(Long sits preferred - 2024 mainly in QLD and ACT maybe late 2024/2025 - will change thereafter depending on the next State/Territory we choose to discover).
Extra long sits 8/9 months or longer we could be amenable to a complete change of scenery and position within Aus.
We prefer to experience different areas of Australia properly and for the pets we may be looking after to settle comfortably, happy and safely in our care.
We are also happy to take on housesits occasionally without any pets - if all you need is your home occupied for security, maintenance and peace of mind whilst you are away.
We are a stable couple without any encumbrances, never quite brave enough to have human children, though more than compensated by the pets with whom we have shared our lives.
Traveled extensively, owned and maintained homes in a few countries from apartments, town houses, residential 1/2 acres to 2 and 1/2 acre country "estates".
Always had pets that have never ever spent a night unaccompanied. A Weimaraner, Doberman, Beagles, Dachshunds and a few crazy cats who all lived out their lives in comfort and gave us great joy.
We began house-sitting in April 2019 after vacating our apartment in Armadale, VIC and have so far enjoyed each and every sit we have undertaken.
We really only have three requirements from our side - internet reception, parking and house-proud owners/tenants. Another important point (probably also an additional requirement...) we prefer that dogs are permitted in the house, even if their normal sleeping arrangements are elsewhere, garage, shed, laundry etc. however we do not do well with situations where the dogs are not allowed indoors at anytime!
We do now have our own fairly extensive mobile data supply to utilise if you for some reason do not have an internet service.
I work mostly from home (computer-related) and my partner was previously employed full-time in Armadale as a travel agent. Fast forward to after Covid 19 tribulations, Yvette has now re-trained and been certified and licensed in the field of Individual/Aged Care, and although now only on a casual employment basis is enjoying it immensely!
Although at this point we are not prepared to take on pets of our own long term, we are really enjoying the opportunity once again of looking after some furry friends whilst their own parents are away and also been able to experience life in totally different areas without creating any long-term limiting encumbrances.
We hope we will be able to fill in as "parents and/or custodians" of your pets and/or home, whilst you are away pursuing your own recreational, adventure or other decided break from your everyday life at home.

Adam and Yvette are a wonderful couple - very capable, and with a lovely sense of humour; we left for our little holiday totally confident that our two dogs and house would be well looked after. They were great at keeping in touch via WhatsApp whilst we were away and were waiting for us at the airport on our return. On arriving home, the house looked spic and span, and the dogs appeared happy, plus Yvette cooked dinner for us, which was so lovely as we'd had an exhausting day travelling. They looked after our cat and dog as if they were there own, and were able to deal with any problems (broken plumbing, sick cat) without any fuss. They sent us regular updates and photos. Adam and Yvette were amazing people to look after our dog Picasso. They clearly enjoyed his company and Picasso had obviously bonded well with them.
I think he will miss them dearly.
They were extremely good at communciating with us whilst we were away and photos were sent every few days to us each with a different twist showing Picasso's nature in many varying aspects. Obviously they went to a great deal of trouble in thinking up different situations, knowing the pleasure it would bring us.
I would most definately recommend Adam and Yvette to look after your house and pet/s. They treated our house with a great deal of respect and I have no doubt they would do so for anyone else.

Adam and Yvette looked after our cat and our large property for 4 months and I can happily recommend them to others. We returned home to a very happy cat, a spotless home, and a very well maintained large garden. They even had to endure days without power after a very bad storm and managed the cleanup afterwards amazingly. We were given regular updates and photos of our cat being spoilt with many games and comforts and we’re not sure if we can keep up the attention he received! Adam and Yvette were able to manage all aspects of our property , including mowing the grass, using our wood fire and looking after my cacti and indoor plants. Everything was perfect when we got home. Even milk in the fridge! Thank you Adam and Yvette.

When we returned the house was impeccably clean, and our cat was very content and relaxed, they were lovely company for her. They sent regular photos and updates to me which was fantastic. Adam and Yvette's communication was excellent. They send thoughtful and detailed messages regularly updating us on the wellbeing of our cats. They invented fun games to keep them entertained and showed genuine care for our fur babies. They watered the grass daily - the garden was in good condition after many hot days, and the house was clean and inviting when we returned. Adam & Yvette are an honest, down to earth couple and we felt instantly at ease leaving our home and two very spoilt cats in their capable care.
Our very aloof and knee selective Main Coon surprised us by walking into the room and jumped straight up on Adams knee to make himself comfortable!
Adam & Yvette communicated regularly with us whilst we were away and managed our cats’ demanding feeding schedule.

Adam and Yvette are a particularly nice couple. They looked after our house and our two very active dogs with wonderful efficiency. We came home to a very clean house and two calm dogs. Adam and Yvette Larsson have looked after our home and our two cats, Jasper and Mink, twice this year (2019). Once for a week, in April and once for nearly a month in May /June They are very easy to deal with and cope with the unexpected, taking changes in their stride.
They showed an attention to detail and respected our house owner wishes and requests. They also fed the native birds, watered plants and kept an eye on the garden.
On our return our home and pets were in very good condition. The house was left meticulously clean and the cats very healthy and happy. And there was milk in the fridge!
