About

Hello! My name is Elise, I am a 39 year old avid traveller (which is why I originally started house sitting as I was never in a city long enough to sign a lease!). My partner Alan (37) and I like to keep active, enjoy the great outdoors (camping, hiking, cycling, yoga etc) and love meeting new people. We are both non-smokers and treat other people’s homes like they our my own. We like to keep our/ your space clean, tidy and secure. References available in written form attached to the profile, phone numbers can also be provided for local referees (Please note, most of the references are for Elise as she used to sit when she was single, now we sit together).

I have been house sitting on and off for over 15 years - here in Melbourne (City, Toorak, Richmond, St Kilda, Elwood, Collingwood, Port Melbourne, Northcote etc) but also while travelling abroad (Sweden, USA, China). I have experience with domestic animals (cats, dogs, rabbits) and I also grew up on a farm in country Victoria so have been around animals all my life. I enjoy gardening – especially rewarding edible gardens ;) Alan has extensive experience with building houses literally from the ground up, and doesn't mind helping with minor household repairs and managing minor renovations. We would be open to managing longer term renovations for longer stays (ie. sourcing tradies/ gathering quotes/ managing their time etc - please contact us to discuss).

I am currently working full time as a Client Services Director for a Marketing Agency and occassionally work in Libraries on the weekend. Alan runs his own business, as a consultant. He has great flexibility in his work and can often work from home (handy for caring for pets who need lots of attention!).

London Flat Management Reference (04/09/2018)

Elise was a conscientious, clean, tidy and friendly house sitter. We would have no hesitation in recommending her. We have an 11 year old beagle who requires daily medication and Elise had no qualms about administering that and kept our puppy company by working from home some days too, along with pictures. On our return Elise had cleaned the house and the sheets, which she really didn't need to.
