OCTOBER 2106: Thank you for all the offers to house sit over Christmas, but as we have been unsuccessful in securing other sits before then, we have no choice but to return to Europe where we have other offers.

Non-smoking, genuinely caring and 100% reliable with high standards of hygiene and tidiness. Originally from England & Spain, we also have New Zealand citizenship.
House sitting internationally since April 2014, we are incredibly proud of our references and reputation. We have a wide range of skills and personal qualities to guarantee our hosts' peace of mind. We are:
** EXPERIENCED. As of October 2016, we have successfully completed over 30 house sits in 13 different countries (including Australia!)
** HOUSE PROUD. We don't ask for luxury, but we do prefer uncluttered spaces maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
** RESPONSIBLE and DISCREET. We are very safety conscious and won't bring guests into your home without your consent.
** CONSIDERATE. We use all utilities responsibly, and treat your home with the respect it deserves.
** PROACTIVE. We are capable and dependable - if something crops up in your absence, we'll deal with it!
** KEEN and ADAPTABLE. Always happy to lend a hand and pick up new skills. We can perform all basic gardening tasks and have some experience of looking after swimming pools.
** EXCELLENT COMMUNICATORS. We are friendly and approachable, keep at least 3 methods of communication open in your absence and send you regular pictures and updates.
** FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT. Self-employed IT professionals working from our laptops - we spend a lot of time at home with the pets!
** PHYSICALLY FIT and HEALTHY. We don't smoke, drink alcohol in moderation only, and have never done drugs of any sort. Our biggest vice is chocolate...

And what about the pets?
** CAT SPECIALISTS. Former cat owners ourselves, we have almost exclusively looked after cats whilst house sitting. Additionally, we volunteered for the feline branch of our local SPCA for 14 months in New Zealand in 2013-14.
>> We have experience with young and senior/geriatric cats, administering medication, and are particularly good with shy cats!
** OTHER PETS. Anything small and furry (even rats, which we owned in NZ). Tropical fish tanks and ponds. Chooks and ducks. Reptiles and amphibians. Happy to consider other pets as well, but please note we cannot accept sits that involve dog care.
** WILDLIFE. We are always grateful for any opportunity to observe and care for the local fauna. We have looked after bird baths and feeders, fed wild wallabies and even a semi tame possum by hand.

Our needs are simple but nonetheless critical, and if granted would allow us to achieve a perfect win-win situation for all:
- INTERNET CONNECTION. Our main requirement is a fast, reliable connection so we can continue to work.
- COMFORTABLE BED. Ideally 160+ cm wide or 2 separate beds. Although healthy in every other way, I do suffer from a sleep disorder which means I am a very light sleeper and toss & turn a lot throughout the night, so smaller beds unfortunately mean poor sleep for both of us. Please note this also means we cannot share our bed with the pets.
- PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT where we can work and relax (and sleep!) without major disturbances. We wish to avoid heavy/fast traffic, barking dogs, loud music etc, so we respectfully ask that you are honest with us about the reality of your living environment.
- TRANSPORT. Access to a car would be a huge bonus. We have borrowed many hosts' cars and have never had an issue anywhere. We have full, clean driving licences and can drive automatic and manual cars.
- Last but not least, as mentioned before, we are very HOUSE PROUD and only wish to house sit for home owners with the same standards, and live in smoke free and drug free environments.
