I used Happy House Sitters for the first time in September 2017. I placed an add and Karla Stacey was one of my many respondents to look after our beloved French Mastiff, Bear. I spoke with Karla and immediately knew I had chosen the right person. She came round and met me and Bear and Bear took to her immediately - which was a great comfort to me. Just before we left for our trip, Bear had to have surgery to an injured knee which couldn't wait until we returned. I contacted Karla and she was more than happy to nurse Bear back to health while we were away. I honestly could not have been any happier with Karla. She assured me that he would be okay and well looked after; she kept me updated on Bear's progress; sent me photos of them snuggling on the couch; made sure that he did not over-exert himself (which is not easy for a 16 months old pup!); and even took him to the vets for a check up for me. She was brilliant! It was such a relief being so far away and knowing that Bear was being so well looked after. My washing machine also broke down while I was away - Karla notified me and offered to get a repair man in to fix it for me! She was just great in every way. The house was clean and tidy and in perfect condition upon our return. I would recommend Karla to anyone who want's their fur baby absolutely loved and cherished while they are away - because that is what Karla did for us. I have taken Bear round to see her since our return - he was so excited to see her...it was gorgeous. Hi, Karla has recently completed a 5 week stint looking after our dogs (a Beagle and Rhodesian Ridgeback) and house, the second time we have asked her to sit for us. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone and will ourselves be calling her first with fingers crossed the next time we manage to get away anywhere. The house was well looked after. Cleaner, in fact, than we left it, and the dogs (our 'children'!) were very obviously looked after with genuine care and affection. Our Beagle has a few medical issues and requires medication several times a day and Karla was not fazed by this in the slightest and liaised with our vet over a minor issue whilst we were away. Karla asked many questions before we left and it was obvious that she knew what was needed, she also took the time to leave a long letter with a rundown of any 'events' from the 5 weeks we were away We actually think that they look healthier and leaner than when we left 5 weeks ago - time for us to lift our game on the 'walkies' front... might even help shift a few of the kilos my wife and I put on whilst on holiday!
