I am a mature, active, retired Registered Nurse from South Australia travelling around Australia, 'House Sitting' as a way of life in retirement.

I have spent 2 years in Tasmania, and 6 months in my home State of SA doing just this, and thoroughly enjoying the many different locations and experiences that go with such a journey.

I have a small 3-year-old dog who is well behaved, fully vaccinated and registered, called Raffi who travels everywhere with me.

Please feel free to contact me to check out dates.

Christina & Reiner

  • ACT, Sydney, Central Coast, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA

We are a responsible, trustworthy, non-smoking freelance/semi-retired couple with plenty of common sense, responsibility and reliability.
We are German born with Australian Permanent Residency/European Citizenship. We both held responsible positions in our careers. Reiner enjoyed a managing position for over 15 years at a renowned public health insurance in Duisburg and I was the managing director of an interior design company and the owner of a reputable home and giftware store with a number of employees in Sydney. We are currently enjoying some time-out and are possessed by the travel bug and welcome this alternate lifestyle of housesitting around the world. While Reiner has the freedom to pretty much enjoy the better things in life I would still like to take on some casual work in the area for a few hours per week depending on the housesit tasks. This way we have more time for ourselves and do the things we truly enjoy, we also have the flexibility to travel with or without our caravan (in Europe) and also do the things we really love doing, like walking, riding bicycles, yoga, meditation reading, cooking, crafting, listening to music..
As of lately we have been taking care of Reiners elderly parents but as things are stabilizing now and they are at good care we are ready to take off to new ventures, again.
We aim to take a professional approach to housesitting and would like to undertake a variety of housesit assignments around the world. We have many years of travel experience and are easily and quickly comfortable elsewhere. We would feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to housesit in different countries and experience their history and culture and learning a new language is always great fun. Housesitting enables us to experience diverse areas and cultures and getting to know the community we live in.
We have both been brought up surrounded by pets and they played a huge part of our life and they have been treated like family members. Our travelling lifestyle precludes us from having our own pets so we particularly love to spoil your beautiful two or four legged family members that we have entrusted to our care.
We have already had some positive experiences in the housesitting community and we would very much welcome the opportunity to sit for you. We are an open minded couple and our time traveling throughout Europe with our Caravan has been introducing us to our nomadic life style. We are not new to the concept of ‘house-sitting’ and regularly find ourselves taking care of the pets of our (camping) neighbours and spoiling their dogs and cats with cuddles or walk or sit them.
We feel that housesitting is home away from home. We look after everything as we would if the house was our own. We both own properties and have a good common sense of how and what to be taken care of. We have renovated our own properties and landscaped our gardens so we can put our hands to most things should the need arise in an emergency.
We know that it may be worrying for you to leave your pets and home; we are very conscious of this and we will make sure that we communicate regularly by e-mail, Skype or whatsapp to reassure you that all is well.
We recognize the importance of selecting the right house-sitters to look after your home, pets and garden. We are genuine animal lovers and having pets to look after is a pleasure for us. We are also house proud and we will keep your house and garden looking clean and tidy and maintained in good condition for your return.
We can provide police checks and any other information you may wish to know upon request. Happy to Skype also as an introduction and a way to get to know us more upfront.
Do contact us as we are always happy to discuss your individual house-sitting needs.

Kind regards,

Christina & Reiner

Hello,

We are a non-smoking, mature aged couple who will look after your home and pets as if they were your own. We are willing to travel to most areas of Australia. At the moment we are looking for a house-sit in NSW, Victoria or Q'ld, but are willing to consider/travel other states. We are experienced house sitters, having done many sits over recent years including many return requests.

Our reasons for house sitting are simple. It gives us the opportunity of seeing different parts of this beautiful country, and it also to gives us the opportunity to provide the home owner with peace of mind that their home and animal/s will be extremely well cared for, should we be granted that privilege.

We take pride in what we do, being both neat and tidy. We enjoy a quiet life, are very capable, employ common sense and take care of things the way we would hope some-one would do for us.

We have cared for many different animals, cats (many varieties including Ragdoll, Himalayan, Russian Blue, Birman, Burmese, Siamese, much loved long haired and short haired moggies, all with different personalities and requirements, some indoor only felines). We have cared for number dogs (Malamut-cross, Border Collie, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Staffy, Flatcoat Retriever, Labradoodle, Swiss Shepherd to name a few), fish, chickens and cows a herd of 20+. In recent times we can add sheep and goats. We have looked after suburban properties and rural/semi-rural with water tanks and septic systems, pumps and bio-cycles.

We can provide excellent references upon request. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi there, I'm a semi retired 50 something male (non smoker) who looks after people's pets and homes. I have had many happy clients, including lots of dogs and cats and horses and cows (see pics); I'm sure their owners are happy too.

I have many references from pet owners who you can speak to; including police personnel, doctors and business owners, so you can check my bona fides.

I have much rural experience and I'm rather handy with tractors, diggers, ride on lawn mowers, chainsaws and the like. Homes in my care have varied from farms to cute cottages to executive palaces and high security homes.

My preferences are northern rivers of NSW / sthn Queensland and the greater Sydney area, and now, Melbourne. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks :)

Available Victoria. 17-30 Nov 2019. 10-20 Dec 2019. 11 Jan- 28 Feb 2019.

Introduction

We are a mature and friendly retired couple, professional, practical and resilient in new situations, and look forward to new homes and pets to care for. We are non smokers, tidy, active, gardeners, and keen to explore new communities. We have already enjoyed 5 house and pet sits both in Australia and overseas with another organisation in the last year, with excellent references. We appreciate Happy House Sitters because it it has such a range of Australia wide clients, and is easy to access.
We would take care of your home and pets, as we would our own, and keep them safe and happy until you return.

Why we want to house sit

House and pet sitting is appealing because of the built in adventure and novelty of such diverse opportunities. We have enjoyed much travel in Australia and overseas, ship, caravan, camping, coast, desert and bush, but would look forward to the interest of connecting with the everyday life in new communities. Many sits give insight to the places less travelled, rather than big tourism locations, and Mike is a keen historian where ever we are.
0ur creatures are an essential part of life, but the extra additions to the 'family', "step grand-dogs,cats..and one day hopefully, alpacas!!'', will have all the love and care we can give in the allocated time!

What we bring to the assignment / relevant experience

We have lived in city and country, in town houses and on acreages, and had donkeys, dogs, cats, chooks, and sheep! Our experience in education, country and city communities, gardening, house repairs, and dealing with the emergencies of life, makes us useful Sitters! Having a good sense of humor helps too.We have police checks, and house sitting references.
We currently have an old beagle/terrier x, Maggie May, a dear rescue dog, who, as we speak, is snuffling her way through seaweed and beach sand! We love our entertaining chooks, and their produce! Harry the Cat sadly left us after 12 years of slothful existence!
Do contact us if your place and pets seem like a good match!

Brittnay & Jayden

Hello!

We are Brittnay & Jay, a professional house sitting couple. We both have a passion for animals and travelling. We have both been raised with family pets. However, since we have made the move to travelling and working remotely full time, we both really miss the interaction with animals.

We both feel strongly that pets are apart of your family and treated in such a respect. We have both grown up with an array of animals, so we firmly believe you can comfortably leave them in our capable loving company.

We love to go for walks every day, which would fit perfectly for people with active pets but also are homebodies so your pets will be able to someone to use as a comfy couch in evenings :)

We both work remotely, therefore we are able to be around the house more often hopefully putting your animals at ease with the company.

We enjoy gardening and keeping a tidy home is something we take pride in. We believe communication is key to providing a situation in which both parties are comfortable with the house sit.

We believe all our personal attributes and experiences can provide you with a fantastic service. We are happy to provide personal and police references. Please let us prove how helpful we can be.

Why we want to house sit
Growing up with cats, dogs, birds and fish as family pets we both have had animals close to us our entire lives. Over the past couple of years, we have been travelling and moving around fulltime. Moving around so much it is very hard for us to have pets of our own so we love house sitting because we can get pet interaction that we both really miss.

There is nothing we love more than snuggling up on the couch with a cat or dog, or going for a run along the beach with a dogs lead in hand!

Our Experience
We have completed six house sits over 2017 & 2018. These sits range from 1 weeks to 1 month. We have looked after everything from chihuahuas, new foundlands, turtles, cats & many chickens.

We have both had extensive interaction with animals growing up, including cats, dogs, fish and chickens. Both of us believe animals are apart of your family and are to be treated as such. We are both responsible and reliable individuals who guarantee your animals and property will be cared for to the highest standard. We like to have strong communication with owners, so both yourself and us feel comfortable at all times.

My wife and I own and operate an online business, established almost 8 years ago. The majority of our customers are world wide. As a result, we are permanent travelers, but need to be in Australia to visit with grand kids and assorted family! We are animal lovers, and recently gave away 2 fabulous cats to a good home. (Normally our sons look after the cats, but they all recently left the family home in New Zealand!) We now have good experience in house sitting, we are very responsible people, and would treat your home as we would ours, and the animals and garden would be treated the same. My wife is extremely house proud, and loves to potter about in the garden . She is an extremely organised person and she looks after the house and me very well! Kays Dad was in the 2000 Queens Honors List in New Zealand (R. J. SHARP ONZM, For services to Dairying), because he invented the herringbone milking shed in New Zealand in 1952. Only took 48 years to get recognised. We can provide good personal references. We are non smokers. Broadband or good internet access would be needed.

About me:
I am an experienced house and pet sitter that enjoys taking care of pets and seeing new places. I enjoy the opportunity and friendships that house sitting brings. I don’t have my own pets so I really enjoy spending time with the animals while house sitting. I am a trustworthy, responsible, clean and non-smoking Australian male (37). I have a lot of house and pet sitting experience. I am reliable, practical, and easy to get along with. Your pets and home will be extremely well looked after by a capable person. I am a serious house sitter, one that does what they say they will do.

I am currently completing my post graduate studies in Psychology. I have dedicated my career to helping people get through hard times and become the best version of themselves. I am off campus so I study from home and this allows for additional time with the pets and keeping an eye on the house. This is part of why I have decided to do house sitting. The other reason is that I really enjoy it! I enjoy the variety of living in new places and meeting new and interesting people such as you! House sitting provides an enjoyable and adventurous lifestyle for me.
I have a current national police security check. In my work I have gained security clearances at the highest level that have allowed me to work at government sites such as ports, airports, government offices and defence sites which you need to have a clean record to obtain. I hope this indicates to you my trustworthiness. I have my own car and am independent in my style of living.

Pets I have looked after:
I go above and beyond with pet care. I love all types of animals and have looked after almost everything you could find in a backyard. This includes mostly dogs, cats and budgies, but also parrots, stick-insects, lizards, snakes, horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, hermit crabs and even a tarantula! I do my best to not disrupt your pet’s routines so I feed them and walk them as close as possible to the same time that you do. I am happy to spend extra time with needy animals that get upset when their owners are away. I always make sure all pets eat enough each day. I also can administer medicines, worming tablets if need be. Any special dietary requirements are catered for and an extra walk or games no problem at all. In the case of an emergency, I will contact you and drive your pet immediately to your preferred vet.

I have looked after many rescue cats and understand they can sometimes need extra time and affection. From 2013-2015, I saved, reared and fostered 21 stray kittens at my house. They all were tamed, vaccinated, micro chipped, de-sexed and found happy homes!

Types of houses I have looked after:
I have experience looking after large multi storey homes with extensive gardens and pools, houses on acreage, normal size family homes and small apartments.

Extra things I can do:
If you like I am happy to send you email or text updates on the house and pets so that you know everything is ok and see how your furry friends are going.
Clean the pool if you have one.
Mow the lawn and water the gardens.
I will collect the mail every day and If you like I can forward you any important mail via email if you need me too.
Put out/bring in the garbage bins
Start car if needed to prevent battery going flat (please note I have my own car and would not drive yours).
I leave the house fully cleaned before you come back so that you arrive to a fresh tidy home. This includes the pool and gardens. I can also mow the lawn if you need it.
I can also pick up some groceries before you come home so you can take it easy when you arrive. Most people like to come home to fresh milk, bread and juice.

A quick note
I also prefer that we have a written agreement that outlines my duties with detailed instructions, vet contact, trusted person or family member contact (if you are overseas), authority to be in the house while your away (Id like it if the neighbours don’t think I am squatting in your house!) and any other things that may be needed to be carried out around the house.

I am happy to send you some references if you request.

If I sound like the type of house or pet sitter that you would like then please contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
Brett

About Me:

Greetings! I am Gina, a 51 y.o. Elementary Educator taking a sabbatical from teaching to write! Most recently, I taught at an international School in Chengdu, China. I am originally from Texas, USA, but have lived abroad most of the time for the last few decades. I can offer multiple references and a police background check. My integrity is well-earned, and I intend to maintain it!

I am currently committed through Nov. 9 caring for a delightful and energetic 7 mo. old sheperd mix in Melbourne, Australia. My Australian ETA visa extends through Aug 2020. My International Driver's License is on route from the US! I seek long-term caretaking of one-month minimum, with preference given to sits of 3 months or longer! :-) I like to be in one place to establish a relationship of trust and provide a sense of security for you and your animals... and write! I am happy to care for property, animals, gardens, lawn, and plants... any or all of the above!

In life, my animal companions have been dogs, cats, birds, fish, and reptiles. I still miss my (second) spunky Dalmatian, Chinnamasta Chai, who passed back in 2014. I have cared for horses, chickens, cats, dogs, ponies, homes, sailboats, and gardens. I've also fostered doggies.

My goal for 2019-20: Write, publish, and research, while I care for your animals and home and plants! I am a financially independent traveler. For the past few years, I have moved between countries too much to have an animal, so loving yours will fill my heart, which has a small emptiness from being without a pet!

I'm not a "partier", unless you count a glass or two of wine with Netflix or a book as "a party". :-) I do not smoke anything and do not engage in any drug use. I do drink wine occasionally, but in moderation. I like to be active and healthy: running, cycling, hiking, yoga, swimming, meditation, qigong. I truly enjoy quiet and solitude: farms, rural areas, ranches, mountains, etc. are quite appealing. I do enjoy the cultural offerings of cities as well, and really look forward to being in Melbourne. I've been traveling solo for years and enjoy this lifestyle. I'm a happy person, enjoying solitude to read and write, and balance that with social time. My motto is "Life is great", my life tenet is "Compassion to all", and my integrity and reputation are vitally important to me. I make friends where ever I go, so I'm never lonely. :-)

My previous careers have been as a SCUBA and Yoga Instructor in the Caribbean, Panama, and Florida. I still teach yoga and meditation. I have also sailed across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, and the Caribbean Sea in varying capacities of mate, watch captain, and chef. I taught ESL in Korea prior to becoming a licensed educator, and have also worked in the software and financial sectors. All of my work has involved a high level of trust and integrity (finance, working with children, teaching)! Oh yes, and for my 40th birthday, I bought myself a motorcycle as a present and rode it across the US! I have lived all over the contiguous US, and also in the Caribbean, Hawai'i, Panama, China, and South Korea. I have traveled some of Europe and India, and all over China and Eastern Tibet.

I really love learning about different cultures. When I am able, I like to stay in one place for several years to learn the language and immerse myself. Lately, I have been studying Tibetan history and the various tribes throughout China. Last summer, I spent one year in Kham Tibet, enjoying the people and culture, and making new friends. Kham is one of my favorite areas on the planet. I suppose my avocation is anthropology. I have been traveling around the Kham areas of Yunnan and Sichuan since July, doing some trekking, camping, and hiking.

I love SCUBA diving, swimming in the ocean, hiking, chess, cello, running, reading, writing, yoga, studying, learning, laughing, cooking, film, my friends, travel, adventure, challenging myself, and mornings.

Why I want to pet-sit/house-sit:

For years I have dreamt of taking some time off to write full-time. Always, the concern is living off savings and watching it dwindle; that little angst inside eats away at full enjoyment of time away. A friend of mine suggested pet/house-sitting years ago, and it just didn't click at the time. Now I realize, what a perfect fulfillment of needs on both sides! I get to spend my time writing in a quiet space, with new environs to explore, and "foster" animals and you get your home and animals cared for with much love!! Win-win! I am so grateful I learned about these opportunities!

My pet-sitting and house-sitting experience:

I have excellent references with phone numbers/email from the people I've pet/house-sat for previously (not through this site yet; I'm new to this site!); I am happy to share them! I also have excellent professional and personal references to offer, including landlord references! In fact, you can learn all about my professional experiences and view some of my reference letters online, in my virtual portfolio: www.ginajmcmurray.weebly.com

Further, I have a criminal background check from the USA, that has been notarized and authenticated by the Dept. of State. As an educator, we get frequent background checks, and for good reason!

How I care for your pets and your home:

I always build my schedule around the needs of your animals and gardens/plants. You can be assured that I will spend each night in your home, and not away from your animals! The rest of my day includes writing and research with breaks for hiking/walking/running/yoga/swimming. I love taking the dogs with me for long walks, several times per day, if allowed! I also enjoy cooking, so I spend time in the kitchen. I love plants and gardens, so am happy to care for those (I am very nature-inclined!)

With dogs, lots of play, walking, and exercise breaks! If I am caring for dogs, they get several walks/plays each day (I need a break from sitting, and love the outdoors!). I like large breeds and am very comfortable with them (I have had Dals, Boxers, Collies, Beagles, and mixed breeds). I enjoy learning about different breeds. When I settle down again, I want a Harlequin Great Dane! Cats get plenty of lap time. I can harness equines and lead them, unless they're pastured (I never ride without explicit permission). I also send pictures of your pets to you frequently, so you will feel secure in their happiness and health! I can easily learn about the care of any animal, and love them all!

I have experience taking care of "special needs" animals with quirky attitudes and daily medicine. Having had two Dalmatians, a breed which has protein restrictions due to potential kidney stones, I always cooked for them! We both enjoyed a vegetarian diet (except Chai got to eat fish!). I have studied dog obedience training and behavior, though I am not expert. During one pet sitting job, I took care of a bipolar cat on meds. At another housesit/pet sit, I cared for 4 horses, 2 ponies (one on meds), 12 chickens, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a 1/4 acre vegetable/flower garden on a hundred acre ranch. I also cared for a home with 8 dogs (1 blind, 1 crippled, 1 semi-feral). I love animals!!

I tend toward the "OCD" side of organization and cleanliness, so you can expect your home to look the same or better upon your return! Not only that, but being born and raised in Texas, I was inculcated with manners, hospitality, and respect for others. I don't mind rural or isolated areas as I like to walk or bicycle, happily plodding into town for food every few days. But I must have internet access! :-) I am comfortable hailing a ride with passersby into a local village, walking, cycling, or riding a scooter/motorcycle (have ridden motorcycles for 20+ yrs.). If I'm within a few km of a local village, I don't mind walking. I can also rent a scooter or motorcycle, depending on local laws. I prefer not to rent a car unless I absolutely must; although this topic would be a great discussion point if your property is extremely rural or snowbound. I am realistic and flexible!

I love to explore new environments, hike around, or sit in a coffee shop. I enjoy the beach and the mountains.

If you have any questions, please ask! I look forward to visiting your area and caring for your animals, plants, and home!

Sincerely, Gina

Julie

Hi, my name is Julie. I am a happy, healthy semi-retired animal lover, who is mature and reliable. I own a small business that I run from my desktop. As a house sitter, this means that I can provide a constant presence to watch over your home and give your pets the same company, care and attention that you would yourself. I am available to sit right across Australia.

In addition to running my own small business, I have also managed a faculty across three campuses and been a busy travel agent and tour guide in my working life. Employers have entrusted me with valuable assets, large sums of money and the well-being of other people. I am reliable, trustworthy and well organised; mature but young at heart.

At home, I keep a very tidy house. I actually enjoy the comfortable routines of housekeeping and seeing the house look as neat as a pin. I never move anything, I am very respectful of a homeowner's space. When you return, you'll find everything just as you left it.

In addition to taking good care of home and beloved pets, I am happy to look after mail, provide regular updates and all the other things that will give you peace of mind while you are away. I keep in touch regularly by sending messages and pics of your little ones, as any of my referees will attest. I love gardening, am handy with a mower and all the day to day maintenance needed to keep outdoor areas looking great.

I am free to travel on flexible dates and take up long or short assignments.
I am health conscious without being obsessive, enjoy exercise and am a non smoker.
I have a police check and references. You will be able to call and verify references. These contacts can be provided on request.

"Julie looked after our house, our old blue heeler, our cat and 3 chooks for around two weeks whilst we were overseas in March 2015. We came home to a lovely clean house and very happy and well looked after pets. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Julie and would certainly love her to look after our house again" - Sharon Vincent Batemans Bay NSW 2536

I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements. I do have references on this site, from previous happy pet owners. Hope we can assist each other ..

Active, healthy non smoking couple - social drinkers only - aged 69. Self employed prior to retiring with a background in family farming followed by tourism when we owned and ran holiday accommodation for ten years where cleanliness was of prime importance. Our business consisted of 10 cottages and 3 acres of grounds and garden which we maintained ourselves.

Wide interests including interior decorating, gardening, reading, music, natural history, bush walking, travel, and how life ticks in general! Since retiring, we are keen to see more of our great country and would love to come to your part of the world and would consider it a privilege to care for your home.

What we offer:
Lifelong experience with and love of all animals. We have always had a variety of pets as well as caring for the farm animals. Enjoy gardening and happy to care for your garden as well as pets. Experienced in general repairs and maintenance if the necessity arises.
Having always owned our own home (except for renting for 15 months following the sale of our business and whilst considering our options), we understand the importance of having someone trustworthy and reliable to care for and maintain and care for your home and pets. We have now been house sitting for over 6 years and looked after 50 homes and various animals.

Happy to provide references and Police clearance.

Helpful Happy House Sitters

Hello!
We understand that leaving your home and animals in the care of house sitters for extended periods can be very stressful, but we can assure you that your home and extended family will be treated with kind and loving hands.

We are a middle aged couple whom sold our restaurant business and are now travelling this wonderful country of ours, and would like to offer our services to house sit your home while you do whatever your need or want to do elsewhere.

Bobbie owned and operated a small animal refuge in the USA before coming to Australia and we would welcome looking after your own beloved pets if you so need.

We also have farm sitting experience involving the care of horses, sheep, chooks, galahs, geese and turkey's.

Also, Bobbie has been a house cleaner both in the USA and in Australia. She worked for a well known Dr and his family in Brisbane over 4+ years.

We are clean and respectful and would treat your home the same as we would our own, treating your home as a home should be treated.

We will do any house cleaning or garden duties required while you are gone, if you wish, to maintain a nice clean home, ready for your return.

Bret is experienced in pool maintenance as we had an inground pool at our previous home for many years.

I have been housesitting on and off for over 20 years yet currently taking this year off from full-time work and house sitting. When I owned my home we had 2 x dogs, 2 x cats and 2 x birds and a community of different Aquarium fish. I have my National Police Clearance and check out my facebook page "your place for pets". My services include live in duties, daily walks, watering gardens and confident in applying medication when required. I've paid to register on this site to fill in the gaps and help out where I can. I really enjoy it and I love animals and the beautiful energy and character that they share with me. Its a privilege to be graced by each one I meet and care for them for you.

Marisse.

Hello homeowners, I have relocated to Adelaide to take up housesitting full time.
Many of my sits over the last three years have been with and through friends and personal referrals.
I have excellent rental references from my past rentals and a National Police Clearance.
I am a healthy, clean living non smoker. I enjoy walking and love to be outdoors gardening or alternatively, curled up with a good book and an animal or two for company.

Zia & Danielle

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC

We are an experienced house & pet-sitting couple in our 30s (one from AU and one from UK) who love nature, tech, travel and animals. Danielle is a vet nurse - an amazing asset for taking care of your animals! She is currently on a career break, training in Reiki & wellness with the aim of opening a wellness centre. Zia works mostly from home in tech - ideal for animals who love company.

We are mature, responsible, pretty quiet and enjoy nothing more than a long walk, discovering new things, enjoying the outdoors or a good movie. We are both active non-smoking vegans and like to keep things clean & tidy. Zia owns a home in the UK and knows first hand how important it is to keep a home and pets in order.
We both love animals of all shapes and sizes and have extensive experience taking care of them. Your pets will always have company and cuddles. We have no children and no pets currently (although have had everything from cats & dogs to birds, horses & goats in the past). No sit is too long or too short.

We like to keep fit, so daily walks are always guaranteed. And always happy to venture out for adventures to park walks or the beach. We have our own car so getting around isn't an issue.

We are currently house sitting a family friend's (no pets so we are able to go elsewhere when we like - but we really miss having animals!) while we save for our own place and like to go to different areas for something different and explore areas we might like to buy.

We are very respectful and leave any home as we found it and spotless. We are happy to do a face-to-face meet if in VIC beforehand or a video chat if you would like to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible with us taking care of your home & pets.

All animals in the pictures are our own past pets.

References are also available.

Bruce & Inez

  • NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA

Bruce and Inez are a friendly, engaging couple of animal lovers with an unquenchable sense of adventure. You can rest assured your pets will be well taken care of, Bruce actually wanted to be a Vet when he was growing up, so caring for your pets while you get away for a while will be a pleasure. Who wants to put their family in a Kennel after all?

Bruce is a responsible I.T. Professional who works from home 80% of the time, grew up on a farm, good with animals and a practical handyman.

Inez is a Doctor's daughter, qualified teacher and interpreter who grew up in Dublin, great with people, loves a chat and keeping busy. Believe it or not, Inez actually finds ironing therapeutic

We have both travelled extensively and continue to do so as this is a lifelong passion! One of the reasons we enjoy house sitting is that it gives us an opportunity to explore more of Australia! Bruce can work from anywhere as long as he has electricity and internet coverage.

We look forward to being your next house sitter!

  • NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA

Jan and I have been married for 26 years, we live in Bayside Melbourne, we have two sons (19 & 21) and a little schnauzer called Ozzy. We love dogs and cats.
Originally from the UK, we moved here 7 years ago and will shortly be Australian citizens.
I work in IT and Jan is a hospital administrator.
We like travelling and visiting different places both in Australia and abroad.
We have never been a house sitter before but thought we would try it out. We are building a new home in Macedon region and would like to experience living in the area before we move here in 12 months time.
We are in our fifties, non-smokers, clean and tidy people.
We can supply character references if required.

I am an experienced house sitter and animal lover who treats people's home and pets as if they were my own. I am always respectful, clean, and will shower your animal with so much love. Yes, I'm one of those people that will run up to your dog on the street for a pat :p I own my own environmental business which I operate online, so work from home which means lots of walks and cuddles for your pets. I live a quiet and peaceful life and love nothing more than relaxing with a good book. I always grew up with animals, and have experience looking after dogs, cats, rabbits, birds/chickens & turtles. I own a toy poodle named Lola who is the most intelligent, loving little girl. Lola stays at the family home whilst I do any housesits that don't allow outside pets, so no problem if your pet prefers their own company. I am a competent gardener if I may say so myself, and love looking after plants. I'm a non smoker, vegetarian who lives a healthy lifestyle. I'm single, so you can rest assured that it will just be me in your space. I have multiple positive references from previous sits available upon request. Happy to meet up for a chat! :)

How I help you have a stress free time away from home...

- I keep your animals in the routine they are accustomed to so that they don't fret whilst you are away.
- I'll send you photos of our adventures together and send as many updates as you require.
- I will bring your mail in, water your plants, and keep your space spotlessly clean.
- I have multiple positive references so you can rest assured that your space is in good hands.
- Most of all I am a massive animal lover who adores cuddles, so your pet will honestly feel so secure and loved whilst you are away.
- I do pet sitting and house sitting professionally full time, each sit means a lot to me, and I consider it a great honour to look after your space & your pets.

Can't wait to meet you and your fur babies :)

I Understand the Value of a Great House & Pet Sitter as I was a FORMER HOST MYSELF FOR 6yr as a HOME & PET OWNER

Introduction
Hello - I am at a time of life where I am available to be the brilliant house and pet sitter you are looking for. I am a single professional, self-employed Australian with two adult sons (pursuing their own careers). With few family demands, I no longer need to be based in one location. I enjoy the freedom that house sitting offers where I can be a devoted animal lover to other people's pets while enjoying your location. Being agile and moving to different cities suits my Internet based (email traffic, not heavy downloads) work very well and as I have lived in almost all of Australia's capitals & various cities overseas, I am very much at home wherever I am.
I will consider any sit with a preference for long house sits (3-12months). I am open to being in any location, city or region…here are some of my favourites: NZ, NYC, Spain, Malta, Central America, Chile, most countries in Europe. I am self employed as a facilitator, business growth specialist and internet business mentor. I conduct my work 'virtually' via the Internet & Skype. This means I can work anywhere as long as I have fast, reliable Internet & phone reception. Both are critical requirements for me to sit for you. I always try to meet you in person where possible and certainly via Skype in all other cases. It's paramount for you and for me that we understand and respect expectations of one another and that your home and pets have the care you are entitled to.

Why I Want to House Sit
Through past house sitting experience & as a home & pets owner with my own regular house sitter for 6yr, I recognise the value of house sitting to pet lovers & security for your home while giving me flexibility & variety in lifestyle. I have travelled extensively over the years and am resourceful and socially inclusive. Your pets and home will receive my responsible and loving attention and I will be proactive by staying in touch to keep you informed about how everything is going without being a burden. You can learn more about me via my LinkedIn and business websites which I'd be happy to send you, along with my CV, biography and character referees, for information. I live simply and cleanly and will be very respectful of your home, belongings, security and privacy. I don't own a car anymore, so, I’d welcome the use of a car if possible please, especially for overseas or remote/ distance house sits.

My Experience
I promise warmth, openness, transparency and genuine care of your pet family and your home. My 'home based' work allows me to offer a strong presence & companionship for your home & pets. I have been an Australian Army Officer with a top secret positive vet security clearance (21yr), consultant to most Australian Commonwealth Govt departments and 3yrs as deputy chair and director Crime Stoppers & National Trust boards. I'm presently an 'Angel' with the Pyjama Angel Foundation. I pride myself on maintaining high integrity, sound judgement, balance, reliability and being a proactive communicator. I'm also very loving and gentle with animals. You can depend on me to keep you informed and to make decisions about your pets and home with your priorities in mind. I am comfortable with all types of animals and those with special needs. I will reach out to people in your immediate community network, as advised by you, if needed. I've been a home owner for 30+yr, an animal lover for life and I know the value of a quality house sitter. I've had the joy of 6yrs experience as a host to my own house sitter, so I fully understand and respect the responsibility that comes with this position.

My aim is to give you absolute peace-of-mind while you are absent while having a cost effective home solution for myself (as a 'local'!) in a new environment. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet family. My previous hosts are all happy to chat with you and I can email you their references if you wish. Wherever possible, if I am in your city, I will always try to meet with you and your pets in advance of the sit so we know that 'everyone' is comfortable. Warmly, Lisa

NOTE: It's always worth checking in with me in case I am free due to hosts' change of plans. I like to make contact in advance with potential hosts so we can see if we're a fit (for your pets, you & me) in advance of a future sit. Let's chat!

Retired couple who have had extensive house sits in Victoria and Queensland.
Good references available and because we are volunteers at our local hospital, we have police checks, as is mandatory for all hospital staff.
Indeed, we have been asked to return sit by hosts on a number of occasions.

We are active in golf and badminton and live a healthy, non smoking lifestyle. Any dog-walking is considered a pleasure, not a chore.
Past hosts have commented positively on the way we have left their home and garden. Importantly, we always turn up on time and have never cancelled a commitment.

Hi!!!

I'm a 34 yo Graphic Designer who has been freelancing running my small business for the last 5 years.

In a sea of pet sitting profiles, I decided to use a sense of humor with my one - I hope it makes you smile :)

I can work anywhere there is a wifi connection (or I can bring my own, no problems).

So this means your pets will always have company and cuddles.

I have no children and no pets and am a completely free agent. No sit is too long or too short.

I like to keep fit, so daily walks are always guaranteed. And always happy to venture out on the weekends for adventures to park walks or the beach.

I have my own car so getting around isn't an issue.

A Gippsland girl at heart - I have always been brought up in a household full of animals - whether it's dogs, cats, fish, bunnies, cows, donkeys, chickens - you name it.

I'll look after it. I love to listen to music and cook. I love to read and pursue my business/passion projects - so you'll always find me behind my mac most nights.

I love hiking and getting outdoors. I don't smoke and like to have the occasional glass of red.

I would really love to have a pet of my own - but as I am renting this isn't possible. So I'd love to look after yours.

My friends even bought me a french bulldog pillow to fill the void- I've called him George and he currently guards my couch.

My rental is has 3 balconies full of plants so am happy to be your green thumb too. I treat and respect my house like my own and have always had long-term rentals of 5+ years, with full back and front yards. I was always the gardener in the household and a lot of pride in presentation and cleanliness.

I have been criticised for being too clean - so I'll make sure your home is in the same condition as you left it.

Happy to always meet face to face before you go away for a coffee.

I think petsitting is a great way to experience different areas of Victoria.

It's also a great way to meet fellow animal lovers like myself and as a barefoot investor, I think this is a great way to save for those financial goals.

If this sounds like we match - let's get in touch. Go and enjoy yourself while you are away and I'll take care of the rest!

We are a senior couple, honest reliable and hard working. I was a high school teacher for 30 years and have taught in cities, small towns and remote areas all over Australia and am now wishing to further extend my explorations of our beautiful country. We are non smokers, fit healthy and active, enjoy gardening and love animals and very community minded.
I believe in sharing resources, skills and experiences, that honesty and simple Aussie hospitality is still alive and well. I believe in trust and giving a helping hand. I keep a neat and very tidy home, enjoy home baking, meeting people, walking, reading and generally enjoy a peaceful and active lifestyle.

We are a retired, non-smoking, quiet living couple.

We are well-traveled and when we stay in a property anywhere in the world we look after it properly and leave it in very good order, clean and tidy.

Although we are UK based we are always looking for opportunities to stay in Australia.
We have considerable experience of house/pet sitting with cats mainly, but also with other small animals, here in the UK and in Australia. We also had cats for over 35 years!
We have, of course got references and a police check.

18/01/2019 WE ARE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE FOR SHORT PERIOD
