I am a quiet, gentle, honest person who loves animals and natural beauty. I enjoy walking and being outdoors, sitting in the garden and listening to the birds singing. I am creative, having studied painting and drawing and I also like to write.After moving out of home and living in country Victoria for five years, I travelled to the UK for 15 months (where I did a three-week house sit looking after two boxer dogs and a cat) and now have moved back home to Melbourne where I live with my mum, dad and brother. I miss having pets but thought it wiser to not take any on if I am not sure where I want to live in the future. At the moment I enjoy the creatures that visit our garden and have 'adopted' a little blackbird who likes to follow me when I am outside for the treats I give him.In the past my pets have included budgerigars, a canary who must have escaped from his home who was flying around our place, I managed to catch him and he became part of the household after no one claimed him, a Brittany Spaniel dog, a "rescue" dog and a rabbit. I like patting the cats around the neighbour hood and have house sat for a relative with a cat a number of times. My 11-year old nephew has a cockatiel that I look after when the family go away.I would like to try house sitting in country and coastal areas of Victoria so I have the opportunity for peace and quiet from the busyness of Melbourne to reflect and gain inspiration for writing. I like having animals for company and enjoy caring for them. When I had my own little place outside Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges, I put many hours of hard work into the garden and interior decoration so that it was a beautiful home and special place to be. I would show the same respect and care in any house or pet sitting position.
