We have recently returned to Australia after a long career in education in the United States. We have been housesitting in various locations in Australia while we decide where in Oz we'd like to settle permanently. In addition to housesitting in Australia, we had our own pets in the U.S., and looked after our neighbors' homes, plants, and pets while they were out of town over the years. Our acre property in the U.S. was in the high desert, and had a swimming pool, so we understand the maintenance involved. We would strongly prefer to be near public transport as we do not yet own a car in Australia. We have a quiet lifestyle, and will treat your home and pets with care and respect. References and police reports are available.

Anne and Peter were fantastic Housesitters. They made the effort to come and meet us beforehand which really helps with any nervousness you might have about trusting someone with your house and dogs. Communication between us was very easy both before and during the house sit, we got several photo updates of our pups whilst away. The house was very well looked after and houseplants (of which we have quite a few) were very healthy on our return. Next time we are looking for house sitters, I will be reaching out to Anne and Peter first.

Hello! Peter and Anne were my Happy House Sitters in January while we were away for 2 weeks. They were very happy to come and meet us and our fur-baby for an 'interview' and then did a one-night stay as a trial run in advance of us being away and (almost) uncontactable for 2 weeks. Our fur-baby loved them and so our decision was an easy one. They looked after our dog extremely well, including giving him daily medication, and walked him every day (talk about a spoiled pooch!). It was nice to come home to a relaxed pup, instead of an anxious doggy (which is what happened after leaving him in a kennel previously). The plants were well cared for, and the house was left clean and tidy after their stay. I would gladly ask Peter and Anne to come back for a return stay. Thank you again guys!!

This is a reference for Anne & Peter George who I would highly recommend for housesitting assignments. Anne & Peter house sat for me on 2 separate occasions. The first for 4 days in early Dec 2017 and there a longer sit for 3 weeks in late December until the middle of January 2018. They took very good care of my elderly dog, Sofie giving her medication and taking her for walks daily. I was given regular updates by email & text. On my return everything was in working order & the place was clean and tidy and Sofie was in good spirits. My neighbours said they were very quiet & respectful and hardly knew they were there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Peter & Anne George for any housesitting assignments.
