Clare

  • Melb. Inner suburbs, Melb. NW suburbs, Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong

Hi, my name is Clare and I am an artist. I was an art teacher in TAFE and high schools until I retired. I have been living in Tasmania for the last three years and have just moved back to the mainland. I am hoping to settle around the Ballarat area. So I need a temporary base while I look around and try to buy a property. I have been a home owner for the last 25 years and have looked after dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, fish and an axolotl! I have been an active member of the Huon Valley Dog Walking association. .(Unfortunately my much loved dog has recently died.). I have house sat before when I initially moved down to Tasmania, and can supply references from this family, and the real estate agent who has just sold my house will verify the condition in which I maintained it, so you can be assured that I will care for your house and animals and garden with the utmost diligence. I am available from mid October, early November. . I am hoping to find a housesit reasonably close to Ballarat.

Megan

  • Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

Hi! My name is Megan and I'm a respectful and reliable 32 year old school teacher and aged care assistant. I now have close to 12 months of house sitting and pet sitting experience in places with and without animals. The animals I have looked after are dogs, cats, chickens, worms and fish, and being a country girl, I grew up with chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, cows and sheep.

I have been house sitting on the Bellarine Peninsula for the past seven months in a row and am absolutely loving this beautiful part of the world! I'm very flexible and adventurous so I'm happy moving around and trying new things. I LOVE dogs (and other animals) but haven't been able to get my own yet, so I love the idea of house and pet sitting.

If you have any questions about me please feel free to get in contact!

Peter & Mary

  • Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

Peter and Mary Peter: 66, Retired. Mary: 67, Retired.

We have sold our home of 26 years and are now looking forward to building and reestablishing on the Bellarine Peninsula Victoria. We would like to take care of homes for other people during that transition, so we can be close-ish to the new build. We have both recently retired from working in schools and have current police checks. We are both non smokers and would treat your property as you would want it treated. We are dog lovers and have enjoyed dogs of our own in the past but are currently without any animal company. We are experienced house sitters and have also pet sat for both family and friends many times over the years.
Cheers
Mary and Peter.

Hannah

  • Melbourne, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

I am a 27 year old looking for opportunities to house/pet sit in Melbourne (close to the CBD) from December 2018 as I have moved from the UK to spend a year working in Australia. Prior to starting a full time job I would really love to do some work experience/volunteer work but this is difficult to do whilst affording rent so the opportunity to house sit would make this possible.

I’m a big animal lover and hope to have my own pets when I can, so it would be great to look after any animals whilst house sitting. I am particularly good with dogs as I regularly dog sit my sisters cavalier king Charles and having a pet would really be a bonus for me. I love being outdoors too and gardening as well and would be happy to help with odd jobs.

Ideally I am seeking opportunities anywhere between 1- 3 weeks and I'd like to be close walking distance to public transport. My sister and her husband house sat at many locations around Melbourne in 2013 and highly recommended this experience to me. I’m a friendly, reliable, non smoker who is extremely house proud and I take great care in keeping my own home clean and tidy.

Please let me know if you have any queries or would like to meet me to see if I might be the right fit for your home and pets.

I hope you will consider me.

Hannah

  • QLD, Melbourne, Bendigo, North Eastern, North Western, SE Vic, Geelong, Grampians, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd, WA

We arrived from the States in the 70’s, recruited to teach, and loved it so much we stayed! We are responsible, reliable, non-smokers and will look after your home in the same manner that we have looked after ours.
We have sold our large house (downsizing from 2 hectares to two bedrooms) and are now retired. We are great walkers and love all animals, having had many over the years.
We have house sat in the past (in Ashgrove, Qld. looking after the lovely Lola, two year-old poodle as well as Lucy in Mitchelton and two schnauzers in Fitzgibbon in 2016, 2017 three lovely little dogs in Forest Lake, Gizmo the cat in Carindale and the schnauzers again in Fitzgibbon, all references below). We are happy to be flexible with your dates. We have used house sitters when we have travelled. We understand how invaluable a good house sitter can be. We'd love to look after your precious pets and would treat your house with the respect that we would hope a housesitter would treat ours. Available for Facetime interview if requested. We hope to hear from you at your convenience. Thanks for the opportunity. Mary and Wayne

Trish

  • Melbourne, Geelong

Experienced sitter looking for long or short term house sits in Melbourne.

Hi there,

My name is Trish, and I'm the ideal choice for caring for your home and pets whilst you are away.

I am a 38 yr old, non-smoking female who is responsible, attentive and honest.

I spent most of my twenties and early thirties travelling the world. I see house-sitting as a great solution for seeing Australia and saving my pennies for my own home.

I have a fair amount of house-sitting experience having looked after and cared for people's homes and pets in Sydney for a year in 2014, with proven references, and also in Auckland in 2017 and in the last year in Melbourne.

A few helpful things to know about me:
- I'm an animal lover and grew up with cats, dogs, pigs and guinea pigs
- I generally work full time Mon-Fri
- I am well-traveled and spent 3.5 years working on luxury super yachts so have a high standard of cleanliness, always leaving the homes I look after in great appearance
- My friends would most likely describe me as diplomatic, loyal, responsible, honest and caring

When you choose me as your sitter, you can rest assured that your home will be well looked after, your plants will continue to flourish and your pets will be loved as if my own.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions. Please let me know if you would like to chat further and I can call you. I think house sitting is a wonderful idea and I look forward to meeting amazing people and furry friends along the way, and being able to help in whatever way I can.

I have references and police check on file and more endorsements here:

Thanks
Trish

Katherine

  • Macedon Ranges, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

I am a quiet, gentle, honest person who loves animals and natural beauty. I enjoy walking and being outdoors, sitting in the garden and listening to the birds singing. I am creative, having studied painting and drawing and I also like to write.

After moving out of home and living in country Victoria for five years, I travelled to the UK for 15 months (where I did a three-week house sit looking after two boxer dogs and a cat) and now have moved back home to Melbourne where I live with my mum, dad and brother. I miss having pets but thought it wiser to not take any on if I am not sure where I want to live in the future. At the moment I enjoy the creatures that visit our garden and have 'adopted' a little blackbird who likes to follow me when I am outside for the treats I give him.

In the past my pets have included budgerigars, a canary who must have escaped from his home who was flying around our place, I managed to catch him and he became part of the household after no one claimed him, a Brittany Spaniel dog, a "rescue" dog and a rabbit. I like patting the cats around the neighbour hood and have house sat for a relative with a cat a number of times. My 11-year old nephew has a cockatiel that I look after when the family go away.

I would like to try house sitting in country and coastal areas of Victoria so I have the opportunity for peace and quiet from the busyness of Melbourne to reflect and gain inspiration for writing. I like having animals for company and enjoy caring for them. When I had my own little place outside Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges, I put many hours of hard work into the garden and interior decoration so that it was a beautiful home and special place to be. I would show the same respect and care in any house or pet sitting position.

Janet & Larry

  • North Coast, Brisbane, South Eastern, Melbourne, Macedon Ranges, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

I have recently retired so I can spend more time writing, and travelling with my partner Larry. I was a professor of practice, teaching for an Australian university. My partner Larry is Canadian/Australian and also a retired educator, as well as a Cordon Bleu trained cook and landscape gardener, who has built two houses. Our own homes have included two owner-built houses on acreage, and renovating others; inner city townhouses, plus owning and maintaining land.

Wherever we stay or housesit, we like to offer more than just caring for any precious pets or what was requested: in addition to any fur baby sitting we can cook, garden, do basic maintenance and jobs, and keep your neighbours happy with our presence.

We enjoy travelling, meeting people and immersing ourselves like a local; and housesitting gives us that opportunity. We both study and read a lot (writing, gastronomy, history, languages etc) and staying in a home environment allows us to do this in comfort, whilst enjoying the company of affectionate pets who are missing their family. We also enjoy gardening and this is another reason why housesitting suits our lifestyle.

We have experience house and pet (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, chooks, goats) sitting in Australia and Canada, as well as having had several pets in our family (dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, hens and birds). We are also non-smokers. Referees/references available.

Jemma

  • Melbourne, Gippsland, Geelong

Hi, I'm Jemma and I am a personal care attendant (PCA in aged care) and nursing student who lives in country Victoria. I have two little pups (Peppy 16, Jaffa 6) and a cat (Jinx) who are my world. I often house sit in Melbourne in exchange for accomodation whilst on nursing placement and it can be hard to find accomodation as I live 2 - 3 hours from the city (traffic dependant). House sitting is perfect for me as it provides me with accommodation as well as company. I find that when I stay away on my own (months at a time) in the city, I can get quite lonely so a companion or two would be really lovely. I have lots of experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, chickens, turtles and even animals like wallabys and emus as I grew up (and still live) in the country.
I am extremely clean, neat and organised, I am a non-smoker and I don't drink as I am too consumed with my work and education currently. I have current first aid, working with childrens and police checks available if required.
I'd love to hear from you if you're interested, so email me on the address provided.
Thanks :)

Peter & Asta

  • Adelaide, TAS, Melb. Inner suburbs, Geelong, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

Hello, My wife and I are going to Melbourne to catch up with family from 9 January to 23 January 2018. We own a house in Leeming, a suburb approximately 14km from the centre of Perth. We have one rescued greyhound over 10 years old and a 12 year old cat. I work full time as a Deputy Principal at a northern suburbs high school and my wife Asta is a full time artist, pet visitor and animal advocate - in particular for greyhounds and animals used in experimentation. She is of course a vegan while I am a vegetarian. We have pet sat in 2016 in Adelaide through Happy House Sitters - looking after an elderly dog and cat. The family was extreme happy with our house and pet sit, as were we. Over the last 6 years Asta has looked after our neighbour's house and cats when they have been on extended holidays. They have provided a glowing reference. Currently Asta visits a dog called Maisie (a good reference attached) and another house with 7 rescue cats and 3 small rescue dogs several times a week. We are 'mature adults' in the 50s and 60s age bracket. We are happy to look after a home and garden, but we are also well equipped, and particularly keen to provide animals with love and companionship.

Ready for a move but am uncertain where that will take me, I've enjoyed house sitting in a range of locations getting a feel for the area.
Currently working from home, though usually visit clients one or two afternoons a week.
For the most part I enjoy exploring new areas on foot, though I do have a car as it is required for my work.
Love most animals of the furry kind, but do not currently have my own pet due to Landlord restrictions.
I am familiar with caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds, having had my own pets in the past and helping extended family with theirs.
I look forward to caring for your house and pets in a manner in which they are accustomed.
I have been house sitting since July 2017. I am enjoying spending time with new furry friends and getting to know some new neighbourhoods.
I have a current Working with Children check, which includes regular police checks.

  • Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

Hi, I'm Nick, I'm 28 and work full-time at Geelong Grammar School. I'm a non-smoker, active and love animals, particularly dogs. I have a golden retriever who lives with my family in Ballarat and have always found it difficult to find rental properties that allow pets. Have found recently that house/ pet-sitting is a great way to be able to have that companionship, albeit for a shorter time, with animals whilst also saving money w/o having to pay rent. I can supply references where needed. The couple of pictures without me in them is the dog I'm currently sitting; his happy face I'm sure must count as a positive reference.

Joanna

  • Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg & Wide Bay, Melb. Inner suburbs, Melb. NW suburbs, Melb. SE suburbs, Macedon Ranges, North Western, Geelong, Otway Ranges/ Great Ocean Rd

My name is Joanna, 55 year old mother of 2 children now employed in Melbourne . By default/first hand experience have discovered that house sitting can be a win/win/win situation for the home owner, their precious animals and the sitter. I have found that house sitting provides the sitter with quality time get to know another part of Australia and another families pets whilst giving the home owners peace of mind on their holiday . You cannot get much better than that.
I have fenced out our house on the family farm where I grew up just out of Melbourne .Have horses, a cat and dogs .There are sheep alpacas and cows on this family farm. I am a retired-midwife/nurse educator/farmer/dairy farm hand and calf rearer /gardener. This new chapter of my life sees me as an empty nester and am at a stage where I am able to be flexible with time. No longer committed to travel in the school holiday periods. I have fond memories of holidays as a child in the Sunshine coast hinterland and would dearly love to spend some time there again.
I have been invited a couple times to mind people’s houses and various animals in Victoria and Western Australia and must have done an OK job because on each occasion I have been invited back. Most of my house sitting is through Word of mouth referrals Have cared for Oscar a cat in his home at Queenscliff six times for a Doctor from Geelong, and twice have been invited to house sit for people on acreage at Helena Valley out of Perth, with their assorted animals including three elderly donkeys .Have minded 3 houses with pools each with different pool filter set ups .In WA and Queensland I had the use of their cars which made the experience worth the effort of flying there for the couple of weeks to mind the house .I like to leave houses/pools and cars cleaner than when I arrived as my way of saying thank you for the experience
Ideally my preference would be to meet with the home owners prior to the sitting job or possibly stay the night before they go and be the one who drives them to the airport if that suits .Otherwise I do follow written instructions well and would not be shy about texting home owners if necessary to seek further clarification on important matters .
Responsible honest and reliable.
Involved in the local football/netball club where both my children played . Was involved in the local pony club where my children and I competed in the novelty events.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile

Someone you can absolutely count on! 38 references available.

Hello, I am Clare, 64, retired ABC radio broadcaster and experienced house/pet-sitter of many years (see references for details). Although I have cared for a delightful variety of farm and domestic animals in the past, my preference these days is to care for cats, or other not too demanding or boisterous animals.

I lead a simple life - studying, walking, swimming and seeking to maintain good health in aesthetically pleasing environments within 10 mins of the sea. To this end, I alternate between the coastal areas of Tasmania (Oct - May only) and mainland Australia, often returning to the same homes at the ongoing request of their owners.

Tamworth NSW is the one exception however, where I am always glad to visit, due to previous associations there.

My home bases are Mona Vale, NSW and South Arm,Tasmania.
I have numerous references available and all referees are happy to be contacted personally.

Coralie & Samuel

  • Geelong

Hello! Welcome to our profile!

Ideally looking for longer sits of about 3+ weeks in the Geelong area.

About us:

We are newly married and have recently returned from a lengthy honeymoon jaunt around Europe. During our travels we developed a real love for meeting new people and exploring new places. Despite needing to re-join the daily grind (we are saving for our first home), we are hoping to preserve some of that "traveling magic" through house sitting.

We are a reliable, resourceful, friendly and flexible couple with a genuine love for all living creatures. We are non-smokers and both have full-time professional jobs. Sam is patient, creative and practical. He enjoys playing his guitar, completing woodwork projects and is a bit of a wizard when it comes to solving any household dilemmas. I am observant, kind and enthusiastic. I am fascinated by people's stories, enjoy having a laugh and really try to find the beauty in life's little moments.

Animal Experience:

For us, furry, feathery and scaly friends are the epitome of joy. We both grew up surrounded by animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens, horses, cows, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets and fish. We have experience managing complex medication regimes and adhering to strict pet diets. We have also previously participated in dog obedience classes with our own pups and feel confident in our dog handling skills.

We recently had to put our much loved Kelpie down after a long battle with a complex and chronic illness. He was our best mate and being without him has been incredibly difficult for us. We can truly relate to and respect how much your pets mean to you and how stressful it can be to leave them in someone else's care. Rest assured we would take your (and your pets) trust in us very seriously and ensure that your time apart is as stress-free as possible. From the very big to the very small, we love them all!

Gardening experience:

Because we both grew up on properties (and have since rented properties with gardens) we are not unfamiliar with gardening. We know how to plant, take care of weeds, mow lawns, water plants ect. We are happy to partake in some light gardening if required.

House sitting experience:

We are very clean, tidy and respectful. Our aim would be to attentively adhere to any house rules and leave your place as we found it. So far we have had many wonderful housesitting experiences across Geelong and West Melbourne. Please refer to our endorsements, references available on request.

We would love the chance to talk with you about your needs and the prospect of a possible house sit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have and meet up in person prior to your trip if possible/preferred!

I am a graphic designer with my own business, who mainly works from home these days. I am also a mother of 2 beautiful kids. My daughter is traveling the world and my son is living with his partner. In 2014, I separated from my partner of many years and hence welcomed the offer to care for a friends home and her aged puppy whilst being away on photographic assignments, which I under took for the 6 months and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, so hence a House Sitter I became... I am a non smoker and extremely house proud and would care for and appreciate your home as I do my own. Animals, totally adore them, I recently lost both my horse and my puppy of 17 years, both of which have left me shattered and heartbroken, so being a surrogate mother for whatever period of time would be wonderful.

I have owned and maintained homes for over 30 years. I am a mother and business professional, with a strong understanding of people, loyalty, commitment and more importantly responsibility.

I have been house sitting now for the past 26 months, with 9 assignments under my belt, some of which are repeat clients.
I also run an airbnb for one of my regular clients, while she is overseas... It's great, one meets some amazing people...It's like going overseas but they come to you!!!!!

I am more than happy to supply you references both professional and personal upon your request.

I look forward to meeting with you to discuss caring for your home and your extended family in your absence.

Jan & Peter

  • Melbourne, Geelong

We are looking forward to house sitting in Victoria because we have two of our children living there and 4 gorgeous grandchildren.
Although we live in Tasmania we do have a reliable ferry link which we use to bring our car to Melbourne.
A little information about Peter and Jan Green:
We are non smokers and currently run a very successful AirBNB in our home. This is very busy between November and April. Through our business we have met many great people from all over the world. We have in fact been very successful and have received the award of Super Host on 9 consecutive occasions. This is quite a prestigious award in the business.
We are very keen gardeners and work hard in that area. Peter prefers the vegie garden, while Jan has interests in both areas. Jan actually has a "picking garden" and proudly sells many beautiful bunches to a local charity shop.
Peter built a 28 foot sailing boat for the family use quite a few years ago and we had 30 years of enjoyment on our beautiful waterways.
Our overseas travel has taken us mainly to Asia and the U.K. in order to visit our family while they worked in these countries. We still have a son who is a mining Engineer in Jakarta with a family base in Bangkok for his family of 3 children and his wife.
We have a son who has just established a business as an architect at Ocean Grove. He has a wife and 2 children. Our daughter lives at Northcote. She has 2 children and is a single widowed Mum. She is a Heritage Consultant, maintaining the grand old buildings of Melbourne as a project manager for the company.
At home Peter and I are very active in an organisation called U3A. It offers the opportunity to further the general education of older people. We have each had a role in running courses.
We are keen animal lovers and we have a very placid Labrador named Vada, a very loving but lazy house cat named Toodles together with an Avery of canaries. Walking Vada twice a day on our local beach keeps us physically active as well. We are very lucky to have a great neighbor who loves to look after our pets when we are away.
Peter is a volunteer driver for Cancer Council, transporting patients to and from hospital for treatment.
Jan volunteers in a church shop and bakes cakes for sale in the shop.
We are quite willing to obtain police checks if our hosts desire. This is our first involvement in House Sitting and no doubt have lots to learn as time goes on.
Regards from Peter and Jan Green.

We are a family of three, Tracey (50 y.o), Steve (54 y.o) and Tilly, a five y.o. miniature schnauzer.
Tilly is well behaved, extremely social with other dogs and people, does not shed hair/fur and travels where-ever we travel.
As we are both semi-retired, we can devote our time at your home to provide the love and care your pet deserves.
With properties of our own, we are extremely house-proud and treat everyone's property with the utmost care and respect.
We are non-smokers, non-drinkers who enjoy the outdoors, with activities that include gardening, swimming, paddling (outrigger canoes), walking and exploring new sights, whilst meeting many interesting people. We consider ourselves as 'minimalists', who endeavour to live without too much 'stuff' and value the environment.
During 2017 and into 2018, we resided on Norfolk Island, where we managed a B&B and cared for a beautiful home on a 3 acre property.
We completely understand that your task in selecting the correct person/people to care for the things you cherish is complex and time-consuming. Therefore, current police checks, any additional information and references are available upon request.

We have our own two properties leased in Darwin. We also have our own two dogs who are pictured - Wally who has lost his eye and requires medication (and therefore both staying with family when we housesit).
Elyce is currently a stay at home mum so is available to be home for animals who are used to company.
We hope we can help you with your housesitting needs.

Hello Happy House owners,

I have been housesitting for friends & family and through referrals for several years. I have recently joined several housesitting sites in the hope of connecting with some lovely new homeowners that are looking for house minding and/or pet care.

I have looked after all kinds of homes and animals, from domestic pets in urban homes, to farm animals on small rural properties.

I have two teenaged children who often accompany me on housesits. They are both loving & respectful towards all the animals and the homes that we care for. We are a quiet, friendly family that genuinely enjoy spending time with all the lovely animals we meet. I have always had wonderful feedback from my homeowners that their homes have been left wonderfully clean and their pets have felt happy and secure.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to view my references.

Kind regards

Natasha

Hi my names Kelly and i am looking to housesit early 2019. I work full time in werribee as a psychologist and am willing to travel up to 45 minutes away from work. I am an active person, I have owned horses previously and am familiar with the responsibility that owning an animal comes with. I enjoy running and yoga and do not smoke. I can provide work or rental references upon request. The reason I am looking to housesit is to experience different locations, be around friendly animals and to save money for the house I am building. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Happy House Resident, my name is Ros. I am a 62 year old widow currently in transition from Bendigo and ?? Tasmania...(I think?? Your part of the world may be better still). I am able to be mobile as my daughter is now studying in Melbourne and we sadly lost our own Collie/Koolie cross at 14 years old just 2017. I have my 2-3acre Bendigo home up sale. I miss both our dog and our chooks very much... and my 25 yo son in Europe and daughter now in Melbourne. I love being fit and healthy through using my bicycle as a go anywhere machine, running in the bush, Chi Gung and gardening ... and of course eating healthy vegetables. I currently volunteer when I can with both FreewheelingFun (recycling bicycle program) and Bendigo Regional Food Alliance. I still do a few small landscape designs with a focus on food gardening.. (Livinglightlydesign.com.au). I dabble in crafts and music. I joined Happy House Sitters only June 2018 having house sat 5 months over 18months on Bruny Island Tasmania before eventually buying into the amazing landscape and people community down there. Just 5 acres with no house. I have secured 1 reference so far for you. I had a house where new residents had only arrived 6 weeks prior but had a preplanned excursion taking them away for 6 weeks... lots of gardening, two gorgeous dogs (2yo Koolie dog "Algie" and 12yo rescue corgie cross "Dottie") and tidying of emptied container contents!! Then I sat 2 1/2 weeks for a younger family with 2x sheep, 2x ponies, 2x pigs, about 14 chooks, and 2yo "Skipper" black kelpie cross. Thirdly an off grid passive solar house on 8 acres later returning to help with the young mum with her 7 week old pigeon pair human twins whilst dad had time to mourn the loss of his mum. Lastly a 2yo house and two Shitzu pups. This was an amazing house on the beach front but was for sale giving me yet a new challenge of keeping it absolutely pristine ready for inspection!! It SOLD!! Since joining Happy House sitters I have secured two new sits.. one at Barwon Heads and another in Clifton Hill. I prefer minimum of two weeks. Good luck with your search and holidays. Cheers Ros

I'm housesitting as it allows me to affordably live on my own and have the company of animals plus I get to contribute to others through giving you security for your house and love and companionship for your pets and they get to stay home while you are way.
I am fit and healthy, I do not smoke, seldom drink alcohol, and will not behaving social gatherings at your place - I tend to go and visit my friends rather than they come to me as most have families to consider
I love having animals around – they are great company and apparently I am great company for them to – I have met very few cats or dogs that aren’t friendly towards me
I like to meet you before you go away as I want to know how you look after your house and pets because I will look after you animals like you do. I feed them the same way you do, I walk them as much like you do as possible (Taking dogs for walks is always a good excuse to take a break and get some good exercise) and they get to sleep in their usual place as well – be that on the bed I am sleeping in or on their own bed or outside. If it is needed I am also very happy to give them any drugs they need whether that be tablets or injection - and they will be given just the way you want them given. As I work and study from ‘home’ I can be “home” a lot if your pets require that or I can be out and about
I have experience with cats as I grew up with them and I had my own cat for 17 years - you can't really say you own a cat - a beautiful large male tabby who lived a very comfortable life. I have also looked after other people’s cats.
And with dogs - I have helped look after friends and housemates animals over the years as I have travelled around to many places so I have experience with a variety of dogs – Great Dane, Viszla, Collie and Collie cross, Ridgeback Mastif, Retriever cross, Cavoodle, Jack Russell and other more mixed dogs, - so any size is fine.
I have also looked after budgies, fishes, pet mice, rabbits and hamsters over the years
I will take care of your home as if it is my own precious place – and will leave your home in much the same way as I found it or maybe cleaner so that you come home to what you like and slip back in to your ways.
Since I 'work and study from home' I can move around happily and easily and happily adapt to my environment – I have house/pet sat in Coburg, Reservoir, North Fitzroy, Greensborough, Doreen, Caulfield North, Rosanna, North Frankston .
Much as I'd like to have a long block of time short stays are fine too.
While you are away I am very happy to keep you updated with emails and/or text messages if you like - I use Whatsapp for my overseas messaging.
Looking forward to helping you out – Cheers Julia Reading
