I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements. I do have references on this site, from previous happy pet owners. Hope we can assist each other ..

Sarah & Riley

Hi! We are Sarah and Riley.

We are looking for longer term opportunities to house-sit in 2019. Sarah is currently based in Hampton, in the South East of Melbourne. Riley is currently working in America and will be returning to Melbourne in July 2019.

A bit about us....

Sarah (26) is an Australian. She grew up in country Victoria riding horses, hiking, working in garden and learning to be an excellent cook with a passion for home grown produce. Sarah moved to Melbourne to study at Monash University and in 2019 will complete her final semester of study. Sarah has worked previously in childcare, hospitality, consultancy and has a background in law. Sarah frequently volunteers her time at community legal centers providing free advice to those who cannot afford lawyers. Sarah has traveled widely and is always interested to be a part of a community. She really loves animals - large and small.

Riley (30) is originally from Kansas, United States of America. He has a teaching degree from the University of Kansas. He moved to Melbourne in 2016, but still works and lives between the US and Australia from time to time. Since arriving in Melbourne, Riley has worked in childcare and for people with disabilities. In the past Riley has completed a year of service in Louisiana building wheelchair ramps for disabled homeowners; and also helped restore homes for low income and elderly people in the area. He has beginner carpentry skills and home improvement abilities, and is currently working as a teacher. Riley enjoys working hard and helping others in any capacity he can.

Together, we love the outdoors and being active. We love camping, hiking, cooking, walks on the beach and chatting over cups of tea. We are both non-smokers. We are both available to start sitting opportunities in 2019.

Previous experience:
- House sitting Malvern (October '16)

Welcome to my profile,
I have been house-sitting continuously for 3 years and have had the pleasure of looking after more than 40 homes and 150 animals in that time; including cats, dogs, chickens, horses, goats, ducks, fish and even emus!

Frequent updates (including photos) are sent to homeowners, allowing you to relax and enjoy your holiday knowing that all is well with your pets and your home. I also provide all of my own consumables, bedding, towels, cookware etc, basically everything except for the kitchen sink. Upon your return you will find your home just as clean as when you left.

I am a non-smoker and I am more than happy to provide police clearance and house-sitting references.

I would love to look after your much loved pets and farm/exotic animals as well your home.
I began sitting in 2011 so my experience is varied and interesting. I have just returned from 6 months in the USA sitting as well as a guest with home owners who are now my friends and ‘family ‘. I sat for these Home Owners during my 11 months in the USA and Canada in 2015.
I am a mature single woman, non smoker, clean, have my own vehicle and I don't have any pets of my own.
Below I have added my testimonials from my most recent sits in the states.
I look forward to hearing from you,
I can Facetime with you asap if you are interested.

TESTIMONIALS
I've been putting off this review because I don't even know where to start. This was our first time using a housesitter and it took a leap of faith to give it a try. Well, we leapt with the perfect person. Francien provided a flawless service, from keeping in contact before and during the sit, taking care of our beagle's medicine and weird food habits, and generally spoiling them so rotten they were disappointed when we came home! Not to mention she assimilated and got to and around Chicago from out here in the suburbs like a pro! The only problem now is that I can't imagine another sitter could possibly rise up to the bar she has set. She is coming back to the states in 2017 and we plan on being first on her list.
AMY (Naperville, Illinois, Nov 2015)

My husband, 2 children and I had some wonderful adventures as we traveled around our beautiful country this past summer. It was an incredible journey and one our family will never forget. We were able to enjoy 39 days on the road with peace of mind knowing that our home, yard, pool, and most of all, our many pets were being well cared for. Francien Daniels Webb is a true blessing. Francien is a retired art teacher from Australia who has spent the last 3 years traveling the world taking care of people's homes and pets while the owners are away. Why does she do it? She loves animals, traveling and experiencing new things. Our family has loved spending time with Francien and have asked her to come back, even if just to visit. Francien does not expect reimbursement. As a homeowner, you must take care of the house bills and supply enough food for the pets. Feel free to Google her name. You will see that many people agree she is an incredible woman. If you are planning to travel ask Francien to look after your home and pets.. you will not be disappointed.
JULIE (Georgia, Jul 2015).
2018 I am here as a guest from the 5th June until the 10th June when the family go on a 6 day holiday then I am back into guest mode until I reluctantly leave 'my family' and all their pets, including Rosie the Tarantula, she was there in 2015 too.

Our housesitter Francien was an AMAZING asset to our family. She brought a demeanor of confidence and reassurance that everything would be fine. She is calm and very easy going. She is there if you need her and does her own thing when you don't. From the minute she entered our home it felt as though she had been a part of our family always. She is a GodSend!!! She has a way with animals that is impressive. She loved our cats and tortoise as if they were her own!!! She followed my specific requests and took it upon herself to clean and help out whererver she saw it appropriate. She took care of my little girl Sphynx (all 3 are Sphynx). My little Jennifer was sick and it didnt phase Francien. She was not bothered by anything. I truly could go on all day about Francien. She will meet the requests you have and add a lot extra! She is generous with her talents and a true joy to have around. We had her stay before and after our trip and honestly hated to see her go! She IS Mary Poppins to us!!!!!!!!! If you are having ANY reservations or have ANY questions please do not hesitate to contact us! We can alleviate any concerns you may have.
JEFFREY AND APRIL DUNLAP (Independence Missouri, Aug 2015)
2018- I will be there the third time this year when I prepare to leave the USA.

THEIR ENDORSEMENT OF YOU:
Francien was the perfect house and dog sitter for us! She is friendly, reliable, and responsible and did everything we asked for the house and the dogs. She really likes dogs and took such good care of them you could tell they were sad to see her leave at the end of her visit! She left the house cleaner than when she got there. We enjoyed meeting her and chatting with her and highly recommend her as a petsitter. Thank you Francien!

THEIR ENDORSEMENT OF YOU:
What a godsend Francien is. I could tell after just a short conversation of her love for animals and she came through with my 4 neurotic, persnickety cats! Thank you Francien, for taking wonderful care of our babies and keeping the house clean. Actually, it seemed cleaner when we got back than when we left. I hope our schedules match up again, because you are a jewel.

NICOLE - WINTER SPRINGS FLORIDA

THEIR ENDORSEMENT OF YOU:
Francien watched my miniature pinscher while my family was in Europe. If you are looking for a true animal lover to watch your furry friend look no further! Francien is the real deal. She snuggled and slept with my min pin nightly and even took her out on the town to Starbucks and the dog park while we away. She bought her treats and dressed her up in a bandana. When I checked in, she sent me adorable photos of their adventures. Francien left our house cleaner than we left it. She watered and tended to our plants even though we didn't remember to ask. She is a lovely house guest/sitter. We really appreciated the cute "scrubbies" she knitted and gifted when we arrived home. I did not worry once about my pup mourning my absence and the house was well taken care of as well. I highly recommend Francien!

THEIR ENDORSEMENT OF YOU:
Francien is the most wonderful sitter I could have ever chosen. My fur kids absolutely adore her, and she is a true petgrannie. I have had the pleasure of being with her for a few days before I leave, and we have become dear friends. She is kind, compassionate and truly loves what she does. I am leaving my fur kids in her care with complete peace of mind.

Kaz

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS

My name is Kaz, and I am an experienced house/pet sitter. I am 67 years old, non smoker, and love animals - particularly dogs. My last 4 legged companion (Tigger - a retired Greyhound) passed away several years ago. His passing (at the ripe old age of 14) meant I could take on new ventures.

I love new places, and looking after furry kids - fishy, feathered kids if necessary!!

Having worked in extremely remote communities over a 10 year period, I am organised and adaptable, and would look after your home and pets as I would my own. Up until late 2014, I owned my own home. I sold, in preparation to moving to country NSW in November of 2016. I have been permanently housesitting since 2010.

In March of 2014, I closed my landline crystal and mineral business, and moved to selling online. Which means that I work from home. I have my own internet connection, and chose Telstra as my provider, as their coverage is (generally!!) greater.

I am happy to provide details of referees. I have regular clients, and house/pet sit for some of them several times per year....

Some feedback from clients:

"It is always reassuring to know the dogs can be at home rather than in kennels We were able to enjoy planning the trip and then eventually being away with your great service. The dogs were well cared for and obviously enjoyed your presence very much so we are happy too!! No problem if you use these comments". Joe and Anne, Perth, WA

"We were very happy with Kaz. Fergie is a rather strong and dominant rescue dog with a few problems such as separation anxiety and we came back to find her actually better than when we left! So much so, that I have asked Kaz to meet up for a walk with the dog so I can learn from how she handles her!

For the first time ever, our cat had not pined and lost weight. The house was neat and tidy and Kaz had go above and beyond in every respect." Carol and Punch, Perth, WA.

Referee's contact details available on request.

Active, healthy non smoking couple - social drinkers only - aged 68. Self employed prior to retiring with a background in family farming followed by tourism when we owned and ran holiday accommodation for ten years where cleanliness was of prime importance. Our business consisted of 10 cottages and 3 acres of grounds and garden which we maintained ourselves.

Wide interests including interior decorating, gardening, reading, music, natural history, bush walking, travel, and how life ticks in general! Since retiring, we are keen to see more of our great country and would love to come to your part of the world and would consider it a privilege to care for your home.

What we offer:
Lifelong experience with and love of all animals. We have always had a variety of pets as well as caring for the farm animals. Enjoy gardening and happy to care for your garden as well as pets. Experienced in general repairs and maintenance if the necessity arises.
Having always owned our own home (except for renting for 15 months following the sale of our business and whilst considering our options), we understand the importance of having someone trustworthy and reliable to care for and maintain and care for your home and pets. We have now been house sitting for over 6 years and looked after 50 homes and various animals.

Happy to provide references and Police clearance.

Hi everyone and many thanks for viewing our profile !

Because of current back-to-back house sits, our next availability is from approx 4/12/19.

So far, we have (successfully!) completed house sits in NSW, VIC and WA..

We have chosen to provide professional house sitting services as recently we had a business purchase fall over at the very last minute. Having sold our home to do so, and with all our furniture and belongings in storage awaiting the removalist to deliver, the business transaction had to be stopped and left us very disappointed to say the least. Add to this we were "homeless" (though our eldest daughter did throw us a lifeline, and a bed!) as well as Leesa resigned from her job.

Nevertheless, this all happened for a reason and we are firm believers in this.

Hence, this is our new adventure !

We are both 52 years old, healthy, non-smokers and enjoy socialising. We offer financial stability and have had a lot of owner occupied and investment properties.

We have won numerous awards as business owners and employees, and are well known for being very easy to get along with, plus both being Virgo's, we're VERY clean and tidy !

Travel is high on our agenda, now our daughters have completed their schooling and established their working lives. We feel house sitting can provide us loads of opportunities to travel extensively.

Part of our offering is that we will provide our own linen/pillows, as well as bring our Wi-Fi if required.

We have current National Police checks completed, as well as numerous references.

Due to allergies, we are unable to look after most animals, though (eg) birds and fish should be fine.

We would love to talk to you about your home and how we can help look after it for you, so please give us a call any day of the week.

Regards, Steve and Leesa.

Hi,
We are currently travelling WA in our caravan with our 8 year old chocolate Labrador. Maggie is very social and we take her to parks, beaches, walks etc. to meet other pets, she grew up with 2 very crabby, old cats and some goldfish. We have just reached 15months travelling and 35000kms. We own our home in Tasmania and have a lady, her daughter and 2 dogs are caring for that home.
We have previously used the services of a pet carer when taking holidays. It gave us a sense of relief as we took our leave to know our pets and home were safe and cared for.
So far we have looked after;
1. A home and a ginger moggie in Lansborough QLD,
2. A home, 2 cats, a crazy Boxer, tropical fish and a turtle in Caboolture QLD,
3. 2 cats in Seaford VIC
4. A home and a Moodle in Tas,
5. Perth a 16yr old Jack Russell, Poodle, Velveteen Bunny and a Budgie.
We are an easy going couple touring our country, sight seeing, fishing and boating (our own).
We have both had different fur, scaled and feathered family members our whole life from Hermit Crabs to hand raised Lambs, Cattle and Goats, Bunnies and Guinea Pigs, Dogs, Rescue Cats, Budgies, Chooks, Ducks and Pigeons.
We do not smoke and socially drink.

My wife and I own and operate an online business, established almost 8 years ago. The majority of our customers are world wide. As a result, we are permanent travelers, but need to be in Australia to visit with grand kids and assorted family! We are animal lovers, and recently gave away 2 fabulous cats to a good home. (Normally our sons look after the cats, but they all recently left the family home in New Zealand!) We now have good experience in house sitting, we are very responsible people, and would treat your home as we would ours, and the animals and garden would be treated the same. My wife is extremely house proud, and loves to potter about in the garden . She is an extremely organised person and she looks after the house and me very well! Kays Dad was in the 2000 Queens Honors List in New Zealand (R. J. SHARP ONZM, For services to Dairying), because he invented the herringbone milking shed in New Zealand in 1952. Only took 48 years to get recognised. We can provide good personal references. We are non smokers. Broadband or good internet access would be needed.

We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

Hello. I am a retired senior federal public servant, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on eevahelena@yahoo.com.au anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva

I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.
I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you.
I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?

Hello

We are a retired couple and have been travelling and exploring (housesitting most of the time) for several years. We label what we do as slow travel and for the last year we’ve been in Broken Hill. But we are keen to get back out there and have resumed housesitting.
We are non-smokers and very quiet people. We are doing housesitting as a way to explore new places, meet new people and to have some quality time with animals when the opportunity arises. I (Paul) am a photographer and always welcome being in new places with new people and scenes to record. Pauline is using her time to explore drawing and painting and a little photography as her way of experiencing the new places we are continually discovering.

As mentioned above, we have been pet and housesitting for much of the last few years, both in England and here in Australia. Our housesitting references, as well as a couple of property references are listed on this site (some have been copied from other Housesitting sites we have been registered with over the years). Sharing our lives with animals is essential for us and we have cared for a great many in housesitting assignments as well as having had pets of our own in the past. During our housesitting lives we have cared for all shapes, sizes, and breeds of dogs, and many cats ranging from kittens and very timid rescued animals all the way to the ones who see themselves as ‘royalty’. Also, we have cared for a variety of birds as well as the odd lizard. We understand that each animal is a unique individual with its own specific needs, and we take the responsibility of caring for them very seriously. They are always our number one priority. We are very much ‘home bodies’, which means we are always there to provide security for your home and time for your pets.
In addition we have National Police Certificates which are available for sighting if required.
We look forward to hearing from you and if you need any more information from us, please contact us.
Thank you
Pauline and Paul

Hey everyone, we're Stephan and David, two 31 aged backpackers from Germany. We both quit our jobs, to leave the comfort of our live at home and start a new life of adventure.
We have been granted with a working holiday visa by the Australian government, so the plan is to spend the next year (until September 2019) travelling and working while we live the Aussie life. What a better way to experience this than housesitting: taking excellent care of local homes and pets, as if it were our own, in different neighborhoods/cities/states while the owners are away.
Plus, the lifestyle that a housesitting provide suits our needs and profiles: a quiet place (in comparison to hostel/share flats) where we can relax, have a good night sleep, some cooking to save money, and the possibility to enjoy the company of a furry friend!

Stephan grew up on a dairy farm so he has a lot of experience with caring animals and farming. I have experience at taking care of dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits. We are reliable, neat, tidy and respectful.
We would love to look after your pets, maintain your yard, house or farm and in the mean time enjoy the city.
We are reliable, neat, tidy and respectful. We are absolutly happy to take care of your pets and maintain your garden, house or farm. We would make sure they feel good and safe while you’re gone and will keep you up to date.

Do not hesitate in reaching out to us if you have any questions. We speak english and german. :)

Cheers!

We have owned our own homes and have had small and large pets for the majority of our married lives so we understand why you want your home properly maintained, and your pets looked after. We sold our home in Noosa Heads in November last year and have been house sitting and travelling since, with plans to continue until we feel the need to settle again. We currently have no pets and are empty nesters. We have had experience house sitting, and are both active people. Michael still surfs and we both enjoy walking, cycling, and travelling to new places. Michael requires internet access as he still does some part time work from home.

I currently live and work in Melbourne, living in a share household. I house sit as I also enjoy having time to myself. I also love caring for pets. Over the past years I have sat on many occasions with many homeowners asking me back to sit for them.

I will take really good care of your pets. I genuinely enjoy both cats and dogs. I Like taking dogs for walks and offering lots of affection. Same for cats too...except the walking.

Will also take good care of your property and leave it in an excellent condition.

I have excellent references. A police check. I don't smoke.
I am a friendly respectful guy who is very clean and tidy
Cheers, Patrick

My husband (Peter) and I are both in our mid sixties and decided to rent our house and buy a mobile home and trailer to take our Earth and Space Education Programs and Mobile Planetarium to schools in more remote areas.

We have little work, if any, over the school holidays and sometimes need a house to "recharge our batteries". We are looking for a house/animal sit from June 24th to July 14th or part thereof, in the Bangalow to Gold Coast area while we are on tour.

We both are animal nutters and have even bought dog treats to give to animals we meet on our travels. Our last black Labrador, Windsor, passed away 5 years ago and we are unfortunately unable to have a dog on our travels as we can be often in dog-free zones. We are often asked to dog and house sit by our friends who seem to think we're homeless. We have also house sat many other houses and many and varied animals, for people from this site and their friends. We can provide their names and phone numbers on request.

Neither of us are smokers and my husband has a "keep everything spotless" disease which makes me find him often staring longingly at cleaning products at Aldi while I am buying the fresh fruit and veg. We also have Working With Children Licences which include police checks.

One of our "regulars" has recently added a reference to this web site.

A video about us:

We are traveling the world and getting to know pets all over - common, what could be better than that? :-) We started our journey in June 2018 and we used to say we would like to travel for three months to 30 years. Three months are already over. So here we go.

Why we want to house sit

You need someone to watch your home and your pets - we need a roof over our head. That's a match made in heaven.

But it goes deeper than that. Both our kids love pets. Especially cats. They grew up with two cats from the day they were born (2004 and 2008). While the older one (Ben) loves to watch Youtube videos of computer games, the younger one (Martin) loves to watch cat videos. If we would let him, he'd do it all day long. So a big reason is Martin who would love to connect with cats and dogs again after we lost our second cat (Leeta) in 2017. She was 20 years old and like our first child. If you have a pet you know what we mean!

Leeta was the reason we postponed our dream of traveling the world until we wore both in our mid fourties. Some of our friends thought that this is a little late. We couldn't disagree more.

We want pets, but we also want to travel. So this is at the heart of the reason for our wish to do house sitting.

Our experience

Coming from Germany there is actually not a big culture of house sitting. There is some, but it is nothing compared to Australia, NZ or England. When going on vacation German families usually just let the neighbors take care of their pets and the house.

So this is - at the moment - our main source of references. Our old neighbors in Germany and all their lovely cats.

My husband and I both grew up with dogs. I had a mixed breed dog and Saša had two German Shepards.

We are also completing our first dog sit in Sydney, AU over Christmas and NYE in December 2018/January 2019. Just have a look at our video. We are having so much fun with our dogs :-)

As long as your animals are not dangerous or very difficult to care for we can take care of them and your house. We are very dependable and your house will be in very good hands.

We retired in 2017 and chose to come to Australia and New Zealand for 18 months until June this year. We love the outdoors and are avid hikers and birders. We traveled in New Zealand for six months and did three house sits there. Two of the three house sits were requests to us as a mature couple while we found the third location that fit with our travel schedule. Our references are through another house sitting site but can be provided.

We have been traveling Australia for 6 months so far and will house sit in the country or in the city. We are in TAS through February and will be back to VIC for and March. We have done 3 house sits so far in NSW, SA and Tasmania. Two owner references are on this house sitting site.

We are a very tidy, non-smoking, healthy and responsible couple that will take good care of your pets, property and garden. Before leaving the United States, we house sat for one friend with two cats (one was a very timid cat) and another with a black lab that we walked daily. In New Zealand, we took care of dogs, cats, fish, chooks and a cockatiel (see our endorsements). We have thoroughly enjoyed our house sits so far. The dogs loved their play time and walks. The dogs, cats and even the cockatiel loved their cuddles and neck rubs. Of course, meeting some of the locals has also been a pleasure.

With our stays at Airbnb's, the reviews are all positive where the hosts mention how we have left their place tidy; taken good care of their Airbnb and welcome us back anytime.

While living in the United States, we had an organic vegetable garden where we grew a variety of vegetables from seed. We also created a flower garden to attract the bees, butterflies and birds. Since we are not able to have a veggie garden while on the road, checking out farmers markets during our travels have been on our agenda whenever available.

We are having a great time as we leisurely travel “Down Under.”
Cheers!
Ann and David

A caring house sitter

Judith: 67, Teacher/Lecturer

Hi I am a retired Educator, having taught students from Prep. to University level in NSW, Qld (city & remote) & the Torres Strait, NT remote area, Taiwan, China and Vanuatu. Therefore, I have current Police & Working with Children checks in a number of States. My upbringing, lifestyle & belief system have resulted in me being a: non- smoker, reliable, honest, hard working, friendly & viewing each new situation in life as an adventure waiting to be lived out, type of person. I regard others homes and property with great care as I am sure they would want me to treat them, their home, their pets etc. with respect and kindness.
Raised on a farm & enjoying most animals & gardening I find I can still do the work, but ... a little slower. In my spare time I like to swim, bike ride, organise my stamps & coins, take photographs & listen to music.
I have attended Universities/Colleges in NSW, Qld, Hong Kong, China & Taiwan, receiving degrees & certificates mainly in Education but with some in business & specific computer programmes. Much of my life has been teaching primary & high school students, teachers, Indigenous Australians & Chinese educators. Being able to speak Mandarin Chinese I have been enabled to teach in China as well as teach Mandarin in schools in Australia. As well as working in education, I have managed a small, business, worked with cattle, built fences & grown many vegetables.
From 2012 to 2018 I have lived in my Motorhome which has made working and house sitting in any state easy to attend. I began house sitting in 2016. At present (May - July 2018) I am farm sitting in Victoria. I will then move to Cairns (August - October 2018) to house sit, then Brisbane (November) These sits do not require me to use my Motorhome, it can be stored.
I enjoy longer house sits but am happy to do shorter ones of a few weeks or a month. City or country residences are fine.

A satisfied farm/home owner:
"Judith house and farm sat for me for approx 8 weeks, she looked after my goats and chooks, fed them twice a day, kept the yards clean to perfection, My home was kept in immaculate condition and Judith blended into the small community, she is a very friendly, warm women, If you want a house sitter who respects your pets and house as her own, I would highly recommend Judith and hope she will come again..."

23 November 2017 To whom it may concern Re: Monica from Margaret River as house sitter As you are aware leaving one’s home and pets in the care of someone you don’t know is rather daunting, risky and worrying. Monica house sat for us from 2-20 November 2017 and I was delighted with the care she took of our dog and our home. I returned to find a well exercised happy dog, the house looking immaculate, that garden watered, the sheets washed, beds made up with fresh linen, and vases filled with flowers from the garden. I was delighted. I would not hesitate to recommend Monica as a mature, reliable and conscientious house sitter and would be very happy to be contacted to verify this reference. I would also not hesitate to ask her to house sit again if she is available next year. Tilly is well behaved, extremely social with other dogs and people, does not shed hair/fur and travels where-ever we travel.
As we are both semi-retired, we can devote our time at your home to provide the love and care your pet deserves.
With properties of our own, we are extremely house-proud and treat everyone's property with the utmost care and respect.
We are non-smokers, non-drinkers who enjoy the outdoors, with activities that include gardening, swimming, paddling (outrigger canoes), walking and exploring new sights, whilst meeting many interesting people. We consider ourselves as 'minimalists', who endeavour to live without too much 'stuff' and value the environment.
During 2017 and into 2018, we resided on Norfolk Island, where we managed a B&B and cared for a beautiful home on a 3 acre property.
We completely understand that your task in selecting the correct person/people to care for the things you cherish is complex and time-consuming. Therefore, current police checks, any additional information and references are available upon request.

Update!!! Ross needs a new hip so we had to advise all our pet sits we couldn't sit for them this year. Better to pull out now while they still have loads of time to get new sitters than mid way though a sit. We love what we do! We will be back in action in 2019 so watch this space!
Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 62 and 63 who have lived and worked in the same area for 35 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide lots of references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We also had sits in Queensland, NSW and Tassie and would love a sit in NT, SA, and WA!!
We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that we are retired, our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. We love animals and always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas and he takes his fishing boat.
We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we will try to accommodate our time to suit your needs.
We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and escaping the cold Victorian winters. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions and of course contact details such as your mobile number and email address. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we've found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Luckily for us we have lots of repeat house sits which makes us very happy.
