of mowers etc as well as computers and has good problem solving skills.Full references with contact numbers can be provided upon request but here are a few:Rod and Lining - Cherrybrook NSW Chris and Fiona looked after our house and cat for about two months at the end of 2016. They were excellent house sitters and I can warmly recommend their services. They took great care with our possessions and treated the house as their own. They showed initiative to maintain the house and the garden. They kept the house spotless and the garden has never looked better than after Chris had applied his "green fingers". Throughout our absence they regularly informed us about any issues and this helped us to have enjoyable and worry-free holidays. Chris and Fiona are very good with animals and they took great care of the cat, goldfish and all. We thank them for everything and would have no hesitation to trust them with our property and animals in the future.Bob and Joan: Mullumbimby NSWChris and Fiona have been house sitters for us on 7 occasions. We have a 3 bedroom house and a flat attached to the garage. Our property is 1 1/4 acres. At all times they treated the house as their own and cared for it and the yard as if that what the case. They are both honest, caring, genuine people. We would recommend them as house sitters.Fred and Monica: Northern NSWI would like to offer this reference for Chris and Fiona, as they looked after our house and cat on three occasions and we were very happy with the outcome. We can definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a house/pet sitter.Sara and Leo - Repton NSWChris and Fiona house-sat for us for eight weeks taking care of our pets (chickens, rabbit, cat and fish) and home. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else looking for thoughtful and responsible house-sitters.
