We are a family of 4. I am french Canadian from Quebec and I work as a social worker at Marymead in Canberra. My husband, Adrian, is Mexican-Australian and work for the ACT governement in the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate. Our oldest daughter is Tara, she is in grade 1. Her sister is Cali, who just started pre-school. They are both creative, smart and well bahave little girls, (people say) yes we are prety proud! We love animals, but since we are modern-nomad (like our friends like to call us) we don`t have any, so we are always happy to take care of other people pet when needed.
We live in the country side near Canberra on a property we found on HelpX. We do some maintenance work, we mind the farm animals (chooks, cats, dog, sheeps, cow) when needed and we help in the garden, All of this in exchange of a little 100 years old cottage where we live. We have been living here for a year now and it has been a great exchange (for us and the owner).
We have a broad experience of volunteering, couch surfing, woofing and house sitting all over the world and we love this type of exchanges and interactions. This is why we register to Happy House sitter.
We take care of people places the way we would like people to take care of ours. We are pretty tidy people and are attentive to details. We love beeing outside, camping and bush walking as well as traveling. We love meeting friends and doing creative activities.
