We live in a Family orientated area with 4 local Parks within walking distance and there are some nice walks if you want to Drive 10 mins. Regarding Mail please bring in from the Letterbox, Bins are Monday Evening, please put them out. Neighbours are friendly and we are all on good terms.
Our Home is newly painted outside, a single storey Weatherboard House with small front Garden and new Deck with wrap around path/grass. I will add pics of our Home as soon as the rain stops! Parking off street for one Car. Street parking is safe.
We are happy to loan you our Parking Pass when you arrive, a file with a lot of info on the area is in your room. Frankston Trains every half hour take 1hr 10min to Melbourne direct. Stations and Trains are patrolled with Transport Police and it is safe to travel by Train.
Kitchen and Lounge with L shaped leather Sofa on entry and Dining area with real fire. The Deck with table and chairs, BBQ and Swing on the Patio. Miele washing machine and laundry area included for your use during your stay.
For your stay: a quiet Double bedroom with Robe/Mirrors and Windows from ceiling to floor - overlooking Deck and Plants. Lots of light. There is an additional Single room and another Double room if required. Bathroom is old fashioned but hot water works very well and you will get a nice hot Bath or Shower when you want it! Separate Loo.
More about the Area: Frankston Beach: A wonderful and safe swimming or walking Beach, Dogs must be on leash and there are strict guidelines regarding when they can be taken there. The Council is not shy about giving Dog owners a hefty fine.
The Mornington Peninsula is around 20-40- mins away by Car. Wineries, Craft Beer Breweries, Markets in nearby towns such as Rye, Mornington, Sorrento and Dromana.
The Rye Hot Springs are well known and recommended if you want to relax, offering outdoor Japanese style soaking in around 30 small Rock pools – ranging in temperature - up to around 38 degrees. New ‘Parc Pool’ complex in Frankston with water tunnels, sauna, Jacuzzi, Gyms and Sports – there is also an outdoor Pool at Frankston Pines from Nov to March which is lovely.
Local ‘Village’ or ‘Hoyts’ Cinemas nearby – by car - or visit the privately-owned Fringe Fim orientated Cinema in nearby Mornington (20min) OR try the Dromana Drive In 35mins along the new Peninsula Link Motorway.
Good eateries such as the authentic ‘French Baguette’ (a favourite) are a treat - and just around the corner browse around our local, Award winning ‘Robinsons Bookshop’, or take away a gift from our friendly and thoughtfully stocked ‘Gift Shop’ at the top of Wells St.
For Art lovers, Sorrento Town is a must but closer to home is the Frankston Art Centre for ‘live’ Shows, the Elizabeth Murdoch sponsored ‘McLelland Gallery’ (outdoor walk with Artwork), ‘Manyung Gallery’ for authentic Aboriginal Art in nearby Mt Eliza village and rich irresistible French and Australian fine products at Mimie's Chocolates - are highly recommended here!
We look forward to having a conversation with you to see if you would like to stay and to find out more about your interest in Pet Care and House Sitting!

Pets & farm animals

Our nearly 2 yr old Staffie Cross 'Baccie' is typical of his Breed; friendly, cuddly, loyal and sociable with other Dogs. He has never been aggressive to other Dogs at all. He needs a run each day at an enclosed Dog Park 10 mins by foot or 5 by Car. He loves the Beach (under 10 min away by Car) and must be kept on his Long Lead. He is no trouble at all, happily jogging along with whomever is looking after him. NOTE: It is possible we MAY also have an older Staffie visiting called 'Sonny' (Boy) who is very sweet natured - and is house trained. At present this is not confirmed and would be subject to what our House Sitter feels comfortable with.
