We are a married, mature aged couple and enjoy very good health. We lead an active life playing golf and lawn bowls and love family, animals, walking and meeting people. We holidayed as 'grey nomads' travelling Australia for 25 years but changed our holiday plans 4 years ago when we decided to investigate housesitting and caring for animals while their owners travelled. Ken is a retired electrical technician and Julie worked as a secretary in private enterprise and government departments till retirement. We have police checks and can provide a very nice reference from a satisfied houseowner in Townsville, Qld. We also have references available from equally happy homeowners in Arundel and Ravenshoe in Queensland. We are very interested in housesitting from late June 2020 following a break on the Gold Coast. We are happy to housesit for 1-2 weeks or longer periods of time. We are non-smokers, have a very high standard of housekeeping and are happy to provide tender, loving care for dogs or cats. We are very much aware of the confidence and trust homeowners must have in a prospective housesitter and feel we can meet that criteria successfully.
