Hi :D

I'm Janice, a childless petless non-smoking non-drinking non-partying single lady who loves animals, in particular dogs and cats who will enjoy my company. Although I only started pet sitting outside of my friends' circle from April 2024, I've fallen in love with all aspects of pet sitting from having pets to love, exploring new local areas, increase in exercise and general enjoyment, meeting new people and helping others.

So far I have looked after dogs (from Italian Greyhound to Labrador and Groodle), adult cats, kittens, chickens, green tree frogs, hermit crabs and a rabbit while living in houses and apartments for 20+ different households, some of which I've returned to again. I enjoy walking along different routes when walking with dogs, going to dog parks and other dog-friendly places. Several walks a day is also not a problem, time and weather permitting.

I work from home full time, a home office setup would be much appreciated but not necessary. Outside of pet sitting, I enjoy hiking, swimming, cycling, eating out occasionally, playing board games and being enviro-friendly where possible. I like to compost my food scraps, reduce what I throw out and repurpose / reuse where possible. I prefer digital house/pet care instructions over printed instructions.

I enjoy keeping my living environment clean and tidy. More than happy to provide updates on your pets and doing odd jobs around your home.

I tend to travel on public transport so would need public transport access within 30 minutes walk.

Note: I'm sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I'm afraid I can't pet sit in a smoker's home or if a neighbour is a heavy smoker.

Janice looked after my cat while on was on holiday last week. While away Janice kept me updated daily and sent videos of her with my cat playing and cuddling which made me feel very confident she was in good hands. When I returned the house was very tidy and had been well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate in having Janice look after Louise again and in fact have already asked her for my next trip but unfortunately was already booked.

Janice is a perfect housesitter. Our pets were very well looked after and our house was kept amazingly clean. She is so polite and is a great communicator. Janice looked after our large house for 12 days and we couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Janice!

Janice hit it off immediately with our cat who can be quite aloof. Our dog, who is not great with strangers, was won over by Janice as she quietly built rapport with him. She kept us informed throughout her stay and the house was immaculate on our return. We loved the regular photos and updates. We would not hesitate to recommend Janice to others lucky enough to book her. She happily liaised with our neighbours when getting to know our dog and was very willing to ask for clarification as various situations arose. Her calm and gentle approach to our animals was greatly appreciated by us and we were delighted by her humorous texts.

This was my first experience with a house sitter and I could not have been more pleased. Janice visited me before starting the stay. She kept in touch throughout. She took care of my cat so well that Marmalade’s routine was unchanged while I was away. My house and pot plants were in great condition on my return. I have no hesitation in recommending Janice.
