Hi! We're Jordan and Maura an Australian/Dutch couple living in Sydney. At the moment Jordan is a second year medical student and Maura is finishing her master-thesis in developmental and educational psychology. We live in Rosebay with Jordans family, but looking to housesit somewhere near the university of Sydney. We are clean/tidy and pet friendly. Our interests are hiking, traveling and playing board games. Also Jordan loves to run, so a furry companion to join him on a morning jog would be much appreciated. My name is Robyn and my husband, Ray and I went on vacation in October this year. After interviewing many candidates through the Happy House sitter website it was an easy decision to ask Jordan and Maura to house sit for us. We found Jordan and Maura punctual to the interview and obliging with any requests we had of them during the house sit. They had to look after our dog Gilbert, taking him for a walk each day and to water outdoor pot plants (many of them) Throughout the process we found Maura and Jordan reliable and easy to communicate with. When we returned home our house was immaculately clean. It was as if nobody had lived in the house while we were away. Nothing in the house had even changed position. It was truly amazing. Gilbert our dog looked relaxed, happy and fit. Although he was happy to see us return we could tell he had not been stressed during our absence. Jordan and Maura communicated with us throughout our holiday on the welfare of Gilbert, which was very kind of them. They also consulted us about any issues with the house to ensure everything would be ok. I was a little worried about the garden but I returned to find it thriving, even a temperamental Maidenhair fern was looking lush and well cared for. Ray and I are extremely grateful to Maura and Jordan for their attention to Gilbert, the garden and the house. It enabled us to have a relaxing holiday knowing such a trustworthy and responsible young couple were caring for our home and pet. Ray and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Jordan and Maura as house sitters and will definitely ask them to come sit for us again during our next vacation.
