Our house is a Queensland Style with veranda and ramp up to the front door. Bedroom is upstairs and has a large bathroom with shower and bath tub. The main living area, comprising large lounge and dining room and large kitchen is on the second floor which is accessible by ramp or stairs leading from ground floor where laundry is situated and where there is direct access to garden areas. There is a double carport under the house.
Location - house looks over the foothills and is one street back from Gorge Road. The area is very attractive and quiet except for our very chirpy feathered friends. Buses run along Gorge Road and the bus stop is at the end of the walkway that runs alongside the house. Athelstone Shopping Centre is within walking distance as is Linear Park and Athelstone Conservation Park. Doctors and Dentist are within walking distance and Target is 5 minutes by car.
Pets & farm animals
We d0 have a dog but my brother's family will be looking after him. We will though, ask that you be a backup should the unexpected happen and my brother be unable to care for him. Beau is a lively 3 year old Border Collie that is an absolute delight. He is chipped, de sexed and covered by pet insurance.
House Tasks
We have a medium size garden with lots of trees and plants and herbs. We do have a drip watering system but in Winter we turn it off. There will be some weed maintenance necessary in Autumn/winter but no mowing as there are no lawns.
