My Kelpie Lex & I are seeking a dog | house sitter. Our compact, rustic flat is located in Brighton - easy walk to Foreshore & close to wetlands & reserves. Flat: 1*5 room;s; WiFi; 2 Cafe’s next door; & public transport. Most importantly, includes care of LEX! Lex is a gentle, 16 yr old Kelpie.. He is highly trained & command responsive. He loves nothing more than your attentive company & being in nature. Lex isn’t as agile as he once was, so needs gentle daily walks & attentive care - when he’s not snoozing! We’d love to connect with an experienced dog carer, preferably with medium | large breeds, who is open to nurturing my old Red Fella’s needs - from diet to gentle daily walks.

Lex is a sweet, 16yr old retired Kelpie who loves gentle, daily walks along the Bay Foreshore or rambling through nearby nature reserves. When he’s not exploring his ‘hood - he likes chilling (aka snoozing) at home. Lex is highly trained - command responsive. He is true to his breed: intelligent; intensely loyal & attentive to his loved ones; he’s not iinto socialising with other dogs - preferring the company of his human! Lex does have some old fella health issues - osteoarthritis & prostrate. His treatments include a specific diet | supplements, & a gentle exercise routine.
House Tasks
- Main focus: care of Lex. Appreciate maintaining cleanliness of the space; maybe mail collection. Gardening optional - if you enjoy gardening, you’re very welcome to Potter in our little courtyard garden. However, it’s not expected.
