We have a 3 bedroom home in Stroud township, only 3 min walk to shop, post office, cafe, pub.
Older style weatherboard home, we have done a few renovations, but still old feel and very homely, all mod cons, but not a 5 star motel!
2 bathrooms and fairly modern kitchen
2 combustion heaters in living areas, split system aircon in lounge room, and ceiling fans to 2 bedrooms and living areas.
Double carport . Rustic outdoor games and entertainment room.
We are on close to an acre, but don't expect property maintenance to be done in our abscence
We have NBN wifi. Netflix. Wireless printer, blue ray player, Xbox. 3 rooms with large TVs.
Stroud is a beautiful historic village, approx 1hr north/ west of Newcastle. we are situated in a high position with lovely views from our front verandah.
House has ramps and is fully accessible for wheelchair as hubby is a paraplegic.

We are looking for house and pet sitters for occasional 2-3 nights and a 1-2 times a year for 1-2 weeks.
Mark my hubby is a paraplegic and has bred mini foxy x Jack Russell dogs for over 25 yr.
Until we met 4 yrs ago, Mark was home with them almost all the time. He very rarely had a holiday or even a night away from his fur babies.
Mark and I now enjoy a weekend away where possible, and at least 2-3 weeks of holidays a year.
Unfortunately, our fur babies suffer from anxiety when they have no human company and bark a lot, which has resulted In Neighbour’s contacting us whilst we are away causing a lot of distress for everyone.
We have tried family visiting dogs throughout the day but night time was still a problem. So we really need live in company for our babies.
They have a really big yard and exercise themselves by chasing each other, so just need someone to be here particularly at night, feed them, talk to them and love them. They're all outside dogs, but will sneak in for cuddles if you enjoy that!
Our cats are self caring, as cats are!! Both inside and outside cats!
As long as they have food and water, and occasional litter empty they are happy. Of course pats when they ask are always appreciated.
Smokey the horse is usually in a large paddock up the road when we travel so just a quick check to make sure he is ok is adequate.
Pets & farm animals
Lucy and Dozer ( cats) independent just feed and water daily. Watch tv with you at night
Smokey ( horse) - unless you really want to look after him, I will move to another paddock, so you don’t need to do anything
Sophie, Angus ( our geriatric dogs) - feed and water daily. Just love human company
Rolly ( blind jack-Russell) - feed and water daily. Lots of pats, manages just fine, but gets upset by noises
Peaches- ( spoilt, sleeps inside mini foxy) has nervous issues and separation anxiety. Feed and water daily. Has a crate inside that she sleeps in and also when no humans at home
Jimmy ( 3 legs mini foxy) , beau ( mini foxy x jack) and Miss Jay ( mini foxy x jack) our 3 youngest and most energetic- fed and wate daily. Lots of attention when outside they will chase each other around the yard for excercise. Need barking collars put on when no humans home.
They really are a great bunch of dogs just love human contact
