Hello! I'm a mature, friendly, reliable, responsible and trustworthy person who loves animals and has been moving around Perth, house sitting professionally for about six years. Prior to this I did lots of house sitting for friends and family over the years. At the moment I'm ideally looking for longer stay house sits but I'm definitely flexible for the right fit. I'm currently looking for house sits in Perth and also around the South West region of WA.
As I previously mentioned, I love animals! I've owned animals in the past but I'm currently enjoying looking after lots of different pets and getting to know their different personalities. I've looked after big and small, young and old and everything in between. I also have recently been volunteering at the Dog Refuge Home which has given me some further experience with dog behaviour and training techniques.
Most importantly though, I always care for pets as if they were my own, with loads of love and affection while always following their owners guidance and rules. I'm also always happy to send updates and pictures of your pets when you're away from home and missing them.
I'm not working currently aside from a small amount of admin work I occasionally do from home, so I am able to spend nearly all of my time keeping your pets company. I like to spend my time cooking, baking, writing and practising yoga. I rarely go out at night or entertain as I'm always moving around but I do have a niece who loves visiting the animals I care for. I'm a non smoker and very occasional drinker.
I love walking and exploring different neighbourhoods and I'm happy to keep to any exercise schedule your dog is used to.
In regards to housekeeping I'm extremely neat and clean. Some might say I'm a bit obsessed with cleaning and I've been teased about it a lot in the past but it turns out it's an excellent trait in a house sitter! I always leave my house sits as clean or cleaner than when I arrive. I also like to take a few photos when I arrive so that if I do need to move anything during my stay, I can always return things to how they were and I promise I won't rearrange your cupboards or anything weird like that!
I love gardening, even if it's just a bit of watering I'm happy to do it and I've learned over the years not to overwater indoor plants so you don't have to worry about that! I'm happy to sweep or rake outside and have taken care of pools previously.
I understand it's a big deal having a virtual stranger in your home and looking after your precious pets, so I'm happy to provide multiple references at your request and to talk and meet with you before we come to any agreement.
I must mention I do usually charge for most house sits that require pet sitting. Shorter stays are a usually a daily rate and then longer stays are less but I'm open to other arrangements depending on the situation.
