Hi! I am a Paddington based veterinarian but spend a fair bit of my time locuming around the country too. To say I like animals would be an understatement. I have been house sitting for around 3 years now and even done it overseas as well. I am a daily runner and love to take a dog with me if I can get the chance as it makes it so much more enjoyable. So your pets are certainly going to be tuckered out if they need to be. I can certainly supply references on request and I am currently registered as a veterinary surgeon in Queensland. Because of my job and the drugs we use, my registration also requires me to have extensive international background checks that are updated yearly. So your house (and pets) are certainly going to be in very safe hands.
This was our first time using a house sitter - something we deeply regret. After two months away, we returned home early (due to COVID 19) to a house that was damaged, very dirty, vomit in two rooms, stained mattress, beer stained rugs, reeked of cigarette smoke and items missing from our property. Our neighbours (on both sides) complained that the house sitter hosted parties and made a considerable amount of noise. The house sitter left our property - and our pet - one day earlier than arranged. We came home to a hungry and distressed dog and it took us several days and considerable expense to rectify. The house sitter has ignored our requests to discuss and recompense.
