Lynette and Brian accepted a 6 week engagement with us recently to house sit and more importantly care for our cavoodle,Rupert. Having never accepted strangers into our home before, it was a leap of faith for us and way outside our comfort zone. Much to our delight, things couldn’t have gone more smoothly. From the first interview process to the final handover, we found Lynette and Brian to be professional and serious about their house sitting responsibilities. They communicated with us regularly whilst we were away by text and email, sending photos of Rupert and giving us updates on all local events. When a leak was noticed in the guest bathroom they organised our plumber to repair it promptly. Brian initiated many small household maintenance tasks, oiling hinges, cleaning out fish pond filters and water fountain upkeep, plus many other tasks. Lynette had said to us to write down what we wanted them to do and consider it done”. That is exactly what happened. We arrived home to a spotless house, in the same condition it was left in. Pantry items were replaced and bedding changed and beds remade. But the most important aspect for us was the caring for and loving of our dog. He clearly was extremely well cared for and loved, and it was obvious that Lynette and Brian are animal lovers, even the fish survived. We found Lynette and Brian to be reliable, trustworthy, honest and friendly. The fact that they are a retired couple, happy to be home during the day with Rupert as their shadow, worked in our favor ensuring that there was company for him all day. Lynette and Brian have just finished cat/house sitting for us for 5 weeks. It is a very anxious time for me as I worry about and miss my three lovely cats. From the first time we met we knew they would be perfect and they were. While we were away they reassured us all was well and sent a photo of the cats all snuggled up together and looking very happy. When we arrived home they were indeed happy and healthy. It was obvious that Lynette and Brian had bonded with them and Brian in particular loved playing with them which the cats loved and need as well. The house was cleaner than when we left and Brian had done little jobs around the house including oiling our outside table. Brian & Lynette were great, really nice people! They cared for Keating like he was their own cat. They fed him, played with him & totally loved him (read totally spoilt him). It was clear to me when I came home that he adored them back. Additionally, my unit was spotlessly clean & my courtyard & plants looked better than they had for a long time. They went over & above what I had asked for, even re-folding linen in my linen cupboard & tidying my tupperware cupboard. Brian also did some minor repairs to doors etc & oiled & painted various pieces of furniture. I would have them as housesitters any time.

What lovely people Lynette and Brian are. We were so privileged to have them stay at our home while we were on holidays. Our home was spotlessly clean and our pets were very much at ease to have them there. We would highly recommend them to anyone. Love you guys and looks forward to you coming back in July. Brian and Lyn are very reliable, lovely Housesitters who left our house looking better than when we left it. The dog was happy and obviously pampered as were the house plants that had never looked so healthy.
