My husband and I are looking for house sitters over the Christmas break for our home on a four acre block, just outside Woodend in the lovely Macedon Ranges. We also have a one year old Doberman, Rue, who will need feeding and a bit of exercise around the property but she is very happy in her dog run if you’re out exploring. Our chooks will have enough food and water for the stay but you’re welcome to the eggs, as long as you shut the gate as foxes are frequent visitors! Veggie gardens and berry patch can be put on timers if you’re not a green thumb, but any help on that front is a plus. Just save us some blueberries please! Other than that it’s a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the garden, spend nights by the outdoor fireplace, wander the orchard, explore spa and wine country, or watch the local wildlife (kangaroos and koalas on the door step).
