I'd love to house and pet sit for you! I'm 51 confident, clean, tidy, honest and very easy to get along with :)
I'm a total animal lover.
I grew up with dogs, cats, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice (a bit of a menagerie). I've looked after city houses with cats, suburban houses with dogs, country houses with chickens. I know how to look after parrots and birds. I've lived with a Iguana and know about feeding, heating, etc.
And animals seem to really like me.
I have also lived in houses where the lawns need to be kept trimmed, plants watered, pool treated with chemicals, garbage taken out on set days, mail collected, etc.
I'm happy to treat your home as my own, I'm tidy, clean, honest, really enjoy travelling and new experiences. I am used to different houses with different things.
HOUSE SITTING EXPERIENCE
I've pet and house sat for 7-8 people in various suburban and country locations in NSW.
Animal care experience includes; dogs, cats, reptiles (lizards, snakes, etc), tortoises and terapins, birds, Guine Pigs, rabbits, hamsters, fish, poultry, mini pigs, goats - love them all :)
I've looked after houses with pools, lawns, plants, etc. Happy to follow your list of chores.
I work form my laptop so I spend days in your house looking after your pets, they get full time attention and care.
PET CARE EXPERIENCE
Dogs
I've owned numerous dogs: boxer (Carl), jack russels (Pan, Milo), collie (Tessa), blue healer (Bracken), spaniel (Bella). I get along with most dogs. I'm friendly and firm which they seem to like. I'm what you'd call a dog person
Cats
I grew up with 6+ cats. When I was a kid we had x3 cats. My dad brought home a cat that was living in the warehouse as he thought it was going to die. The next morning we woke up to find it had given birth to 5 kittens. We ended up finding homes for them all but kept x3 including the mother (who was the most affectionate cat I've ever met). So I also love cats
Fish
Again I've had numerous fish, gold fish (of course) but also had my own fresh water aquarium for about 5 years. So I can look at any sort of fish set-up
Birds
I've house sat with caged birds. I've also had my own chickens and geese so I understand the things you need to look after them
Rabbits
I had a giant (and I mean giant) Old English rabbit as a kid. He lived to be 9 years old. I love rabbits and know how to look after them, pick fresh food and cleaning out their pens, etc.
Guinea Pigs
I had numerous guinea pigs as a kid, along with hamsters, mice and a white rat. I know about looking after them, pick fresh food and cleaning out their pens, etc.
Reptiles
I've house sat with an Iguana and a snake. I like lizards and snakes, not at all phobic. I've also sat a tarantula before - although I didn't handle that one :) I know about reptiles needing heat and how to feed them. The Iguana liked me so much he'd climb up me to say hi
Horses
Never had much experience with horses, sadly. I love riding them but haven't looked after one yet.
Chickens
I grew up with a hen house full of 20 odd chickens (and they were ver odd), I know about feeding them, collecting the eggs, roosting at night, etc. I've looked after all sorts of breeds of chickens and know about their care.
I can supply references on request. I've also had an online personal verification and police check done with Onfido Background Checks, happy top share with you.
