Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on firstname.lastname@example.org anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva
We are a fully retired mature couple who live in the Warrnambool area. We have decided to see this fabulous country of ours by helping others care for their homes and pets while they holiday elsewhere. We are very house/garden- proud. Our garden is as immaculate as the interior. We would treat your house as our own and leave it as we found it. We are non- smokers. We have no pets of our own but love animals. Myles is a retired farmer, cleaner and transport company owner and I have grown up with cats, dogs, fish, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, stick insects, etc. Therefore, we would treat you precious pets with love, understanding and kindness.I have recently retired after teaching in the classroom for 40 years and from owning a tutoring business for 6 years. Up until now,we have been restricted to house-sitting during school holidays. We both have Police Checks and Working With Children Checks. We have completed 29 house-sits so far, so have happy owners who would be happy to vouch for us. We also have 2 other referees who are willing to chat to you regarding our honesty and integrity. We are presently booked in NSW until mid-January 2018 when we return to Vic for further sots..We contact owners on a daily basis by email, WhatsAp or Skype to put their minds at rest about the security and happiness of their pets.We would be honoured if you would consider us in looking after your home and treasured pets.Thanking you.Liz and Myles
Hi,I love animals, am clean, considerate, and quiet. Love to roam and take pictures and feel at home in both urban and country environments. I have been running Airbnb properties for the past seven years, mostly as a 'superhost' so am clean, responsible, and enjoy meeting new people from everywhere.House sitting is knew to me but animal care is not. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses and wilderness wildlife. I am hoping to find some long term sits.Tess
Happily married, and still in love after many years of working together 24/7, we decided to retire early and take the time and opportunity to explore this great Southern land. With our four-legged child, a 6 year old Poodle/Maltese X, we like to spend periods of time in places that please us. We've met fabulous folk and seen wonderful sights on our journey. Now we'd love to learn more about the area in which you live!In our former life we were kitchenware wholesalers and retailers, with a cooking school - where John taught many culinary classes. He is passionate about real food and good nutrition, and continues to cook up a storm on the road! Michele is a qualified dog trainer. A Certified Training Partner of the, internationally recognised, Karen Pryor Academy she works with private clients and also volunteers at RSPCA centres. Caring for your pets is an absolutely joy for her - and she'll happily train any problem behaviours you may be experiencing ... or just teach your fur baby a few neat tricks in your absence! All just part and parcel of the house sitting service! With Michele in residence, your pets will enjoy the time out and holiday just as much as you will!We also have experience with a variety of farm animals, and can administer needles and medications as required. We enjoy the outdoor life enormously! We're mature - AND we still know how to have fun! We're energetic, active and interested in everything. Walking every day is important to us, and keeps us all fit. Other than that, we're quite content to stay @ home and enjoy the ambience. Pottering in the garden is always a pleasure - never a chore. We have a travelling, potted herb garden ... essential for the chef! Actually, we're healthier and happier now than ever before. We're non-smokers and we need a smoke-free environment. We keep a clean and tidy caravan, and will treat your house with due care and respect. We're responsible, reliable and trustworthy. As former home owners, we understand that you want the peace of mind that comes with the right people caring for your critter-kids and castle. We are those people, and would love hear from you.Links to Michele's professional training qualifications, and other relevant information is available on request. This site will not permit us to include them in our profile. Character references also available on request.

My name is Kaz, and I am an experienced house/pet sitter. I am 65 years old, non smoker, and love animals - particularly dogs. My last 4 legged companion (Tigger - a retired Greyhound) passed away several years ago. His passing (at the ripe old age of 14) meant I could take on new ventures.I love new places, and looking after furry kids - fishy, feathered kids if necessary!!Having worked in extremely remote communities over a 10 year period, I am organised and adaptable, and would look after your home and pets as I would my own. Up until late 2014, I owned my own home. I sold, in preparation to moving to country NSW in November of 2016. I have been permanently housesitting since 2012. In March of 2014, I closed my landline crystal and mineral business, and moved to selling online. Which means that I work from home. I have my own internet connection, and chose Telstra as my provider, as their coverage is (generally!!) greater.I have a current "Working with Childrens" check - this check has photo ID, plus is far more thorough than a normal police check.I am currently booked for the following dates:17th Feb - 4th March: Wingham.24th March - 13th April: Bathurst, NSW.13th April - 18th April: West Haven, NSW.18th April - 25th April: Lake Cathie, NSW.26th April to 10th June: Toowoomba, Qld14th June - 15th July 2017: Scotts Head, NSW.17th November to 18 December: Port Macquarie, NSW.Some recent feedback from clients:"It is always reassuring to know the dogs can be at home rather than in kennels We were able to enjoy planning the trip and then eventually being away with your great service. The dogs were well cared for and obviously enjoyed your presence very much so we are happy too!! No problem if you use these comments". Joe and Anne, Perth, WA"We were very happy with Kaz. Fergie is a rather strong and dominant rescue dog with a few problems such as separation anxiety and we came back to find her actually better than when we left! So much so, that I have asked Kaz to meet up for a walk with the dog so I can learn from how she handles her! For the first time ever, our cat had not pined and lost weight. The house was neat and tidy and Kaz had go above and beyond in every respect." Carol and Punch, Perth, WA.Referee's contact details available on request.
IntroductionWe are a semi-retired couple looking forward to caring for your pets and home while you are away. In our life together, 43 years, we have loved and cared for five dogs and were blessed that they each lived over 11 years as part of our family. We are Internet professionals and can work from anywhere as long as we have an Internet connection. This allows your pets to become familiar and comfortable with us as we are present everyday during the house sit. After spending quite a few years living at high altitude while in Colorado, we have learned the value of taking care of ourselves, so daily exercise and eating well is part of our normal routine. We really enjoy house and pet sitting having just completed ninety-six weeks of 119 weeks caring for large and small dogs as well as many different breeds of cats in locations throughout the world. Being on the road for over two years, we have expanded our experience in handling challenges (of the house as well as the pet kind) in many countries far from the borders of home. From short to long term, we are very interested in meeting you and your pets and caring for what matters to you most. Why we want to house sitWe love to experience what is special about each place where we house and pet sit whether it is shopping at local farmer and flea markets, letting the vendors practice their English; meeting the friends and neighbors of the homeowners who become our neighbors and acquaintances for the time we stay in each city, town or village. What we bring to the assignment / relevant experienceWe are formally trained and certified in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR. We have lived and maintained homes in a variety of climates, from the snow of Colorado to the heat of Florida and internationally in Uruguay. Having lived in so many places, we understand the apprehension of allowing someone unfamiliar to live in your home while you travel and we will respect and care for your home as if it is our own. We are also computer savvy, using technology, such as Skype video calls, Apple Face Time, emails and regular phone calls, to keep the homeowners updated while they are away if they desire. We are semi-retired professionals who use our homeowner experience and acquired organizational skills to provide the homeowner with detailed checklists for preparing your home for the house sitters prior to your leaving. We provide authorization forms for veterinarian care while your pet is in our care and an authorization form to show we are the house sitters you have selected to be in your home, taking care of your pets. We look forward to each new and exciting experience that house and pet sitting offers us and hope to meet you and your pets very soon. We provide references, and police reports whenever requested.

We are a fit and healthy retired couple in our mid 70s living in Adelaide. We are interested in house sitting and caring for pets.We have references from past sitting.Prior to retiring we owned a farm and then a business. I have a police clearances for caring and volunteer-work. I like to keep a neat, tidy house and love craft.Col is a handyman and an ex- grader Both of us enjoy the outdoors and gardening.2017 we plan to travel around Australia beginning with WA. We have a 16 foot pop top caravan and enjoy travelling this wonderful country we live in. We are both non smokers.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

I am a single professional, self-employed Australian with two adult sons (pursuing their own careers). With no family around me, I no longer need to be based in one location. I enjoy the freedom that house sitting offers where I can be a devoted animal lover to other people's pets while enjoying your location. Being agile and moving to different cities suits my Internet based (email traffic, not heavy downloads) work very well and as I have lived in almost all of Australia's capitals & various cities overseas, I am very much at home wherever I am. I will consider any sit with a preference for long house sits (3-12months). I am open to being in any location, city or region…here are some of my favourites: NYC, Spain, Malta, Central America, Chile, most countries in Europe and NZ. I am self employed as a facilitator, business management consultant and executive coach where I conduct my work 'virtually' via the Internet & Skype. This means I can work anywhere as long as I have fast, reliable Internet. Why I want to house sitThrough past house sitting experience, I recognise the value of house sitting to pet lovers & security for your home while giving me flexibility & variety in lifestyle. I have travelled extensively over the years and am resourceful and socially inclusive. Your pets and home will receive my responsible and loving attention and I will be proactive by staying in touch to keep you informed about how everything is going without being a burden. I don't own a car, so, I’d welcome the use of a car if possible please, especially for overseas or remote/ distance house sits.My experience & promise to youI promise warmth, openness, transparency and genuine care of your pet family and your home. I am pleased to have 'home based' work so I offer a strong presence & companionship for your home & pets. I have been an Australian Army Officer with a top secret positive vet security clearance (21yr), consultant to most Australian Commonwealth Govt departments, 3yrs as deputy chair and director Crime Stoppers & National Trust boards. I pride myself on maintaining high integrity, sound judgement, balance, reliability and being a proactive communicator. I'm also a very loving and gentle person with animals. You can depend on me to keep you informed and to make decisions about your pets and home with your priorities in mind. I am comfortable with all types of animals and those with special needs. I will reach out to people in your immediate community network, as advised by you, if needed. I've been a home owner for 25yr, an animal lover for life and I know the value of a quality house sitter. I've had the joy of 7yrs experience as a host to my own house sitter, so I fully understand and respect the responsibility that comes with this position. I am also a 'live-in' sitter for people with frequent short absences, so I can be there while you come and go. My aim is to give you absolute peace of mind while you are absent while having a cost effective home solution for myself (as a 'local'!) in a new environment. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet family! My previous hosts are all happy to chat with you and I can email you their references if you wish. Wherever possible, if I am in your city, I will always try to meet with you and your pets in advance of the sit so we know that 'everyone' is comfortable. I like to make contact in advance with new hosts so we can see if we're a fit (for your pets, you & me) in advance of a future sit. Let's chat!

Hello Home OwnersAs a writer of children's books and songs I am free to go anywhere and make my home anywhere, as long as I have my computer and good internet access (I have my own wireless internet)Writing, editing and research keeps me at home most days, so your pets will have plenty of company to keep them from fretting over your absence. I am an avid 'dog whisperer' fan and find those methods of interacting with dogs successful with dogs I know well, and also with dogs I have just met.HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCESince 2013 I have completed 20+ housesits all without a problem and am often asked to do repeat house sits. I have no complaints and have never received a complaint. I have many references which home owners were happy to provide.I house sit up and down the NSW & Queensland coastline from Hervey Bay to Newcastle & Gosford. I plan to spend more time in Newcastle/Sydney from October 2016. I am planning a long term car trip to Airlie Beach/Cairns beginning June 2017 and am endeavouring to secure house sits along the way,ABOUT MY LIFE & FAMILYI am an ex-infants teacher and have worked as a carer to the disabled (certificate 111 )I have a daughter and a granddaughter in Newcastle. They have a beautifully trained and extra loving male staffy, Nungo. I house and dog sit for my family several times a year when they go skiing or visit their favourite destination, Hamilton Island. Nungo keeps me company and we have a lovely time together.I currently share a beautiful house in Murwillumbah, NSW with my sister and her staffy Uschi who is 8 months old. She arrived here at 7 weeks of age and is a delight to have in my life.WHAT I OFFER?I have been a loving caring friend to my own dogs and cats. I have lived with animals in my own homes long term, and have looked after the pets of my friends and relatives.DOGS & IIn the last few years I have learned much about dog psychology, and find this knowledge useful when approaching and looking after other people's pets.I had experienced house sitting and dog sitting for friends, so I thought I would put my experiences to good use and start house sitting professionally.CATS & IAs a child we always had a cat. Always a female & therefore I have experienced the birth (and care) of many kittens. As an adult I had two cats on separate occasions, Victoria and Adelaide. Victoria was baited and that was a horrific experience. The only thing that settled me was to go to the shelter to get another kitten. Adelaide approached us with her big meow.... no decision necessary. She lived a happy long life.TRUST AND COMMITMENTI have looked after many children, dogs, cats and the elderly in my career as a teacher, as a nanny, as personal carer and also as mother and grandmother. I have a great respect for life and all creatures and view life as a precious gift.I understand the services I need to provide as a house sitter, and these fit easily into the way I live my daily life.I have owned my own home and rented many others and have always left these homes as I found them or better. My main goals in life are: to do no harm, add joy where possible and to enjoy myself through trying new ways of living. That is why I feel house sitting is a great experience! Great for the home owner, who will receive peace of mind and excellent care for their home and pet/s. And great for my writing, providing new opportunities for me to meet more people and investigate 'the other side of the fence'.Looking forward to meeting you, being of service and building a relationship of mutual trust.KrystynaPs… please read my references, but contact details for references will be given only after we are close to agreeing on the house sit. I respect the privacy of all parties involved.
My name is Jesse (29, male). I'm from Melbourne and looking to house sit, long term and interstate, so I can get a break from the office and do some writing and exploring (preferably with pets).I will love your pet/s like they were my own and have a great understanding of animal behavior. I'm also one of those people that rolls around on the floor with your pooch and takes them on endless amounts of walks and park adventures. Cats and dogs are my preference, as I've been living with birds for 2 years and need a break.I'm currently road tripping up the east coast of Australia for the next year, so looking for interesting places to stop along the way.As I'm coming from interstate, I can guarantee the majority of time spent will be caring for your pet/s. I'm not looking for a party, but a peaceful and secluded adventure. I'm extremely clean, enjoy a bit of gardening and will keep you updated on house and/or pets. I'll also happily pick up any household items required, so you don't have to rush out for dog food when you get home.I also respect peoples privacy and will legitimately care for everything like it was my own.I don't care what's in your sock drawer or hidden box under the bed and will leave bedrooms closed for duration of stay, unless vacuuming the house or letting some fresh air in. I will happily sleep on my blow up mattress too. Current police check available. Please feel free to ask any questions.Extras:Hobbies: Animals, camping, films (writing/watching/filming) and AFL football.Work history: Melbourne Zoo, Department of Justice, Victoria Police, Department of Sustainability & Environment.(No idea why my photo is rotated after uploading, sorry)
I am a mature age house and pet sitter with a background of looking after country homes and gardens in Queensland...at Mitchell and Mapleton.I have worked in the Real Estate industry in Queensland and have had the responsibility of ensuring security of homes and properties in the absence of home owners.I love to travel and housesitting has resulted in two very successful recent house sitting assignments in New Zealand & Avalon, near Palm Beach, NSW.I have attached the references from these assignments.I would be delighted to introduce myself to you to discuss your specific requirements and instructions in detail. I will be able to supply more character references and housesitting references, on request.
