Cat lovers apply here! Sitter urgently required for 1 bedroom apartment in St Kilda East from Wed 23 August through Sun 3 September. Our foster fur babies Venus and Serena would love your company and this is essentially all we are asking of a sitter - minimal sitting of the house to be done beyond enjoying your time here!
Great location close to the cafes, restaurants, bars and boutiques of Chapel Street, the wonderful Astor Theatre, and Alma Park, home to Hank Marvin markets every Saturday. >5 min walk to tram to CBD (approx. 25 minute travel time to CBD during peak hour), and >15 minute walk to Windsor Railway Station (approx. 11 min travel time to CBD). The nearest grocery store is Coles in Balaclava, a 15 minute stroll away.
The apartment is bright, neat and comfortably equipped for one including double bed, television, Netflix/Stan, PS4, books, record player, and portable heater and cooler. Please note the apartment is on the first floor and unfortunately only accessible by a short flight of stairs, should you have access needs.
The apartment is in a quiet building of six (shared washing machine and dryer within building), while the building is contained within a secure complex (front gate currently being serviced, but normally can only be opened by remote). In the complex grounds there is a car space for your use, clotheslines, pool, barbecue area and tennis court.
Pets & farm animals
We have two beautiful foster cats currently in our care through a local rescue, Venus and Serena (who are indeed sisters). They are strictly indoor cats, and all they will need is food and affection (and a clean litter tray!) - more information and photos can be found here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/501662.
House Tasks
No particular tasks are required of the sitter beyond looking after the cats; we don't have our own garden (and our indoor plants have long perished) and the grounds are maintained by the body corporate. Checking the mail would be helpful, however most comes through email these days. We just want to make sure the cats are being loved and fed morning and night. Non-smokers are preferred.
