I have been house-sitting for more than 2 years and have had the pleasure of looking after more than 100 animals in that time; including dogs, cats, chickens, horses, goats, ducks, fish and even emus!

Frequent updates (including photos) are sent to home owners, allowing you to relax and enjoy your holiday, knowing that all is well with your pets and your home. I also provide all of my own consumables, bedding, towels, cookware etc, basically everything except for the kitchen sink. Upon your return, you will find your home just as clean as when you left.

I am a non-smoker and I am more than happy to provide police clearance and house-sitting references.

Hello

We are just joining Happy Housesitters (3 Sept) as they have more sitting opportunites in Sydney. We have been registered with Trustedhousesitters, so please look at our references there (link below), we also have police checks. I shall update this profile with photos etc shortly.

https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/house-and-pet-sitters/united-kingdom/england/bournemouth/l/51324/

We are in English couple who are fortunate to have houses in UK, Sydney and Morocco and now travel between our stays. My partner is a doctor, so often we will be looking to house sit where he will be working as a GP locum. I run our business online and work from home, so I am able to keep a close eye on your home and ensure your pets are extremely well cared for.

House sitting provides us with the flexibility our lifestyle requires. We love to travel and experience different places but it is also wonderful to have a base for a while and discover somewhere new. Also, we are keen pet lovers, particularly cats so this enables us to babysit them! We also have experience in puppy and dog training and have looked after dogs from Greyhounds to Cavoodles and others in between!

We are well travelled and renovated houses in 5 countries, so DIY tasks are easily undertaken. We are caring pet lovers, my partner is often called The Cat Whisperer! We are fit and love walking, aiming for 8km per day but can do less if this is too far for your dog!

Look forward to hearing from you
Abi and Mike

Animals are my favourite people! With almost 3 years of solid house sitting experience (36 homes) and many great references, you can be confident that your precious companions will receive the best of care while you are taking a break.

To date, I have cared for over 100 animals including a variety of dogs, cats, miniature horses, chickens, fish, guinea pigs, goats and even a pair of emus!

I am a non-smoker who is clean, tidy and considerate of your home. I bring my own bedding and all consumables with me too; you can rest assured your home will be just as you left it on your return.

A current police clearance and many references are available on request.

I currently live and work in Melbourne, living in a share household. I house sit as I also enjoy having time to myself. I also love caring for pets. Over the past years I have sat on many occasions with many homeowners asking me back to sit for them.

I will take really good care of your pets. I genuinely enjoy both cats and dogs. I Like taking dogs for walks and offering lots of affection. Same for cats too...except the walking.

Will also take good care of your property and leave it in an excellent condition.

I have excellent references. A police check. I don't smoke.
I am a friendly respectful guy who is very clean and tidy

HAPPY HEALTHY HOUSE SITTERS.
We are professional married sitters. I was a registered nurse and Ben did 22 years in the RAAF.
We have been house and farm sitting for over 3 years now and have met some beautiful people. We are very house proud and can turn hand to anything. We have many return sitting positions as all our clients have been please with our work. We tend to take longer positions now as this people out better and allows them to have a decent holiday. Our children are grown up and living away from us. We are both retired so our time is our own. We don't have any pets of our own thus can spoil yours. We have a large caravan if need be for accommodation however most of our hosts prefer us to live in their homes.
We have looked after homes in towns as well as farms and stations in the bush and outback. Including 7 months on a station in Cape York and 12 months on a farm in Northern Qld.
We are very happy looking after cats, dogs, goldfish, cattle, horses and sheep. We do need to charge a small fee as the service we give is above and beyond that of any of the other sitters.
We are both non smokers and occasional drinkers.
We enjoy golf, fishing, walking and cooking.
We have police checks and reference available on request also.
If you are looking for exceptional sitters please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to looking after your property.
Kindest regards
Ben and Katie Hall

I am an Educator, and a Writer, and a former Psychotherapist. I love being close to nature, and I love living in a world with those who are creative, compassionate, and caring about others and about the world we live in. When I am doing home and pet care, I enjoy being in homes that are cared for and I love to care for pets who are loved and who are loving.

I am quite experienced in home and pet care, and I have been doing this for many many years. I have taken care of all different homes, and all different pets, and my main goal is to let the animals feel happy and loved, and let the home be cared for.

I am extremely responsible and caring, and these qualities always are present in every home and pet care assignment that I have. I am mature, neat and tidy and thorough, and I want the best for each home and pet I am tending to. I am quiet, and I do not smoke or drink.

I do have excellent references that I am able to supply.

I thank you for considering me as your next house sitter and pet care expert!

We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

Hello! I'm a responsible and house proud non-smoker with an array of house-sits under my belt - from inner city flats to a Tasmanian farmhouse. I am house sitting long term to save for my own home, and have had over three years of house sits almost back-to-back. Many house sits have come through the Happy House Sitters website.

I enjoy a bit of gardening and love the company of animals. I’ve looked after dogs, cats, birds, chickens and even sheep as part of my house-sits. You can be assured that your home will be kept clean and tidy. As a freelance writer and marketer, I often work from home and I think this adds an advantage of “lived-in security” to a property, not to mention extra time with the pets!

A police check and excellent references are available on request.

Ideally I’m after long term house-sits (1 month +) but will definitely consider shorter term options.

Lucy and Murray house-sat our 2 very precious schnoodles for 4 nights recently (July 2015). I couldn’t have asked for better sitters! They visited beforehand to meet our dogs and I immediately felt very comfortable that Lucy and Murray would take great care of our dogs. They were very dedicated to looking after the dogs and respectful of our apartment, leaving it spic and span. Our dogs were very happy in their company as Lucy and Murray happily followed the daily routine we requested, including letting them sleep in their bed with them. I will definitely ask them to sit for us again.

In March 2015 we embarked on a 5 week trip and was looking for someone to housesit and care for our dog and rabbit. Fortunately Lucy & Murray were able to help us out.
Lucy and Murray kept in contact throughout our trip with updates on our elderly dog Hank who required some additional care with medicine. We were very happy to also receive
photos of Murray and Hank together!
The house was left immaculately with not a thing out of place. In fact the only evidence that we found of their stay was some food in the cupboards — they even left the wheelie bin
empty!
Lucy and Murray were fantastic housesitters and we would be more than happy to recommend them to anyone.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Lucy & Murray of Avalon Sydney NSW were house sitters at my home x 6 weeks September & early October 2015.

I have 4 dogs and it seems, during my absence, they loved them to death ! the dogs totally fell in love with Murray and Murray with the dogs. Although the criteria was to walk the dogs once a day, my neighbours tell me they often saw my sitters walking the dogs twice a day.

On my return, the house was kept in fine order, very tidy and clean and the garden was taken care of also.

I would welcome Lucy and Murray a return house sit here if they were available and would recommend them as reliable dog lovers.

If further information is required please do not hesitate to ask for phone contact number.

My husband (Peter) and I are both in our mid sixties and decided to rent our house and buy a mobile home and trailer to take our Earth and Space Education Programs and Mobile Planetarium to schools in more remote areas.

We have little work, if any, over the school holidays and sometimes need a house to "recharge our batteries". We especially are looking for a long term house sit as our first schools are in Mt Gambier in February 2018 and we would love a house sit through January on the way.

We both are animal nutters and have even bought dog treats to give to animals we meet on our travels. Our last black labrador, Windsor, passed away 5 years ago and we are unfortunately unable to have a dog on our travels as we can be often in dog-free zones. We are often asked to dog and house sit by our friends who seem to think we're homeless. We have also house sat many other houses and many and varied animals, for people from this site and their friends. We can provide their names and phone numbers on request.

Neither of us are smokers and my husband has a "keep everything spotless" disease which makes me find him often staring longingly at cleaning products at Aldi while I am buying the fresh fruit and veg. We also have Working With Children Licences and Crimtrac police checks.

Hi! We are Riley and Sarah.

We are both live in Melbourne, Australia. We are looking for opportunities to house-sit until the end of 2017, particular in the South/ East/ South-Eastern/ Inner City suburbs.

A bit about us....

Riley (29) is an American, currently in Australia on a working holiday visa. He is from Kansas and has a teaching degree from the University of Kansas. Since arriving in Melbourne, Riley has worked as an au pair for host families and as a carer for people with disabilities. Most recently Riley has been house-sitting with Sarah in Hampton. Last year (2015-16) he did a year of service in Louisiana building wheelchair ramps for disabled homeowners; and also helped restore homes for low income and elderly people in the area. He has beginner carpentry skills and home improvement abilities. He has also worked in the past as a janitor and as a counsellor at many Summer Camps. Riley has been volunteering in a garden in Melbourne the past few months. Riley enjoys working hard and helping others in any capacity he can.

Sarah (25) is an Australian. She grew up in country Victoria riding horses, hiking, working in garden and learning to be an excellent cook with a passion for home grown produce. Sarah moved to Melbourne to study at Monash University and is currently in her final year of study. Sarah has worked previously in childcare, hospitality, consultancy and has a background in law. Sarah frequently volunteers her time at community legal centres providing free advice to those who cannot afford lawyers. Sarah has travelled widely and is always interested to be a part of a community. She really loves animals - large and small.

Together, we love the outdoors and being active. We love camping, hiking, cooking, walks on the beach and chatting over cups of tea. We are both non-smokers. We are both available to start sitting opportunities until the end of 2017. I am a mature age house and pet sitter with a background of looking after country homes and gardens in Queensland...at Mitchell and Mapleton.

I have worked in the Real Estate industry in Queensland and have had the responsibility of ensuring security of homes and properties in the absence of home owners.

I love to travel and housesitting has resulted in two very successful recent house sitting assignments in New Zealand & Avalon, near Palm Beach, NSW.

I have attached the references from these assignments.

I would be delighted to introduce myself to you to discuss your specific requirements and instructions in detail.

I will be able to supply more character references and housesitting references, on request.

Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on eevahelena@yahoo.com.au anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva

Hello Home Owners!

This year I am focusing on house-sitting around the Toowoomba area; some areas in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast . Petrol costs too much to go further afield, unfortunately.

Being a pensioner, and a retired teacher,I decided House-Sitting was my only way of having a break/ holiday from home. I have done several successful years of pet and home-sitting ..all with dogs, cats, birds, fish , etc., and even a pet python. I am police-checked a few times over [ for volunteer work], and hold a current Blue Card. I carry a pet first aid kit in my car.

I am a keen gardener, and cook..you may find a meal in your fridge or freezer on your return.I am used also to looking after pools.

I am an inveterate animal-lover, with a rural back-ground. I do not smoke , and have the occasional Guinness. I don't throw wild parties.. nor even sedate dinner-parties, as meagre pensions don't run to that!!!! I bring my own mobile larder, laptop, printer, mobile internet modem for my emails , and mobile phone with unlimited calls, so I do not need much, apart from some space in the fridge and the freezer, and access to wifi for my web searches. I have my own transport..a battered Falcon wagon with three dog restraints in the back.

Currently, I do not have any pets of my own, as my beloved Westie, Cailan, passed away last year.

References are available.

I am in a transition stage this year, having put my home in storage at New Year and I'm undertaking full time house sitting while I live in different suburbs and the surrounding areas of Sydney. Eventually I aim to buy an apartment and will either rent it out or live in it. In the last twelve months I sold a business after building it up over twenty years and moved out of a townhouse where I had lived for twelve years. I am undertaking a masters degree by research this year and next so I have a lot of time to stay "in" if required which will suit pet owners. I have been enjoying the house sitting community and it suits my current life of studying and doing much less work.

I love animals and, apart from the last 5 years, have had pets of all descriptions most of my life. An inner-city person now, I have lived in different places over the years including by the ocean, on a river and on a farm over twenty years ago and raised animals of all kinds from baby lambs and calves to cats, dogs and birds. I pet sit for friends when they are away and the pets always take to me quickly as I do them.

I have worked in the arts and business for twenty five years and now run a small home based business as well as my study which does not require attendance at class. I have grown children who are totally independent and I feel this is my time to explore new ideas and live in new areas. House sitting is a great way to live in new areas and transition to a new home eventually for myself. I am very responsible, a garden and pet lover. I do need to stay within commuting distance of Sydney for study and family.

My name is Kaz, and I am an experienced house/pet sitter. I am 66 years old, non smoker, and love animals - particularly dogs. My last 4 legged companion (Tigger - a retired Greyhound) passed away several years ago. His passing (at the ripe old age of 14) meant I could take on new ventures.

I love new places, and looking after furry kids - fishy, feathered kids if necessary!!

Having worked in extremely remote communities over a 10 year period, I am organised and adaptable, and would look after your home and pets as I would my own. Up until late 2014, I owned my own home. I sold, in preparation to moving to country NSW in November of 2016. I have been permanently housesitting since 2012.

In March of 2014, I closed my landline crystal and mineral business, and moved to selling online. Which means that I work from home. I have my own internet connection, and chose Telstra as my provider, as their coverage is (generally!!) greater.

I am happy to provide details of referees. I have regular clients, and house/pet sit for some of them several times per year....

Some feedback from clients:

"It is always reassuring to know the dogs can be at home rather than in kennels We were able to enjoy planning the trip and then eventually being away with your great service. The dogs were well cared for and obviously enjoyed your presence very much so we are happy too!! No problem if you use these comments". Joe and Anne, Perth, WA

"We were very happy with Kaz. Fergie is a rather strong and dominant rescue dog with a few problems such as separation anxiety and we came back to find her actually better than when we left! So much so, that I have asked Kaz to meet up for a walk with the dog so I can learn from how she handles her!

For the first time ever, our cat had not pined and lost weight. The house was neat and tidy and Kaz had go above and beyond in every respect." Carol and Punch, Perth, WA.

I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.
I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you.
I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?

I am a single, mature aged, non-smoking gentleman with experience in house and pet sitting.

As a recently retired school teacher, I am looking for an opportunity to extend myself and broaden my travelling experience by living in an area for longer than a fleeting visit as is usually the case when taking a holiday from work.
I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, walking, and recently, craft creations.

Whilst not having my own pets these days, I have had the rather usual menagerie of a cat, dogs, fish, guinea pigs, white mice and chooks.

I have a reference and photos which are attached.
I look forward to be of assistance.

Hi there my name is brooke I am an 18 year old Australian female. I have been traveling around the Eastern side of Australia for the past 8 months or so and have had the opportunity to house sit near Manly recently. I really enjoyed this opportunity looking after two cats and the house itself, I am quite an adventurous person when it comes to going for walks or checking out the area I'm in but I'm not interested in nightlife type things so I can assure that your place will be looked after and someone will be there at night. I grew up on property and had lots of animals so I have always enjoyed the company of the little companions and look forward to having more opportunities like this.
