I am a retired, widowed non-smoking, very active person who is extremely experienced in house sitting. My husband and I started house-sitting in 2013 after returning to Australia from living in Northern Ireland for 2 years. I own a large home in Bexley (a suburb of Sydney, just near the airport) but like to spend large amounts of time in and around Bayside, in Melbourne, as I have a son and two grandsons living in Hampton. I absolutely adore animals of any kind but since the death of my last cat in 2020, have now decided that I will get my ‘animal-fix’ by looking after other people’s pets! I am a very quiet and responsible person (I was a high school teacher for 42 years) and I like to spend my time reading, walking and just generally enjoying life. Since 2013, I have lost count of the number of house-sits i have completed! In and around Melbourne, I have completed 12 (private) house-sittings (one of them 3 times over 4 months) and 9 house-sits (ongoing) through two other websites, and so I will be able to provide suitable references from these home owners. I am an extremely tidy people and will look after your home as if it was my own!
