Looking for a mature, experienced and extremely caring house sitter to care for one geriatric 21 year old female cat and one 15 year old active senior male cat. We require someone with experience in caring for elderly and/or sick cats so please let us know about your experience in this area.

Our 21 year old (she's 100 in human years) is slowing down - she needs medication twice a day (in food) and to be given regular small meals two-three times per day. She is deaf and has arthritis, hyperthyroidism, and kidney disease.

The male cat needs medication in his food twice a day but no other special care required. Giving the medication usually is not difficult but the 21 yo suffers from her digestion so sometimes needs encouragement to eat (and careful attention needs to be paid to her finishing her medications in her food). She also needs someone to pay careful attention that she has had a bowel movement at least every second day and if not then an oral laxative needs to be administered.

The cats are fed a raw diet so knowledge of safe handling of raw meat would be essential.

All the furniture in the house is (reproduction) antique so some care is needed not to damage it e.g. placing hot items the wooden surfaces.

The house is a three bedroom two bathroom house in inner North of Melbourne with a front and back garden. It's a quiet street but within walking distance to shops and good coffee.

There are plenty of pot plants in undercover areas around the property that will need an eye kept on them as they don't receive water when it rains but the actual garden beds will not need watering during August.
