Hi potential housesitter,

My husband and I are looking for a dog sitter for our six 1/2 year old greyhound, Prince. We'll be going away for just shy of a week, departing the morning of Thursday 9th May and returning the evening of 13th May. It'd be great to have you here the day before we leave to make the change over smooth sailing, however this isn't necessary.

Location: We live at the foot of the Blue Mountains, in Cranebrook, about five minutes north of Penrith. There is a Woolworths, an ALDI and other variety stores,
at Cranebrook Village, a 15 minutes walk or a quick drive from our house.

We back onto a number of small weirs, which enables a lovely slow 30 minute walk around them. Prince loves it when it's not too hot out.

House: We live in a 2 storey house, with NBN access so you will have plenty of room and a fast internet connection. Please no smoking.

Dog: Prince is an extremely gentle and caring dog, who has realised how to be a dog after many years of racing. He enjoys 15-30 min walks once or twice a day and lounges around on his bed (inside if we are home or outside if we are not) for most of the rest of the day. If you are at home, he will come seek you out for a pat or a scratch, otherwise he is happy to chill and relax.

Prince doesn't lick, but loves a good scratch on the chest, under the collar (neck area) and on his belly, so please give him plenty of love from us.

We've had him cleared to be walked without a muzzle, but he must be on a leash in non-fenced areas (greyhound rules). There is a wonderful dog park around the corner from us (about 10 minute walk) and another in Jordan Springs. Both are enclosed spaces for him to romp around in with other dogs if you wish to take him there. Please avoid taking him into the weirs near our house though.
