I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements.Hope we can assist each other .
We are a family of three, Tracey (50 y.o), Steve (54 y.o) and Tilly, a five y.o. miniature schnauzer.Tilly is well behaved, extremely social with other dogs and people, does not shed hair/fur and travels where-ever we travel. As we are both semi-retired, we can devote our time at your home to provide the love and care you pet deserves. With properties of our own, we are extremely house-proud and treat everyone's property with the utmost care and respect. We are non-smokers, non-drinkers who enjoy the outdoors, with activities that include gardening, swimming, paddling (outrigger canoes), walking and exploring new sights, whilst meeting many interesting people. We consider ourselves as 'minimalists', who endeavour to live without too much 'stuff' and value the environment.During 2017 and into 2018, we resided on Norfolk Island, where we managed a B&B and cared for a beautiful home on a 3 acre property. We completely understand that your task in selecting the correct person/people to care for the things you cherish is complex and time-consuming. Therefore, current police checks, any additional information and references are available upon request.
I am a happy, friendly, 62 year old semi-retired house-sitter who is a fit, non-smoking, mature female; honest, reliable, house and garden proud. I grew up on a farm thus have familiarity, experience, patience and love for animals and pets, having grown up caring for many various pets of my own.I have a passion for gardening and landscaping; I have the time to care for, walk and empathize with your pet/s missing their owner/s while keeping your home safe and as you left it. I have always owned my own homes and worked in responsible professional positions; married for 39 years to an electrician who works away six months of the year, with adult independent children living interstate pursuing professional careers.I will respect your home, garden and beloved pets with the care I show my own. I can supply a Police Check, Working with Children Check (pets are our children!), House Owners and character references when required.I am willing to listen carefully to your instructions, preferences & requirements. Thank-you, Dianne :)
I am a retired Physiotherapist. Very keen bush walker and cyclist and a keen gardener. I have always had dogs and before that cats, but since the death of my 2 beloved old Jack Russels (mother and son) last August I have decided to take a break from pet ownership. So looking after your dog or cat or feeding chickens or farm animals while exploring other parts of our country would be a joy for me.I would look after your house as if it is my own. I am also very environmentally conscious in regard to use of water, electricity etc.
My name is Rose and I am a mature age PhD student. I am currently living between Sydney, Lismore and the Gold Coast while I complete a professional Doctorate researching early colonial history (Sydney and Parramatta). My husband and dog live on a sheep farm in the northern tablelands of NSW and our children are married with lives of their own. Between us we have 5 granddaughters who we adore. The reason I do house-sitting is because I love animals and miss my own. I get much pleasure caring for beautiful pets during my time in their life and it is lovely to receive unconditional love while doing my research. I enjoy the new experiences house-sitting gives me and have been inspired by some of the lovely environments I have stayed in. One of the benefits is making lots of new friends and I now have regular house-sitting appointments. About me, I have always been a home owner, do not smoke and am extremely clean and tidy. I am also very security conscious. I am not into parties and take very good care of the houses/apartments where I stay. I have references and a Police clearance for your consideration. I am happy to chat with you and also meet in person to say hi to your pet/s and allow you the opportunity to discuss your needs and requirements. Thanks kindly Rose
We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus! We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. Over the years we have also had extensive experience in house & garden maintenance having renovated our own properties & also as sitters, we have cared for a number of different types of homes & properties ranging from large farms through to smaller homes & units. We do understand that everyone's house & pets are different & we seriously take this on board & listen to each individuals requests & we will follow through with meeting your specific requirements while we stay & promise to keep you updated while you are away. The opportunity to become your house sitter would be a great privilege & something we would not take for granted, as we both understand it is a necessity to respect your house & property & keep it well maintained while in residence. We are both non smokers, healthy & happy people & look forward to hearing from you.If required we can provide further reputable references & recommendation contacts.Hope to hear from you !Susie & Gary

Hello, I am a single, non smoking health professional with experience in caring for homes and much loved pets. I am very conscious of the need of keeping homes and pets safe and secure, and am aware of the trust that home owners place in house-carers. As mentioned I have house sat for previous home owners and cared for all manner of dogs, cats, fish....and would be happy to provide references. I am a non smoker, lead a quiet life, am responsible and accountable. I would be happy to care for your home.
Animals are my favourite people! Hello,I am a for fun singer, pianist, and composer and writer living with my wife Jamie, a psychologist in Cygnet for a year. We recently purchased a lot in Beechford where we plan to build a home over the next year.In the meantime, I would like to see more of Tasmania and possibly the mainland and thought it would be fun to housesit other's pets. I am an animal person and love cats and dogs. I've had Inca, a German Shepherd, Hunter, a German Shorthair pointer, and Tai and Chi, two Himalayans and grew up with lots of dogs. Yesterday, we went on an art walk and one of the artists we visited had a rescue dog that had been abused. The artist told us, "she's very shy with men." After thirty seconds of scratching her chin, she was licking my face. I guess that's a pretty good canine endorsement. :)I am quiet, a non-smoker and drinker, tidy and would prefer to housesit in country settings. I have always cared for rental homes as if they were my own.
We are an older couple. We own our own home and we recently lost our little dog who had been with us for 17.5 years. Our little dog was certainly "part of the family". We love all types of animals. We are retired. Peter is a retired Senior Sergeant with the Victoria Police. He still works in the judicial system as a Justice of the Peace. I have a current Police Check. I was a teacher/school counselor. We have had experience house sitting and we do know how we would like people to respect our property so naturally we would do the same for others. We really love to travel and visit new places. We enjoy walking and reading when we are on holidays.Your house would be left just the way we found it on arrival. We can provide references if required.
Update!!! Ross needs a new hip so we had to advise all our pet sits we couldn't sit for them this year. Better to pull out now while they still have loads of time to get new sitters than mid way though a sit. We love what we do! We will be back in action ASAP so watch this space!Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 62 and 63 who have lived and worked in the same area for 35 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide lots of references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We also had sits in Queensland, NSW and Tassie and would love a sit in NT, SA, and WA!! We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that we are retired, our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. We love animals and always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas and he takes his fishing boat. We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we will try to accommodate our time to suit your needs. We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and escaping the cold Victorian winters. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions and of course contact details such as your mobile number and email address. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we've found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Luckily for us we have lots of repeat house sits which makes us very happy.Jo and Ross Tanner
Recently retired from working in aged-care, now embracing house sitting full time to travel and explore Australia and meet new people.I am an active, non-smoking, mature single female. We retired after selling our property management business and are an active and very healthy, non smoking couple aged 73 and 70. Because of our business experience we are very familiar with the proper care of homes and the needs of owners.A number of years ago, between businesses, we looked after friends businesses, homes and a B & B and also have cared for our friends’ pets in our home. We own our home where we have lived for nearly 40 years. Until recently, we had 4 chickens, and also a very faithful old dog, Hoover, a kelpie and cocker spaniel cross, who passed away, aged 15, a number of years ago. During the last 2 years we have completed 4 successful house sits at Somers Victoria, Margate Tasmania, Bulahdelah New South Wales, and Port Wilunga and Adelaide, South Australia. We stayed at Margate for 3 months between July and October, 2015, and maintained a beautiful 5 acre garden of mainly European influence trees and shrubs and an amazing vegetable garden. We are able to forward details of these owners for you to contact. In the past we have also used house sitters. Most of the experiences were successful, therefore, we fully understand the requirements of the home owner and the responsibilities of the house sitter. We are happy to speak with you on the telephone or Skype if you wish.Warm regards, Howard and Mary
Two very quiet mature non smoking, non party, women who love classical music. We have been house sitters over the years and locum managers for B&Bs, self catering cottages and small farms. We would now like to pet/house sit for others. as after lots of travelling during which we have had special people look after our beloved boy who sadly has gone where good pets go when it is their time for peace, we would now like to help others to enjoy their travels.References can be supplied, and our police check is up to date Do you need us? We would be very pleased to help you enjoy your adventures.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
My husband and I are both retired, although Ian does work every now and then for his previous employer (finance area). I retired 3 years ago but had been a School Admonistration Manager (14 years). I still have security clearance to work in schools, therefore have had the full criminal record check. We did our first house sitting and pet minding "job" in March and April 2015 (6 wks) and we looked after lovely little dog and cat(See Reference) and we then did another house sit, pet minding (5 wks) looking after another gorgeous dog (See Reference). Our background in brief: Five adult children. Married 42 years. We now live in an Over 50s complex and are enjoying it very much. We had previously lived at Sylvania, southern suburb of Sydney, for 35 years. Always been involved in community activities (Judy - P&C life member, and raising money for various charities. Ian - Soccer Chairmans award for volunteer work, also local Scout group committee member and volunteer work). We love pets, growing up I had a poodle, and Ian had a Jack Russell. Our family dog was a Staffie called Cypress. She was loved for 14 years, and when the timing is right we will have another Staffie. But we love all pets. We are honest and reliable, and would take good care of your home, inside and out. Ian really enjoys mowing lawns, yes he does. And I love pottering in the garden. We would now like to do more travelling and exploring of this wonderful country. Please contact us if you would like more information.
We are a mature couple (58 and 62) and are both retired. We'd be very happy to come and look after your home while you are away and would treat your home and pets as we do ours, with all care. My husband Graeme and I are both active with plenty of bush walking and sailing and have experience with dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs and even smaller critters. I'm comfortable with farm animals and can ride a horse. I enjoy the garden and would be very happy pottering around, watering, mowing, sweeping - whatever. Ive recently completed a Certificate in Animal Care through TAFE and Graeme is currently studying for his PhD spending a lot of time working on that. We have a home on the northern beaches of Sydney. Our neighbours are knocking down and rebuilding their home so we will be renting our home to them for the duration, leaving our dogs with them and hope, expect, to be travelling / house sitting for a year. We have done some house sitting already with return visits (or requests to return) and can supply references should you want them. We would be very happy to care for your home and animals and hope that you contact us if you think we're suitable. ThanksLouisePs I'm also a JP

My wife and I own and operate an online business, established almost 4 years ago. The majority of our customers are world wide. As a result, we are permanent travelers, but need to be in Australia to visit with grand kids and assorted family! We are animal lovers, and recently gave away 2 fabulous cats to a good home. (Normally our sons look after the cats, but they all recently left the family home in New Zealand!) We now have good experience in house sitting, we are very responsible people, and would treat your home as we would ours, and the animals and garden would be treated the same. My wife is extremely house proud, and loves to potter about in the garden . She is an extremely organised person and she looks after the house and me very well!Kays Dad was in the 2000 Queens Honors List in New Zealand (R. J. SHARP ONZM, For services to Dairying), because he invented the herringbone milking shed in New Zealand in 1952. Only took 48 years to get recognised. We can provide good personal references. We are non smokers. Broadband or good internet access would be needed.
Hello! We are Brittnay & Jay, a professional house sitting couple. We both have a passion for animals and travelling. We have both been raised with family pets. However, since we have made the move to travelling and working remotely full time, we both really miss the interaction with animals. We both feel strongly that pets are apart of your family and treated in such a respect. We have both grown up with an array of animals, so we firmly believe you can comfortably leave them in our capable loving company. We love to go for walks every day, which would fit perfectly for people with active pets but also are homebodies so your pets will be able to someone to use as a comfy couch in evenings :)We both work remotely, therefore we are able to be around the house more often hopefully putting your animals at ease with the company. We enjoy gardening and keeping a tidy home is something we take pride in. We believe communication is key to providing a situation in which both parties are comfortable with the house sit.We believe all our personal attributes and experiences can provide you with a fantastic service. We are happy to provide personal and police references. Please let us prove how helpful we can be.Why we want to house sitGrowing up with cats, dogs, birds and fish as family pets we both have had animals close to us our entire lives. Over the past couple of years, we have been travelling and moving around fulltime. Moving around so much it is very hard for us to have pets of our own so we love house sitting because we can get pet interaction that we both really miss. There is nothing we love more than snuggling up on the couch with a cat or dog, or going for a run along the beach with a dogs lead in hand! Our ExperienceWe have completed six house sits over 2017 & 2018. These sits range from 1 weeks to 1 month. We have looked after everything from chihuahuas, new foundlands, turtles, cats & many chickens. We have both had extensive interaction with animals growing up, including cats, dogs, fish and chickens. Both of us believe animals are apart of your family and are to be treated as such. We are both responsible and reliable individuals who guarantee your animals and property will be cared for to the highest standard. We like to have strong communication with owners, so both yourself and us feel comfortable at all times.
