Ready for a move but am uncertain where that will take me, I've enjoyed house sitting in a range of locations getting a feel for the area.
Currently working from home, though usually visit clients one or two afternoons a week.
For the most part I enjoy exploring new areas on foot, though I do have a car as it is required for my work.
Love most animals of the furry kind, but do not currently have my own pet due to Landlord restrictions.
I am familiar with caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds, having had my own pets in the past and helping extended family with theirs.
I look forward to caring for your house and pets in a manner in which they are accustomed.
I have been house sitting since July 2017. I am enjoying spending time with new furry friends and getting to know some new neighbourhoods.
I have a current Working with Children check, which includes regular police checks.

  • Melbourne, Geelong

Hi there. Just a little introduction to who I am.

About Me:
I'm a happy, quiet, capable and energetic grandmother. I can provide impeccable references, I have a police check and am happy to undergo any other checks you need.

About Me with Animals:
While my four children were growing up we loved and cared for many animals, including dearly loved, eccentric cats, rescue dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, an incredibly bold and affectionate budgie, mice, and a beautiful rat named Genevieve,

About why I am here:
I have just retired and am ready to spread my wings, Since I love to feel I"m helping others and also adore animals, a good friend suggested that house and pet sitting might be a brilliant way to get started.. So here I am, a bit shy, but excited to meet new furry (and human) friends.

I look forward to giving your home and your furred and feathered friends the love and attention they need when you cannot..

Sincerely,

Clare

DECEMBER 2018, NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
Hi, my name is Clare and I am an artist. I was an art teacher in TAFE and high schools until I retired. I have been living in Tasmania for the last three years and have just moved back to the mainland. I am hoping to settle around the Ballarat area. So I need a temporary base while I look around and try to buy a property. I have been a home owner for the last 25 years and have looked after dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, fish and an axolotl! I have been an active member of the Huon Valley Dog Walking association. .(Unfortunately my much loved dog has recently died.). I have house sat before when I initially moved down to Tasmania, and can supply references from this family, and the real estate agent who has just sold my house will verify the condition in which I maintained it, so you can be assured that I will care for your house and animals and garden with the utmost diligence. I am available from mid October, early November. . I am hoping to find a housesit reasonably close to Ballarat.

Someone you can absolutely count on! 38 references available.

Hello, I am Clare, 64, retired ABC radio broadcaster and experienced house/pet-sitter of many years (see references for details). Although I have cared for a delightful variety of farm and domestic animals in the past, my preference these days is to care for cats, or other not too demanding or boisterous animals.

I lead a simple life - studying (French language and literature), walking, swimming and seeking to maintain good health in aesthetically pleasing environments within 10 mins of the sea. To this end, I alternate between the coastal areas of Tasmania (Oct - May only) and mainland Australia, often returning to the same homes at the ongoing request of their owners.

My home bases are Mona Vale, NSW and South Arm,Tasmania.
I have numerous references available and all referees are happy to be contacted personally.

Lauren & Sam

  • Melbourne, SE Vic, Geelong, Grampians, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

Our names are Lauren and Sam,

We are a a non smoking engaged couple aged in our 30s living in Blackrock Melbourne, we both work full time (Sam works shift work so home some days to walk and play and cuddle animals) and we have no children.
We love travelling, the outdoors, walking, hiking, camping, reading and anything to do with wildlife and animals.
We would look after your home the way we would look after our own, we are a clean and tidy couple and take pride in our cleanliness, and our motto is a place for everything and everything in it's place. We are very house proud and would find it a privilege to take care of your houses, pets and gardens and anything else required.

We have experience with house sitting and pet sitting, and have excellent references. We have done it for the past 10 years on and off.

I am a 31 year old non smoking woman and work full time as Head of Graphic Design for Tango Group International based in Moorabbin Victoria.
I am extremely conscious of the care and security needed to maintain a home. I have grown up with dogs and cats and many more smaller animals such as rabbits, Guini pigs and birds. And therefore believe I would be a great candidate to take care of yours. I am available for housesitting and am happy to provide more reference upon request, as well as police checks or any other relevant checks. I am a hard working, responsible, caring and considerate person and would take excellent care of your home, pets and property.

Sam is a 32 year old Entertainment Rigger and is based in Melbourne, He is an extremely hard worker with a positive attitude, he has experience in looking after other peoples pets mostly dogs and helping others keep their homes clean and secure. He has grown up with animals and has always had a dog (at times more than one) as long as he can remember. We can not go for a walk without him patting all dogs he sees along the way.

We regularly look after a house in Ocean Grove and their dog Della for Margie and Gream Mclean. They also have a private AIR BNB and we have been helping them out on occasions with change overs ….cleaning the apartment, bathrooms and kitchen and changing the linen in the bedrooms. We love their Dog Della and she gets very excited every time we go back to housesit and look after her.

We both find it a huge privilege to be chosen to look after others homes and animals and feel lucky to get the opportunity when we can.
We think we would be the perfect candidates to look after your homes and animals and they would be in great care.
We take these jobs very seriously and always do our very best at maintaining a clean and happy home.

Janet & Larry

  • North Coast, Brisbane, South Eastern, Melbourne, Macedon Ranges, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

I have recently retired so I can spend more time writing, and travelling with my partner Larry. I was a Professor of Management, teaching for an Australian university. My partner Larry is Canadian/Australian and also a retired educator, as well as a Cordon Bleu trained cook and landscape gardener, who has built two houses. Our own homes have included two owner-built houses on acreage, and renovating others; inner city townhouses, plus owning and maintaining land.

Wherever we stay or housesit, we like to offer more than just caring for any precious pets or what was requested: in addition to any fur baby sitting we can cook, garden, do basic maintenance and jobs, and keep your neighbours happy with our presence.

We enjoy travelling, meeting people and immersing ourselves like a local; and housesitting gives us that opportunity. We both study and read a lot (writing, gastronomy, history, languages etc) and staying in a home environment allows us to do this in comfort, whilst enjoying many hours in the company of affectionate pets who are missing their family. We also enjoy gardening and this is another reason why housesitting suits our lifestyle.

We have experience house and pet (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, chooks, goats) sitting in Australia, France and Canada, as well as having had several pets in our family (dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, hens and birds). We are non-smokers. Referees/references and recent police checks available.

Ange

  • Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

Hi there,
We are a small family of three (soon to be 4!) with a beautiful & very placid golden retriever (she’s a total sook).
Our background - Ange is a teacher who currently works online from home delivering a unit for University (BEd) students, Lee is a construction manager working in the Geelong/Surf coast region.
Our son has just turned 2yo & we are expecting a little girl early April 2019. We are just about to undertake major renovations on our house in Geelong West (great timing we know!) & are looking at housesitting as a possible option to help us survive the 4-5 months it may take till completion.
As parents we understand having children & a dog in tow can be a little daunting for someone looking to let their house but please be assured both Lee & I have high expectations of our little one & pup & the care & respect they take of their living environment. Both are beautifully kind & exceptionally well behaved. We are very clean, tidy people and can assure you your house would be returned to you in the same neat and tidy condition you left it in.
We LOVE animals and have had pets all our lives. Our golden retriever gets on well with other dogs & animals & is very gentle & loyal (she very rarely leaves our side). Our son has also learnt to respect animals and is extremely gentle. (We also keep a very close eye on him around animals which just helps to ensure everyone is kept happy).
Having just planted a front garden of our own, we also understand the importance of ensuring this is well looked after through watering, weeding and mowing. We are also looking forward to getting chickens of our own once our renovations are complete!
We’d love to chat with you further ??

We arrived from the States in the 70’s, recruited to teach, and loved it so much we stayed! We are responsible, reliable, non-smokers and will look after your home in the same manner that we have looked after ours.
We have sold our large house (downsizing from 2 hectares to two bedrooms) and are now retired. We are great walkers and love all animals, having had many over the years.
We have house sat in the past (in Ashgrove, Qld. looking after the lovely Lola, two year-old poodle as well as Lucy in Mitchelton and two schnauzers in Fitzgibbon in 2016, 2017 three lovely little dogs in Forest Lake, Gizmo the cat in Carindale and the schnauzers again in Fitzgibbon, all references below). We are happy to be flexible with your dates. We have used house sitters when we have travelled. We understand how invaluable a good house sitter can be. We'd love to look after your precious pets and would treat your house with the respect that we would hope a housesitter would treat ours. Available for Facetime interview if requested. We hope to hear from you at your convenience. Thanks for the opportunity. Mary and Wayne
Police checks, references are available.

We are a retired couple, recently married. have recently retired. Jim retired after 30 years working for IBM in the USA and Australia. Shelly was a hair designer for 20 years in Denver. We are honest, clean, responsible and friendly. We don't smoke. Having retired, we want to "try out" different communities around Australia before settling down. We have always had pets, both dogs and cats, and they seem to love us (in the case of dogs) and cherish peaceful co-existence we provide (for cats). Hehe. I lived on a farm for five years with ducks, chickens, sheep, horses and guinea pigs. We promise we will take great care of your home and everything in it, your pets, and your garden as you would yourself. We are available for any length of time after 1 December 2018. Personal and professional references are available, as are police certificates.

Thank you for the chance to free you from worry as you are away from home.

  • ACT, Melb. Inner suburbs, Melb. NE suburbs, Melb. SE suburbs, Bendigo, Macedon Ranges, North Eastern, Shepparton & Central North, SE Vic, Ballarat, Geelong

I am new to house sitting and am looking for a way to have an alternative holiday while being helpful.
As someone who has lived in many different houses, owned farm animals and domestic animals, I am well-experienced to care for your home and animals. I was a breeder of Australian Mist cats for a few years in NSW, owned border collies and also had cashmere goats and a horse in central Victoria.
I am security-conscious and careful to lock windows, doors and gates to ensure pet safety and home security. I keep a tidy house, and would keep yours in the condition I found it or better.
I am a working mum with one primary-aged child. I am a non-smoker and vegetarian. I am kind to animals, communicate well with their owners and, if necessary, the vet. I have passed all previously required police checks, have government baseline security vetting and am happy to supply character references. My availability is generally limited to ACT school holidays.

  • Melb. NE suburbs, Bendigo, Macedon Ranges, North Eastern, Ballarat, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

I'm Gerard, 33, married to Ashley, 22. We're both young professionals living in Elsternwick, Melbourne.

We're looking to house sit in towns close to Melb or outer Melb suburbs e.g. Kyneton, Castlemaine, Belgrave, Sassafras, etc. We want to move to one of these areas sometime in the next couple of years so we want to try and test them out by house sitting.

We do a mix of work from home and work in the CBD. One of us would be working from home on most days so we wouldn't always be having long commutes and leaving your home/pets unattended.

We love animals so more than happy to take care of them. We have our own dog, Maggie, she's a 9 year old quiet girl who is fine with other animals (she's fine around cats, birds, chooks, goats). Would love to bring her with us but can arrange for her to stay with friends it that doesn't work at your place.

We're active, tidy and reliable people. We'd be keen to go out walking and explore your area when house sitting.

Jennifer & John

  • Melb. Inner suburbs, Melb. SE suburbs, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

We are able to administer oral medications, eye and ear drops and injections as required. We understand the importance of communication and can use SMS, email or Skype to keep owners informed

  • Canberra, Sydney, Tweed Coast, Alice Springs, Gold Coast & Hinterland, Sunshine Coast, Adelaide, Barossa Valley, Kangaroo Island, TAS, Melbourne, Geelong

Good Morning,

We are a non smoking and non drugging (but not boring) couple in our early 60.

After coming to Australia in the early 80's, we raised our family of 3 children.
Oldest daughter lives next door with her husband and the 3 kids and they own a number of restaurants in Brisbane.
Next daughter lives in Sydney and is a radiologist and our youngest, a son, lives in Melbourne and works for the Ombuds man as a mediator taking care of people who have disagreements with their insurance company.

We have had a successful printing business in Brisbane and after that bought a large run down house in Dunedin (New Zealand) and transformed that in to a luxury B&B.
Video's of Our property are still on youtube: https://youtu.be/YRIKRW871M8

After finishing the B&B we did some housesitting, first in Portbello near Dunedin as we wanted to stay near the property while we still owned it and rented out as apartments and later back in Australia while we made up our mind as what to do next.

Now we live on a 5 acre block with our oldest daughter and her family so we are going to do some housesitting just for fun and to see some more of Australia. We have travelled around Europe a lot but have seen painfully little of Australia!

We have experience with dogs and cats, obviously can tackle any emergencies that need taken care of with your house or animals.

Looking forward to hearing from you if you feel we could help you out and we would enjoy your property.

Olly, a builder, works around Melbourne and I spend most of my time with Micah whilst holding an online nutritionist job.
We are outdoorsy folk + love to live a healthy lifestyle. We enjoy surfing, travelling, community volunteer work and foodie experiences.
We understand the importance of treating anothers home better than our own, we are tidy, non-smokers and will be very respectful of your home, pets and property.
We have experience in house sitting and would love to chat further if you are interested in letting us look after your home in your absence.
Kindest regards,

  • Geelong

I have grown up around animals with my family raising guide dogs, 3 of which have become fully qualified working guide dogs and one who has been re-classified and lives with my parents.

My father has become unwell in the last year, and housesitting in the area my mum lives will give her the support she needs with me being close by, it will maintain my independence and give her the space she needs as well.

I am currently studying primary school education and am on maternity leave from my full time job which gives me the flexibility to maintain any feeding/walking schedules in place.

I have house sat for 2 families previously, both travelling in Europe for 6-8 weeks. Each of these households required some gardening, collection of mail, general maintenance of the property and taking care of pets. I am able to supply references upon request.
