I am a fit and active, non smoking, single lady who retired a few years ago after working for 38 years as a high school English teacher. Since then, I have travelled extensively and worked as a casual teacher. I have owned a number of homes in Sydney and a holiday house on the NSW south coast. Almost 4 years ago I moved to Brisbane to be close to my daughter and her young family but we have recently decided to return to Sydney. So I am now looking to buy a home here and have decided to do some house sitting while I am trying to find a place. I have always taken great pride in decorating and caring for my homes, as is evident in the attached photos of my most recent home.. What I have to offer: Responsibility, honesty, and reliability - my long and successful career as a teacher and Head Teacher, are evidence of my reliability and sense of responsibility. A clear Police Check dated 19 September 2016 is attached. Excellent housekeeping skills - people often compliment me on the tidiness and cleanliness of my home and my well kept gardens. Genuine love of animals - for most of my life I have had a pet cat or dog (and sometimes both!). Our pets have always been greatly loved and treated as members of the family. I have bonded quickly with each of the pets I have minded when house sitting, given them lots of attention and love and have been very sad to leave them. Extensive house sitting experience - I have done 5 house sits in Sydney, each for approximately 4 weeks, and 5 sits of 1- 2 weeks each in Melbourne. Most recently I have done 2 house sits in Brisbane. I am a real cat lover and have mostly cared for one or 2 cats but have also succefully minded a number of dogs. All of the owners were extremely happy with the way I cared for their home and pet(s), gave me very positive references and invited me to house sit again for them. I am sure I would be a great housesitter for you.
Glenda sat our home for 2 and a half weeks with short notice and was fantastic. We have 2 cats and a dog and she ensured there were fed, looked after and loved, and the dog was walked regularly as asked. She also ensured the indoor and outdoor plants were looked after as we had requested her to. She managed our house wonderfully and when we got home, the lined was washed and the house was thoroughly cleaned (better than when it was left!) I would definitely recommend Glenda for house and pet sitting and will definitely request her services for out next travels.

Glenda was a stellar house sitter! From our very first communication we felt reassured that she would be a responsible, organised and reliable person to take care of our two kitties. We were not disappointed and Glenda took great care of our house and our cats. One of our cats can be quite anxious but Glenda persevered in establishing a relationship with him. We arrived home to two well-fed, happy and healthy cats and a clean home. What more could anyone wish for?

Glenda house sat for about six weeks. We had a death in the family and so needed to get home sooner than planned. Glenda was gracious in agreeing to move out early. She took wonderful care of our home and it was a marvel to return home and see what an outstanding and meticulous condition she had left the house in. She kept in periodic contact while we were on holiday and we always felt warm and fuzzy with her. Hopefully we can have her back for her next holiday - she's the PERFECT Home Sitter. We can recommend her without any qualms whatsoever.

We only learnt about happyhousesitters a few weeks before our departure. We decided to give it a go. Glenda ticked all the boxes. We returned to a clean home. Our garden had been cared for- the lawn was mown. During our absence Glenda had kept us informed and established friendly relationships with our neighbours. Glenda has looked after my cat Minky twice. On both occasions she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. My cat has some medical requirements which were readily dealt with, he was very well cared for and happy as a clam. I would have no hesitation in recommending her for any house sit. It was lovely to come back to a nice clean home after a long flight. Glenda clearly took good care of my apartment, the plants were in great shape and Shana was healthy and content. I wish her all the best for her future housesits.

Glenda was kind enough to look after my apartment, and my gorgeous cat Chloe, whilst I was away on holidays for a week. She was responsible and kept my place clean, and most of all looked after Chloe like she was her own pet. I would highly recommend her as a house and pet sitter, and would definitely be asking for her help again in the future.

Glenda has looked after our apartment and cat twice recently and we would highly recommend her to anyone else looking for a house sitter. Glenda responds to messages promptly and made finding a house sitter a breeze. She is friendly, clean and responsible, and most importantly she was great with our fur baby. Glenda looked after my 2 bedroom unit in Sydney and cared for my pet cat while I was overseas last year for almost a month.
