Welcome to my profile,
I have been house-sitting continuously for nearly 4 years and have had the pleasure of looking after more than 50 homes and 200 pets in that time; including cats, dogs, chickens, horses, goats, ducks, fish and emus.

Frequent updates (including photos) are sent to homeowners, allowing you to relax and enjoy your holiday knowing that all is well with your pets and your home. I also provide all of my own consumables, bedding, towels, cookware etc, basically everything except for the kitchen sink. Upon your return you will find your home just as clean as when you left.

I am a non-smoker and am more than happy to provide a police clearance and references.

Christina & Reiner

  • ACT, Sydney, Central Coast, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA

We are a responsible, trustworthy, non-smoking freelance/semi-retired couple with plenty of common sense, responsibility and reliability.
We are German born with Australian Permanent Residency/European Citizenship. We both held responsible positions in our careers. Reiner enjoyed a managing position for over 15 years at a renowned public health insurance in Duisburg and I was the managing director of an interior design company and the owner of a reputable home and giftware store with a number of employees in Sydney. We are currently enjoying some time-out and are possessed by the travel bug and welcome this alternate lifestyle of housesitting around the world. While Reiner has the freedom to pretty much enjoy the better things in life I would still like to take on some casual work in the area for a few hours per week depending on the housesit tasks. This way we have more time for ourselves and do the things we truly enjoy, we also have the flexibility to travel with or without our caravan (in Europe) and also do the things we really love doing, like walking, riding bicycles, yoga, meditation reading, cooking, crafting, listening to music..
As of lately we have been taking care of Reiners elderly parents but as things are stabilizing now and they are at good care we are ready to take off to new ventures, again.
We aim to take a professional approach to housesitting and would like to undertake a variety of housesit assignments around the world. We have many years of travel experience and are easily and quickly comfortable elsewhere. We would feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to housesit in different countries and experience their history and culture and learning a new language is always great fun. Housesitting enables us to experience diverse areas and cultures and getting to know the community we live in.
We have both been brought up surrounded by pets and they played a huge part of our life and they have been treated like family members. Our travelling lifestyle precludes us from having our own pets so we particularly love to spoil your beautiful two or four legged family members that we have entrusted to our care.
We have already had some positive experiences in the housesitting community and we would very much welcome the opportunity to sit for you. We are an open minded couple and our time traveling throughout Europe with our Caravan has been introducing us to our nomadic life style. We are not new to the concept of ‘house-sitting’ and regularly find ourselves taking care of the pets of our (camping) neighbours and spoiling their dogs and cats with cuddles or walk or sit them.
We feel that housesitting is home away from home. We look after everything as we would if the house was our own. We both own properties and have a good common sense of how and what to be taken care of. We have renovated our own properties and landscaped our gardens so we can put our hands to most things should the need arise in an emergency.
We know that it may be worrying for you to leave your pets and home; we are very conscious of this and we will make sure that we communicate regularly by e-mail, Skype or whatsapp to reassure you that all is well.
We recognize the importance of selecting the right house-sitters to look after your home, pets and garden. We are genuine animal lovers and having pets to look after is a pleasure for us. We are also house proud and we will keep your house and garden looking clean and tidy and maintained in good condition for your return.
We can provide police checks and any other information you may wish to know upon request. Happy to Skype also as an introduction and a way to get to know us more upfront.
Do contact us as we are always happy to discuss your individual house-sitting needs.

Kind regards,

Christina & Reiner

23 November 2017 To whom it may concern Re: Monica from Margaret River as house sitter As you are aware leaving one’s home and pets in the care of someone you don’t know is rather daunting, risky and worrying. Monica house sat for us from 2-20 November 2017 and I was delighted with the care she took of our dog and our home. I returned to find a well exercised happy dog, the house looking immaculate, that garden watered, the sheets washed, beds made up with fresh linen, and vases filled with flowers from the garden. I was delighted. I would not hesitate to recommend Monica as a mature, reliable and conscientious house sitter and would be very happy to be contacted to verify this reference. I would also not hesitate to ask her to house sit again if she is available next year. Brittnay & Jayden

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA

Hello!

We are Brittnay & Jay, a professional house sitting couple. We both have a passion for animals and travelling. We have both been raised with family pets. However, since we have made the move to travelling and working remotely full time, we both really miss the interaction with animals.

We both feel strongly that pets are apart of your family and treated in such a respect. We have both grown up with an array of animals, so we firmly believe you can comfortably leave them in our capable loving company.

We love to go for walks every day, which would fit perfectly for people with active pets but also are homebodies so your pets will be able to someone to use as a comfy couch in evenings :)

We both work remotely, therefore we are able to be around the house more often hopefully putting your animals at ease with the company.

We enjoy gardening and keeping a tidy home is something we take pride in. We believe communication is key to providing a situation in which both parties are comfortable with the house sit.

We believe all our personal attributes and experiences can provide you with a fantastic service. We are happy to provide personal and police references. Please let us prove how helpful we can be.

Why we want to house sit
Growing up with cats, dogs, birds and fish as family pets we both have had animals close to us our entire lives. Over the past couple of years, we have been travelling and moving around fulltime. Moving around so much it is very hard for us to have pets of our own so we love house sitting because we can get pet interaction that we both really miss.

There is nothing we love more than snuggling up on the couch with a cat or dog, or going for a run along the beach with a dogs lead in hand!

Our Experience
We have completed six house sits over 2017 & 2018. These sits range from 1 weeks to 1 month. We have looked after everything from chihuahuas, new foundlands, turtles, cats & many chickens.

We have both had extensive interaction with animals growing up, including cats, dogs, fish and chickens. Both of us believe animals are apart of your family and are to be treated as such. We are both responsible and reliable individuals who guarantee your animals and property will be cared for to the highest standard. We like to have strong communication with owners, so both yourself and us feel comfortable at all times.

I am a retired lady who has 6 children and 13 grandchildren.l have come off a farm life style of 16 years. Breeding sheep for 14 years was a great experience. After 30 years of being in the country my life style has returned me to Melbourne . I am a non smoker a tidy person and respectful of people and their property. I like new experiences everyday. Hi,

We are Alison & Vardon and we will travelling Australia from mid 2018

so if we reply to your message we will be genuinely interested.

We will be travelling in our 8m motorhome with our two Jack Russell`s

Jeddah & Riley, we will be more than comfortable in our own rig,

however a reasonably level parking area and the ability to connect a power

lead & hose and access to laundry & bathroom is all we need, should you prefer us to stay in your house that will be just fine as well.

We will be leasing our home on the NSW Central Coast and understand the

anxiety of having the right people in your home whilst your away.

We are both in our mid 50`s and are active, love all animals and don`t have a

problem with caring for livestock if required, we are both keen gardeners if

some property maintenance is necessary.

I have been a self employed tradesman most of my working life & Alison has

been in office administration for a local business for the past 27 years and we

are now looking forward to "living the dream" and offer our assistance, so

rest assured the greatest of care will be given to your animals & property.

Police checks are available.

Kind Regards,

Vardon & Alison

My wife and I own and operate an online business, established almost 8 years ago. The majority of our customers are world wide. As a result, we are permanent travelers, but need to be in Australia to visit with grand kids and assorted family! We are animal lovers, and recently gave away 2 fabulous cats to a good home. (Normally our sons look after the cats, but they all recently left the family home in New Zealand!) We now have good experience in house sitting, we are very responsible people, and would treat your home as we would ours, and the animals and garden would be treated the same. My wife is extremely house proud, and loves to potter about in the garden . She is an extremely organised person and she looks after the house and me very well! Kays Dad was in the 2000 Queens Honors List in New Zealand (R. J. SHARP ONZM, For services to Dairying), because he invented the herringbone milking shed in New Zealand in 1952. Only took 48 years to get recognised. We can provide good personal references. We are non smokers. Broadband or good internet access would be needed.

Michael, retired graphic artist 62 and Judy, retired schoolteacher 56. We have owned our own homes and have had small and large pets for the majority of our married lives so we understand why you want your home properly maintained, and your pets looked after. We sold our home in Noosa Heads in November last year and have been house sitting and travelling since, with plans to continue until we feel the need to settle again. We currently have no pets and are empty nesters. We have had experience house sitting, and are both active people. Michael still surfs and we both enjoy walking, cycling, and travelling to new places. Michael requires internet access as he still does some part time work from home.

Hi, We are a couple 69 and 63. We have recently retired and have already done a number of house sits on Magnetic island and in the Brisbane area also as far south as Port Macquarie. We have enjoyed it immensely, we now would like to get more into house sitting to see more of this wonderful country. Our house sitting preference at this time would be Queensland or Northern NSW, however we are looking at all states.
We have lived in our own house in Coffs Harbour for 40 years. We are a very stable couple who pride ourselves on looking after other peoples houses and animals the same as we look after our own.
Although we have not had any dogs or cats at home we do have quite a bit of experience with animals, looking after many different kinds during the house sitting jobs that we have previously done. Spencer has also worked at an animal park for 40 years.
We have bred birds as a hobby for the last 10 years.
We are sure your house and animals would be in good hands with us looking after it while you are away.
We are both non-smokers and enjoy the outdoors. References are available.
Please call us to discuss any needs you may have.

If you are looking for experienced, responsible sitters it would be great to hear from you.
We are a retired Canadian couple and our daughter lives in Manly. For the last seven, we have spent most of your summer in the Sydney area. Part of our visits have included house and pet sitting.
We are currently renovating a cottage in rural Ontario, Canada. Our passion has been to build or renovate our homes. One of these homes was a farm with a small flock of sheep and various other livestock and pets.
Suzanne is a retired registered nurse and Larry a retired firefighter. Our activities include yoga, hiking, cooking and travel. We are responsible, active folks who would care for your home and pet(s) as if they were our own.

I am a mature, single woman who is a retired teacher/trainer currently volunteering 2 days a week in Perth which leaves me time to look after your pet, home and garden. I am an experienced sitter, non-smoker, clean and tidy and enjoy a quiet life, pottering about in the garden, reading, pilates and the occassional swim. We always had cats, dogs and other small domestic animals in the house when the children lived at home and i have a little experience with horses and goats.
I moved to Perth (from the UK) nearly 10 years ago and have been living with my family (including the beautiful Sheila, the family staffy, 3 chickens, 2 guinea pigs and a rabbit) but now need to move on. I house and pet sat for friends and work colleagues in the UK and was often called upon to care for my brothers' 'boys' i.e. his 3 labrador dogs. I have also looked after a family friends' house here in Perth and her 2 very lively jack Russell dogs and now have several successful housesits behind me.
I can supply both professional and personal references and have police clearance

Gina

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA

About Me:

Greetings! I am Gina, a 51 y.o. Elementary Educator taking a sabbatical from teaching to write! Most recently, I taught at an international School in Chengdu, China. I am originally from Texas, USA, but have lived abroad most of the time for the last few decades. I can offer multiple references and a police background check. My integrity is well-earned, and I intend to maintain it!

I am currently committed through Nov. 9 caring for a delightful and energetic 7 mo. old sheperd mix in Melbourne, Australia. My Australian ETA visa extends through Aug 2020. My International Driver's License is on route from the US! I seek long-term caretaking of one-month minimum, with preference given to sits of 3 months or longer! :-) I like to be in one place to establish a relationship of trust and provide a sense of security for you and your animals... and write! I am happy to care for property, animals, gardens, lawn, and plants... any or all of the above!

In life, my animal companions have been dogs, cats, birds, fish, and reptiles. I still miss my (second) spunky Dalmatian, Chinnamasta Chai, who passed back in 2014. I have cared for horses, chickens, cats, dogs, ponies, homes, sailboats, and gardens. I've also fostered doggies.

My goal for 2019-20: Write, publish, and research, while I care for your animals and home and plants! I am a financially independent traveler. For the past few years, I have moved between countries too much to have an animal, so loving yours will fill my heart, which has a small emptiness from being without a pet!

I'm not a "partier", unless you count a glass or two of wine with Netflix or a book as "a party". :-) I do not smoke anything and do not engage in any drug use. I do drink wine occasionally, but in moderation. I like to be active and healthy: running, cycling, hiking, yoga, swimming, meditation, qigong. I truly enjoy quiet and solitude: farms, rural areas, ranches, mountains, etc. are quite appealing. I do enjoy the cultural offerings of cities as well, and really look forward to being in Melbourne. I've been traveling solo for years and enjoy this lifestyle. I'm a happy person, enjoying solitude to read and write, and balance that with social time. My motto is "Life is great", my life tenet is "Compassion to all", and my integrity and reputation are vitally important to me. I make friends where ever I go, so I'm never lonely. :-)

My previous careers have been as a SCUBA and Yoga Instructor in the Caribbean, Panama, and Florida. I still teach yoga and meditation. I have also sailed across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, and the Caribbean Sea in varying capacities of mate, watch captain, and chef. I taught ESL in Korea prior to becoming a licensed educator, and have also worked in the software and financial sectors. All of my work has involved a high level of trust and integrity (finance, working with children, teaching)! Oh yes, and for my 40th birthday, I bought myself a motorcycle as a present and rode it across the US! I have lived all over the contiguous US, and also in the Caribbean, Hawai'i, Panama, China, and South Korea. I have traveled some of Europe and India, and all over China and Eastern Tibet.

I really love learning about different cultures. When I am able, I like to stay in one place for several years to learn the language and immerse myself. Lately, I have been studying Tibetan history and the various tribes throughout China. Last summer, I spent one year in Kham Tibet, enjoying the people and culture, and making new friends. Kham is one of my favorite areas on the planet. I suppose my avocation is anthropology. I have been traveling around the Kham areas of Yunnan and Sichuan since July, doing some trekking, camping, and hiking.

I love SCUBA diving, swimming in the ocean, hiking, chess, cello, running, reading, writing, yoga, studying, learning, laughing, cooking, film, my friends, travel, adventure, challenging myself, and mornings.

Why I want to pet-sit/house-sit:

For years I have dreamt of taking some time off to write full-time. Always, the concern is living off savings and watching it dwindle; that little angst inside eats away at full enjoyment of time away. A friend of mine suggested pet/house-sitting years ago, and it just didn't click at the time. Now I realize, what a perfect fulfillment of needs on both sides! I get to spend my time writing in a quiet space, with new environs to explore, and "foster" animals and you get your home and animals cared for with much love!! Win-win! I am so grateful I learned about these opportunities!

My pet-sitting and house-sitting experience:

I have excellent references with phone numbers/email from the people I've pet/house-sat for previously (not through this site yet; I'm new to this site!); I am happy to share them! I also have excellent professional and personal references to offer, including landlord references! In fact, you can learn all about my professional experiences and view some of my reference letters online, in my virtual portfolio: www.ginajmcmurray.weebly.com

Further, I have a criminal background check from the USA, that has been notarized and authenticated by the Dept. of State. As an educator, we get frequent background checks, and for good reason!

How I care for your pets and your home:

I always build my schedule around the needs of your animals and gardens/plants. You can be assured that I will spend each night in your home, and not away from your animals! The rest of my day includes writing and research with breaks for hiking/walking/running/yoga/swimming. I love taking the dogs with me for long walks, several times per day, if allowed! I also enjoy cooking, so I spend time in the kitchen. I love plants and gardens, so am happy to care for those (I am very nature-inclined!)

With dogs, lots of play, walking, and exercise breaks! If I am caring for dogs, they get several walks/plays each day (I need a break from sitting, and love the outdoors!). I like large breeds and am very comfortable with them (I have had Dals, Boxers, Collies, Beagles, and mixed breeds). I enjoy learning about different breeds. When I settle down again, I want a Harlequin Great Dane! Cats get plenty of lap time. I can harness equines and lead them, unless they're pastured (I never ride without explicit permission). I also send pictures of your pets to you frequently, so you will feel secure in their happiness and health! I can easily learn about the care of any animal, and love them all!

I have experience taking care of "special needs" animals with quirky attitudes and daily medicine. Having had two Dalmatians, a breed which has protein restrictions due to potential kidney stones, I always cooked for them! We both enjoyed a vegetarian diet (except Chai got to eat fish!). I have studied dog obedience training and behavior, though I am not expert. During one pet sitting job, I took care of a bipolar cat on meds. At another housesit/pet sit, I cared for 4 horses, 2 ponies (one on meds), 12 chickens, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a 1/4 acre vegetable/flower garden on a hundred acre ranch. I also cared for a home with 8 dogs (1 blind, 1 crippled, 1 semi-feral). I love animals!!

I tend toward the "OCD" side of organization and cleanliness, so you can expect your home to look the same or better upon your return! Not only that, but being born and raised in Texas, I was inculcated with manners, hospitality, and respect for others. I don't mind rural or isolated areas as I like to walk or bicycle, happily plodding into town for food every few days. But I must have internet access! :-) I am comfortable hailing a ride with passersby into a local village, walking, cycling, or riding a scooter/motorcycle (have ridden motorcycles for 20+ yrs.). If I'm within a few km of a local village, I don't mind walking. I can also rent a scooter or motorcycle, depending on local laws. I prefer not to rent a car unless I absolutely must; although this topic would be a great discussion point if your property is extremely rural or snowbound. I am realistic and flexible!

I love to explore new environments, hike around, or sit in a coffee shop. I enjoy the beach and the mountains.

If you have any questions, please ask! I look forward to visiting your area and caring for your animals, plants, and home!

Sincerely, Gina

Julie

Hi, my name is Julie. I am a happy, healthy semi-retired animal lover, who is mature and reliable. I own a small business that I run from my desktop. As a house sitter, this means that I can provide a constant presence to watch over your home and give your pets the same company, care and attention that you would yourself. I am available to sit right across Australia.

In addition to running my own small business, I have also managed a faculty across three campuses and been a busy travel agent and tour guide in my working life. Employers have entrusted me with valuable assets, large sums of money and the well-being of other people. I am reliable, trustworthy and well organised; mature but young at heart.

At home, I keep a very tidy house. I actually enjoy the comfortable routines of housekeeping and seeing the house look as neat as a pin. I never move anything, I am very respectful of a homeowner's space. When you return, you'll find everything just as you left it.

In addition to taking good care of home and beloved pets, I am happy to look after mail, provide regular updates and all the other things that will give you peace of mind while you are away. I keep in touch regularly by sending messages and pics of your little ones, as any of my referees will attest. I love gardening, am handy with a mower and all the day to day maintenance needed to keep outdoor areas looking great.

I am free to travel on flexible dates and take up long or short assignments.
I am health conscious without being obsessive, enjoy exercise and am a non smoker.
I have a police check and references. You will be able to call and verify references. These contacts can be provided on request.

"Julie looked after our house, our old blue heeler, our cat and 3 chooks for around two weeks whilst we were overseas in March 2015. We came home to a lovely clean house and very happy and well looked after pets. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Julie and would certainly love her to look after our house again" - Sharon Vincent Batemans Bay NSW 2536

I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements. I do have references on this site, from previous happy pet owners. Hope we can assist each other ..

Two very quiet mature non smoking, non party, women who love classical music. We have been house sitters over the years and locum managers for B&Bs, self catering cottages and small farms. We would now like to pet/house sit for others. as after lots of travelling during which we have had special people look after our beloved boy who sadly has gone where good pets go when it is their time for peace, we would now like to help others to enjoy their travels. References can be supplied, and our police check is up to date, we are on the committee for our hospital which includes the aged care residential home.
Do you need us? We would be very pleased to help you enjoy your adventures.

I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.
I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you.
I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?

Active, healthy non smoking couple - social drinkers only - aged 69. Self employed prior to retiring with a background in family farming followed by tourism when we owned and ran holiday accommodation for ten years where cleanliness was of prime importance. Our business consisted of 10 cottages and 3 acres of grounds and garden which we maintained ourselves.

Wide interests including interior decorating, gardening, reading, music, natural history, bush walking, travel, and how life ticks in general! Since retiring, we are keen to see more of our great country and would love to come to your part of the world and would consider it a privilege to care for your home.

What we offer:
Lifelong experience with and love of all animals. We have always had a variety of pets as well as caring for the farm animals. Enjoy gardening and happy to care for your garden as well as pets. Experienced in general repairs and maintenance if the necessity arises.
Having always owned our own home (except for renting for 15 months following the sale of our business and whilst considering our options), we understand the importance of having someone trustworthy and reliable to care for and maintain and care for your home and pets. We have now been house sitting for over 6 years and looked after 50 homes and various animals.

Happy to provide references and Police clearance.

Bree & Benny

  • Brisbane, TAS

Hello lovely home dwellers, we're Benny & Bree, joyful thirty-somethings who have found themselves in the privileged position of working a little, enjoying a whole lot. As we've not yet put roots down with a home, pets or a garden (as much as we'd love it) we are very much enjoying channeling energies into nurturing the homes and pets of others.

I (Bree) am a freelance nutritionist and most recently, a youth and community development worker. My work is quite flexible and I enjoy a balance of no more than 3/4 days of work a week. Benny works flexibly from home a few days a week and is a handyman/ man of many trades.

We have both had a lot of experience house sitting and find it to be a wonderful opportunity to share some positive energy with a space we wouldn't have otherwise had the pleasure of occupying. We're both honest and genuine, naturally very tidy and organised.

I'm a very warm, peaceful and personable individual with a responsible and respectful nature. I have grown up with at least one of every possible domesticated pet (and some undomesticated!) and am confident and comfortable in any situation. I've had a lot of experience caring for pets with behavioural problems, separation anxiety etc. Due to a lifetimes of animal infiltration I'm also calm and confident administering medication. I grew up riding horses and spent a lot of time on properties, We both don't mind mucking in, not a lot phases us.

We would love to be given the opportunity to take the very best care of your home and fur family. :)

A house sitter since mid-2016 who loves animals! and grew up with lots of pets. Originally from Central Queensland, since 2018 I have experience sitting in Tasmania, Victoria and NSW as well. I've worked many years in the Government and have police clearance. I have two references attached from private house sits (not this website). I lead a quiet personal life, love a clean house, non-smoking, and like to get out walking which makes dogs easy and enjoyable for me. My family has animal-loving in their genes, with 2 vet nurses, 1 pet hotel owner and dog groomer all in my family. I also love gardens and plants and have quite a green thumb. I am reaching a financial goal and go to Europe once a year so with my things in storage, house-sitting has been a simple and convenient transition for me. I look forward to hearing about your house sitting needs.

Hello, I am a single, non smoking 50-something, semi-retired woman looking for house sitting opportunities around Australia. I completed my first sit over this past Christmas and am now house sitting full time. I have just started a 6 month sit with 2 kitties in Altona, Melbourne which ends in early April and have another sit booked in Tasmania for May and June.

I have lived with animals pretty much my whole life - feels like I grew up in a menagerie - cats, dogs, budgies, goldfish, guinea pigs, chooks. My last 2 fur babies were Turkish Van cats who lived to be almost 20 years old and passed away in 2016 - they were known by everyone as "the girls". I've been pet free since and really miss their furry company. The girls were indoor only cats (although they really really wanted to be big, brave, outdoor adventure girls) so I am a wiz at cleaning out kitty litter trays and am not offended by the occasional miss/mess and always assert that the fine coating of cat fur that I used to wear only added to my overall look.

I have lived mostly in apartments over the last few years but have lived in houses with large gardens which I really enjoyed looking after so am happy to look after yours (should you have one). I am a bit of a minimalist and like to keep my home clean and tidy (but comfy) and will keep your home the same.

I have attached a couple of reference and a couple of character references as well as a police check to my profile. Depending on your location, I am happy to catch up before you make a decision and before the sit starts or if you're interstate, there's always Skype.

Zia & Danielle

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC

We are an experienced house & pet-sitting couple in our 30s (one from AU and one from UK) who love nature, tech, travel and animals. Danielle is a vet nurse - an amazing asset for taking care of your animals! She is currently on a career break, training in Reiki & wellness with the aim of opening a wellness centre. Zia works mostly from home in tech - ideal for animals who love company.

We are mature, responsible, pretty quiet and enjoy nothing more than a long walk, discovering new things, enjoying the outdoors or a good movie. We are both active non-smoking vegans and like to keep things clean & tidy. Zia owns a home in the UK and knows first hand how important it is to keep a home and pets in order.
We both love animals of all shapes and sizes and have extensive experience taking care of them. Your pets will always have company and cuddles. We have no children and no pets currently (although have had everything from cats & dogs to birds, horses & goats in the past). No sit is too long or too short.

We like to keep fit, so daily walks are always guaranteed. And always happy to venture out for adventures to park walks or the beach. We have our own car so getting around isn't an issue.

We are currently house sitting a family friend's (no pets so we are able to go elsewhere when we like - but we really miss having animals!) while we save for our own place and like to go to different areas for something different and explore areas we might like to buy.

We are very respectful and leave any home as we found it and spotless. We are happy to do a face-to-face meet if in VIC beforehand or a video chat if you would like to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible with us taking care of your home & pets.

All animals in the pictures are our own past pets.

TESTIMONIALS
I've been putting off this review because I don't even know where to start. This was our first time using a housesitter and it took a leap of faith to give it a try. Well, we leapt with the perfect person. Francien provided a flawless service, from keeping in contact before and during the sit, taking care of our beagle's medicine and weird food habits, and generally spoiling them so rotten they were disappointed when we came home! Not to mention she assimilated and got to and around Chicago from out here in the suburbs like a pro! The only problem now is that I can't imagine another sitter could possibly rise up to the bar she has set. She is coming back to the states in 2017 and we plan on being first on her list.
AMY (Naperville, Illinois, Nov 2015)

My husband, 2 children and I had some wonderful adventures as we traveled around our beautiful country this past summer. It was an incredible journey and one our family will never forget. We were able to enjoy 39 days on the road with peace of mind knowing that our home, yard, pool, and most of all, our many pets were being well cared for. Francien Daniels Webb is a true blessing. Francien is a retired art teacher from Australia who has spent the last 3 years traveling the world taking care of people's homes and pets while the owners are away. Why does she do it? She loves animals, traveling and experiencing new things. Our family has loved spending time with Francien and have asked her to come back, even if just to visit. Francien does not expect reimbursement. As a homeowner, you must take care of the house bills and supply enough food for the pets. Feel free to Google her name. You will see that many people agree she is an incredible woman. If you are planning to travel ask Francien to look after your home and pets.. you will not be disappointed.
JULIE (Georgia, Jul 2015).
2018 I am here as a guest from the 5th June until the 10th June when the family go on a 6 day holiday then I am back into guest mode until I reluctantly leave 'my family' and all their pets, including Rosie the Tarantula, she was there in 2015 too.

Our housesitter Francien was an AMAZING asset to our family. She brought a demeanor of confidence and reassurance that everything would be fine. She is calm and very easy going. She is there if you need her and does her own thing when you don't. From the minute she entered our home it felt as though she had been a part of our family always. She is a GodSend!!! She has a way with animals that is impressive. She loved our cats and tortoise as if they were her own!!! She followed my specific requests and took it upon herself to clean and help out whererver she saw it appropriate. She took care of my little girl Sphynx (all 3 are Sphynx). My little Jennifer was sick and it didnt phase Francien. She was not bothered by anything. I truly could go on all day about Francien. She will meet the requests you have and add a lot extra! She is generous with her talents and a true joy to have around. We had her stay before and after our trip and honestly hated to see her go! She IS Mary Poppins to us!!!!!!!!! If you are having ANY reservations or have ANY questions please do not hesitate to contact us! We can alleviate any concerns you may have.

THEIR ENDORSEMENT OF YOU:
Francien was the perfect house and dog sitter for us! She is friendly, reliable, and responsible and did everything we asked for the house and the dogs. She really likes dogs and took such good care of them you could tell they were sad to see her leave at the end of her visit! She left the house cleaner than when she got there. We enjoyed meeting her and chatting with her and highly recommend her as a petsitter. Thank you Francien!

What a godsend Francien is. I could tell after just a short conversation of her love for animals and she came through with my 4 neurotic, persnickety cats! Thank you Francien, for taking wonderful care of our babies and keeping the house clean. Actually, it seemed cleaner when we got back than when we left. I hope our schedules match up again, because you are a jewel.

Francien watched my miniature pinscher while my family was in Europe. If you are looking for a true animal lover to watch your furry friend look no further! Francien is the real deal. She snuggled and slept with my min pin nightly and even took her out on the town to Starbucks and the dog park while we away. She bought her treats and dressed her up in a bandana. When I checked in, she sent me adorable photos of their adventures. Francien left our house cleaner than we left it. She watered and tended to our plants even though we didn't remember to ask. She is a lovely house guest/sitter. We really appreciated the cute "scrubbies" she knitted and gifted when we arrived home. I did not worry once about my pup mourning my absence and the house was well taken care of as well. I highly recommend Francien!

THEIR ENDORSEMENT OF YOU:
Francien is the most wonderful sitter I could have ever chosen. My fur kids absolutely adore her, and she is a true petgrannie. I have had the pleasure of being with her for a few days before I leave, and we have become dear friends. She is kind, compassionate and truly loves what she does. I am leaving my fur kids in her care with complete peace of mind.

Greetings and thank you for reviewing our profile! We proudly consider ourselves professional house sitters and look forward to learning how we can help you spend time away worry-free. We are a healthy, clean, non-smoking family with experience house sitting longer term, luxury, high quality waterfront, water view, as well as yachts, large acreages and farm properties. The homes we care for often include a well loved variety of indoor & outdoor four legged pets, birds and livestock.

Over the years we also have gained experience renting long term, luxury vacation homes in several regions of the world and now enjoy finding home-sitting opportunities that provide a more local, rewarding experience as we travel.

We live a healthy, active lifestyle and enjoy being outdoors hiking, running, biking and swimming as much as we can. Our two boys are very well-mannered and respectful and can often be found (when not outside playing) snuggled up somewhere reading a book with the family dog or cat. The boys are ages 11 & 12 and enrolled in a British Columbian distance learning program as we travel. They are both very understanding, loving and respectful with the homes and pets we care for. My husband Troy is an international business advisor, mainly working online and I am a primary school teacher.

Having owned our own home in Canada, and both growing up on farms with domestic as well as farm animals, we highly respect the value of pets as family and will treat them and your home as though they were our own. They will be loved, walked, petted, fed and treated just as you take care of them.

We have previously lived and traveled in Australia and are all very excited to return in November. Please contact us at any time to discuss your needs. Excellent references are available upon request.
