About

I am from Tassie and David is originally from NZ. We have been married for 13 years. I have a daughter who lives on the Sunny Coast with her partner and toddler, and a son who lives in Canberra with his partner.

David has had a mid-life career change(!) and accepted a placement at USC, studying Paramedics. He moved from Tasmania in Feb 2018 to start the course. A big change from working in the construction industry!
I moved up in July 2018 and am undertaking contract work until securing something permanent.
We have completed a number of sits since Dec 2018 and have a number of scheduled sits ahead. We can provide names and contact details of referees if you require.

We have rented out our home in Hobart and our lovely 'share care dogs' who are very lucky and enjoy two homes and two loving sets of humans are now staying full time with their other parents (my ex-husband and partner). We started this arrangement when we first separated and it has continued through the passing of the first two fur babies and into the lives we share with Bonnie (spoilt tomboy princess who thinks she is in charge of everything) and Walter (totally gorgeous loving rescue boy who has blossomed since he has been loved and cared for). We would love to bring them up at some stage for a 3 month stint but totally depends on our living arrangements.

We have two reasons for wanting to house sit, the first being our financial circumstances. With the reduction of one wage, renting stretched us beyond what we felt comfortable with. And it goes without saying, the second reason is because we miss having the dogs around and think it would be lovely to look after your babies to help fill this huge void in our lives.

Hopefully you can see from the photos we are very tidy people and love having a garden. This is why there is little appeal for us in having to rent a small apartment, We like the space and openness we hope to find in house sits. We also came up here with just the minimum amount of 'things' so finding furnished places to rent is difficult and if we rented an empty place we would have to purchase furniture. All these reasons led to the obvious solution of house sitting!!

We love the beach and walking dogs, ok with cats and would consider birds and poultry.
We only have one car, so being near public transport would be helpful (or use of a vehicle, or even a bicycle!)
