Shirley & Don: RETIRED/PENSIONERS:
We are a very active senior couple, having owned businesses in Sydney and Newcastle also farm acreage properties. We are very experienced animal carers, in particular, horses, dogs and cats (especially Border Collies and we love cats).
Moved to Brisbane, on acreage 13 years ago, from the Newcastle area where we had lived for many years, to be with family – daughter & husband were working in PNG and had a 6 year old son who we cared for until the PNG contracts were finalised.
We recently moved to the Port Macquarie area in a Residential Resort and are now looking forward to enjoying short breaks house-sitting and caring for other peoples' pets. .
Both Shirley and Don, when residing in NSW, were Justices of the Peace and Rotarians. Also, through the businesses, Police checks were a necessary requirement ie. Travel Industry and Newsagency/TAB.
Shirley was a TAFE Teacher for over 10 years at Belmont, Toronto Annex, Hamilton, Islington and Glendale whilst Don was Managing Director of a Company jointly owned by us and an American Company.
Don is experienced with swimming pool maintenance having had our own pool for 10 years, mows lawns and other maintenance jobs around the place etc. whilst Shirley loves to care for plants and is particular in keeping a neat and tidy house.
Home owners can be assured their home will be pristine upon arrival home.

Note: We lived in Castle Hill, Sydney, for 30 years and operated Durak Travelcentre = 3 other travelcentres, Parramatta, Winston Hills and Beecroft, for approx 20 years. We were well known in the Hills District, very active with Rotary and the Uniting Church.
