My partner and I are travelling overseas for just over a week and require someone to care for our 2 cats and 2 dogs (and maybe a third dog as a foster).

Our two cats Marmalade and Pedro are strictly inside cats and have their own cat run attached to the house they can go into. It is really important that our house sitters are careful with closing doors behind them etc, to ensure they do not get out. Our cats have never been outside. Because of this, we ask that no children are to visit the home while you are house sitting. We also ask that no one with other pets apply for this visit.

Our two rescue greyhounds are Georgie and Billy. Billy and Georgie are lazy rescue greyhounds and only require one walk a day. There may be a foster dog here as well. The dogs do sleep in the bedroom on the floor on their own beds, but do not make a peep once the lights are out. All the good stuff you have heard about greyhounds as pets is very true - they are very easy going and get on just fine with the cats.

Our little cottage is an older style three bedroom home with aircon in the main bedroom and in the lounge, a large modern kitchen, a large back deck, a tv in the bedroom and one in the lounge, as well as wifi and netflix.

We are located a 10 minute walk to train station which is a 35 minute ride to the city. In the car we are about an hours drive to the Sunshine Coast and half an hour in good traffic to the city. We are located at Strathpine, Brisbane's northern suburbs. We have lots of shops and everything you need close by, and most things can be walked to, including the major shopping centre which is 12 minutes on foot.

Reliability and maturity are the key attributes we are looking for. Ideally we would like a couple, with no kids, that are home during evenings to keep the dogs company. Our beautiful greyhounds are inside whenever we are. We are looking for true animal lovers.

Plants on the deck may need watering once or twice while we are away.
