Hi, we are a semi retired couple in our late fifties taking some time out to travel this beautiful country of ours. Completing the lap in our caravan we are looking for opportunities to stop, park up and explore and housesitting provides an ideal way to do so.
We are experienced housesitters, are very trustworthy and dependable, we are both non smokers and only light social drinkers.
As home owners we understand of the importance of looking after your house and we will treat your property and personal things as we would treat our own - with the utmost respect, keeping your property clean, tidy and secure, caring for it until your return home. We are also very happy to look after your lawn and garden whilst your house is in our care.
We are both animal lovers and will look after your pets in accordance with your directions and just like your house, we will treat your fur babies like they are our own. We have extensive experience with dogs, in particular greyhounds and up until starting our journey we were fostering rescues for GAP.
We are happy to send you updates and pics of your pets to show you they are happy, safe and well cared for.

I am semi retired and would love the opportunity of looking after your pets, home and garden whilst you are away.
I am extremely fit and active for my age, and I am a non-smoker.
I would like to house sit as I enjoy discovering local communities and prefer to avoid hotels and busy resorts. I would rather find a relaxing place to retreat to.
I am a keen gardener and have a genuine love of animals. I have owned a number of cats over the years and my second language is now “CAT”. To be perfectly honest I’m not sure that I owned a cat really, perhaps it should be the other way round. Nevertheless it’s always been enjoyable.

I am highly reliable, considerate & respectful and will take excellent care of your home and pets.
Your home will be kept neat and tidy at all times, inside and out, and will be left in the same condition as you left it.
I would love to house and pet sit for you, and if you require any further information don't hesitate to contact me and I will be only to glad to assist you in any way I can.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

We are experienced long term housesitters, house sitting since 2013 and have completed numerous housesits in both Australia and around the world.

We enjoy getting to know the personalities of the animals we care for and giving them affection (if this is something they like). We have cared for a range of animals including cats, dogs, fish, a sheep, parrots and frogs and enjoyed each experience. We have also maintained a range of different houses, including their gardens, pools and spas.

We are both social workers who are active, we love to walk, run, swim and ride our bikes and then hang out at home on the sofa and relax and read books or watch movies! We are non smokers, we do like the occasional drink but we are not party people and when house sitting we are most likely to be relaxing at home enjoying some quiet time, cuddles with pets and enjoying our environment.

We maintain a blog of our housesitting experiences (please contact me for the url details). The blog provides an overview of each housesit and references, our referees are happy to be contacted to verify any details.

We are home owners ourselves, we started housesitting in 2013 before going overseas for 18 months and we carried on housesitting when we returned to Melbourne. As home owners we know how to care for a home, the importance of maintaining a clean home and ensuring that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.

We are both required to have police checks for our employment which can be provided if required.

When in Melbourne we both work and will need to be out of the home from approximately 8.30 to 5.30 depending on location.

Hi! We are a mature aged, professional couple who own a home in Byron Bay and love travelling and discovering new places!

We are both self-employed (David is a book publisher and Susan is a bookkeeper/BAS agent) and can work from home. We collectively have passions for books/knowledge, food, nature, animals, travel, music, the arts, and life!

We previously house/pet sat in 2013 for 4 weeks at Coolum Beach, Queensland. This homeowner has now re-engaged us for 7 weeks and we are currently taking care of her resort style apartment at Kawana Island, and her delightful puss Phil! (Phil is modelling in our profile pictures.)

In 2019 we’ve decided to house/pet sit for 12 months and will be accruing references along the way. Two references from jobs done in the past are uploaded on our profile and more character references are available on request.

We have also spent the past 5 years offering our spare room in Byron Bay on AirBnB and quickly achieved Superhost status. We have many outstanding reviews from our guests who consistently rated us highly on the meticulously clean presentation of our home, and our warm, friendly, helpful attitude. We ensure that our guests have the best experience possible. A link to these reviews is available.

It goes without saying that we would treat your home with the utmost care, and lavish loads of love and affection onto your precious pets! We adore animals and are hoping that house/pet sitting will be able to fulfill our desires for both travel and animals simultaneously.

We are very flexible with our dates and locations and are willing to travel far and wide.

If you’re looking for a happy, reliable, trustworthy, pet-loving couple who like to go the extra mile then please contact us to discuss your house/pet sitting needs. If distance prevents a personal meeting beforehand we are always available for a ‘cyber meeting’ on Skype!

We wish you all many happy holiday experiences and wonderful travel adventures and hope to meet you and your pets soon.

Dear Home Owners,
I have been house sitting for a number of years now and I thoroughly enjoy taking care of other's homes, pets and gardens when it is necessary for them to be away traveling for work or leisure. It is my belief that if home owner's know their pets and homes are being cared for they are able to go ahead with their plans in a relaxed manner.
I have done house sitting in a number of suburbs in Melbourne; Hampton, Mont Albert North, Kew East, Glen Huntly and Collingwood.. I have also completed house sitting in Castlemaine, a small city located in Victoria's Goldfield's region, approximately 170km from Melbourne, and the beautiful Macedon, approximately 62km from Melbourne. Apart from house sitting in Victoria I have also done some house sitting in Bridgeman Downs, Strathpine and Geebung in Brisbane. I have lived a rural lifestyle and taken care of many animals while doing so.
For the past 23 years I have lived in Mildura and I have worked part time as a Canteen Assistant and a Library Assistant, between 1998 - 2013 and 4 daughters growing up, moving away and getting on with their own lives,
I am a non smoker and I have some documents for home owner's to have a look at to get to know me a little better. Documents for home owners can be found in my References, as well as my Police Check, current Licence and my Passport.

We are a retired couple whose home is in the UK but spend nearly half the year ( Dec-April) in Australia. We love animals but can’t have any of our own at the moment due to travelling and would love to share and care for someone else’s. We are fit, active, clean and tidy and keen gardeners. I grew up with dogs and David with cats and foster a friends two dogs when they want a break. We have no experience with chooks but are keen to learn. We have spent most of our UK winters (Australian summers) in Australia since our retirement, mostly in South Australia where we have family. Although we have seen many parts of Australia on various holidays we are keen to stay in one place for longer to get to know the community, its people and it’s culture. We are very fit and active. We belong to golf clubs both in the UK and in Australia. We enjoy walking and T’ai Chi. We both sing with Sing Australia and I sing with two choirs in the UK. We both enjoy folk, jazz and classical music. I also enjoy pastel painting and, when I’m lucky, I sell a few. I go to the gym regularly and also read and knit a lot. David enjoys cycling and walking and is a keen philatelist and numismatist. We cannot offer references as we have never house sat before but we can provide testimonials and/or supply names and contact details of people who will give references. I have had numerous police checks in the UK (every three years) due to my nursing, health visiting and child protection work but not one that is currently up to date. David was an accountant/auditor. We really want to see and experience more of Australia and plan to be in Australia from the beginning of December until the middle of April.

Hi there, I'm a semi retired 50 something male (non smoker) who looks after people's pets and homes. I have had many happy clients, including lots of dogs and cats and horses and cows (see pics); I'm sure their owners are happy too.

I have many references from pet owners who you can speak to; including police personnel, doctors and business owners, so you can check my bona fides.

I have much rural experience and I'm rather handy with tractors, diggers, ride on lawn mowers, chainsaws and the like. Homes in my care have varied from farms to cute cottages to executive palaces and high security homes.

My preferences are northern rivers of NSW / sthn Queensland and the greater Sydney area, and now, Melbourne. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks :)

Available mid November to 24 December and from 14 Feb 2018.

Hi,

I am a 56-year-old professional with extensive house-sitting experience. I can provide references from many house-sits (over 40 sits to-date) as well as a national police check.

Most of the house-sits I do these days are repeat sits (as many as seven times for one couple) which is perhaps the best form of endorsement, but I'm always looking for new opportunities and experiences. I am interested in house-sitting in Melbourne and nearby rural areas.

I own a family home in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and have owned a number of homes over the past 20 years. My family has always had pets - dogs, cats, rabbits, fish - and caring for yours and showing them the appropriate amount of care and affection would be a pleasure.

My profession is writing and I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to spend my days either working from home or from a city-based office depending on requirements and my preference. That means I can often be around the house during the day to keep pets company and ensure your home is occupied from a security perspective. I have worked for the one company for 20 years - which I guess demonstrates a stable (not boring!) professional life.

I am a non-smoker, light drinker, clean living guy who likes a quiet lifestyle. I'm also a bit of a fitness fanatic, which means walking energetic dogs is a joy. I'm very security conscious and like to keep things clean and tidy.

I'm quite comfortable with pets that need lots of attention having looked after a Jack Russell in his senior years with daily medication, a strict food regime and plenty of pampering. Our family cat also likes plenty of attention - but only when it suits her!

You will find me to be a reliable house-sitter who is very respectful of your property and committed to exceeding your expectations.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Philip

Hello,

We are a non-smoking, mature aged couple who will look after your home and pets as if they were your own. We are willing to travel to most areas of Australia. At the moment we are looking for a house-sit in NSW, Victoria or Q'ld, but are willing to consider/travel other states. We are experienced house sitters, having done many sits over recent years including many return requests.

Our reasons for house sitting are simple. It gives us the opportunity of seeing different parts of this beautiful country, and it also to gives us the opportunity to provide the home owner with peace of mind that their home and animal/s will be extremely well cared for, should we be granted that privilege.

We take pride in what we do, being both neat and tidy. We enjoy a quiet life, are very capable, employ common sense and take care of things the way we would hope some-one would do for us.

We have cared for many different animals, cats (many varieties including Ragdoll, Himalayan, Russian Blue, Birman, Burmese, Siamese, much loved long haired and short haired moggies, all with different personalities and requirements, some indoor only felines). We have cared for number dogs (Malamut-cross, Border Collie, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Staffy, Flatcoat Retriever, Labradoodle, Swiss Shepherd to name a few), fish, chickens and cows a herd of 20+. In recent times we can add sheep and goats. We have looked after suburban properties and rural/semi-rural with water tanks and septic systems, pumps and bio-cycles.

We can provide excellent references upon request. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi - we are a semi retired couple living on the Sunshine Coast in Qld. Below are the points we consider to be the most important reasons for why we have chosen to become regular house/pet sitters:-

We have completed a number of pet/house sits and have found the experience to be really enjoyable and a great way for us to travel to different areas in Australia. We have had some wonderful pet experiences, met some great people and so we can only say really good things about our completed pet sits.
We are, of course, particularly conscious of the fact that we are in someone else's home and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Most importantly, we are animal lovers, have had many dogs and cats and know the one thing a pet owner wants, is to know their animal is happy and well cared for - we have been there ourselves. We always keep in touch via email with updates on how your pet is going.

So look forward to hearing from anyone who may be interested in our minding their home and or pet while they are away.

Reg & I have owned pets all our lives and looked after many extras when our children have ventured into travelling careers or taken extended holidays. We are a very responsible, clean and tidy couple who take pride in where we live, we would look after your home as if it was our own. Reg is handy around the house (being a retired builder) and we both miss the everyday interaction with animals.

We love to travel and we love animals, and we will be happy to pet sit cats and dogs, as we have been pet owners in the past. Birds too! We are young non smoking retirees who are travelling Australia.
We have had dogs all our lives (our children) and now we would like to look after yours. We have rented out our beautiful home on the Sunshine Coast to wonderful tenants who will look after it like we did. We are house proud and likewise we will be proud of yours. (We have References from previous house sits)
We have had 4 dogs over the last 30 years and treated them as our children (we were unable to have kids). They had their own bedroom and were with us most of the time. Our last Dog was a 60kg Alaskan Malamute which we rescued through the malamute association when he was 2 (he was ill treated by 2 former owners). He lived a very good life with plenty of room and love and was always admired when we went for walks .
We had another family's cat that lived with us and our dog for 2 yrs while they were working overseas. We also have friends that have entrusted us to look after their furbabies while they were away.
We also had a neighbours cat that came over every day for company while his owners were at work.
We are honest and reliable and most importantly trustworthy to give you peace of mind while you are away. We also have a "Homeowners Checklist" to ensure that we all know what is expected of us.
We would love hear from you.

I am a mature, responsible and highly conscientious 53 year old lady who is currently on her seventh successful house sit. My 15 year old daughter and I are well-travelled and highly respectful people that adore animals and find we easily establish rapport with them. We often become the ‘aunties’ to our new fur friends on our house sits. We will treat your home and fur babies with lots of care, love and attention. You can be assured you can holiday with no worries at all about your home and your pets. We lead a healthy lifestyle and are clean living and non smoking. I only work online , so can give your fur babies lots of love and attention. I am a friendly, healthy, happy person that is easy to get along with. I do have a unique gift with animals, they almost always like me on first sight, which says a lot about a person. We are currently house sitting as we love the freedom and lifestyle it gives us ( we have a base in Redcliffe, a small cottage) and as we no longer have dogs or cats of our own, just love looking after other peoples. My daughter is very mature for her age and is a lovely person with masses of compassion for animals.
We are more then happy to supply references if you require them, both from house sitting, work, school and personal.
I really hope you consider us as we believe you’ll be very happy with us.

I like to keep a healthy mind and body, so more than happy to walk and or play with your pets.

I grew up with my own animals and have house sat/minded pets previously for friends (cats and dogs).

As I work at the airport, I have undergone a police and security check, if that helps to know :)

We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

I have worked in the Real Estate industry in Queensland and have had the responsibility of ensuring security of homes and properties in the absence of home owners.

I love to travel and housesitting has resulted in very successful recent house sitting assignments in New Zealand ,Avalon, near Palm Beach, Pottsville, Bateman's Bay, Cremorne and Mosman Bay...in NSW. I have enjoyed the company of border collies, a labradoodle, caboodle, cats , poultry and horses.

I have attached the references from these assignments.

I would be delighted to introduce myself to you to discuss your specific requirements and instructions in detail.

I will be able to supply more character references and housesitting references, on request.

I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements. I do have references on this site, from previous happy pet owners. Hope we can assist each other ..

Hi,
We are a retired active non smoking couple who enjoy walking, swimming, fishing and traveling. Over the last 12 months we have had over a dozen house sits on hobby farms and in the suburbs and have thoroughly enjoyed our house sits and grown fond of our pets which have included dogs, cats, fish, ducks, chooks and sheep. We have also developed good relationships with home owners and have been invited to house sit a second time.
Being clean and tidy people, we will respect your home as if our own. We can provide references and police checks if required and our referees are happy to be contacted.
Look forward to our next house sit.
