We are on the road to retirement & looking forward to the next stage in our life, we are still doing some work via the internet & this means that we will be around for most of the time to care & watch over everything for you.As well as travelling & having new experiences along the way, we have found that house sitting really suits us as it is so comforting to stay in a friendly home environment & if there are pets or animals to look after, then their company is an added bonus! We love animals & wildlife & have had a long experience in caring for dogs, cats & farm animals. Unfortunately we no longer have our own pets, so we would welcome the opportunity to care for yours. I'm a mature aged, non-smoking female who has chosen to housesit as an alternative to renting. I've been housesitting since September 2011 and I really enjoy the lifestyle. House-sitting is a great way to save money until I can afford a place of my own, plus I enjoy experiencing different places. I love animals (was raised on a dairy farm), and am experienced in dealing with all their cute little quirks (and messes!) and providing a load of pats and affection if required. However, having a pet is not a requirement for me to house-sit.I keep the homes I house-sit for in good condition and am very respectful of the homes I care for.. Owners have been very happy with the condition I leave their homes, gardens and pets in and I've had many return house-sits and referrals as a result. Any tasks that need to be done in your absence - like mail collection and putting out the bins - are part and parcel of the house-sitting lifestyle and I'm happy to do them for you. I work at home part time for a super company and I also do some writing so I spend much of my time working on my computer. The good news for you is I'll be around to keep your pets company and hold down the forte, so your pets will be well looked after and your home will be well attended. I enjoy my own company and peace and quite around the house. When I'm at home it's just me, so you can rest assured that there won't be a continual procession of visitors stampeding through your home. Of course, I can go on about how responsible, reliable and trustworthy I am....but why not get in contact with me so you can decide for yourself. I have great referrences and a police check...what more can you ask for in a sitter?

hi, After my last child is now independent and my old dog has also departed ,it is time for me to wander.I am an experienced animal lover , have lived both urban and rural environments and enjoy what both have to offer. I am a non- smoking, vegetarian(so no fatty cooking smells in house). Am respectful of other`s property and have house sat friends and family .`s properties.I am healthy and active so exercising animals is not a problem.I grew up with boxers as the house dog, my last two were a Gordon Setter and a Beagle/Foxhound.They departed at ages 14 and 12 after long and happy lives.I have shared my home with assorted cats,Spotted Tabbies, moggies, etc.(which used to follow me around the paddocks as I went for an evening stroll!}I have also been involved in rounding up sheep, assisting difficult lambings and have reared 2 lambs whose mother had quads and she claimed 2 abandoned the other 2.They were happily reunited later. I am looking forward to helping you! Best regards, Karla
We are an older couple. We own our own home and we recently lost our little dog who had been with us for 17.5 years. Our little dog was certainly "part of the family". We are retired. Peter is a retired Senior Sergeant with the Victoria Police. He still works in the judicial system as a Justice of the Peace. I have a current Police Check. I was a teacher/school counselor. We have had experience house sitting and we do know how we would like people to respect our property so naturally we would do the same for others. We really love to travel and visit new places. We enjoy walking and reading when we are on holidays.Your house would be left just the way we found it on arrival. We can provide references if required.
We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are certainly respectful, house-proud sitters, with Tony being a dab hand at housework and gardening while Helen is something of an expert at quality control, and you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.

I have always owned my own homes and worked in responsible professional positions; married for 37 years to an electrician who works away six months of the year, with adult independent children living interstate pursuing professional careers.I will respect your home, garden and beloved pets with the care I show my own. We are experienced Aussie housesitters, retired accountant and agricultural scientist, grey nomads, non smokers, and both dog and cat lovers, having owned our own pets all our lives, and looked after numerous and various animals as housesitters for other homeowners, like yourselves. My husband and I were introduced to the concept of housesitting when we retired in July 2005. Since then, we have combined travel with housesitting in Australia, New Zealand, England and Europe and made lifelong friends along the way. So far, we have undertaken 100+ housesits over the past 12 years since retiring from full time employment. For ourselves during the course of our life, we have owned large dogs; boxers and german shepherds – all obedience trained - also cats, fish and poultry. We both retired from our jobs in the Northern Territory and sold our home, with a swimming pool, owned for 20 years. We plan on continuing to travel whilst we are healthy and until we get the travel bug out of our system. Our motto is to treat your home and pets as we would expect our own home and pets to be treated - with respect, love and care.I was born and bred on a farm in South Australia, lived there for 21 years before moving to the Northern Territory, where my working life continued as an accountant. My husband is a Queenslander, and worked as an agricultural scientist in 2 Australian states, during the course of his working career. We can provide written references, photos and police clearances, if you require further info. – but basically, we are just ‘grey nomads’ – enjoying retirement and travelling around England, Europe and Australia whilst we still have our health and are able to travel. Thanks for your time

I am moving to take up a new full-time position with Elders in Tassie.I have previously house sat and can provide a reference if needed.I am a tidy person and can look after the garden. My interests are tennis, golf and reading and this house in Mt Stuart would provide the perfect opportunity to tide me over while I look for a permanent residence.I have friends I can stay with until its available.
Hello. I am a retired, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on firstname.lastname@example.org anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva

I keep healthy and fit and walk every morning. I work as a children's photographer and two days a week as a nanny for three hours. I mostly work on the computer at home, editing footage and updating my photo blog, except for the nanny work and a few 2hour photoshoots per week. I am very competent and will be happy to take on any extra needs your property or pets may require. I will collect your mail and check on your neighbours! I also do pet portraits. Please feel welcome to send me a message or call me if you think I may be what you are looking for and we can arrange to meet. Hello there! Please feel free to look at my profile. A little about me. I am originally from Melbourne though currently split my time between New York and Australia. I have a clothing label and also work with my father, musician Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio) so we do a lot of traveling back and forth with work. I have been housesitting for many years now due to my work schedule and take great pride in looking after someones house. I treat it as if it is my own. I have over 9 years experience, so it is reassuring to have someone you can trust and knows the ins and outs of how housesitting works :) We now housesit around the world which is very lucky. We sit places with 1, 2 and sometimes 3 dogs, cats, birds, horses, fish - you name it we have looked after it. I can provide many references and I am also happy to contribute to utility bills/rent/mortgage and also provide a security deposit if requested for reassurance. When I housesit, I often update the owners of the animals with text messages, emails and photos just for the comfort of knowing they are okay. I have a 9 year old daughter but over the summer period in Australia she spends a lot of her holidays with my mother in Geelong and as we don't see her that often with being in New York, so there may be a couple days here and there when she is with me but overall it will be just be in the house. She is very well behaved and enjoy animals as much as I do. I work full time and am a bit of a homebody so you wouldn't have to worry about parties or loud music, etc. And the beauty of having someone like myself who works from my computer is that the extra safety of having someone home during the holiday season at all hours of the day.The dates that I will be in Melbourne between Mid November 2016 - March 2017. I am available for housesitting during this period. I also have a car.Thankyou and feel free to contact me back if you want to organise a skype meeting or a meeting when I arrive back in Australia. I can work on a time convenient for you Feel free to look us up for more information:www.frenchieyork.com (my label)www.misstailor.net (another one of my businesses)www.itallcomesdowntoyou.com (my blog)www.maysatronsworld.wordpress.com (maysas blog)www.melbourneskaorchestra.comCheers!Sera
