We have a 20 acre lifestyle property located in the very peaceful Kenton Valley, just 2 km out of Lobethal, and backing onto Bushland Park. The property has been extensively revegetated with thousands of trees and native shrubs, and the two-storey 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house overlooks a rambling 5 acre garden with a dam and above-ground salt water swimming pool. Native animals including kangaroos, possums, koalas and abundant birdlife can be seen enjoying the gardens and the house has extensive views over the valley. A slow combustion stove keeps the house cosy in winter, and an open fire in the lounge provides romantic ambience when the mood strikes to sprawl out with a glass or two of fine SA red. Afternoons by the pool and barbecues under the pergola, looking out over the valley, are pleasant summer pastimes.
Pets & farm animals
The catch is we have a very loving but energetic 5 year old Golden Retriever who loves her daily walks and a game of tug-of-war when you have the energy! There are also 6 tame hand-raised kangaroos, and a ring-tailed possum in an aviary which needs to be fed daily - although this is pretty simple, just a bucket of hard feed for the kangas and some chopped-up fruit and veggies for the possums.
House Tasks
The only other essential task is putting the wheelie bins outside the front gate on Sunday night (recycling on alternate weeks). The grass doesn’t grow much in summer so lawn mowing should not be necessary.
