Hello. I am a retired senior federal public servant, mature (sadly!), married woman looking to do some house sitting. I live with my husband in our own home on the Gold Coast and we currently have a dog and a cat. I am an experienced "pet" person, having had all manor of animals in my home, from mice, birds, fish to cats and dogs. Our own dog (a kelpie) is currently 7 years old and a very crazy young thing, needing lots and lots of exercise. He was supposed to be an outside dog, but somehow that rule hasn't been fully applied! Our cat is almost 4 and is very much busy with chasing the dog around. I am able to garden, clean the pool, look after the house and pets. I am a non smoker. Though I plan to "house sit" usually by myself, there would be times when my husband would join me for a short break. We are both thoroughly house trained! We are planning to formally retire in a few years and I feel that house sitting in different places would help me to get a feel for various districts by living like a local, rather than as a tourist. I am most happy to look after pets and would look after your home well. I have now done many house sits (and many return sits) and can forward names and contact details for these house owners as references. I have a written personal character reference that I can send on to you as well. Hopefully all will tell you how wonderful I am. Oh, and also that I am honest, reliable and trustworthy. You can email me on eevahelena@yahoo.com.au anytime. My preference is for short breaks, up to three weeks or so, and around the ACT or anywhere in NSW. Thanks. Eeva

I recently returned to Australia after 20 yrs living and working professionally in Japan. I would like to help those needing good, reliable and diligent pet and house minders. I have often used people for this service myself so understand how important it is to find a good and dependable minder, I love all animals and more importantly I am trustworthy and know how to keep a home in good order.

On a personal note, I am married with children, own 2 great dogs and a new kitten; currently work in contract roles on a casual basis with Defence in Melbourne, so this allows me to have alot of free time to assist people when they need it most. Thank you. Paul and Makiko

About me:
I am an experienced house and pet sitter that enjoys taking care of pets and seeing new places. I enjoy the opportunity and friendships that house sitting brings. I don’t have my own pets so I really enjoy spending time with the animals while house sitting. I am a trustworthy, responsible, clean and non-smoking Australian male (37). I have a lot of house and pet sitting experience. I am reliable, practical, and easy to get along with. Your pets and home will be extremely well looked after by a capable person. I am a serious house sitter, one that does what they say they will do.

I am currently completing my post graduate studies in Psychology. I have dedicated my career to helping people get through hard times and become the best version of themselves. I am off campus so I study from home and this allows for additional time with the pets and keeping an eye on the house. This is part of why I have decided to do house sitting. The other reason is that I really enjoy it! I enjoy the variety of living in new places and meeting new and interesting people such as you! House sitting provides an enjoyable and adventurous lifestyle for me.
I have a current national police security check. In my work I have gained security clearances at the highest level that have allowed me to work at government sites such as ports, airports, government offices and defence sites which you need to have a clean record to obtain. I hope this indicates to you my trustworthiness. I have my own car and am independent in my style of living.

Pets I have looked after:
I go above and beyond with pet care. I love all types of animals and have looked after almost everything you could find in a backyard. This includes mostly dogs, cats and budgies, but also parrots, stick-insects, lizards, snakes, horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, hermit crabs and even a tarantula! I do my best to not disrupt your pet’s routines so I feed them and walk them as close as possible to the same time that you do. I am happy to spend extra time with needy animals that get upset when their owners are away. I always make sure all pets eat enough each day. I also can administer medicines, worming tablets if need be. Any special dietary requirements are catered for and an extra walk or games no problem at all. In the case of an emergency, I will contact you and drive your pet immediately to your preferred vet.

I have looked after many rescue cats and understand they can sometimes need extra time and affection. From 2013-2015, I saved, reared and fostered 21 stray kittens at my house. They all were tamed, vaccinated, micro chipped, de-sexed and found happy homes!

Types of houses I have looked after:
I have experience looking after large multi storey homes with extensive gardens and pools, houses on acreage, normal size family homes and small apartments.

Extra things I can do:
If you like I am happy to send you email or text updates on the house and pets so that you know everything is ok and see how your furry friends are going.
Clean the pool if you have one.
Mow the lawn and water the gardens.
I will collect the mail every day and If you like I can forward you any important mail via email if you need me too.
Put out/bring in the garbage bins
Start car if needed to prevent battery going flat (please note I have my own car and would not drive yours).
I leave the house fully cleaned before you come back so that you arrive to a fresh tidy home. This includes the pool and gardens. I can also mow the lawn if you need it.
I can also pick up some groceries before you come home so you can take it easy when you arrive. Most people like to come home to fresh milk, bread and juice.

A quick note
I also prefer that we have a written agreement that outlines my duties with detailed instructions, vet contact, trusted person or family member contact (if you are overseas), authority to be in the house while your away (Id like it if the neighbours don’t think I am squatting in your house!) and any other things that may be needed to be carried out around the house.

I am happy to send you some references if you request.

If I sound like the type of house or pet sitter that you would like then please contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
Brett

Introduction
Hello - I am at a time of life where I am available to be the brilliant house and pet sitter you are looking for. I am a single professional, self-employed Australian with two adult sons (pursuing their own careers). With no family around me, I no longer need to be based in one location. I enjoy the freedom that house sitting offers where I can be a devoted animal lover to other people's pets while enjoying your location. Being agile and moving to different cities suits my Internet based (email traffic, not heavy downloads) work very well and as I have lived in almost all of Australia's capitals & various cities overseas, I am very much at home wherever I am.
I will consider any sit with a preference for long house sits (3-12months). I am open to being in any location, city or region…here are some of my favourites: NYC, Spain, Malta, Central America, Chile, most countries in Europe and NZ. I am self employed as a facilitator, business management consultant and executive coach where I conduct my work 'virtually' via the Internet & Skype. This means I can work anywhere as long as I have fast, reliable Internet.

Why I want to house sit
Through past house sitting experience & as a home owner with my own regular house sitter, I recognise the value of house sitting to pet lovers & security for your home while giving me flexibility & variety in lifestyle. I have travelled extensively over the years and am resourceful and socially inclusive. Your pets and home will receive my responsible and loving attention and I will be proactive by staying in touch to keep you informed about how everything is going without being a burden. You can learn more about me via my LinkedIn and business websites which I'd be happy to send you, along with my CV, biography and character referees, for information. I live simply and cleanly and will be very respectful of your home, belongings, security and privacy. I don't own a car, so, I’d welcome the use of a car if possible please, especially for overseas or remote/ distance house sits.

My experience & promise to you
I promise warmth, openness, transparency and genuine care of your pet family and your home. My 'home based' work allows me to offer a strong presence & companionship for your home & pets. I have been an Australian Army Officer with a top secret positive vet security clearance (21yr), consultant to most Australian Commonwealth Govt departments and 3yrs as deputy chair and director Crime Stoppers & National Trust boards. I pride myself on maintaining high integrity, sound judgement, balance, reliability and being a proactive communicator. I'm also very loving and gentle with animals. You can depend on me to keep you informed and to make decisions about your pets and home with your priorities in mind. I am comfortable with all types of animals and those with special needs. I will reach out to people in your immediate community network, as advised by you, if needed. I've been a home owner for 25+yr, an animal lover for life and I know the value of a quality house sitter. I've had the joy of 7yrs experience as a host to my own house sitter, so I fully understand and respect the responsibility that comes with this position. I am also a 'live-in' sitter for people with frequent short absences, so I can be there while you come and go.

My aim is to give you absolute peace of mind while you are absent while having a cost effective home solution for myself (as a 'local'!) in a new environment. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet family. My previous hosts are all happy to chat with you and I can email you their references if you wish. Wherever possible, if I am in your city, I will always try to meet with you and your pets in advance of the sit so we know that 'everyone' is comfortable. Warmly, Lisa

NOTE: It's always worth checking in with me in case I am free due to hosts' change of plans. I like to make contact in advance with potential hosts so we can see if we're a fit (for your pets, you & me) in advance of a future sit. Let's chat!

Have done a number of house sits through this and one other site over the past 24 months. Some of these have been by me alone, and some with a partner who moved overseas for family reasons, in 2012. My new partner over the past 12 months is retired and is selling her home in the country. She recently joined me for a 3 week house sit at a small Bass Strait island and loved it.

These have included a substantial house in Melbourne eastern suburbs with 40 birds, 5 chooks and 2 dogs, a 5 acre luxury tourist property in the Melbourne Dandenong ranges with one very large 13 year old dog, two house sits in a lovely family home with a delightful Bichon dog in Melbournes east, a short sit in a smaller modern house with a jack russell and budgerigar, a 4 month house sit in a small outback Queensland country town with a Fox terrier and a young cat. I recently looked after a luxury two story property in inner Melbourne area (gardens only/no pets)

During 2013 largely on my own, I house sat at a 5 acre luxury home and a cat on a small bass strait island for 14 days, then a 3 week I house sat for a young single mum in a country town near Echuca with a cat and young border collie. In May/June I looked after a 20 acre property in Blue Mountains with horses, 4 cats and a dog. This was followed by 3 house sits with a variety of pets in WA and SA from July til end September 2013

I am semi retired, non smoker with a 4wd and caravan, and willing to travel to most parts of Australia. I mostly prefer medium term sits (3 - 8 weeks) but can be flexible, especially if it fits in with my schedule.

My background includes a variety of management and training roles as well as some trade/logistics experience.

I have owned several dogs, one cat [but seem to some how have a real affinity with a range of cats] and several ponies in past times, and are comfortable and responsible with gardens and homes of all types. I have a limited experience with farm animals (mostly cattle and sheep)

I can provide a range of references as well as a current police certificate.

I work part time in native regeneration and Venue Set-up. We both love to travel and find that house/ pet sitting is a fulfilling way experience living in various places. Between us we have cared for dogs, cats and birds; milked goats and hand raised dozens of kittens. We are neat, sensitive and enjoy a quiet smoke, drug and alcohol-free lifestyle. We are both flexible with work and commitments and treat animals (incl. humans) with care and sensitivity. We both have a current working-with-children-check, (similar to a police-check) available at your request. We understand that everyone has differing ways to care for pets (and homes) and are accommodating and easy - going. References available.

I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I will respect your home and your privacy.
My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything.
I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements.
Hope we can assist each other .

I hope to sit Winter in 2018 in Northern climes so if you have need of a reliable, clean non smoking sitter for your home or pets let me know.Happy to chat by phone or Facetime.

I am a retired University & TAFE Lecturer. I own my home, have a reliable car and since I worked overseas for the last five years I currently have no pets. Previously though I have lived on the land all my life.Have had cows, horses, pigs and all kinds of poultry, fish and house pets. I have had several dogs ,my last was a pure bred blue roan cocker spaniel. I was owner of Serendip Siamese and bred and exhibited Siamese and Foreign White cats. My last lovely cat died at age 17 before I left for work overseas. I am familiar with most farm animals, though not for the past five years while working overseas.
I am a keen gardener and past Secretary of our local Garden Club plus a former committee member of Noorat Residents Association. I have family all around Australia and like to house sit and incorporate brief family visits while sitting interstate.
I am a responsible, honest, caring animal lover, a house proud non smoker & non drinker who loves to read ( addicted to my iPad which has 500 books for me to choose from while I sit for you !). I like winter sitting in northern climes and being home to water my garden in Spring/Summer if possible(so I take only short local-ish sits during this time). I will consider sits in Perth for two/four weeks over Christmas which would allow me to see family and spend some of Xmas day with them.

I am new to this site but have been sitting privately and with Mindahome and have reviews available as an attachment here. As a Teacher I have had a Victorian Police Clearance and Working with Children Check for work- now expired due to retirement). I now have a Federal Police Check Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police (Australian National Police Check Certificate).
I will care for your home and garden as my own, and your pets with loving care and attention.
Thank you for your consideration.

We are experienced Aussie housesitters, retired accountant and agricultural scientist, grey nomads, non smokers, and both dog and cat lovers, having owned our own pets all our lives, and looked after numerous and various animals as housesitters for other homeowners, like yourselves. My husband and I were introduced to the concept of housesitting when we retired in July 2005. Since then, we have combined travel with housesitting in Australia, New Zealand, England and Europe and made lifelong friends along the way. So far, we have undertaken 100+ housesits over the past 12 years since retiring from full time employment. For ourselves during the course of our life, we have owned large dogs; boxers and german shepherds – all obedience trained - also cats, fish and poultry. We both retired from our jobs in the Northern Territory and sold our home, with a swimming pool, owned for 20 years. We plan on continuing to travel whilst we are healthy and until we get the travel bug out of our system. Our motto is to treat your home and pets as we would expect our own home and pets to be treated - with respect, love and care.
I was born and bred on a farm in South Australia, lived there for 21 years before moving to the Northern Territory, where my working life continued as an accountant. My husband is a Queenslander, and worked as an agricultural scientist in 2 Australian states, during the course of his working career.
We can provide written references, photos and police clearances, if you require further info. – but basically, we are just ‘grey nomads’ – enjoying retirement and travelling around England, Europe and Australia whilst we still have our health and are able to travel. Thanks for your time

Availability: from 26/05/18
Pref Melbourne area. CBD, Northern & Eastern Suburbs, & Warragul. Am open to fly/drive anywhere else if costs covered. Pls enquire.

Responsible & trustworthy 33yr old non-smoker. Worldwide housesitting exp, many great references & repeat clientele.

I love having animals around me, especially adore cats and horses, and have a soft spot for well-behaved dogs. I am house-proud, & really enjoy every-day tasks of caring for a home as if it were my own. A scientist, ecologist then yacht-stewardess, I am not quite sure i have finished with travelling the world, but it sure is nice to come home for a while. Housesitting is a lifestyle choice, and one I am considering turning into a professional business. As an animal lover, and a long-term traveller, I recognise the need for quality in-home care for pets, and the confidence that your most beloved companion is not just comfortable, but also genuinely loved whilst you are absent. Whilst my currently-nomadic life doesn't allow for my own pets, I take much pleasure in caring for your much-loved family pets in their home environment, knowing I am providing them with consistency in their routine and a comfy lap and scritches at their merest hint of the request. I am honest, careful, with a high attention to detail, respectful of your wishes & your property, have a police check & many references. Clients repeatedly tell me I go "above & beyond" and "exceeded their expectations." I do have extremely high standards, and go to great lengths to ensure your pet's every comfort & emotional need is met, and that your home is welcoming upon your return.

*** BACKGROUND: I worked for a number of years as a scientist, saved and bought a townhouse in Melbourne, before deciding to see the world, pursuing my love of nature and animals by participating in various animal volunteer projects in Latin America for two years, then working as a yacht stewardess to supplement further travel throughout Europe. I have been lucky to housesit (and boatsit) caring for many different pets all throughout my travels, which in turn gave me with much-needed animal companionship and a place to care for as if it were my own.

***WHAT I DO: I have recently returned to Australia for the purposes of visiting my best friend and her new baby (in Warragul) and to exact some repairs upon my (currently tenanted) townhouse in Glenroy. At this time I am also researching various courses I am interested in pursuing (such as yoga-teacher training, and a diploma of veterinary sciences) as well as investigating the possibility of starting my own professional pet-sitting business. I do not intend to work in this short time so I will have heaps of quality time to spend with your pets and be added security presence for your home. I enjoy my own time and quiet space, and am the sort of person who enjoys meditation and yoga, walking through parks & forests, quiet reflection, writing, and cooking fresh and nourishing meals. I do not take drugs, and am a firm NON-smoker who appreciates a smoke-free environment, so please do let me know if you are an inside smoker, so we can determine if this might affect our mutual suitability.

*** CLEAN & TIDY: I am an extremely clean and tidy person, (force of habit from working in the yachting industry) so I appreciate the same in my surroundings. Any effort you make to clean and tidy your home before you go will be returned in-kind as I always leave a home better than how I found it, and with more joy in my heart for doing so when it is obvious you take pride in it too.

*** REGULAR UPDATES: I have used Happy Housesitters in the past when I had to leave my own cat and home, so I totally understand how you feel & will keep you updated via email, facebook, whatsapp or Skype, as frequently as you wish, whilst you are away. The health and happiness of your pet, security of your home, and your peace-of-mind are my top priorities.

*** GREAT REFERENCES: I can provide great references upon request (many of my sits have been overseas and by word-of-mouth, so references have not been sent through the happyhousesitter site, though I have plenty), and am happy to meet either in person if possible or via Skype, before you commit so you can see if I will be the perfect fit for you & your pets.

*** EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE: I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, fish, and birds.
I am experienced & comfortable with administration of medicines, and small-med farm tasks. Please contact to discuss any requirements.

*** HAPPY, HEALTHY PETS: Finally, I love all animals and seek first and foremost to keep them comfortable and happy, healthy and enjoying life. No request to this end is ever too big or too small.

Hi there! We are an Aussie female couple. Nat is an ex-Australian Federal Police Agent and Jodie an Ex-Resort & Accommodation Manager.

Now aged in our late 40's we have been happily moving around the world as FULL-TIME PET & HOUSE SITTERS since early 2013.

Our references from over 40 home owners who we have loved sitting for, sometimes many times over during the last 5 years, are attached to this profile as individual documents from each year (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017). We can also provide phone and contact details for verbal references if you prefer.

A bit about us...

Natalie enjoyed a 13 year career in the Australian Federal Police, and Jodie has over 20 years experience in hotel and resort management, tourism and hospitality throughout Australia. We bring this knowledge, care and responsibility to your home.

To say we love house sitting is an understatement. As natural teachers, we have spent the last few years helping others get started as confident and caring house sitters through our online course, the 'House Sitting Academy' and our own private network of quality sitters.

This work does involve us needing reliable internet on any house sit we take on.

Since the majority of our time is spent working online, we would spend most of our days and nights at home with your pet/s.

For more information about us, including all our references and projects, please visit our personal site at www(dot)NatnJodie(dot)com.

We always love meeting with home owners through Skype video so we can make a personal connection with you and your pets, and feel into whether we are the perfect match for each other.

WHAT WE BRING TO YOU...
OUR BACKGROUNDS -
We are a vibrant & active couple who love animals & nature, connection and learning about new cultures and people. We bring our vitality to your pets and property, to spend quality time with your animals each day, giving them the same love & care we have given to our own pets since we were young, and to care for your property.

Nat's 13 year career in the Australian Federal Police (certificate available on request) was spent largely in VIP Protection looking after the Australian Prime Minister, overseas Heads of Government, and various royal families, and a further 6 months in East Timor serving with the United Nations.

Jodie has over 20 years tourism and hospitality experience, managing and maintaining various sized properties and Resorts all over Australia.

We have both grown up with many pets in our lives since very young (including a many varieties of dogs, birds, Diamond Pythons, and tropical & freshwater fish) so having pets and looking after them is second nature to us; In fact it is strange not to have pets in our lives. We now always choose house sits with pets where we can.

OUR PREVIOUS HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCE -
Between us we have done over 40 house & pet sits over many years in various countries, which has taken us from extremely remote rural properties, to snow environments, tropical jungles, the inner city, suburban and smaller village life.

Along our journey we have also had to deal with extremes of climates and environments, from humid rainy season jungles, hurricane season in the Caribbean, sub-zero snow conditions in a number of Canadian & US winters, to living at altitude (3000+ meters), and are equally comfortable in all.

We have also been involved in the professional training of several dogs we have minded.

Due to Jodie's background, some of our assignments have included the management of in-house staff, B&B's and holiday Gites (self contained) for which we have been paid. Outside of such assignments however, we DO NOT charge for our house sitting, instead being massive advocates of the fair exchange aspect of house sitting and the ‘Sharing Economy’.

OUR OWN PROPERTY EXPERIENCE -
Over the years we have both owned our own homes as well as multiple investment properties between us.

As such we are well used to:
• Caring for and maintaining property
• Chlorine and salt water pools
• Jacuzzis
• Indoor and outdoor plants, gardens, lawns, greenhouses and vegetable gardens
• The responsibility for the general running of a household

We both appreciate the importance and value of owning a home, possessions and pets.

YOUR PRIVACY & SECURITY –
With our Federal Police & Resort Management backgrounds, security & privacy is of utmost importance for us, and we fully appreciate it is for you as a home owner providing your home & possessions for house sitting. You can be completely assured your home and assets will be completely secure and maintained with us. Natalie held an Australian ‘Top Secret’ security clearance for many years in her Federal Police VIP Protection work.

WHY DO WE LOVE HOUSE SITTING?
Simply put, this is our life & our livelihood!

Our internet based education business has enabled us to break free of any fixed location for work & allowed us to live a full-time 'digital nomadic' lifestyle since early 2013... a lifelong dream for both of us!

97% of our time has been spent house sitting since we left our previous fixed location of Dubai in 2013, and we have absolutely loved every minute of it. To us, experiencing back-to-back house sits with absolute ease since we started really shows us that we living our heartfelt purpose... and it certainly feels that way.

We envisage living this lifestyle for many years to come, especially since sharing house sitting experiences and tips to inspire others to experience it, has now become the focal point of our business itself.

House sitting is an incredible lifestyle for us, combining so many things we love. We absolutely adore the company of animals to break up our work life and enrich our experience, and enjoy constantly experiencing different locations & people of the world.

Ultimately, we find ourselves at this stage of our lives really desiring to not just travel, but live for periods in different locations around the world for our own enriching experiences and to also facilitate our business ventures.

Thankyou for taking the time to read our profile. We really look forward to connecting with you & seeing if we are the perfect match for each other.

Kindly
Nat & Jodie

I would be grateful to be trusted with looking after your property. I would be genuinely caring of your home and animal/s and maintenance of your garden, plants and lawn.
When you return you would find everything clean and tidy. I would certainly want the same respect shown for my own home.
I understand some home owners may be anxious about leaving their pet/s. I am very happy to follow all instructions given to me. I would be happy to give you updates and photos of your pet/s whilst you are away.

I am seachanging to the Peninsula from Hillside. In the meantime I am enjoying house and pet sitting.

About Zoe---
Hello! I am excited to be able to offer you my experience in caring for my homes and pets over the years! I was a pharmacist for 35 years, and yes....that means I am very detail oriented and like to keep a very clean, organized home! I am fit, work out at the gym, and keep active with hiking, cycling, walking, and kayaking whenever I can! I have also done some casual housecleaning work, which I enjoyed (!). I miss my Westie cross "Chester" and within family members in Winnipeg, there are 7 cats and 4 dogs---who are ALL so much fun!
Why I want to house sit---
Now that my 4 children are grown and on their own, and I have downsized tremendously, I am ready to travel the world to care for homes and pets and meet new people! ( Not to mention the privilege of being able to hug, walk, feed and care for many new animal friends!) I miss not having a dog at home and really enjoy interacting with the many cats in my life---including all their unique personalities! Having grown up with a father in the Airforce, and moving a LOT, I am very adaptable to new environments and love the adventure of discovering new places and people! I am looking for longer house sits. I am a very caring, compassionate, conscientious person who loves people and animals, and am looking to use those skills in taking loving care of homes and pets so people can travel, knowing that their home and pets are in trustworthy, experienced hands!
My experience---
I have owned many homes over the years, while raising my children, with our dog, cat and rabbit(s)! As a single parent/homeowner, I have learned how to maintain a house well, and also to troubleshoot and know when to call for assistance! I have also earned money from housecleaning--so your house while be extra clean when you return home! I have done house sitting for my son and looked after his cat Sterling and his German Shepherd/Husky Cross- Elliott. I also have experience pet sitting cats through "Trusted House Sitters" and have 5 star references, as well as a criminal record check on that site. My own experience looking after dogs and cats within my own home comes in extremely handy. And surprisingly, as a pharmacist, I have had experience in dealing with customers and their pets regarding illnesses and medications as well! I am confident in being able to handle any health concerns with pets, as well as knowing when to call or go to the vet.
****I am happy to supply my references, as well****

Hi! I'm a teacher, Illustrator and toymaker. I work from home so am able to care for your home and pets full-time. I am a responsible non-smoker with many years experience house-sitting and am able to provide references on request. I am a widow with a lovely well-behaved 14-year-old daughter who home-schools. We both adore animals and guarantee we are able to provide the care you need for your pets. I have owned and looked after cats, dogs, bunnies, birds and chickens. I am also more than happy to house-sit where there are no pets and you simply need the garden cared for and house looked after.
House-sitting allows my daughter and myself to enjoy and experience the many diverse place in Australia whilst giving us flexibility.
I assure you your property and animals are in great hands.

I am a clean person, I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I like to play music when cooking, enjoy burning candles/incense and am an avid reader of novels.
I am able to supply references for people I have house sat for :)

We are two retired guys who own a house in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and are renting it out for a year or so to drive around Australia.
We would love to house and/or pet sit for other people on the way while they enjoy their time away.
We have rented houses around NSW and Qld and have always treated them as if they were our own as is testament by the excellent references we have been given by the Property managers, and this is the way we would look after any properties that we are lucky enough to sit.
We have had extensive experience with both domestic animals...cats, dogs, birds etc. after having owned all of these at some stage...one of which is shown in the pic I have uploaded...as well as farm animals whilst owning acreage in NSW and Qld.
We are both extremely clean & tidy people, non smokers and like to ride push bikes, play tennis and go to sporting events like AFL, Rugby League, tennis etc.

Update!!! Ross needs a new hip so we had to advise all our pet sits we couldn't sit for them this year. Better to pull out now while they still have loads of time to get new sitters than mid way though a sit. We love what we do! We will be back in action ASAP so watch this space!
Hi, my husband and I are recently retired teachers 62 and 63 who have lived and worked in the same area for 35 years. Of course as teachers we had regular police checks and we can also provide lots of references. After retirement we went to Canada, Hawaii, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. Yes we have caught the travel bug! We also had sits in Queensland, NSW and Tassie and would love a sit in NT, SA, and WA!!
We are friendly, reliable and caring and now that we are retired, our children have grown up and our beloved pets passed away we are rattling around our house with time on our hands. We love animals and always look after all our friends and neighbours pets, houses, gardens and mail when they are away. One of them suggested pet and house sitting as it involves travelling, animals and gardening! As a retired couple we are available for any length of time and we can plan to house sit everywhere in Australia for the next 12 to 24 months after which time we hope our children will provide us with grandchildren to spoil. As my husband Ross is a very keen fisherman we try for locations close to good fishing areas and he takes his fishing boat.
We will take meticulous care of your house, mail, indoor plants, veggie gardens and lovingly look after dogs, cats, birds, fish, chooks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We are more than happy to be in touch with you prior to the pet and house sit and we can also give you updates during your trip so get in touch with us any time to discuss your needs and travel dates as we will try to accommodate our time to suit your needs.
We prefer the northern areas of Australia during the winter months and escaping the cold Victorian winters. Ross is a keen fisherman and gardener, I adore reading and writing and tend to be more of a home body and we both really enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. You can leave knowing we will take extremely good care of your pets, house and garden and while you’re away. Ross and I are looking forward to getting to know you and giving your pets our love and attention. Prior to handover we would prefer a written list of your requirements and instructions and of course contact details such as your mobile number and email address. We know the importance of trust in this relationship and can assure you of our honesty and love of animals, in fact we've found the hardest part of pet sitting is saying goodbye to the pets because we grow so fond of them. Luckily for us we have lots of repeat house sits which makes us very happy.

  • ACT, NSW, Alice Springs, Darwin, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC

We are two retired, active, music and food loving schoolteachers with a penchant for travelling and enjoying new experiences. We have been involved in house and pet sitting for many years and in many places throughout Australia and overseas. While we have a home in Adelaide, we enjoy a nomadic lifestyle in our motorhome, which makes it unfair to have pets of our own. Housesitting allows us to indulge our love of animals and over the years we have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and the like, with dogs, whether big and boisterous or small and cuddly, being our special love. We are also meticulous in the attention we give to each property, whether it be an apartment, a suburban block or a rural spread. Recent experiences have included a 10 month stint on a Daintree acreage, return visits to a horse property and 3 months caring for two houses in the south of France. As Tony is something of a dab hand at housework and property maintenance and Helen is an expert at quality control, you can rest assured that your property and pets will be cared for as if they are our own. We will happily provide you with contact details for phone referees if required.
