Large modern home in semi-rural setting on 1.8 Hectares (4 1/2 acres), largely landscaped with trees, lawn, daffodils and roses. Only 8 kilometers from city centre and about 10 minutes travel time. Close to all facilities.
The house is located in a semi-rural area with surrounding properties all of about 2 hectares in size. The house is surrounded by mainly deciduous trees and lawn with thousands of daffodil and other bulbs, which will be in bloom over the period of house-sitting.
The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with one spa bath. There is a modern kitchen with European appliances and a full range of quality cooking equipment. There are three heat pumps and a wood heater to provide warmth or cooling. An outside pool has a change-room with two showers and the dogs are washed under one of these showers.
Our larger dog has an outdoor kennel, while the Westie sleeps in a corner on her own bedding in the main living room. They are easy care, friendly dogs and great company.

Outside is a 13 metre in-ground concrete pool.
There is a range of exercise equipment including an exercise bike, rowing machine and treadmill.
A conservatory area next to the Living Room provides a semi-outdoor relaxing area and is adjacent to a gas BBQ.
The neighbours are very friendly and also love travelling and are great company. They know all the major places to visit.

There are many attractions to visit in Launceston. There are many good restaurants and also wineries, with some less than 5 km away. Launceston is well located in the central North of Tasmania for a wide range of day trips across the Northern part of Tasmania, from Cradle Mountain, Tamar Valley, and East Coast.

Launceston has an excellent regional museum and art museum. There are other art collections and also wood design such as the Design Centre.

Launceston has some great parks and local walks. there are areas of natural features such as the Cataract Gorge and the Tamar Island Wetland Reserve.

Travelling further, the Tamar Valley has many food, wine, historic and scenic points. It is possible to travel to beaches and coastal areas within one hours drive along Bass Strait. There is access to National Parks within one hour of our home and a day trip to Cradle Mountain is possible.
