Hello!
We're Rob and Natasha, a 30 year old married couple from the UK. Rob is an Aerospace Engineer and Natasha works in International Development. We have emigrated to Australia as permanent residents and arrived in Melbourne in June.
Rob has recently got a job in Sydney (Bankstown Airport) which starts in January. So we are looking for somewhere to House sit from the beginning of January.
We love animals and have been housesitting in Melbourne since June. Although Rob will now be working, Natasha will be spending her time looking for the right job in Sydney. This means that she will be spending the majority of her time around the house on the internet applying for jobs, so will be able to spend lots of quality time with your pet(s)!
We both have lots of experience with animals - Rob grew up with dogs and Natasha grew up with cats, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. We have a Bengal cat called Benji back in the UK (that we miss very much!), who is being looked after by Natasha's sister.
Since arriving in Australia in June we have completed 7 house sits - one with a chihuahua x, one with an American Staffy x, one with a Bullmastiff, two cats & tropcal fish, One with two Spaniels and a cat, one with a Rhodesian ridgeback dog, one with 2 cats, 2 cavalier dogs (inc. 16 week old puppy) and fish - including a 12week old puppy and one with just a cat. Over Christmas & New Year we have a house Sit with 1 greyhound, one beagle and a cat. So, we're happy and able to look after dogs, cats & other animals of all sizes and needs.
We are home owners ourselves, (we're renting our house out in the UK) so you can be sure that we would look after your home as we would hope someone would look after ours. Rob is also a keen gardener if you need your garden tending to also. We are also non-smokers and clean living vegetarians - but absolutely no problem dealing with meat for the animals. We're both very active and love to be outdoors, so will be able to take any energetic dogs on plenty of walks. We also love having quiet evenings watching movies or reading (preferably with a cat or dog on our lap) and there is definitely no danger of us having a party - because we don't know anyone in Australia!
We have references available (both on this, and another house-sitting website) as well as police checks (As we had to be vetted by the Australian government for our visas!)
