Hi,
My name is Sheila and I would love the opportunity to care for your home and your pets. I am 59, headed to 60 this year and settling into a new way of life and living. I am a semi-retired naturopath and work mostly from home as a writer and doing research as I am completing my Masters.
I love hanging out with your pets. I take great pride in caring for whatever space I am living in. I have always had my own home and now that my children have left I am now taking the opportunity to travel, meet new people and spend time with their lovely pets. I have a police check and references which I can forward.
I am happy to be vegetarian or vegan in your home and I am very mindful of caring for your home as if it were my own. I like to leave as small a footprint as possible wherever I go and I enjoy watering pot plants and caring for the garden and vegie plot. I have had a few sits with chickens and the benefits of their wonderful eggs is a new joy for me.
I have lots of available time to be with your animals, take them for walks and just generally hang out. If they sleep on the bed with you then they can sleep on the bed with me, if they snuggle on the lounge at night then they can snuggle on the lounge with me. If they don't then they don't. I look to maintian the usual routine of love, care, spoiling and discipline as much as possible
If I commit to your house sit then I am committed regardless of what may pop up later. I believe that peace of mind is so important for house and pet owners as they plan holidays and big trips away. I appreciate the trust that lies between the house owner and house sitter, it is one of the main reasons I do house sitting.
I have been house sitting now for two years and have done everything from Great Danes to kittens across Australia. I have also done a few house sites in Ireland and hope to do more international sits in the next few years.
Currently I am focused on Brisbane and surrounding suburbs and I am enjoying getting to know the different suburbs and sights of this really relaxed and wonderful city.
I do like to meet you before hand and your pets to make sure that everyone is compatible and happy. I also love stepping into homes with long detailed instruction manuals on how to do everything. Most importantly I need contact details of your vet, how to care for your pet and an emergency contact should I need some back up.
I am mature, responsible, energetic and kind, I love walking, yoga and swimming. I feel confident and competent in dealing with the care of your home and pets and do not hesitate to contact you or the emergency contact if there is anything out of the ordinary.
