Hello there:) Like many other people, I don’t often travel because it distressed me to leave my beloved pets behind. My mother-in-law has planned a week long 60th birthday celebration in Fiji, and of course my first priority is making the suitable arrangements for our pets in our absence! So here’s the rundown: we live on a small acreage in a lovely coastal town of South Gippsland, and although this time of the year can by icy cold, trust me when I say there is a certain winter magic that comes with this crisp air from Bass Strait! We have a great beach only 6 minutes drive down the road, there’s walking tracks nearby, and we’re only a 1 hour drive to the spectacular Wilson’s Prom. Let me tell you, the Prom is a must see whilst you’re here- pack yourself a picnic, go for a hike and take in the spectacular views of this rugged and diverse national park. Our property is located on a quiet road, we have fantastic neighbours, and we’ve just completed some big renovations on our house (so there’s a brand new bedroom, bathroom, toilet, laundry, kitchen and living room for you to enjoy!). We’ve also recently installed a fireplace, but the living area has a split system for convenience. Our town has some great cafes and shops to peruse, as does many of the neighboring towns, plus there’s an old rail trail situated between Wonthaggi and Kilcunda, which is lovely to bike ride on, stop for lunch, then head back home! I will leave you with a list of fantastic local cafes, markets, and lovely quaint towns worth visiting that are scattered throughout out beautiful region, so you’ll have lots to explore whilst you’re here!
