Good day,

We are a young family living on the northern beaches of Sydney. We recently had an addition to our family (Adam) and are taking him to Europe to meet the rest of his family. Unfortunately we have to leave our other baby (Moe the cocker spaniel) in Sydney whilst we are away and think that a house sitter is a great idea.

We will be away from 24 June 2019-7 October 2019 and ideally would like someone for the duration of our trip.

A little bit about Moe:
Moe is a very gentle, loving cocker spaniel. He is incredibly good with babies and kids because he is so gentle. He loves his house because he knows it and is comfortable here and unfortunately doesn’t like being left alone for long periods – he gets a bit anxious. For that reason we don’t (or try not) to leave him alone for more than 4 hours at a time so someone who works from home or part time or who is retired would be most suitable. He loves to play, go for walks, play with other (small) dogs and eat. He also loves chasing the rabbits and bandicoots we have in the area so keeping him secured is important. Once you meet him you’ll fall in love! He certainly gets a lot of attention on his walks.

A little bit about the house:
We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in Manly Vale on a quiet cul-de-sac. We have a front and back yard that we love gardening in. We have very friendly neighbours who are always willing to lend a hand or have a chat. There are 4 steps leading up to the front door, other than that the property slopes gently.

The kitchen, dining and living are semi-open plan and gets morning sun. There is a mounted heater / aircon in this area and a portable electric heater for the bedroom. We have WIFI, Netflix and Chromecast.

We have a king size and a double bed (and a baby room). Each bathroom has a shower and the ensuite has a bath.

We have a new garden (it was all concrete before) and, because it will be winter months, I think there will be as little or as much gardening as you’d like to do. Our back yard is very peaceful and it gets beautiful afternoon sun and we sit outside most evenings to relax and chase Moe. There is a gas BBQ and a fire pit outside.

We are a 7 minute drive from Manly beach and have good bus services in the area. Warringah shopping mall is less than 10 minutes drive away. We live 100m from one of the entrances to Manly dam and the surrounding bushland.

A little about us
We are travelling to Slovakia and Spain, as this is where our families live. We have been living in our home for 18 months and hope we have created a welcoming place for everyone.
