I currently live and work in Melbourne, living in a share household. I house sit as I also enjoy having time to myself. I also love caring for pets. Over the past years I have sat on many occasions with many homeowners asking me back to sit for them.

I will take really good care of your pets. I genuinely enjoy both cats and dogs. I Like taking dogs for walks and offering lots of affection. Same for cats too...except the walking.

Will also take good care of your property and leave it in an excellent condition.

I have excellent references. A police check. I don't smoke.
I am a friendly respectful guy who is very clean and tidy
Cheers, Patrick

Hello there! Please feel free to look at my profile.

A little about me. I am originally from Melbourne though currently split my time between New York and Australia. I have a clothing label and also work with my father, musician Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio) so we do a lot of traveling back and forth with work.

I have been housesitting for many years now due to my work schedule and take great pride in looking after someones house. I treat it as if it is my own. I have over 9 years experience, so it is reassuring to have someone you can trust and knows the ins and outs of how housesitting works :) We now housesit around the world which is very lucky. We sit places with 1, 2 and sometimes 3 dogs, cats, birds, horses, fish - you name it we have looked after it.

I can provide many references and I am also happy to contribute to utility bills/rent/mortgage and also provide a security deposit if requested for reassurance.

When I housesit, I often update the owners of the animals with text messages, emails and photos just for the comfort of knowing they are okay.

I have a 9 year old daughter but over the summer period in Australia she spends a lot of her holidays with my mother in Geelong and as we don't see her that often with being in New York, so there may be a couple days here and there when she is with me but overall it will be just be in the house. She is very well behaved and enjoy animals as much as I do.

I work full time and am a bit of a homebody so you wouldn't have to worry about parties or loud music, etc. And the beauty of having someone like myself who works from my computer is that the extra safety of having someone home during the holiday season at all hours of the day.

The dates that I will be in Melbourne between Mid November 2016 - March 2017. I am available for housesitting during this period. I also have a car.

Thankyou and feel free to contact me back if you want to organise a skype meeting or a meeting when I arrive back in Australia. I can work on a time convenient for you

Hi there, I'm a semi retired 50 something male (non smoker) who looks after people's pets and homes. I have had many happy clients, including lots of dogs and cats and horses and cows (see pics); I'm sure their owners are happy too.

I have many references from pet owners who you can speak to; including police personnel, doctors and business owners, so you can check my bona fides.

I have much rural experience and I'm rather handy with tractors, diggers, ride on lawn mowers, chainsaws and the like. Homes in my care have varied from farms to cute cottages to executive palaces and high security homes.

My preferences are northern rivers of NSW / sthn Queensland and the greater Sydney area, and now, Melbourne. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks :)

Available mid November to 24 December and from 14 Feb 2018.

Hi, I'm a very experienced house sitter and genuinely love the company of animals and pets.

I work from home mainly paperwork and online work and I am very clean, tidy, non smoker, police cleared and have excellent references. I also have many contactable very happy house sitting hosts I've house sitted for on repeat occasions if you require more references.

I am very experienced with cats, dogs, aquariums and have also looked after horses, farm animals and kangaroos.

I am very experienced in looking after many breeds of dogs, cats, aquariums and also farm animals, horses and kangaroos. It doesn't take me long to form a special bond with a pet. I like to keep pet owners updated with pictures/videos of their pets whilst you are away for your peace of mind so you know your pet(s) are happy and content.

Im also very experienced in DIY, maintenance, gardens, swimming pools from being a home owner and self managing a rental property.

Look forward to hearing from you and looking after your home and pets.

Kind Regards

Hello

We are just joining Happy Housesitters (3 Sept) as they have more sitting opportunites in Sydney. We have been registered with Trustedhousesitters, so please look at our references there (link below), we also have police checks. I shall update this profile with photos etc shortly.

https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/house-and-pet-sitters/united-kingdom/england/bournemouth/l/51324/

We are in English couple who are fortunate to have houses in UK, Sydney and Morocco and now travel between our stays. My partner is a doctor, so often we will be looking to house sit where he will be working as a GP locum. I run our business online and work from home, so I am able to keep a close eye on your home and ensure your pets are extremely well cared for.

House sitting provides us with the flexibility our lifestyle requires. We love to travel and experience different places but it is also wonderful to have a base for a while and discover somewhere new. Also, we are keen pet lovers, particularly cats so this enables us to babysit them! We also have experience in puppy and dog training and have looked after dogs from Greyhounds to Cavoodles and others in between!

We are well travelled and renovated houses in 5 countries, so DIY tasks are easily undertaken. We are caring pet lovers, my partner is often called The Cat Whisperer! We are fit and love walking, aiming for 8km per day but can do less if this is too far for your dog!

Look forward to hearing from you
Abi and Mike

Hi,

I love animals, am considerate, quiet and very reliable. Love to roam and take pictures and feel at home in both urban and country environments.

I have been running Airbnb properties for the past seven years, mostly as a 'superhost' so am clean and responsible around the house, and enjoy meeting new people from everywhere.

House sitting is new to me but care of animals and gardens is not. I have experience with most animals including dogs, cats, horses and wilderness wildlife.

I am hoping to find a long term house sit, but will consider short sits if I am in the area.

I wish to housesit for you as a means to save money while I study for my diploma in teaching English as a second language. I have a housesitting reference in Ripponlea, Victoria and I have a job reference from the Department of Justice, Victoria. I am clean, honest, love all animals, reliable, fit and health-minded. I have a National Police Certificate and a Victorian Working With Children Check card. I have worked for Emergency Management Victoria and am well versed in emergency procedures if issues arise during the summer heat. I've trained my dog (Doberman, Newfoundland, St. Barnard mix) based on Affection Obedience Training method. I've owned 5 cats and 2 dogs in my life. Unfortunately, I do not have any animals now, but I would if I could. I am a trained Montessori teacher, Neuro-linguistic Programming practitioner, and Mediation (conflict resolution) practitioner and I hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work. You can depend on me.

Hi pet lovers and lovely home owners,
We are trustworthy, reliable, caring, friendly & house-proud housesitters.
We will treat your beloved pets & home like they are our own. We are quiet and like to hang out with the animals and rest ...
We are non-smokers and only sit non-smoking homes for health reasons. We prefer secure homes as we need to feel safe and keep your beloved pets safe.
We adore animals & will treat them kindly & with respect. If they have special needs we understand that and can discuss your needs.
We have extensive experience caring for cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, chickens, chicks, some farm animals, birds, fish & gardens. We are happy to consider reptiles (secured where necessary obviously! :-) ) and all other cuddly/crazy critters.
Unfortunately, we can't care for cats anymore (unless they are hairless) as Melissa developed an allergy to cat hair ! :-(
Melissa has a current working with vulnerable people check (full background & police check). Andrew has a current police check & security clearance through his work in the government. We have previous police checks, through Govt careers & neighbourhood watch (Previous NHW Area Coordinators).
Melissa has RSPCA experience where she investigated animal cruelty and helped protect animals in danger. We take the care of animals very seriously, we know how much they are loved and need to be looked after.
Housesitting written reference available and multiple housesitting referees happy to speak with you :-).
**PLEASE READ BELOW RE FAMILY HOUSE-SITS IF YOU PREFER NO CHILDREN**
**Although our children are respectful, love animals and have done many successful house-sits with us, we understand that some people prefer no children. One of us adults are able to do occasional house-sits without the kids, so are available for house-sits which request no children.**
We hope to hear from you.
Warm regards,
Melissa & Andrew

We are a retired, non-smoking, quiet living couple.

We are well-traveled and when we stay in a property anywhere in the world we look after it properly and leave it in very good order, clean and tidy.

Although we are UK based we are always looking for opportunities to stay in Australia.
We have considerable experience of house/pet sitting with cats mainly, but also with other small animals, here in the UK and in Australia. We also had cats for over 35 years!
We have, of course got references and a police check.

Currently we are available for the following period:

Mid-Dec 2017 to mid-Jan 2018 (4/5 weeks) when we will be extending an already planned Oct/Nov visit to our daughter who lives in Sydney. The tickets are booked and paid!

We are a professional couple located in Canberra and have previously completed a local house sit in between the sale of our house and the purchase of our new one. We have a seventeen year old daughter who loves school and enjoys part-time work. She is a mature young lady who loves animals of all shapes and sizes. We enjoy meeting and looking after new furry friends during house sits and our daughter currently does this in our home for Don't Fret Pet.

We are clean and tidy non-smokers who respect other peoples property and privacy. Whilst we don't have Happy Housesitters references we are happy to forward both of our work histories which include over two decades service in the AFP and an executive HR management role with a not-for-profit.

Our house sitting interest at the moment is for holiday breaks (either in or out of school holidays) as a family, or sometimes individually as I (Tony) don't work full time. Occasionally I am happy to get away for a break by myself. My wife encourages it;-)

If you are after a small family who will take care of your pets and home as if they were their own then we would love to help.

Graeme & I are a retired couple, continuing our Australia wide travels and are now heading towards South Australia. We recently house sat at a place called
"WALLAN", VICTORIA. Before that at:- "LOCHINVAR", near Maitland/Hunter Valley/Newcastle and at:-Beechwood, nr. Wauchope/Port MacQuare. We do have reference etc., if required.

We have our own 30ft Fifth Wheeler, so are quite self-contained. Just require power and water. We have done house sitting in the past and also caretaking positions. One was in Tasmania, some years ago, for 12 mths. We were caretakers, for the South United Football Club, at Runcorn, Qld, for eighteen months and lived on site. We also, have recently been caretakers, for a property at Cleveland, Qld, before we left, to head off. If you wish further information, in regards, to the above, please do not hesitate, to let me know.

My husband was a self-employed carpenter, for many years, but recently was a truck driver/delivery man. I have been a Property Manager and then a Senior Property Manager, for many years and most recently, for nearly 12 years, for a Company, in Sunnybank Hills, Qld, so I know all about looking after properties, like they were your own. We did have a 10 acre property, as Jimboomba, which we have sold.

We do have one, wells supervised dog, called Sally. We also have a mature, female cockatiel and we love bird watching and nature, in general.

Kind regards, Louise and Graeme Cox.

Hi,
We are a retired active non smoking couple who enjoy walking, swimming, fishing and traveling. Over the last 12 months we have had over a dozen house sits on hobby farms and in the suburbs and have thoroughly enjoyed our house sits and grown fond of our pets which have included dogs, cats, fish, ducks, chooks and sheep. We have also developed good relationships with home owners and have been invited to house sit a second time.
Being clean and tidy people, we will respect your home as if our own. We can provide references and police checks if required and our referees are happy to be contacted.
Look forward to our next house sit.

We are a healthy and active retired Melbourne couple, married for many years, who have been both home owners and renters. During the past two years we have completed several house sits in Victoria, and we are now looking for another position, preferably for a period of three months plus.
We very much appreciate that the secret of good house sitting is to care for the home, garden and any pets involved as if they were our own, and are confident that we can do so as required.
References are available upon request. Please contact us if you wish to consider us as your house sitters

Hi! I enjoy house sitting to live in new places for short periods of time, seeing new landscapes and experiencing life in a different areas. I like going for walks around the neighborhood and seeing the locals. I have previously house sat for cat and dog owners. I grew up with dogs, fish and yabbies (low maintenance yabbies!)
I am a clean person, I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I like to play music when cooking, enjoy burning candles/incense and am an avid reader of novels.
I am able to supply references for people I have house sat for :)

I am a single, mature aged, non-smoking gentleman with experience in house and pet sitting.

As a recently retired school teacher, I am looking for an opportunity to extend myself and broaden my travelling experience by living in an area for longer than a fleeting visit as is usually the case when taking a holiday from work.
I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, walking, and recently, craft creations.

Whilst not having my own pets these days, I have had the rather usual menagerie of a cat, dogs, fish, guinea pigs, white mice and chooks.

I have a reference and photos which are attached.
I look forward to be of assistance.

Regards

Richard

I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.
I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you.
I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?

I have the time to devote to your pets to keep them happy and healthy while you are away and make sure your home is secure ,clean and tidy.

I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy.
My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything.
I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements.
Hope we can assist each other .

I am a happy, friendly, 60 year old semi-retired house-sitter who is a fit, non-smoking, mature female; honest, reliable, house and garden proud. I grew up on a farm thus have familiarity, experience, patience and love for animals and pets, having grown up caring for many various pets of my own.

I have a passion for gardening and landscaping; I have the time to care for, walk and empathize with your pet/s missing their owner/s while keeping your home safe and as you left it. I have always owned my own homes and worked in responsible professional positions; married for 37 years to an electrician who works away six months of the year, with adult independent children living interstate pursuing professional careers.

I will respect your home, garden and beloved pets with the care I show my own. I can supply a Police Check, Working with Children Check (pets are our children!), House Owners and character references when required.

I am willing to listen carefully to your instructions, preferences & requirements. Thank-you, Dianne :)

A responsible & trustworthy 33yr old non-smoker, I have housesat worldwide & have great references. I love having animals around me, & especially adore cats and smart dogs. I am house-proud, & really enjoy every-day tasks of caring for a home as if it were my own. A scientist turned yacht-stewardess, I am now focused on becoming a freelance lifecoach. Sitting gives me time to focus on online courses & plan (& save) for further study, so I can reach my goal: a freelance life-coach with a focus on self-empowerment - inspiring the Self to achieve one's goals.

*** I worked for a number of years as a medical scientist, saved and bought a townhouse in Melbourne, before deciding to see the world, pursuing my love of nature and animals by participating in various volunteer projects in Latin America for two years, then working as a yacht stewardess to supplement further travel throughout Europe. I have been lucky to housesit (and boatsit) caring for many different pets all throughout my travels, which in turn gave me with much-needed animal companionship and a place to care for as if it were my own. Now I am returning to Australia for a few months to help out my best friend and her new baby (who i will visit at their home in Warragul).

*** I will not be working in this short time but plan to spend quiet time studying from home - so I will have heaps of quality time to spend with your pets and be added security presence for your home. I enjoy my own time and quiet space and am the sort of person who prefers to meditate or do yoga than go out to parties. I do not take drugs, and am a firm NON-smoker. I do enjoy the occasional glass of wine with dinner.

*** I am an extremely clean and tidy person, (force of habit from working in the yachting industry) so I appreciate the same in my surroundings. Any effort you make to clean and tidy your home before you go will be returned in-kind as I always leave a home better than how I found it, and with more joy in my heart for doing so when it is obvious you take pride in it too.

*** I have used Happy Housesitters in the past when I had to leave my own cat and home, so I totally understand how you feel & will keep you updated via email, facebook, whatsapp or Skype, as frequently as you wish, whilst you are away. The health and happiness of your pet, security of your home, and your peace-of-mind are my top priorities. Happy holidays!

*** I can provide great references upon request (many of my sits have been overseas and by word-of-mouth, so references have not been sent through the happyhousesitter site, though I have plenty), and am happy to meet either in person if possible or via Skype, before you commit so you can see if I will be the perfect fit for you & your pets.

*** I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, fish, and birds.
I am experienced & comfortable with administration of medicines. Please contact to discuss any requirements.

*** I love all animals and seek first and foremost to keep them comfortable and happy, healthy and enjoying life. No request to this end is ever too big or too small.

Hi there!

My name is Nikki, I'm a 28 year old female from Scotland and I am studying my Masters in Landscape Architecture. I came to Melbourne in July 2017 to study and I will be staying in Australia until my final year of uni starts in Scotland in September 2018. My next semester starts in January but it is distance learning, so I will just be studying from home and don't have to attend uni which is why I thought about house-sitting. I've been renting an apartment in the CBD since I arrived but since I spend most of my time studying in the house anyway it would be nice to have a furry friend to keep me company and I would also get to see other parts of Melbourne.

Unfortunately at this point in my life I can't have a pet of my own because of university and travelling but I love all kinds of animals and I'm especially experienced in taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fish and bearded dragons. The beautiful miniature pinscher you see in my pictures is called Benji, my friend saved him from a breeder who obviously didn't care about the wellbeing of her puppies and as a result he developed some behavioural problems and was aggressive and possessive. I offered to foster him for her until he was ready to be around other dogs and as you can see with a little training and a lot of love he turned into the perfect little gentleman and can't get enough of cuddling on the couch.

I worked as an in-home carer for disabled adults whilst at home in Britain, therefor I have been extensively police checked and received specialist training and have certificates that confirm I am legally entrusted with the care of the most vulnerable people in society. I conducted personal care for severely disabled individuals and took them out for activities and assisted with general day to day living like shopping, preparing food, doing chores and I also maintained their homes for them so I am experienced with house cleaning. If you are interested in my references I will provide you with contact details for my previous employer who can verify my police check, that I worked there for over a year (the only reason I reluctantly left the job was because I was coming here to study) and that I am trustworthy and have the experience necessary to care for your house and pets. You also know that I couldn't have a criminal record or I would not have been granted a Visa or entry into Australia and I will provide you with photocopies of my drivers licence (full, manual and clean) and passport so you have my personal details.

I'm more than happy to send you daily pictures or video calls so you can see that your pet is being treated with the love and attention they deserve. I don't drink or smoke, I am a clean and quiet lodger and will provide a reference from my current landlord (who lives in the property with me) to confirm this. I am happy to meet you prior to making any house sitting plans so you can decide if I'm a good fit. I am a warm, compassionate person just looking fsor a furry companion to keep me company during my studies, I'm looking for longer house sits preferably around a month so I can see different parts of Australia but not have to move around too often. I'm happy to sign a contract with agreed terms and will even provide you with a bond to ensure your peace of mind.

I look forward to hearing from you!
Nikki

Hi, my name is chantal, I am a digital nomad / entrepreneur and have returned home to Melbourne for 6 months (feb/mar 2018) for business purposes and to visit family & friends and thought that house sitting is the prefect solution. I am an active 38 year old single female with loads of energy and a great appreciation for the great outdoors. I am an experienced pet / house sitter, considerate and house proud.

I have experience looking after pets great and small, house dwellers to adventurous, goofy to highly intelligent, sporty to lazy and I love love love all creatures great and small, they bring me so much joy! I also have a non-for-profit organisation that my friends (in the pet industry) I want to set up in the future which helps the elderly, disabled and others in financial crisis take care of their pets with financial and medical support.
