Our sweet little house is in Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for a house and pet sitter who can look after our two bunnies and our beloved diabetic dog- he needs two injections a day 8-12 hours apart ( with an easy to use, preloaded pen style injector) and a regular walk and feed routine to keep him well.
A nurse or vet nurse or student would be perfect, however a person confident with animals will get the hang of it easily. Timo our dog is used to his injections and it doesn't bother him at all.
The Love Bunnies just need a head scratch, fresh food and greens from the veggie patch every day. They live in a large penned area outdoors.
A little plant care will also be needed, mostly just indoor plants- the organic veggie patch can usually look after itself at this time of the year and you're also welcome to nibble on whatever is growing.
The house is a 2 bedroom fisher-mans cottage with a quirky renovation and a big back yard. One queen bed and two single beds.
We are on the Westernport Bay, just a few minutes drive from the closest beach and a short distance away you'll find some of the loveliest beaches, walks, hikes, wineries, cellar doors, cheese makers and produce farms of the Mornington Peninsula. The famous peninsula hot springs are a 30 minute drive well worth visiting.
One thing we ask is that no cigarettes smokers apply- or heavy perfume be sprayed in the house as we humans have allergies.
We may need to meet you just before you move in, to teach you how to inject the dog! There is a possibility that the dates will extend to 5th October but will update this when we know and if you can't do all the dates please just let us know and perhaps we can find a neighbour to take the dog for those days.
