I am in my 50s and have lots of energy and a positive disposition. I looked after a variety of houses and pets when I lived in New Zealand. Since then the Christchurch earthquake has shaken me across to Melbourne. As I set up in my new city I am keen to pursue house minding opportunities over the next couple of years. I have been actively been House Minding in Melbourne since August 2012.I work at theRoyal Melbourne Hospital in Occupational Therapy. I love working alongside and encouraging people who are rehabilitating following illness or injury. I admire their attitude, determination and courage as they work to overcome the obstacles on their road to recovery.I am reliable, thorough and meticulous. According to those I have worked for I have left their house cleaner and tidier than I found it, have been very responsible with utilities and the animals I have looked after have responded positively to my care. I can provide references to vouch for this.I’m not a party person. I like to read, go for walks, and catch up with my friends one-on-one. Similarly, when I look after animals I love their company and just being around them. It gives me great pleasure learning to know and appreciate their personalities and quirks.
