I am a healthcare professional (doctor) with many years of experience caring for animals. I am an energetic hard worker and house proud. I am also a homebody that enjoys nothing more than coming home at the end of the day and spending time with animals. I also enjoy keeping fit, reading, and enjoying the simple things in life!
I own my own house near Tamworth which is currently rented out, and so I know the importance of looking after a home! I am very particular about cleanliness, safety and general upkeep of the home such as maintaining any gardens, collecting mail regularly. I am totally comfortable around all animals and am more than happy to take them for as many daily walks as required and to have them sleep on my bed at night if need be! I am a non-smoker who likes to keep fit and active. I have all of my necessary checks such as Police Checks and Working with Children Check. I have my First Aid Certificate as well as have experience Vet nursing. To sum me up - I'm a practical person, trustworthy and always give everything that I do 110% - which would include looking after your home and pets whilst being trusted in your absence!
HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCE
I have done two house sits in Tamworth in 2004. One was for about 2 weeks looking after 1 attention craving cat, and another was looking after a blind, elderly dog, a cat and a few birds for about 2 weeks. I didn't even think about references at the time and so don't' have these unfortunately.
I often look after my brother's house in Penrith that includes looking after their labradors, cat, fish, chooks and rabbit as well as maintaining their gardens and doing their mowing and whipper snipping. I also occasionally mind my parent's farm in the Central West which involves looking after their sheep, alpacas, horses, dogs, cats and gardens.
PET CARE EXPERIENCE
Dogs-Multiple -too many to count! Border collies, kelpies, cattle dogs, fox terriers, german shephards, labradors. Always had my my own dogs plus plus look after family and friends dogs. Indoor and outdoor dogs. Used to partake in dog training for my own dogs. Comfortable to feed, water, walk, medicate, handle, play with, groom all types of dogs. Extremely careful with dog's safety at all time. I have my own border collie (Bonnie) who lives at my parent's farm in the Central West whilst I finish my medical degree.
Cats-Multiple - always had many cats in my life too. Long-haired, short-haired, indoors, outdoors. Comfortable handling, feeding, watering, medicating, grooming, and giving them the love and attention they demand! Pay particular attention to ensuring their kitty litter trays are always clean!
Fish-looked after family fish for over 30 years - including feeding, cleaning tank etc
Birds-Helped look after family birds for over 30 years - including budgies, cockatoos, cockatiels, parrots, galahs, pigeons, chooks, turkeys, peacocks, ducks, geese
Rabbits-Looked after family rabbits for a few years - mainly feeding and watering
Horses-Lived on 50 acres for about 30 years and had my own horse and looked after family horses at throughout that time. Comfortable with handling, feeding, watering, medicating, grooming, rugging, etc.
Chickens-Had many chickens over 30 years - comfortable to handle ,feed,water, collect eggs, clean housing, medicate/dust, catch and move etc.
