Hello! My name is Kelly and I am a 34 year old professional that works full-time for a State Government department that is based in Parramatta CBD. At the moment I am currently living in Brisbane, QLD and working full-time remotely with regular trips down to Sydney to spend some time based in the office.
Since starting full-time remote working arrangements up in here in Brisbane, there have been a few periods where I have returned to Sydney to be based in the office for a few weeks at a time and this is where I have taken up opportunities to meet new families and their pets and help them with taking care of their homes and furry (and feathered!) loved ones while they are away. When I visit the office on short trips (usually about 2-3 nights every 3 or 4 weeks) I stay with a colleague who has 3 cats, so I am very lucky to have that kindness and homeliness available to me.
I have been employed as a public servant in state Government roles my entire working career, since I was 19 years old and I have been with my current Department since 2016. My work requires me to have a police check, and maintain a clear police record.
I currently own my own home in Brisbane, QLD which I previously lived in full-time for 7 years, but after deciding to rent the property out to do some travel it is now a fully tenanted investment property. After owning and living in my own home, I understand the demands and needs that come with keeping a household running smoothly.
Most recently I have been living back with my parents at the family home, my parents have the travel bug so they are often away on adventures and so I am there to look after my fur-siblings - a beautiful Chocolate Labrador and Siamese Cat.
My personal experiences with looking after fur-babies comes from previously owning a cat, a dog, fish, birds, and even a rabbit! I love all animals and I am very nurturing to their needs.
On a personal level, I am an outgoing, happy person that enjoys being dedicated to my career, going to the gym and netball. I am reliable and tidy and always show the upmost respect for people’s personal space and belongings. I do not live a party lifestyle, and happy to be bit of a home body.
I am able to provide character references from my workplace and friends and family, as well as recommendations and references from friends, family and previous house sits that I have done via this site which all confirm that I have successfully cared for their properties and pets while they have been away.
