We live in a small heritage house on a quiet, tree lined street in Northcote, VIC. Close to multiple public transport options, dozens of cafes, restaurants and parks within walking distance. We're looking for a house sitter who can help look after our 12 year old Parson/Jack Russell terrier foster fail Paddy. He's very sweet natured, loves humans and playing fetch. Don't let his age fool you, he has bounds of energy and will play ball or go on brisk walks as often as you'll take him. Thankfully he sleeps very well on his mat through the night. Another thing to note is that he has not learnt to love other dogs or cats. We're still working towards improving his manners, however the sitter needs to know that he may be a tad embarassing on walks when encountering other dogs. He's not aggressive while on lead but will bark/yowl quite loudly. This usually passes quickly once the dog is out of sight (he also has poor eyesight which works in our favour!). He walks well on a halti lead but can get overstimulated and pull at times. Thankfully he weighs less than 10kg so is not difficult to manage. Paddy does not have separation anxiety but we would appreciate a sitter who is able to spend a reasonable amount of time with him as he is used to one of us being around working from home. The garden also has some veggies and herbs which would need some light attending to.

We're also considering going away for a few months next year, so this could potentially be a good opportunity to test the waters with a shorter stay.
