We came home to a spotless clean home and 8 very happy and well loved dogs. each week I got photos of the dogs being spoiled, Even our garden was 100% better than before, We would highly recommend Lesley and Chris to look after your home. We run an 822 acre farm near Armidale, NSW. For three weeks in September 2017, Lesley and her husband, Chris, house sat for us while we went on our first overseas holiday. They looked after two of our dogs, one of them very aged and requiring daily medication. On our return, Jeddah and Chloe were in good health and happy. Chris and Lesley regularly checked the cattle keeping an eye out for any cows that may have been showing signs of difficulty calving. They had instructions to call the vet if there appeared to be any problems We note that Chris and Lesley interacted well with neighbours and updated us regularly while we were away On our return, Chris and Lesley went to visit relatives but returned to the farm to spend a few extra days with us. Chris used this time to learn about fence building and repair which may be useful if they house sit farms in the future. Having Lesley and Chris house sit gave us the confidence to take time off from the farm to travel and visit family overseas. We returned to find that the property was in good order. We would like to recommend Chris and Lesley as house or farm sitters.

Chris and Lesley are the housesitters you want to look after your home, pets and garden so you can enjoy your holiday with complete confidence and peace of mind. They are open and honest, dependable and practical and the pets were safe and sound not to mention being loved up. Chris even fixed my front gate which I had been meaning to do for years. They are great communicators and good company so hand over is relaxed and easy. I am proud to say I was their first official happyhousesitter gig which was over the 2016 Christmas period.

To Whom It May Concern Lesley and Chris Shanley minded our house for us for approximately three weeks over the summer Christmas / New Year period, and I was more than happy with their care of both the house and the cat. From the outset, it was apparent that both Lesley and her husband Chris were thorough in their approach, responsible, and eager to ensure that everything would run smoothly in our absence. When we met with them beforehand to run through things (& introduce the cat), they both listened carefully to instructions and asked relevant questions. They clearly wanted to do a good job, which they certainly did! It was reassuring to have two former nurses who were mature, clearly not into throwing wild parties, and had lots of common sense, and a genuine love of animals. Lesley was reliable at returning calls or text messages and there was no fuss or hassle involved in the lead up to, and throughout the housesit. We ended up going away again soon after returning to Sydney in January, and although they were already booked for another house sit, Lesley agreed to come back and stay at the house (leaving Chris at the other house), which I thought was very kind. My cat Bobby is 19 years old, totally deaf and not very fond of new situations. Upon our return, she was completely calm and fine, and we were also very pleased with the state of the house and garden. The house was clean and tidy, the plants had obviously been watered (better than any other sitter!), and alongside a ‘handover’ note from Lesley, were some mangoes, a Christmas pudding and some other treats – an unexpected but generous gesture! We use house sitters at least twice a year. I would be more than happy to have Lesley and Chris stay here again when they return from their travels, and I would not hesitate in recommending them to take care of other houses and pets. Chris and Lesley Shanley house sat our home and very large garden in Blackheath and our dog for two weeks in February when NSW was experiencing heatwave conditions. They did a wonderful job and we returned to a house in perfect condition and a well tended and watered garden. And our labradoodle was very happy too! Completely trustworthy, well organised and very professional. I would certainly recommend them to other home owners looking for a break. Five stars!!

Lesley and Chris farmsat for us for a week. We have 100 acres and many animals which needed to be attended to. Nothing was a problem for them, everything was kept ticking over brilliantly and we felt very secure knowing that they were managing the farm in our absence. They were in touch either by text or phone call every second day to let us know of any issues that arose. We even came home to a wonderful home cooked meal and a spotless house. We would definitely use them again if our dates coincided!

Lesley and her husband Chris have been delightful house-sitters for us many times. They have looked after our three ducks, one rabbit, and one cat as though they were their own. They are friendly, tidy, lovely, and caring towards all our animals and our home. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I have known Lesley & Chris Shanley for more than 40 years. I have always found them to be very reliable, dependable and trustworthy in all aspects of their lives. They have house sat for me several times, especially over the past year. They take the responsibility of house sitting very seriously and pride themselves on making the household run smoothly. They follow all instructions and protocols, take great care of my house and pets and have always left the house in great shape at the end of their "sit." As neighbours I’ve swapped house minding with Lesley and Chris a number of times over the years, for both long and short periods of time. This has also involved tending to each other’s cats as well as garden watering in hot weather. Having owned dogs, cats and chickens over the years (and looked after their son’s ducks!) I know them to be very comfortable with animals and diligent in caring for them. In 2012 I had a 6 week holiday in Vietnam and it was a great relief to me to be able to go away knowing not just that my cats would be fed but that they would also have company and lots of pats. Les even emailed me photos of my Tabitha and Sheba happily lying in the sun and enjoying lots of pats. I’m delighted to recommend Les and Chris as responsible, flexible house sitters.
