My husband Paul and I live in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home (upstairs level) in Somerset, on the North West Coast of Tasmania. We have amazing views out over Somerset and across to Table Cape at Wynyard. The house has a set of stairs outside and internal stairs down to another spare room with ensuite, (all under renovation at present) and hubby's workshop. Have a carport too for undercover parking.

We have 3 small dogs, 2 miniature schnauzers, Twiggy and Stitch, both 2 years old, and a dear old poodle x, Betty Blanch, 14 years old, and 2 goldfish!

Our home is located within a leisurely 10 minute walk to the lovely Somerset village shops, chemist, doctors surgery and 2 IGA supermarkets and the beautiful beach is also just a 10 minute stroll away, which links around to the Cam River.

A 12 minute drive to our closest town to the east is Burnie, with major supermarkets, shopping - Kmart, Target etc. Wynyard township is 12 minute drive to the west - a lovely town on the Inglis River, and has an airport serviced by REX Airlines.

I'm celebrating my 60th birthday in May, and heading to the warmth of Port Douglas - was going to be Hawaii (but that is out of the question this year!).

Paul and I would welcome a kind and thoughtful person/couple to care for our 3 small dogs - who think they are humans. We both work full time, so they are used to being on their own during the day. They sleep outside in a cosy 'back porch' out of the weather, and have the run of a large front yard 24/7. They are fed of a morning, and just get a little homemade biscuit treat when I leave for work of a morning. They are all happy little souls, but dear old Betty Blanche is a little deaf and can be a little confused at times! I try to walk them once a day - but sometimes that doesn't always happen either if we are late home from work, or weather is bad. Betty has a doggies pram - I walk down to the beach foreshore and get her out for a walk along the footpath and then put her back in pram when she is getting tired, and for the walk back home. I have the schnauzers on a twin lead, who walk really well alongside the pram.

Our home is in safe neighbourhood and my sister lives just 200 metres down the road, if there was any issues or catastrophes. But she has 3 dogs too, so her sitting for us is out of the question, unless there was an emergency, she would only be too happy to help. Our dogs are cared for by the Somerset Vet, just a 2 minute drive down the road.
